Poll: Americans Say They Will Vote For Bloomberg If That Makes Him Stop Airing Ads

MIDDLE FINGER NEWS SERVICE:

MFNS - In a positive sign for the former New York mayor, a new Middle Finger News Service poll indicates that an increasing number of Americans would vote for Michael Bloomberg if that would make him stop airing campaign ads.

The poll found that sixteen percent of those surveyed were “somewhat likely” to vote for Bloomberg if that would convince him to stop airing ads, twenty-one percent were “very likely” to do so for that reason, and a whopping thirty-three percent “strongly agreed” with the statement “Seriously, I’ll do whatever he wants—please, just make them stop right now.”

By contrast, only eight percent said that they would vote for Bloomberg’s fellow-billionaire Tom Steyer if that would make Steyer stop airing his ads.

At Bloomberg campaign headquarters, in New York, the campaign’s chief strategist, Harland Dorrinson, told us that the poll numbers made it clear that “Mike’s ads are having exactly their desired effect.  If these many people are willing to vote for Mike to make him stop airing ads after he’s spent only two hundred million, imagine how many will vote to stop him after he spends another eight hundred million,” Dorrinson crowed.

In a new Bloomberg ad airing this week, the candidate addresses the viewer directly, stating, “Hi, I’m Mike Bloomberg. Do you want to see more of these ads? The choice is yours,” before the screen abruptly goes black.

Fun With Leftist and Pseudoscience

In my reading time yesterday I came across an interesting link to a story that took me to the notorious website, Raw Story, an ad platform masquerading as a information source, legendary for leftist tripe, misinformation and misinterpretation of the things of this world. The post, steeped in pseudoscience, was one that as you read, it immediately hits you as perfect example of Psychological Projection. With a simple changing of one overused crucial word, and a few others for effect, an interesting thing happens - Real truths appear.

See if you can guess what the critical word is changed. My changes are in Italics.

A Link Between Brain Damage and Leftist Fundamentalism Has Been Established by Scientist

A study published in the journal Neuropsychologia has shown that Leftist fundamentalism is, in part, the result of a functional impairment in a brain region known as the prefrontal cortex. The findings suggest that damage to particular areas of the prefrontal cortex indirectly promotes Leftist fundamentalism by diminishing cognitive flexibility and openness—a psychology term that describes a personality trait which involves dimensions like reality and open-mindedness.

Leftist beliefs can be thought of as socially transmitted mental representations that consist of unreal expectations and cults of personalities. Leftist beliefs differ from empirical beliefs, which are based on how the world appears to be and are updated as new evidence accumulates or when new theories with better predictive power emerge. On the other hand, Leftist beliefs are not usually updated in response to new evidence or explanations, and are therefore strongly associated with verbose self-inflected beclowning of it's adherents. They are fixed and rigid, which helps promote unpredictability and incoherence to the rules of civil society among individuals within the group.

Leftist groups generally oppose anything that questions or challenges their beliefs or way of life. For this reason, they are often aggressive towards anyone who does not share their specific set of  beliefs, and towards the truth, as these things are seen as existential threats to their entire worldview.

Since leftist beliefs play a massive role in driving and influencing human behavior throughout the world, it is important to understand the phenomenon of  leftist fundamentalism from a psychological and neurological perspective. To investigate the cognitive and neural systems involved in leftist fundamentalism, a team of researchers of Northwestern University conducted a study that utilized data from Social Justice War veterans that had been gathered previously. CT scans were analyzed comparing 119 SJW vets with brain trauma to 30 healthy citizens with no damage.

Based on previous research, the experimenters predicted that the prefrontal cortex would play a role in leftist fundamentalism, since this region is known to be associated with something called ‘cognitive flexibility’. This term refers to the brain’s ability to easily switch from thinking about one concept to another, and to think about multiple things simultaneously. Brain imaging research has shown that a major neural region associated with cognitive flexibility is the prefrontal cortex—specifically two areas known as the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC) and the ventromedial prefrontal cortex (vmPFC).   The vmPFC was of interest to the researchers because past studies have revealed its connection to fundamentalist-type beliefs.

According to Dr. Grafman and his team, since  leftist fundamentalism involves a strict adherence to a rigid set of beliefs, cognitive flexibility and open-mindedness present a challenge for fundamentalists. As such, they predicted that participants with lesions to either the vmPFC or the dlPFC would score low on measures of cognitive flexibility and trait openness and high on measures of Leftist fundamentalism. The results showed that, as expected, damage to the vmPFC and dlPFC was associated with Leftist fundamentalism. These findings are important because they suggest that impaired functioning in the prefrontal cortex—whether from brain trauma, a psychological disorder, a drug or alcohol addiction, or simply a particular genetic profile—can make an individual susceptible to Leftist fundamentalism. And perhaps in other cases, extreme leftist indoctrination harms the development or proper functioning of the prefrontal regions in a way that hinders cognitive flexibility and openness.

By investigating the cognitive and neural underpinnings of leftist fundamentalism, we can better understand how the phenomenon is represented in the connectivity of the brain, which could allow us to someday inoculate against rigid or radical belief systems through various kinds of mental and cognitive exercises.

The Godfather Goes All Humanitarian and Stuff ??

It's so easy sometime to see through liberal intentions. And when it's the entertainment elite with Millions in the bank asking for money for a cause, you can bet there is something in it for them, or they themselves are just donating their pocket money while pleading for you to give till it hurts. It's always about someone else's money.

After Hurricane Irma devastated the Caribbean island of Barbuda actor Robert De Niro, you know, the good liberal who wants to punch Donald Trump, quickly set up a meeting at the United Nations to plead for relief money for the Caribbean island.  During the meeting, De Niro hailed Barbuda as an “unspoiled beauty, a paradise found” but added, “we have a humanitarian crisis, an entire island destroyed.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter De Niro told the meeting:
“We must act together to help the most vulnerable. The recovery process will be a long, hard road. … Working together with all of you, Barbuda can rise to be stronger and be more resilient.......”
De Niro probably hoped that the public and the media would view his meeting as an example of his good liberal humanitarian activism, but otherwise not look too closely. After all, the people of Barbuda were hit hard by the storm, with 90 percent of the island’s building damaged by Irma. But unluckily for De Niro, the public quickly discovered his true interest in the Barbuda–and it’s far from altruistic.

As it turns out, Barbuda is home to the future Paradise Found Nobu Resort. The owner of the luxurious multi-million dollar getaway? Robert De Niro.

De Niro and his business partner James Packer bought the property in 2016 and have pumped millions into the former K Club, an exclusive destination known to be frequented by world elites like Princess Diana of Wales. The new, updated resort was still under renovation when the hurricane hit.

But even as he sat there pretending to care about the people of Barbuda, they don't seem don’t care much for him. When he first bought into the giant resort, the people of the island opposed his plans to gobble up hundreds of additional acres to be added to his luxury resort plans.  It appears that De Niro strong-armed the island’s government to bend to his will.

De Niro, who has a net worth of $200 million, now wants the nations of the world to write Barbuda a check for the repairs? The question is: how much of  of his concern is really for the people of the island , and how much is for the movie star’s resort?

Fake News Aficionado Newsman Dan Steps in Poop Again

Dan Rather, who is famous for quiting getting canned as the anchor of “CBS Evening News” in 2004 after airing and refusing to walk back his “fake news” about George W. Bush, has been caught up in a "Lyin' Brian Willams" type episode. This time it’s about his last published book, “Rather Outspoken: My Life in the News,” which features an image of Rather as a Marine. Rather apparently supplied the image to the publisher, which shows him in Marine dress blues and the famous white saucer cap, with the caption, “As a young Marine.”

Only he wasn’t. He washed out of boot camp while trying to become a Marine.

According to the wesite MilitaryCorruption.com:
"In his 2012 book, RATHER OUTSPOKEN, the then 81 year-old liberal icon and disgraced former CBS anchorman didn't say word one about the Corps in the text, but shockingly in the photos section, there was a headshot of a smiling, young Dan wearing Marine dress blues, including the famed white saucer cap. With the shocking pix came the cutline: "As a young Marine."
Rather has written several biographical books over the past 40 years, but this was the first time the Texan climbed out on a limb and portrayed himself in print as a onetime member of the Corps. It was a risky move, as Dan knows he didn't graduate from boot camp.  A  Marine Corps League official stated one must actually graduate from training to earn the coveted USMC emblem, the globe and anchor. Only then, can one be rightfully called a "Marine......"
Records obtain of Rather's brief time in the Corps by MilitaryCorruption indicated he never completed boot camp and was "medically discharged" on May 11, 1954.  But hey, as we have learned from Barky Obama's tomes, autobiographies need not be factual.

It was after his 2004 report on President George W. Bush that Rather quit CBS. He reported there were memos that showed Bush was given preferential treatment while serving in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam War.

The documents were quickly found to be badly made forgeries. CBS retracted the story and fired Mary Mapes, the story’s producer. Rather was subsequently fired pressured to retire from his prestigious broadcast position in 2005. The scandal has become known as “Memogate” and “Rathergate.”

It's kinda sad to see the washed-out 85 year old interviewed on the progtard propaganda network MSNBC attacking Donald Trump non-stop from the day he took office. But then again, famed Newsman Dan has made a career of attacking only Republicans.

Without Nikki Haley, Like Locusts, Unions Swarm On South Carolina

* Full Discloser - I am, and have been in the past because of the nature of the business being grandfathered in before our Right-to Work laws passed, a legally intimidated member of a labor union. I am also a business owner who has defeated union tactics before the state labor relations board. Unions have far surpassed their original purpose of fairly protecting employees, to becoming extremist in the protection of their power bases such the teacher's union, protecting under-performing and unqualified teachers at high cost to our education system. They have become for the most part a legal skimming operation that extorts money from members for political purposes and are the biggest donor to the democrat party. I am in no way criticizing union members, just the extortion racket they are forced to participate in.

With the departure of Governor Nikki Haley to become the ambassador to the United Nations, vocal advocacy for union-free growth has seemingly gone missing in the state capitol of South Carolina. The unions believe they smell blood in the water.
The Spectacle - "Recently, more than a dozen out-of-state organizers from the United Auto Workers checked into a hotel in Greenville. Their mission? To start making intrusive house calls at the homes of BMW’s union-free employees in nearby Spartanburg in attempt to unionize the German car maker.
Elsewhere in the state, Teamster organizers out of Washington, D.C. and elsewhere are targeting food-delivery drivers in an attempt to build up that union’s sagging membership. In Georgetown, the United Steelworkers are trying to unionize workers at a nursing home, according to a recent petition filed with the National Labor Relations Board.
All of these efforts in the Palmetto State come on the heels of the Machinist union’s overwhelming defeat at Boeing’s plant in North Charleston in February, when workers voted three to one to reject unionization. They also come at a time when the state is enjoying the lowest unemployment rate in years and companies like Volvo and Mercedes are bringing in thousands of jobs. In large part, South Carolina’s reputation for being a good place for employers to bring jobs to is due to its status as a Right-to-Work state, as well as having the lowest unionization rate in the country.
Both of these are things unions would like to change.
Ms. Haley’s successor, Henry McMaster, was elevated to the governorship when Haley became U.N. ambassador but he, so far, has remained rather silent when it comes to unions targeting the Palmetto State. Unlike his predecessor who actively campaigned on keeping unions out of South Carolina, during the Boeing union drive in February, McMaster remained rather subdued
Given that South Carolina has the lowest unionization rate in the nation–at 1.6 percent–union organizers may be relying on South Carolinians naïveté about unions in their efforts to unionize the Palmetto State. If so, that would be unfortunate.
South Carolina’s ability to attract companies like Boeing and BMW, as well as Mercedes, Michelin and Volvo, comes in large part because it is a business-friendly state that unions have not ruined…yet."
