The Award for 'Best Staged Media Theatrics' of the Week Goes to The Duo of Squinty & Meat Puppet

Joe Scarborough opened today's 'Morning with Squinty & Meat Puppet' by mentioning that rather than watching DJT's press conference yesterday, he listened to the Rolling Stones to calm his nerves.  Squinty Joe, known for his scripted rants he stays up nights writing, because we all know he's not sharp enough to 'Off the Cuff It', opened up on his tens of hundreds of viewers with a pretend meltdown which didn't fool me a bit, literally screaming and pounding the table as he railed against DJT and an unnamed "network" [obviously Fox News] regarding the coronavirus.

Dutifully playing her appointed part, Meat Puppet Mika almost acts concerned about her husband's mental health as they went to break, asking Scarborough "do you need to go listen to the Stones, or are you okay?"

This is media Faux outrage and play for attention at it's best. I present to you the winner of 'Best Staged Media Theatrics' of the Week":

Comedians Have Totally Ruined The Art of Political Humor

I recently read that The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, who some say is funny(?) had used his show to make a preachy, lengthy speech about the nature of national identity, arguing that he’s right to celebrate the French World Cup players as both French and African. Why anyone would really care is beyond me. Then I came across an article in The Atlantic that argued the present crop of comedians see themselves (and also seen by their mostly ill-informed millennial audience) as the new public intellectuals, fashioning themselves not just as joke-tellers, but as truth-tellers, as intellectual and moral guides through the cultural debates of the moment. Yeah, let that sink in. 

In the past,  philosophers and political theorists held a public role of guiding national debates and parsing the nuances of current affairs. Nowadays, narcissistic comedians have appointed themselves to increasingly taking on that responsibility, but not doing a very good job.

Comedy is no less powerful a weapon today than in earlier decades, but what has changed is the environment and audiences that comedians address. Just as politics has become more partisan, so too has culture more broadly jaded and resistant to any ideas of which they don't completely agree. Comedians today are predominantly on the left of the political spectrum and cater to an audience that shares the same views.  More and more comedians are losing the joke part altogether. Having become political comedians, they’re dropping the comedy, offering up instead propaganda, goofy skits and caustic sarcasm strained through a twisted filter of the news. They care not if what they say is based in truth, they're "comedians", it need not be true if they oppose their object of scorn.

Comedians are becoming, as their like minded comrades of the media, straightforward leftist commentators, live action versions of the more vile left wing websites, while nightly their ill-informed audiences lap up their half-truths and clap like trained seals when the Applause Sign lights up.

Reverse Funnels of Death!

I'm continually amazed at elitist media people, especially the ones who by the things they say reveal to us they rarely leave their high-rises and concrete jungles and can say the most ignorant things while explaining things to other ignorant people.

Thursday's shooting at a Maryland newspaper involved a 12-gauge shotgun. I'm sure this was very disappointing to ghoulish liberals who were probably hoping the victims were gunned down with an "AR-47" so as to help push their efforts to ban all semi-auto firearms. Shotguns are generally pump-action and liberals, who know only of them from movies where they are used to blow out entire walls or making cars explode, have yet to pounce on these weapons. But according to NBC News, shotguns are 'reverse funnels of death' that require no skill to use, so obviously they will have to go.

“A shotgun, uh, uh, you know, if you’re not familiar with a shotgun, it sets out a spray of pellets and because a bullet simply goes in a straight line and shotgun is sort of like a backwards funnel, it spreads it out so that you don’t have to aim very precisely....It can do a lot of damage to the people that you aim it at, but you don’t fire a lot of rounds with a shotgun, so I think that has something to do with it.....”

It should be noted that Pete Williams is NBC Supreme Court correspondent and not their resident gun expert, though you probably figured that out just from the tweet.  The narrative they are trying to push is that shotguns are so easy to use that people can just aim them in any direction and kill lots of people. This is of course pure BS, but it’s not like the news media has ever gotten anything right about guns.

As someone who owns and occasionally uses shotguns to murder clay pigeons, I can tell you that aiming them is important if you are interested in hitting a target. There are obviously different types of chokes you can use to create a wider spread, but you still have to be on target or it doesn’t matter. In the case of a common 12-gauge, just the sight of one would probably scare the hell out of your average northeastern latte drinking liberal newsroom population.

The point is, shotguns aren’t “idiot-proof” killing machines.  The media says gun-grabbers only want to get rid of  'Assault Weapons" because they are designed to kill as many people as fast as possible ....they look really scary, but they have no problem with shotguns. But now a shotgun was used in a mass shooting so those innocuous weapons are now reverse funnels of death.  But don’t worry, they don’t have a problem with revolvers. That is until one is used in a shooting and then revolvers will become “rotating cylinders of murder”.

Sarah Sanders Takes a Flamethrower to Celebrities, Dems and Fake News Peddlers.

The manufactured outrage of the  day is that the media and hollywood celebs took President Trump’s comments that the vicious MS-13 criminal gang were a bunch of “animals” and distorted them to push the big lie that the POTUS had referred to all illegal aliens as such. It was a total fabrication and a deliberate manipulation of the news despite the clear video to the contrary. But it's out there as fodder for the latenight TV monologues. 

And you just knew reporters were going to try and ambush Sanders in today's briefing. There's a reason why she is hated as much as she is by the left.  She stands her ground and is more than up to the task of humiliating lying swine like April Ryan and Jim Acosta and others in the WH press corps, which she does with ease and regularity. And in today's briefing she incinerated the whole lot by welcoming them to keep right on defending the murderous MS-13, who are not much better than the terrorists that the Democrats, the media and celebs took up for when they tried to attack Jerusalem during the opening of the new U.S. embassy.

It's Getting Harder and Harder to Tell If It's Faux Outrage or Just Common Stupidity.

Chelsea Clinton: Learning The Fine Art of Grifting From Her Expert Parental Units

Had Barack Obama farted out loud in public, some liberals would have proclaimed it the most brave and empowering thing an American political figure had ever done. If Donald Trump were to do the same, he'd be accused of increasing global warming, poisoning the air of minorities or endangering non-endangered species. So it's no surprise the left would take the opportunity to display their faux outrage at something that didn't seem to bother them at all when Chicago Jesus did the same thing.

And it comes is no surprise when Chelsea Clinton, who's being put forth as the new unblemished face of the Clinton Crime Family & Money Laundering Foundation, takes the cue and joins in the faux outrage act after a former Hillary Clinton Campaign Sewer Rat (the same one that once tweeted out during the debates for DJT to "go F**k yourself") tweets out this misleading information on the tweeter:

Despite what this Clinton stooge claims, nothing in the article actually says that Trump is housing illegal alien children in warehouses, just that they are being cared for on military bases. I'm guessing Jesse doesn't know about those things they use called barracks.

Surely y'all remember back when Obama was president and liberals were so outraged that he was housing illegal immigrant children in warehouses on military bases? Me neither. But actual facts matter very little to liberals, so cue the outrage and the retweets....

Come to think of it, I don’t remember Mother Jones, MSNBC or any media outlet attacking Obama with accusations of cruelty or putting illegal alien kids in warehouses either. Weird how that works, huh?
