Are We Strangers in Our Own Land?

BreitbartAs we near the 238th anniversary of U.S. independence, many Americans are wondering if we are indeed an independent nation with sovereign borders, given that tens of thousands of unaccompanied children are streaming across the southern border. Have we become strangers in our own land?

On Tuesday, two very disturbing stories concerning our border crisis surfaced in the news. These stories should put goose bumps on all Americans. Fox News’ Todd Starnes broke the news Tuesday that a private security force contracted by the government had threatened doctors working at a refugee camp to keep them from disclosing information about the rampant illness among the illegal immigrants. Starnes reported:
"There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a counselor told Starnes. “We were under orders not to say anything.”
The sources said workers were guarded by a security force  which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp. The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”
“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”
She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.

It’s high time for "We the People" to take back our government and our sovereignty from a small group of elites in Washington. It is these elites and their unconstitutional ideas that should feel foreign in this great land, not law-abiding Americans. What better way to celebrate Independence Day?

Question of What he Gave to the Retiring Congressman  as a Present
"At an event to celebrate the “pride” of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people at the White House on Monday, President Barack Obama credited a homosexual professor who “helped shaped” his thinking on the LGBT rights agenda.
“I want to just talk a little bit about Lawrence,” Obama said. “When I went in as a freshman — this is 1979 at Occidental College — and according to Lawrence, I guess there were maybe a couple of other gay professors, but they weren’t wildly open about it,” Obama said. “Lawrence was not shy.
“I just wanted to acknowledge him, because he helped shape how I think about so many of these issues, and those sort of quiet heroes that sometimes don’t get acknowledged,” Obama said of Lawrence Goldyn, one of his college professors at Occidental College.
“I took a class from him, and because he was one of the young professors, we became really good friends…"

Once Upon a Time in America

"Before the creation of the welfare state, immigrants who came to this country were for the most part attracted by America’s reputation as a land of freedom and opportunity. Laws and customs that then prevailed required immigrants to carve out their individual destinies by their own labor, perseverance, intelligence, and determination." What One Hispanic Member of Congress Wants Obama's Executive Orders on Amnesty To Do

Basically, It's 'Amnesty for Everyone!'

Usually, when we talk about something that happened on-air at MSNBC, we're talking about someone saying something insane - like that time Chris Matthews was whining about the Tea Party's connection to "Nazi stuff." Their hosts and guests are usually crackpots, so we have a lot of fun with it. Yesterday, however, they've given us something that's actually meaningful.
Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL, of course) appeared on MSNBC's Chris Hayes show, and he basically outlined what the left is hoping President Obama will do via his executive orders on amnesty.
(See Video Here)
There are three groups that they would like to see protected:
First up? The parents of Dream Act beneficiaries. There are currently over 500,000 illegals currently enjoying deferred deportation thanks to the dream act and Gutierrez would like to see that deferment extended to their parents. So, with two parents each, that's a little over 1,000,000 more illegals who would be allowed to stay in the U.S.
Next are the parents of any of the 5 million "undocumented" children currently in the United States. According to Gutierrez's numbers, this would mean somewhere in the neighborhood of another 10 million illegals.
Finally, Guitierrez would like to see anyone who would have been covered under the Senate's immigration reform bill receive amnesty - even though that bill never passed. Like most Democrats, Gutierrez is hoping Obama will simply set himself up as a dictator and enact the Senate's law even though doing so would violate virtually every founding principle (and constitutional law) upon which the U.S. government stands.
If you're doing some very simple math, Gutierrez has just outlined a plan that would grant amnesty to well over 11 million illegals. Considering that 12 million is the regularly cited total number of illegals currently in the United States, the liberal wish list basically includes ...everyone.

Aww...The Supremes Are Ruining 4th of July for the Progtards

"Maybe we could just extend Canada Day to Canada Week and skip celebrating the Fourth Of July entirely until there’s an actual reason to take pride in being a U.S. citizen. Maybe we could replace the Fourth with something a little more topical. We could make June 30th a national holiday. Happy Corporations Day! Celebrate by disenfranchising someone in the name of capitalist ideals under the guise of religious tolerance. Wave the White Christian Male flag, buy a bunch of shitty American factory-brewed beer, and drunkenly impregnate a bunch of those second-class subhuman citizens whom we relegate to the status of sex objects or baby incubators, as our version of god so clearly intended. I may be a bit angry."- apricotica
NOTE: I don't recommend the blogger above*, or for that matter any of the depressed, over-medicated, confused narcissistic hetro-phobic angry atheist crybaby leftist blogs on the sewer known as Tumblr. I happened to run across this comment while jumping over the ditch water and found it a fine microcosm of the stupidity and twisted psyche of uninformed Americans of all I've read since yesterdays court decision.

Benjamin Moore Paint Names are ‘Racially Insensitive’

Progressives Today

A former Benjamin Moore employee named Clinton Tucker is claiming the paint colors “clinton brown” and “tucker chocolate” are named after him and since he’s black, they’re racially insensitive.”
Obviously Named After Our First Black President
Bill Clinton
  NJ.com has the story:
"Tucker, who identifies himself as an African-American man in the lawsuit filed in Essex County court in Newark, said he was hired in June 2011 in the digital marketing department but quickly found himself being discriminated against, according to a write-up of the filing on CourthouseNews.com.
Tucker is seeking damages for discrimination, retaliation and a hostile work environment, according to the suit.
He claimed that when working on the online arm of Benjamin Moore’s campaign for their Williamsburg color collection, he learned of the new color “tucker chocolate,” which the suit called “extremely racially offensive.”
The Williamsburg collection also has colors named tucker orange and tucker gray.
Tucker then learned of the existing color “Clinton Brown,” which a co-worker pointed out to him as a joke.
“Despite [Tucker's] repeated complaints and protestations to BM management about these appallingly racial color names, no action was ever taken by Benjamin Moore to change the names of these colors,” according to the suit.
Tucker also claimed that he was demoted while white co-workers were given promotions, and that his request to take off work on Martin Luther King Jr. Day was ignored."
“Tucker orange” isn’t a target of his lawsuit.
