The incredulous Bill Maher does more to debunk Bernie Sanders’ ludicrous plan than Republicans pundits have done.

Joe's Runnin'......or maybe the Opposite......

We were so young and innocent, back during bikini season, when sources of varying kinds....who even remembers now.....were tellin' us Joe might run for president. But then he didn’t. But then CNN said,  “Please, pretty please, Mr. Vice President, boost our ratings and come to our debate and we will walk your dog and fold your laundry, PLEASE?” But then he still didn’t run.  *sigh*

What Was She Doing With This Classified Iraq Info?

Commentary Magazine
The British press is all aflutter with reports that Prime Minister Tony Blair promised to back President George W. Bush in Iraq a year before the Iraq War began. The then-classified letter that was attached to a Hillary Clinton email is much ado about nothing. In it, Secretary of State Colin Powell states, “On Iraq, Blair will be with us should military operations be necessary. He is convinced on two points: the threat is real; and success against Saddam will yield more regional success.”
That the British press ignores the conditional phrase “should military operations be necessary” reflects poorly on the British press.
What is interesting, however, is why Clinton would have such a document attached to the email. Once a politician, always a politician: It seems Clinton and her top aides were much more interested in trying to dig for dirt on the Bush administration to prove the cheap political rhetoric and conspiracy that Clinton, Joseph Biden, and Barack Obama engaged while American troops were in harm’s way and after Clinton and Biden at least had voted to put them there.
Even more interesting, however, is that the lack of leakage of any such findings to back the conspiracies embraced by Obama, Clinton, and Biden show just how false they were: The war was not pre-ordained. Rather, it is prudent to plan just as hard for war as it is for diplomacy. If anything, Bush put the kibosh on any real post-war planning for much too long due to National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice’s fear that the “optics” of planning for occupation might undercut diplomacy and antagonize European states.
Many prominent Democrats also bought into the conspiracy that the Iranian government had actually offered a grand bargain in 2003 to resolve the nuclear issue, terrorism, and frozen relations with the United States. It was nonsense, and anyone having basic common sense and knowing the personalities of the Iranians involved or having witnessed the Iranian way of negotiation over the past several years would recognize.
If Bush or Vice President Dick Cheney had, in a fit of arrogance and pique, rejected the Iranian overture, classified material would have shown that. The silence from Obama, Clinton, and others show how cheap the promotion of such conspiracies was.

Two Go In - One Comes Out.....

The 6-0 Florida Gators  vs. The 5-0 LSU Tigers

The Gators Visit “the place where dreams go to die”

MIKE IS PLEASED!

LSU 35 - Florida Gators 28

The Florida Defendants Gators slither into Death Valley Saturday night to take on Mike and the Tigers, although minus their whiz-kid quarterback who got busted by the NCAA using performance enhancing drugs, and  DB Deiondre Porter, suspended after an arrest for allegedly firing a gun in direction of pregnant girlfriend. (gee, imagine that, Florida players in some kind of trouble??)  Their backup quarterback,  Treon Harris is an experienced QB, a former starter benched early this year for failing a team drug screening. ( gee, imagine that, a Florida player........). The Gators are out to avenge last years loss at home to LSU.

The Tigers will be without Leonard Fournette's primary blocker, J.D. Moore, but have home field advantage and the deafening sound of Tiger Stadium, as well as the cutest Cheerleaders in the SEC. The Gators come in with a much vaunted defense, leading the SEC in felony arrest and a definite edge of players with dreadlocks and fake hair extensions.

Florida Gator Head Cheerleaders

But all that really needs to be said is this:  SEC East Leader vs. SEC West Leader........both undefeated......a warm Saturday Night in Death Valley.  Two go In - One comes Out.

GEAUX TIGERS!

ELSE WHERE IN THE SEC:

Alabama @ A&M: The Tide travels to College Station to battle the Agriculture & Mechanical dudes from Texas. The Aggies will be out to avenge an embarrassing southern Ass-kickin' blow out last year at at the hands of the Tide, and are said to have a very good defense. I very rarely bet against a Nick Saban coached team, and this ain't gonna be the week. If The Tide gets their MoJo rollin' early, it's gonna be a bad day on the Texas plains.
I say BAMA by 10+

You may proceed with the obligatory Aggie Jokes in the comment section below, as long as the words 'nipple clamps' and 'car battery' are not both included in the same punchline.....

Ole Miss @ Memphis: Upset! To hell you say!
Yes. My girly intuition parts are tingling this week. Memphis is riding a 12 game winning streak and ready to bust one on a top 20 team....... and get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!. Ole Missy comes in a bit cocky from their blowout win last week and take it on the chin.
I say Memphis by 3

Jan's Picks: 12-2 on the year.....

Preying on the Uninformed for 50 Years and Counting

Is Obama Attempting to Openly Obstruct Justice

NYT - Federal agents were still cataloging the classified information from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email server last week when President Obama went on television and played down the matter.
Investigators have not reached any conclusions about whether the information on the server had been compromised or whether to recommend charges, according to the law enforcement officials. But to investigators, it sounded as if Mr. Obama had already decided the answers to their questions and cleared anyone involved of wrongdoing.
A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. But Ron Hosko, a former senior F.B.I. official who retired in 2014 and is now the president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, said it was inappropriate for the president to “suggest what side of the investigation he is on” when the F.B.I. is still investigating.
“Injecting politics into what is supposed to be a fact-finding inquiry leaves a foul taste in the F.B.I.’s mouth and makes them fear that no matter what they find, the Justice Department will take the president’s signal and not bring a case,” said Mr. Hosko, who maintains close contact with current agents.
Several current and former law enforcement officials, including those close to the investigation, expressed similar sentiments in separate interviews over several days. Most, however, did so only on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case.
Since the existence of Mrs. Clinton’s account was revealed in March, she has provided a series of different explanations about whether she sent or received classified information from the account.
