Tranquility of The World Community

White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Monday the Obama administration's foreign policies in a number of areas have enhanced the world's “tranquility”

Keep Calm and Concentrate on November

"If Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid continues his iron control, President Obama can nominate whatever kinds of federal judges he wants to, knowing that they will be confirmed by the Senate.
Since federal judges have lifetime tenure, this would in effect extend the Obama administration long past the point when Barack Obama leaves the White House. All he needs to do is pack the federal courts with judges who share his contempt for the Constitution and his zeal to impose a far-left agenda at all costs.
This year's elections — especially the Senate elections — can decide the fate of this country for a long time to come. That is why Republicans' launching of foredoomed symbolic actions like lawsuits and impeachment is such an irresponsible self-indulgence.
When the country is at a historic crossroads is not the time for futile gestures like this, which can create bigger disasters than we already have."- Thomas Sowell

What Does a Progressive Islamic Feminist Look Like?

Dr Farhat Hashmi heads the Al-Huda International organisation
for the Islamic education of women
Dr. Farhat Hashmi, who has PhD in Hadith Sciences from the University of Glasgow, founded and runs Al-Huda International, which operates Islamic education programs for young Muslim women in 200 cities around the world. Hashmi and her organization say they are progressive feminists who empower Muslim women by helping them to understand and interpret the Koran in order to use it to assert their rights under the Islamic faith. Dr. Hashmi  believes that women Muslims must cover their hair and upper bodies entirely – such as with a hijab or a burqa – because they must hide their beauty from men.

So, the rights assumed by her students can only work within the strict and traditionalist Koranic framework Hashmi advocates, which forbids many of the women's rights taken for granted across Western liberal democracies.

Okay, I'm not getting much of a warm progressive, feminist empowering feeling here.

Women are said gravitate towards her because they are either disillusioned with their life in the West, or they want their daughters to be protected from what they perceive to be the moral laxity of the West. According to a report in Canadian magazine Maclean's, Hashmi focuses on "young Westernized women from moneyed families who had hitherto preferred a pair of jeans to the hijab" and she "became famous converting them to a stricter form of Islam.

No word on how marrying off an 8 year old girl fits into her progressive feminist philosophy.

Hashmi is said to not propagate jihad to her students, though the reason is ostensibly because they are female and the time is not right. "I have even been called a kafir [unbeliever] because I do not propagate jihad," Hashmi said. "I teach women – are they going to go and fight? Anyway, there are many things that need to be done before thinking of jihad."

Well thank goodness Islamic progressive feminism wasn't evolved to the point of teaching young women to strap bombs on themselves and blow up buses.

Failure To Uphold Immigration Laws Violates Oath of Office

Dems Throwing Blacks Under the Bus for New Trophy Wife

Attorney A J Delgado wrote: "Democrats have built a brand as the party willing to stand up for black Americans, but the amnesty push shows what a false promise that was. The message to black voters is: 'Yes, your ancestors endured unimaginable hardships and helped build this country, and we said we'd help you out. But now we have a new trophy wife.' Meanwhile, the harm to African Americans is not limited to reduced wages, greater competition for jobs, and declining household incomes – now even the black history of suffering is being diluted. Liberal columnist and CNN pundit Sally Kohn penned a column last week arguing that the term 'illegal immigrant' is the same as the N-word."

Last I checked, blacks were originally forced to come to America. They did not receive a Mexican visitor card, food, water and medical care on their way to this country, as are Central American illegals. Black citizens have begun confronting illegal immigration advocate groups, frustrated and confused why they are being thrown under the bus in favor of this new "protected class."

Jesse Jackson said, "If we can find $4 billion for those children — and we should — we can find $2 billion for Chicago." Sorry Jesse, but the democrats already own Chicago. There are no more votes to buy, unless you count dead people. On second thought…they already do that.

See, what these black citizens haven't yet figured out is Obama, Pelosi, et al, know they already have the black vote. They've got you sewn up. I mean, where are they going to go? Vote Republican? Democrat politicians understand that Latinos will become the numero uno   minority class of voters and they mean to get them here any way they can, so they may begin the brainwashing that has been so successful with blacks.

Yes, black America – it's closing time and there's a younger, hotter version of you out there on the dance floor and the dems are laying on the charm, slick one liners and cash to buy her affections, and votes.

Political Fallout from the Border Crisis

"The national media may get tired of stories about young illegals crossing the border in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. But as these youngsters are sent to places as distant as Chicago and Lynn, Mass., other troublesome stories are likely to emerge, on local newscasts (which are often starved for news) if not on Obama-protective mainstream media. ...
Oldtimers may remember that the influx of Mariel refugees from Cuba hurt Jimmy Carter in the 1980 election. Carter failed to carry Florida, where many refugees were housed, and Arkansas, where many were sent to Fort Chaffee. Also defeated that year were some incumbent Democrats who hadn't seemed to be in great trouble: U.S. Sen. Richard Stone of Florida and a young governor of Arkansas named Bill Clinton. Most current voters were not alive in 1980 or have forgotten the political fallouts from the Mariel influx. I'm sure Bill Clinton hasn't. I suspect that, if asked, he might have some advice for Democrats in states to which the underage illegals are being sent." — Michael Barone, Washington Examiner
