Denial Ain't a River in....uh....You Know the Thing.

"For socialists and their fellow travelers everywhere, it's turning out to be a bummer of a summer. It's almost bad enough to make you feel sorry for Sen. Bernie Sanders.
 Almost.
Sanders, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and their anti-American ilk are stuck defending economic authoritarianism abroad while its victims are pleading for the United States to save them. To the millions of downtrodden in Cuba, Haiti and most of Latin America, the US remains the shining city on the hill, even as AOC and her Squad demonize the greatest country ever created.
It must break their tiny hearts to see Cuban protesters waving American flags and Haitian officials asking the White House for American troops to keep order. Don't those people know America is a racist, colonial power that feasts on the poor?"

Something Weird Going on in Crazyville

With all our our attention focused on the Drama / Pissfight of the Trump-Cruz nomination battle, few of us payed little attention to what has been going on over in the Capital of Crazyville, the Democrat party. With Hillary having a firm thigh lock on the nomination and the Bernie forces having begun to see the light, without much notice the granddaddy of leftist loony websites, firmly in loser Bernie Sander's corner, believe the establishment standard bearer of the Democrat Party isn't progressive enough and tainted goods are suggesting.........and I shit you not............Why not vote for Donald Trump?

But just not necessarily for the reasons you might think:
A liberal case for Donald Trump
"There are perhaps no three words more jarring to liberals than “President Donald Trump.” The GOP front-runner and presumptive nominee has undoubtedly made enemies with his nativist rhetoric and bellicose persona. That said, now that the race between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, with the former secretary of state essentially guaranteed the nomination, many liberals and progressives are preparing, once again, to vote for the lesser of two evils. The choice may not be as clear as some Democrats believe — especially if Democrats can take back the Senate and assure themselves of a check on a GOP House.
Once you’ve let that sink in, try this: There is a liberal case to be made for Donald Trump. The prospect of Trump defeating Clinton this November is not necessarily the apocalypse that some would lead you to believe. Here are some of the reasons why.
1.) He’ll Change the Conversation
Perhaps the best thing I can say about Trump is that he speaks his mind. This sometimes leads to some pretty outlandish things, but not always.  Trump has spent much of his time lately, railing against free trade and NAFTA, as well as the gross inequality in our system. Trump often talks about raising taxes on “hedge fund guys,” and he has acknowledged that the primary process is skewed in favor of the establishment.
Like Sanders, Trump is neither beholden to special interests, nor coordinating with a Super PAC. This alone sets him apart from the other candidates in the race — especially Hillary Clinton. The parties pick the candidates, and regardless of what their policies are, the people fall in line with them eventually. Power never truly changes hands.
Excusing the fact that Trump, himself, is a corporate interest, he would shake the current system to its core — which needs to happen....."
2.) That said, most of his policies are DOA
In all likelihood, Trump will not accomplish anything. He has made serious enemies in both parties and the media, whom he feels have slighted him, and I cannot see him working with those people. Trump holds grudges. He has filed more frivolous lawsuits than anyone in the public eye — or maybe we just hear about them more. Either way, politics do require compromise to one degree or another, and without it, nothing gets done. As such, when Trump finds himself up against institutional and bureaucratic resistance, it is unlikely he will deliver. For example, his wall — paid for by Mexico — is never going to happen. Ban all Muslims from entering the U.S.? Slim chance if any.
Even if he does work with Congress, he is still not going to get his social policies passed. The Senate with its filibuster and cloture rules is enough of a check on that, even if Democrats do not have a majority. Basically, we will not have immigration reform, but we will not have people rounded up in the streets and deported.
But most important of all: I do not need to trust Donald Trump in the same way I would have to trust Hillary Clinton were she elected. The reason for this is very simple: Trump represents the GOP brand, and Clinton claims the mantle of progressive. If Trump fails to accomplish anything in office, or if he manages to do whatever damage he can do, he will represent the Republicans. Moreover, rightly or wrongly, he represents America’s crypto-fascist element. The best way to discredit both of these groups is to let them fail on their own. Trump will not succeed as a president.
On the flip side, if Hillary Clinton screws up by compromising too much (which is likely) or doing too little (also likely), progressivism will take a big hit in the public eye, which is something we cannot afford....."
3.) The 2020 election looms
Now we arrive at the point where I start sounding old Jud Crandall from Stephen King’s “Pet Semetary.” [sic] Progressives and Democrats should be focusing on the election in 2020 because 1) it is a census year — meaning the makeup of the House of Representatives for the following decade will depend on down-ballot voting — and 2) there may be more openings on the Supreme Court...."
4.) I’m Not Afraid of Donald Trump
Some of you might be reading this and thinking to yourselves: “That’s all well and good, but Trump is dangerous.” I understand those feelings. Donald Trump’s messages on social policy have been mixed at best, and fascistic at worst. His approach to climate science is frightening considering the dire situation our planet is in. Trump is also the kind of man who would use the office of the president to aggrandize himself, and punish his detractors — well, attempt to do so, like in his many libel and slander suits. Over the last twenty years the powers of the president have expanded considerably as commander-in-chief, and that’s concerning, too. Additionally, there is the matter of the Supreme Court of United States.
We have no way of predicting who Trump would appoint, but we can speculate with Hillary Clinton. While she has said that her litmus test for nominees will be commitment to overturning Citizens United v. FEC, there is little reason to trust her given how much she benefits from the current campaign finance system...."

So there you have it. The anti-establishment Dem's calling to jump the curb and vote for the anti-establishment Republican. Believing they will make gains or recapture the senate in the next mid terms as the out of office party, hate Hillary as much as we do and believe Trump will be just a blow-hard failure and so damage the brand that a progressive will walk right into to the White House in in 2020 and save us all!

Things are gettin' crazier and crazier.

The Little Troll on Raising of The Minimum Wage

Who would you fire, Professor Reich?
As far as I can tell, Robert Reich has never held a job in the free market. He is an academic who occasionally works in the government. There is nothing wrong with that. His new book is “Saving Capitalism: For the Many, Not the Few.”
In a recent post online, "The Morality of a $15 Minimum," Reich tried to make the moral case for raising the minimum wage to $30,000 a year, which happen to be slightly above the median wage in America. Actually, using his logic, we should eliminate minimum wage.
After conceding that raising the minimum wage to $30,000 a year will cost people their jobs, Robert Reich wrote:
"Yet maybe some jobs are worth risking if a strong moral case can be made for a $15 minimum."
Really? Whose jobs should be lost? Who is so insignificant -- so unworthy in the eyes of this man -- so tiny that they do not deserve a job?
Because that is what he is saying.
He is a socialist -- oh, hell, a communist -- who reduces people to mere statistics, which makes it easy to say some jobs can be sacrificed for the greater "good."
And yes, liberal is progressive is socialist is communist. They believe in the state -- the government -- over God and man.

Bo Gets Raul an Invite to the Dance

In a symbolism-laden encounter, Barack Obama and his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro (the Fredo of the Cuban Revolution) will Friday night sit down to dinner together with 33 other regional leaders.

The opening of the Summit of the Americas in Panama will be the first time that presidents from the two countries have shared a table since Mr. Castro's older brother Fidel led the Cuban revolution in 1959.

Although there is currently no one-on-one meeting scheduled between the two men, they are expected to exchange greetings and possibly sit-down for an apology for America's ignorance toward Cuba  more detailed conversation on the sidelines of Saturday's main agenda of talks.

In more intelligent eras, the US had blocked the Socialist Dictatorship and it's biggest Dic Fidel from attending Summit, a gathering of Western Hemisphere heads of state held sporadically every few years for reasons no one really understands. Castro is expected to massively over eat at the lavish dinner for the leaders to make up for being shunned from participation for 50 years.

The intelligentsia at the State Department last month recommended that the White House should remove Cuba from the list of rogue states after a legal review, clearing the most serious obstacle to the normalization of relations.  Obama seems certain to approve the recommendation after it is assessed by his WH staff of geniuses.

Panama City prostitutes are said to have geared up in anticipation of arrival of the President's travel security and secret service detail.

Gallup: Both Parties Poll Below 40 percent Favorability

In a Gallup poll released Monday, 37 percent of Americans view the Republican Party favorably and 39 percent view the Democratic Party favorably.  This is because in many respects both parties are vestiges of the 20th Century and do not reflect the the will of even the real people who make up the respective parties, never mind the people who operate outside of the parties.

Disgruntled Republicans were the first to really break with their party. The Democrats, filled with folks who embrace a more union lockstep mentality have been slower to voice their displeasure, but even they are leaving the herd.  People are fed up. They are increasingly empowered thanks in large part to the Internet. This poll is just a blip in an ongoing American trend.
"Except for a brief spike to 51% for the Democrats after Obama was re-elected in 2012, both parties' ratings have registered below 50% since 2010. The descent to sub-40% ratings for both parties marks a new low in an already inauspicious trend...."
As far as the Democrats go, guess that Hopey Changey thing hadn't worked out so well.....

Jimmy Carter's Biggest Blunder

America's 2nd Worst Presidency Continues to Haunt Us

May people today are unaware the most difficult and brilliant feat of engineering in modern times, one which cost an estimated 32,000 plus lives and almost 100 years from conception to finish  is no longer in American Control.   One of the crowning achievements of the the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt , a strategic  tool in the defense of America and the western hemisphere and a vital weapon in the winning of World War 2 was signed over to new owner by that brilliant Statesman, the 39th president, Jimmy Carter.

On  October 1, 1979 Carter signed the Torrijos-Carter Treaty, which set in motion the process of handing over the Panama canal to Panamanian control  and providing for a twenty-year period during which Panama would have increasing responsibilities for Canal operations, culminating in complete U.S. withdrawal on 31 December 1999, during the presidency of  Bill Clinton.

The treaty was highly controversial, and its passage was difficult. The controversy was largely caused by contracts to manage two ports at either end of the canal, which were awarded by Panama to a Hong Kong-based conglomerate, Hutchison Whampoa, a  company that has close ties to the the Chinese military.

The Chinese have undertaken more massive construction on the canal and will have a strategic advantage over the west, no ship, commercial or military will be able to pass without being electronically scanned, photographed and spied upon as they move from ocean to ocean.

The rise of the Chinese navy and control of both ends of the canal will allow free movement of the their navy into the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean for the first time, as well as shutting off the world's easiest means of  commercial and military movement of water traffic in a minutes notice.

Obama's 7 Million

"All the 7 million number the White House will be touting for months to come really achieves is an end to the 'website is broken' storyline which began unexpectedly last fall. Opponents of the law, who had expected all the other disruptions that Obamacare spawned (the substance story of people losing their plans, losing access to their doctors, the broad disruption to employers and employees), were given an additional process story in the broken exchange and bungled launch and collapsing state exchanges. That latter storyline overwhelmed people in both parties – it was such a public faceplant that it made things seem even worse. But it was also a story that was destined to end eventually – indeed, it’s surprising it lasted for a full six months! – and it has largely ended due to all the exemptions, waivers, loopholes, and extensions the Obama Administration has slapped all over this launch process, like using bumper stickers to hold a jalopy together.
"This is why talk of the 7 million figure as salvation from supporters of the law is completely bonkers: all you did was meet your lowered policy expectations." — Benjamin Domenech,  Publisher of The Federalist

The Insanely Powerful Intellect of Paul Krugman

History deals with what we call "facts," but there are no historical laws from which these facts can be deduced, nor any strict inductive method for putting them together. It seems that imagination is required at both ends, both in identifying and in synthesizing the historical facts into "history." But we all know that imagination easily veers into fantasy, or hordes of tenured revisionists would be out of business.

No one can do this with history better than Marxists and other progressives. Paul Krugman, for example, has it all figured out. He has a powerful loco-deductive system that provides immediate answers to any historo-political question. In fact, Krugman's system is insanely powerful.

For example, why do conservatives believe what they believe? Because they -- we -- are racist. Political science is so easy, even a Nobel laureate can do it! Krugman begins with the principle of racism, from which "facts" on the ground are then deduced. Unlike a sane person, he does not begin with the facts, i.e., with any actual racist.

Krugman acknowledges that he is working from deduction in claiming that "race is the Rosetta Stone that makes sense of many otherwise incomprehensible aspects of U.S. politics." Or in other words, any time Krugman is confronted with an idea he doesn't understand, he submits it to his loco-deductive racial system, which promptly and dispassionately announces "Mystery solved." Like Chris Matthews, minus the shouting and spittle.

By the way, it is not Krugman who is being simplistic and reductionist. Rather, it is those of us with different ideas. His system assures him that people with different policy preferences only hold them because racism is "all they've really got." We are intellectually and spiritually impoverished, not Krugman.  History is complex and change is hard. Is it any wonder that progressives such as Krugman cling so bitterly to simplicity, stasis, and slander? That's pretty much all they've got.

Kind of like Obama, who constantly confuses "the ideas in his head with reality. It is not clear if he knows the difference." But at least he's in good company with fellow Nobelists such as Krugman, Carter, Arafat, and Gore.

America's Premier Useful Idiot to Intervene in Venezuela

James Earl Carter, until recently known to most as 'The Worst American President' as well as the 'Darling of Dictators' everywhere and their 'Most Valuable Useful Idiot', plans a trip to Venezuela to iron out the problems in the Socialist Paradise.  Carter, who wouldn't know a rigged election if it ran over him (see 2004 Chavez election) like Mighty Mouse will soon be on his way save the day as a people's uprising continues.

Carter with most excellent buddy, Socialist Dictator Hugo Chavez
"Carter, a mediator of past political conflict in the deeply polarized South American nation, made the offer in private letters he sent this week to President Nicolas Maduro and opposition leader Henrique Capriles.
The Carter Center has been a frequent observer of elections in Venezuela and mediated talks between the socialist government and opposition following a 2002 coup that briefly unseated then President Hugo Chavez.
Carter is accepted by the normally anti-American government — Maduro praised him at a news conference Friday. But some members of the opposition harshly criticized the Carter Center for validating a 2004 recall referendum that Chavez won amid complaints that the process leading up to the vote unfairly favored him."
Regardless of how long you live Jimmy, nothing will ever dig you out of that hole you dug from 1977-1981.

Rules Are Racist......

Expecting to win a full majority is almost as racist as Voter ID .
And if you disagree, you’re racist too.

Clyburn demonstrates the chances he will not play the race card
every time someone disagrees with the Democrats agenda
Bless his heart, U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn (Dumbass-SC) has the unfortunate affliction of speech. In a recent article in The State newspaper, the 73 year old, seven-term congressman claims there are “barriers” in South Carolina that prevent black candidates from winning statewide office:

"One of them, he said, is the state law that requires a candidate to win 50 percent plus one of the votes cast in a primary election. Often, that requirement forces black candidates into runoff elections that are harder to win, he said.
“That 50-percent-plus-one rule was put in in order to negate or minimize opportunity for African-Americans to win the primary,” he said. “It’s a very slick way to dilute the impact of the black vote.”
Clyburn said he wants S.C. law changed so a candidate only needs to get 40 percent of the vote when there are three or more candidates in a primary to win the nomination."
I would like an elaboration on Rep. Clyburn’s claim that “That 50-percent-plus-one rule was put in in order to negate or minimize opportunity for African-Americans to win the primary.” Since it applies to every candidate, the contention seems to be another Democrat yelling “RACIST!” for his own benefit.

The whine is particularly ironic coming from Jim Clyburn whose district was specifically gerrymandered – just prior to his first congressional election – for the purpose of creating a majority black electorate.

Prepare to Launch Led Balloon!!

"The New York Times tells us that Democrats have hit upon an exciting new strategy in the midterm elections: Talk about ObamaCare!
'Party leaders have decided on an aggressive new strategy to address the widespread unease with the health care law,' Ashley Parker reports, 'urging Democratic candidates to talk openly about the law’s problems while also offering their own prescriptions to fix them.'
The late Ed Koch was once asked if he would consent to have his picture taken with a tiger. 'The mayor is not a coward — and the mayor is also not a schmuck,' he said. If Democratic candidates adopt this 'aggressive new strategy,' they won’t just be posing with a tiger, they’ll be putting their heads in the tiger’s mouth.
They will demonstrate that they’re not cowards. But they sure will be schmucks." - John Podhoretz

Free Cheese in a Socialist Mousetrap

“There is always free cheese in a mousetrap.”
– Retired Marine Colonel Martino
CFP- Ileana Johnson Paugh

Public Citizen.org,  self-described as “advocates for a healthier and more equitable world,” sent a fundraising letter to Democrat voters, claiming that “millionaires who run the largest corporations on Earth want to slash the social insurance programs the rest of us rely on.” By slashing, they are referring to the logical proposal to increase eligibility age for Medicare, to correlate Medicare to income, and to modernize/privatize it.

Who are these “mega-corporations” that apparently want to destroy our healthcare? Public Citizen points out that CEOs of AT&T, Boeing, Dow Chemical, Exxon, Mobil, General Electric, JPMorgan, and Wal-Mart have no idea “what it’s like to worry if you can retire with dignity and security.”

So far, class division and envy rhetoric, blaming the “evil” rich for the world’s problems and social injustice, has worked for progressives because they appeal to the lowest information voters, people who watch “reality” television and take their news information from comedians on the alphabet soup channels, the media machine of the Democrat Party.

It is not the CEOs who have destroyed the middle class and the opportunity to succeed in America, it is the race baiters, politicians, and the community organizers who keep the low information voters misinformed and beholden to their supposed saviors, the very people who control them and benefit from their misfortunes.

Somebody needs to tell low information Democrats that medical care is not a human right, it is a service, provided by medical professionals who expect to be paid for their service, expertise, and the many years they’ve spent in medical school studying diligently for exams, writing papers, dissecting, doing 36-hour rotations at hospitals for free, paying high tuition fees, and buying high-priced specialty books. These medical professionals have loans to repay, families to feed, bills to pay, office overhead costs, malpractice insurance (due to the extremely litigious society that we live in), and employees who must be paid for their work as well.

Somebody should also tell uninformed Democrats that Medicare was not designed as a universal, single-payer health insurance system and that it is President Obama who is stripping Medicare of $719 billion over the next ten years in order to fund his unaffordable Affordable Care Act. Additionally, Americans have not asked for a single-payer, national socialized health care system but they got it, it is the law; even if ACA is defunded completely, all Americans must still pay the tax next year if they do not have proof of insurance.

Millions of illegal immigrants take advantage of our generous health care system and overuse emergency rooms as their private doctors and as their OBGYNs, forcing taxpayers to foot the bills for the delivery of anchor babies and the care of their mothers while Americans buy insurance for their families. Americans, who cannot afford premiums because they fall below the poverty line, receive medical treatment through Medicaid.

“The private, for-profit health insurance establishment” has been able to offer free medical care to all people who could not afford to pay but needed care. Nobody died unnecessarily because they were turned away as the Public Citizen fundraising letter implies.

Unfortunately, with the new ObamaCare, rationing will become the norm and people will be turned down for treatment based on their age and utility to society, they will become “units.” There is a 15-member death panel written into ObamaCare. We will find out soon enough when the unfortunately-named Affordable Care Act starts enrolling people on October 1, 2013.

Unions want ObamaCare repealed or defunded because their members wish to keep their current Cadillac health insurance plans and their doctors, as promised by the President. Congress, who wrote the bill, does not want ObamaCare for themselves and their staffers. They have strategized and manipulated behind closed doors until the President gave them a special status and a 75% subsidy towards the annual premium.

Giving potential donors misguided statistics on the status of our healthcare, Public Citizen’s President ends his message of gloom and doom with the chilling “onward.” “Onward” is an interesting variant to “forward,” euphemisms recognizable to me as socialist slogans.

The First Lady's New Initiative:

Using Hip-Hop to Fight Obesity
US NEWS - In June, first lady Michelle Obama appeared in a hip-hop music video that featured rapper Doug E. Fresh, singer-songwriter Jordin Sparks and TV medical personality Dr. Oz. The catchy song urged kids to "work hard/eat right" and "tell somebody/it's your body/c'mon." The song was just the first of a 19-track album, the majority of which are hip-hop, to be released by the Partnership for a Healthier America, the anti-obesity nonprofit that launched in conjunction with Michelle Obama's Let's Move! anti-obesity campaign, and a New York-based group called Hip Hop Public Health.
Let's Move! Executive Director and White House assistant chef Sam Kass says the White House is fully behind the initiative to use hip-hop – and other genres of music – as a tool to get kids to live healthier lives..."
"I think hip-hop in particular – so many kids love hip-hop. It's such a core part of our culture ...and particularly in the African-American community and the Latino community which is being disproportionately affected by those health issues......."

I know when I think of a healthy happy life, Hip- Hop culture always comes to mind.  Sex, guns, bitches, ho's, crotch grabbing, murder and retribution, and of course the racist underpinnings thereof make a perfect launching pad for a young healthy mind and body. Propagandize their mind, their ass will follow.

"I didn't think this woman could besmirch the office of the First Lady any more than she had already done. Once again, the Obama's degrade the appearance of the office to new lows."

Anti-Capitalist Millionaire Land Whale Sues Wife of 20 Years

We all know Michael Moore, multi millionaire propaganda documentary maker and author (I use that term lightly) who duped movie goers of America into giving up there hard earn money made through the very system he abhors, is a class AA douche bag and all around pathological liar in the communist vein seems now he's in no need the other half of his creative team, comrade wife.

Creepy Ass Behemoth Michael Moore and  Phyllis Diller Look alike Wife
Something tells me this is going to get nasty and we will hear all in a book in the near future. I don't usual root for lawyers, but in this case I hope they take a large chunk of MM's easy made fortune to settle all this.

ShowBizz 411
"This is sad and a bit of a shock: Documentary filmmaker Michael Moore has filed for divorce from wife Kathleen Glynn. The story appears in Michigan’s MLive. The Moores have been married since 1991 but have been together much longer than that. They are said to have a net worth of around $50 million. All of Moore’s hit movies– from Roger and Me to Sicko– have been made during the marriage. Glynn was a producer on several of the films and worked with Moore for at least 20 years. The couple otherwise has no children.
It’s never easy to report on a divorce when you know the couple have had a real life together. Both Moore and Glynn were born in Flint, Michigan where they reside. The couple hosts the Traverse City Film Festival, which begins this year on July 30th and certainly won’t be easy under these conditions. When I saw them last December at the Motion Picture Academy Governor’s Ball in Los Angeles, they were planning for the festival and everything seemed just fine.
According to MLive, Moore filed for divorce in June after signing the papers on May 7th. Glynn has not filed an answer yet. He’s already hired a powerful Michigan lawyer."

Raising Child Propagandist

"Teens Trained To Be (ObamaCare) Messengers To Family Members”
Save for the insertion of the term "ObamaCare", the title is an exact LAUSD quote. As is the caption on the image below.
“Teens are part of a ‘pilot’ program to test whether young people
can be trained as messengers…”
–Gayle Pollard-Terry, a LAUSD spokesman

Unpaid, underage state slave propagandists. Can we say indoctrination laced exploitation?
‘Yes we can’!

from Heartland.org:
The Los Angeles Unified School District will use a state grant to train teens to promote ObamaCare to family members. Covered California, the state’s health insurance exchange, announced grants of $37 million on May 14 to promote the nationally unpopular law.
LAUSD will receive $990,000. The district listed as a primary outcome for its project, “Teens trained to be messengers to family members.”
Covered California spokeswoman Sarah Soto-Taylor said staff have not questioned this goal.
“We have confidence that the model LA Unified brought to the table will be successful in reaching our target population, which includes family members of students,” she said.
LAUSD will also use tax-paid staff to promote ObamaCare through phone calls to students’ homes, in-class presentations, and meetings with employees eligible for ObamaCare’s taxpayer-covered healthcare, the grant award says.……
Teens are part of a ‘pilot’ program to test whether young people can be trained as messengers to deliver outreach and limited education to family and friends in and around their homes,” said Gayle Pollard-Terry, a LAUSD spokesman, in an email. “Teens will be educating adults that they already know (e.g., family or friends) and not other adults.”
During school hours kids are basically held hostage. Will parents have the option of opting out? If so will there be consequences? If the regime’s track record is any indication, count on it.

Barack Obama Quotes Great American Founding Father “JANE” Madison…

The Ulsterman Report - "There are those who continue to push the perception that Barack Obama is a very intelligent man. It appears though that even his ability to read is being proven less than capable – unless someone on his staff is messing with the teleprompter again. So now to add to the litany of errors like the “57″ states, “corpse” men, giving an award to someone he claimed was still alive who had actually been killed in action, as well as many-many others, we now add Barack Obama’s quoting JANE Madison during a foreign policy speech given just yesterday…"

O'bungles and the Keystone Cop

Jay Carney, David Axelrod, Barry Obama and, now, Eric Holder have all admitted that they do not know what is going on in their administration unless they read it in the newspaper.
And we’re expected to trust these goofballs with out national security?
From what they’re saying, if we were invaded, they wouldn’t find out until some staffer showed them the newspaper over their morning coffee.
Yeah. Smartest President ever my behind.

I Ask You My Democrat Friends.....How Does It Feel?

I too was once a Democrat. Educated and indoctrinated with your ideals and ways of thinking. I too believed to a certain extent, the ends justified the means.

Some of life's discoveries are exciting, joyful, and exhilarating, while others can be quite painful. Stumbling upon the fact that you do not necessarily have a competent grasp of reality, that you have in fact been duped, is not a pleasant experience. While it may be a living nightmare to realize that part of one’s life was, perhaps, wasted on the false ideas of others. Time wasted in an intellectual fog of propaganda.

So,my progressive friends, now I ask you.....How does it feel to see your so-called “anti-war” party become the most accommodating cheerleader of laser guided death and domination in the Middle East, with predator drones operating in the sovereign skies of multiple countries raining missiles upon civilians and “enemy combatants”, all at the behest of Barack Obama. How does it feel  to see the “party of civil liberties” expand on every Constitution crushing policy while levying some of the most draconian legislation ever witnessed in the history of this country. How does it feel  to see  Obama endorse enemy combatant status for American citizens, and the end of due process under the law through the NDAA. How does it feel to see him endorse secret assassination lists, and the federally drafted murder of U.S. civilians. How does it feel  to see him endorse executive orders which open the path to the declaration of a “national emergency” at any time for any reason allowing for the dissolution of most constitutional rights and the unleashing of martial law.

If I was still a Democrat today I would be sickly ashamed. Yet, I hear many average Democrats actually defend this behavior from their party. The same behavior they once railed against under George Bush.

The biggest difference between progressives and conservatives is that progressives consistently look to government to solve all the troubles of the world, when government is usually the CAUSE of all the troubles in the world. The most common Democratic argument is that in America the government “is what we make it”, and we can change it anytime we like through the election process. Maybe this was true at one time, but not anymore. Just look at Barack Obama. I would ask all those on the Left to take an honest look at the policies of Obama. Where is the end to domestic spy programs? Where is the end to incessant and dictatorial executive orders?

You cannot claim to be anti-war, anti-torture, anti-assassination, anti-surveillance, anti-corporate, anti-bank, anti-rendition, etc. while defending the policies of Obama at the same time. This is hypocrisy.

And now,  in the name of tragedy,  you feel the need to strike even deeper into the document that contains our rights (in your case also perceived rights) and protections against tyranny.

People of my political stripe want a system that respects justice and legitimate law instead of using the law and executive orders as a sword against the public. To wake up each day with solace in the knowledge that while life in many regards will always be a difficult thing, we still have the means to make it better for ourselves and for the next generation. To wake up knowing that those inner elements of the human heart which make us most unique and most endearing are no longer considered “aberrant”, and are no longer under threat.

So I ask.....how does it feel?

Constitution? We don’t need no stinkin’ Constitution!
"It's beginning to look a lot like a Christmas power grab. Get ready for a Chavista coup in Venezuela if Chavez does not recover by January 10.
Diosdado Cabello, president of the National Assembly said on Saturday that opponents of Hugo Chavez "should harbor no hope whatsoever" that Chavez's inability to be sworn in as president of the country on January 10 will cancel the results of the past election or trigger a new one within thirty days, as required by the Venezuelan constitution.
He also said that if Chavez fails to show up on January 10 there would be no interim solution, and that neither he himself nor Nicolas Maduro (Chavez's hand-picked successor) would assume the presidency. In other words: Cabello said that Chavez would continue being president, no matter what. Neither Illness nor the Venezuelan constitution will make any difference.
"You are wrong," he said to anyone who would expect the constitution to be followed in case of Chavez's absence. "This is not the way in which you will come into power." Poking fun at the opposition, he charged that they were all foolishly "worked up" ("alborotados") about January 10, and were "absolutely deluded" ("absolutamente pelados")......"
Of course, with John Kerry as U.S. Secretary of State we can look forward to an ever-closer cooperation with the Chavistas, with or without Chavez. Forget about any pressure from the U.S. to restore a real democracy in Venezuela......"
