Think About It.....

Do you have any opinions that you would be reluctant to express in front of a group of your peers?
If the answer is no, you might want to stop and think about that. If everything you believe is something you’re supposed to believe, could that possibly be a coincidence? Odds are it isn’t.
Odds are you just think whatever you’re told.

  1. I'm an angry old white dude and no longer care what anyone thinks of me. So I'll share an opinion. Those white guys should have picked their own Damn cotton.

  2. Thought provoking, but like MadJack I don't care if my peers like my opinions or not. The logic is flawed with the assumption that "everything you believe is something you're supposed to believe." I can guarantee you, in my case, that's not a valid premise.

  3. Well, if the primary doesn't apply, that doesn't make the logic flawed. That just means it doesn't apply.

I work at NASA, where every damn week we get memos from Charlie Bolden telling us what lies to believe and which politically-correct bullshit from the White House we're supposed to use as our Zen mantra for the day. Nobody questions it. Even the science is scripted and open-mindedness is forbidden. Questions may not literally get you fired, but they will get you shamed and marginalized. My particular views, if ever expressed, would get me escorted off center and sent straight to Gitmo, and I'm not kidding.
