Why Diversity Training Is Bullsh*t...

By Matthew@The Lunatic's Asylum

Forced "Diversity training"serves four nefarious purposes:
a. To create discord and hatred where none exists, because if there weren't any no one would need a freakin’ Diversity Trainer at a couple of hundred bucks an hour. This rancor will later be used to extract wealth and concessions from corporations and government, acting under the pressure exerted by "bad press", "bad public relations" and plain, old embarrassment by those who have a vested interest in manipulating them for personal gain.
b. The entire Diversity racket is just another form of Affirmative Action and Welfare Statism, creating sinecures within HR departments and corporate structures for those who otherwise could barely hold a job. You know who you are African-American women. (save the hostile e-mail, I shall not apologize for that, nor take it back), and handing out checks to those who didn't earn them because they happen to be a member of today's, trendy "aggrieved minority".
c. Diversity Training is designed to keep the grievances (both real and imagined) of past generations alive because they’ve been so useful in extracting wealth from the productive (and innocent) for certain minorities (the unproductive and guilty) in the past. Why kill the goose that lays golden eggs? Future generations who may not have felt the sting of Jim Crow, or who place no significance upon the Stonewall Riots, and have largely jettisoned Gloria Steinham for Jackie Collins and Debbie Macomber need to have a sense of grievance drilled into them, on a near-constant basis. The earlier the better, and what better place than at work, where you have 'em for eight hours a day?
d. We have far too many attorneys with far too much time on their hands, and so we like to keep some of them busy with trying to prove that asking Esteban, Shaniqua, and that guy in accounting who definitely takes it in the ass to show up for work on time, in proper attire and ready to work, and to play by the same rules everyone else does, creates a "hostile work environment" that requires a huge settlement the aggrieved will never see.

  1. The promotion of diversity causes race or ethnic tensions. The idea relies on there being mayhem. Liberals never want peace or fun. Only to stir up trouble, then have the taxpayers pay for it.

    1. oh,they DEFINITELY get it - at least those really driving it do... The 'useful idiots' OTOH...

They simply **MUST** have "racism" - otherwise there would be no need for crusaders like them to fight against it!

It's like 'poverty' - it must be Constantly re-defined, else there would be no market for all those anti-poverty warriors!

In short, IT'S WHAT KEEPS THEM IN POWER!!

  3. A previous employer went waaaaaaaayyy overboard with this BS...

They literally told us that "The Golden Rule" wasn't good enough - that we were obligated to operate by "The PLATINUM Rule"...

It wasn't "do unto others as you'd have them do unto you" but rather "TREAT others as THEY they Want you to treat THEM."

One example given was that there was a particular employee who was of west-indian descent and REALLY took offense at being referred to as "African-American"...

I asked if this was serious - she was.
I asked if this applied to everyone - it did.
I asked if this meant *I* was likewise entitled to be treated as *I* wished - I was(!!)...

    So...

I requested everyone address me as "Oh Great and wonderful One", handle all my paperwork for me, and exempt me from obligation to "The Platinum Rule" since I wasn't a mind-reader and didn't think it made sense to be obligated to remember each individual person's little peccadilloes as opposed to one basic standard of reasonable behavior.

The rest of the class laughed then applauded, the "instructress" OTOH COMPLETELY failed to see the humor... (rolleyes)

And yeah - they were serious... and... NO. It was *NOT* acceptable to use the generic term 'black', though "white" remained perfectly acceptable for those who were not 'AA' or 'owid' or ... or... or... or even...

I actually got called in for a "counseling session" (read:hang-em-high-meeting) because someone overheard me use the term "monkey-work" and just knew - KNEW - that I was referring to (screw-it) black people.

I handled it in the only proper manner - I rolled my eyes and asked if they were serious - they were.

I stood, and calmly told them that:
    1) they were all INSANE
    2) anyone with two brain cells to rub together ought to be able to see that if person "A" used the word "monkey" and person "B" automatically assumed that meant "black people" then PERSON "A" IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE BIGOT IN THE BUNCH! - ergo...
    3) I would not even dignify the stupidity of the accusation with any further response
    4) had work to do, and
    5) they should feel free to call me if they ever had something REASONABLE AND SANE to discuss with me.

I then wished them all a good day exited the room - leaving most with their chins hanging somewhere south of their knees...

And no - I never heard another word about it!
