Why the Democrats Have Gone Insane

Impeach! Impeach, they say! If only he were Buckingham, they would take off his head as well. Trump has become the Democrats' version of Richard III, if he wasn't already.

Why have the Democrats, to put it bluntly, gone berserk? Why are they risking a backlash of cosmic proportions (other than appeasing their psychotically-inflamed base, of course)? One, distraction. They live in absolute fear of the coming revelations about the Russia probe, from Inspector General Horowitz but even more from the DOJ's John Durham, who can actually put people in jail. The Dems know -- if they have a brain (and a few do) -- these revelations are likely to point up the line at the leaders of the Democratic Party all the way to President Obama. They were all involved to one degree or another with illegally spying on or undermining Trump and his administration and supporters before and after the election. The extent of this we are only beginning to understand. To put it mildly, not good.

Whether you call this treason is up to you, but you can be sure Middle America (i. e. those elusive independent voters) will not appreciate it. But there's something worse -- and Pelosi's knows it. The only hope for Democrats to defeat Trump is, remote and quixotic as it may be, impeachment. In the midst of the current brouhaha, Joe Biden -- their great (alas white male) hope -- is being exposed as not just a senile plagiarist, but a senile, corrupt plagiarist with a freaky family out of a Southern gothic novel with tentacles reaching into China and Ukraine. Again, not good. Unfortunately, the rest of the Dems have tacked so far to the left that they wouldn't be able to win an election in Shenyang. - Roger Simon

I Think We Might Be Building a Wall in the Wrong Place

I never went to summer camp. I grew up in the Old World, surrounded by the wonders of the past at hand to explore during summers. But I'm familiar with the concept. That's what threw me when I saw the article by Jeff Reynolds at PJMedia, "Summer Camp to Train Grade School Kids to Be Antifa Activists". In his words "There's so much wrong here it's hard to know where to start."

"I'm so old I can remember when disseminating communist propaganda in public schools was frowned upon. The first thing that struck me, before anything else, was the mask-clad, fist-raising elementary school kids in the illustration.
Teaching incoming 4th-8th-graders how to riot, become members of antifa, and join a communist revolution seems a bit much—even for Portland, Oregon.
Notice the star on the mask and the raised fist. Classic imagery from the USSR, China, and other violent Marxist revolutions in the 20th century. One might immediately think of the Brown Shirts, except that Nazis and antifa hate each other. Antifa formed in the 1930s to oppose the rise of the Nazi party and to try to bring a Marxist revolution to Germany. Rather, the imagery is eerily reminiscent of the Vladimir Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization, or Pioneer Youth. Lenin established this organization to replace the Boy Scouts, which he outlawed after the Bolshevik revolution....."
But According to the Budding Rose website:
Budding Roses is a volunteer-run collective of educators, students, and activists who provide free social justice summer camps and year-round workshops for Portland-area youth in 4th-8th grade.
So, what's wrong with fighting for social justice, you say?
"Budding Roses received funding from the 'Black Rose Anarchist Federation'. Notice that they use the same graphic as the summer camp"

"In any event, you can't tell me that we're not in a war for the soul of our culture. The Marxist revolutionaries are now reaching into our elementary schools to recruit ever younger comrades for the front lines.
On a side note, the DSA in Portland has announced that they will challenge Democrat legislators in next year's primary over an unwillingness to go far enough left for their tastes. Mind you, Portland Democrats tilt to the left of Trotsky, so this will shape up as a battle royale to rival the craziest stuff advocated by AOC and others." - READ MORE

Leftist "Moral Test" and Intimidation Tactics

A group of organizations have formed a coalition to pressure companies not to hire people who have worked for the Trump administration, including former secretary of DHS, Kirstjen Nielsen, who resigned from her post on Sunday. The group known as “Restore Public Trust”, who claim to be non-partisan, organized the coalition and released an open letter urging the blacklisting of 27 current and former Trump administration officials who were involved with President Trump's border security policies.

The letter,  sent to the chief executive officers of all Fortune 500 companies, states chillingly that the listed individuals "should not be allowed to seek refuge in your boardrooms or corner offices. Allowing them to step off of the revolving door and into your welcoming arms should be a non-starter.” In addition to Nielsen, the list includes former White House chief of staff John Kelly, Trump spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and former DOJ spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores. Conspicuously missing from the list are the Obama officials who carried out the same policies at the border.

The Restore Public Trust executive director Caroline Ciccone is a former director of the left-wing advocacy group Americans United for Change, and a former Obama administration staffer. In 2016, Americans United for Change National Field Director Scott Foval was caught on camera suggesting that the AUC paid mentally ill and homeless people to instigate violence at Trump campaign events. "We have mentally ill people that we pay to do sh*t -- make no mistake," Foval is heard saying in a Project Veritas video.

The blacklist letter, according to RPT spokesman Karl Frisch, was a warning shot to “corporate America, who need to think twice about what that will mean for their brand to be associating with somebody who is responsible for one of the most horrific policies this administration put forward and that speaks volumes. Do they want to be famous for this?”

I'd rather be "famous" for trying to instill order at the border under extreme and stressful circumstances than for paying mentally deranged people to start fights at political rallies. But maybe that's just me.
