Obama's 'Slush Fund' for Liberal Groups

"Bank of America has been able to reduce a multi-billion dollar mortgage fraud penalty imposed by the Justice Department by giving millions of dollars to liberal groups approved by the Obama administration.
"The bank has wiped about $194 million off its record $16.6 billion 2014 mortgage settlement by donating to nonprofits and legal groups. Thanks to little-known provisions in the settlement, the bank only had to make $84 million in donations to do that. ...
"Among the groups receiving the money were Hispanic civil rights group the National Council of La Raza ($1.5 million), the National Urban League ($1.1 million) and the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ($750,000).
"Republicans have sharply criticized that part of the settlement as well as near-identical language in multi-billion settlements with Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, arguing that the administration has created a 'slush fund' for liberal groups. The settlement skirts federal law, which says that any revenue obtained by the government must go to the Treasury and cannot be redirected to third parties. The deals circumvented that by requiring the banks to make 'voluntary' donations before they officially entered into the settlement." — Sean Higgins, The Washington Examiner
There's that phrase "Republicans have sharply criticized" we've heard all these many years. Ya know the phrase that has put so much fear in the administration and stymied the progress of the Obama agenda.

Is Bullet Head Knee Deep in the IRS Scandal?

US Rep. Elijah 'Bullet Head' Cummings (D-MD)

Every wonder why Democrat blowtorch Elijah Cummings was appointed to the House Oversight Committee investigating Lois Lerner and the IRS scandal? Protection and mudding the waters for the Obama administration, and himself.......Before the 2012 election, there seemed to be a concerted effort by democrats to get the IRS and other agencies onto the backs of conservative groups, and looks more and more like Ol' Bullet Head himself was involved......

Red Statements
Cleta Mitchell, who is representing True the Vote, filed an ethics probe against Elijah Cummings on February 6th (2014) with the Office of Congressional Ethics . Last fall, True the Vote started receiving 8 and 9 page letters from Cummings, claiming he was conducting an investigation of their organization as part of the House Oversight Committee. One problem. The House Oversight Committee is only allowed to investigate government agencies. Going after a private citizen is illegal.
Mitchell wants to find out if Cummings is responsible in part or completely for the harassment of Catherine Engelbrecht, founder of True the Vote. After Cummings launched his “investigation” , Engelbrecht had her business audited twice, her personal taxes once, two visits from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, a surprise visit from OSHA, seven visits from the FBI.
Last week, emails were released to the committee that showed that Cummings was working with Lois Lerner, which is why he attempted to scuttle the investigation into the IRS, immediately as soon as it was announced.
Cleta Mitchell is turning up the heat with her public statements such as:

Some Homeland Security Employees Have Been Paid to Stay Home for Over a Year

WAPO - A year after auditors documented tens of thousands of federal workers on paid leave for at least a month and longer stretches that exceed a year, close to 100 Department of Homeland Security employees still are being paid not to work for more than a year.

The large number persists even after the Obama administration urged agencies in June to curtail their reliance on what is known as administrative leave, the government’s go-to strategy for dealing with employees facing allegations of misconduct.

Now Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa), who provided the numbers he received from DHS, is demanding answers from agency officials. In a letter to DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson Wednesday, he called the officials’ previous explanation for extended leave cases “too broad and vague to assess whether other actions might have been more appropriate.”

Grassley said the agency failed to explain how it was meeting federal guidelines to reserve paid leave for rare circumstances when an employee poses a physical threat in the workplace, or how sidelining employees for so long is consistent with numerous rulings by the comptroller general that federal workers should not be sidelined for long periods for any reason.

“DHS also failed to explain why such extended amounts of time were needed to conduct investigations into security issues, misconduct, or fitness for duty,” Grassley wrote.

DHS was one large agency cited by the Government Accountability Office in October 2014 in the first report on administrative leave. The audit, first made public by The Washington Post, found that 53,000 civilian employees were kept home for one to three months during the three fiscal years that ended in September 2013. About 4,000 of them were idled for three months to a year and several hundred for one to three years.

The tab for these workers exceeded $775 million in salary alone, auditors found. While employees stay home, they not only collect paychecks but also build their pensions, vacation and sick days and move up the federal pay scale.

How Did Your Senator Vote on Sanctuary Cities?

Daily Signal
Senate Democrats blocked legislation that would punish “sanctuary cities” in a 54-45 vote Monday.
The bill, called the Stop Sanctuary Policies and Protect Americans Act, needed to overcome a 60-vote threshold. It would withhold certain federal funding from states or cities that refuse to comply with requests from federal immigration officials to turn over immigrants who are in the country illegally.
The Vote:

Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) introduced the legislation, which includes a provision known as Kate’s Law, named after 32-year-old Kate Steinle, who was fatally shot in San Francisco on July 1. The bill would impose a mandatory minimum jail sentence of five years for illegal immigrants who are convicted of re-entering the United States after being convicted of an aggravated felony or have three strikes for trying to enter the country illegally.
“It’s maddening that the Democrats are encouraging sanctuary cities like New Orleans that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement and let dangerous criminal illegals free,” Vitter said in a statement after the bill failed. Vitter has been pushing to defund sanctuary cities since 2007, when he served as chairman of the Border Security Caucus.
(SNIP)

Just more proof the Democrat party cares nothing about co-operation for the betterment of the country, cares nothing about the rule of law, the Constitution or the freedom, safety and well being of law abiding legal American citizens.

When will America raise up?

Is Obama Attempting to Openly Obstruct Justice

NYT - Federal agents were still cataloging the classified information from Hillary Rodham Clinton’s personal email server last week when President Obama went on television and played down the matter.
Investigators have not reached any conclusions about whether the information on the server had been compromised or whether to recommend charges, according to the law enforcement officials. But to investigators, it sounded as if Mr. Obama had already decided the answers to their questions and cleared anyone involved of wrongdoing.
A spokesman for the F.B.I. declined to comment. But Ron Hosko, a former senior F.B.I. official who retired in 2014 and is now the president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, said it was inappropriate for the president to “suggest what side of the investigation he is on” when the F.B.I. is still investigating.
“Injecting politics into what is supposed to be a fact-finding inquiry leaves a foul taste in the F.B.I.’s mouth and makes them fear that no matter what they find, the Justice Department will take the president’s signal and not bring a case,” said Mr. Hosko, who maintains close contact with current agents.
Several current and former law enforcement officials, including those close to the investigation, expressed similar sentiments in separate interviews over several days. Most, however, did so only on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly about the case.
Since the existence of Mrs. Clinton’s account was revealed in March, she has provided a series of different explanations about whether she sent or received classified information from the account.

Whining Willie

When Bill Clinton first appeared on the national stage, he brought a nickname with him,"Slick Willie".  Twenty five years later, Slick Willie has disappeared. Bill Clinton isn’t slick anymore. Based on this article in the NYT's, 'Worked Up Willie' is probably a better fit for him.

In an interview today on CNN, Worked Up Willie does his best to take pressure off Hillary by saying:

“I have never seen so much expended on so little. She said she was sorry that her personal email caused all this confusion. And she’d like to give the election back to the American people. I think it will be all right. But it’s obvious what happened.”
The problem Bill has, that Hillary has really, is what they can’t say.

Hillary can’t say that she’s sorry for compromising the United States’ national security by exposing the United States’ sources and methods to hacking invasions by China and Russia. Hillary can’t really say that she’s done everything possible to keep United States’ satellite imagery out of Chinese and Russians’ hands.

Bill Clinton knows these things. That’s why he’s attempting to deflect attention away from those questions. He’s doing for Hillary what Hillary did for Bill during Monicagate. The problem is that she isn’t the skilled politician he was. People don’t trust her. They don’t like her, either. That’s because Hillary hit the trifecta of negativity. She isn’t likable. She isn’t trustworthy. She’s definitely a terrible politician. You can do much worse than that.

The Preferred Candidate of Millionaires Is…....

It has been a myth for decades now that the Republican Party is the party of the rich. For the most part, the middle class has been republican since Ronald Reagan made the country realize they were the salt of America, the backbone of the republic.

But with out-of-balance trade agreements and the largest transfer of American technology to foreign countries  during the Bill Clinton administration , thus setting up of the shipping jobs overseas, and democrats politicians turning a blind eye to the excesses of big banking (see housing bubble) the wealthy have made out like bandits.

"Hillary Clinton is the favorite U.S. presidential candidate among millionaire voters and would win a head-to-head contest with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, according to the third CNBC Millionaire Survey conducted in March.
She may be campaigning to earn the trust of the 99% by promising to steal from the rich and give to the well the bloated federal organizations that once claimed to serve the poor. But Hillary Clinton's most ardent fan base doesn't have a whole lot in common with the common man."

"The survey, which polls 750 Americans with a net worth of $1 million or more, found that 53 percent of millionaires would vote for the Democratic ex-Secretary of State, compared with 47 percent for the GOP presidential hopeful, in a hypothetical general-election match-up. Clinton had the support of 91 percent of Democratic millionaires, 13 percent of Republican millionaires and 57 percent of Independent millionaires." -   Read More
Barack Obama and the democrats have decimated the middle class and have done nothing but produce more dependence on government of the poor, creating the largest income imbalance since the robber barons of the early twenty century. Yet their phony new mantra for 2016 is now "the middle class economy".

So it's no surprise younger millionaires support Hillary Clinton. It's  massive incomes in Media, Hollywood, and corporate incomes like Apple have Wall Street and their wealthiest investors know on what side their bread is buttered on.

They look for a new boss, same as the old boss.....

Godfather or Tiny Dancer?

Is Rahm Emanuel in Trouble in Chicago Mayoral Race? You Bet.

by Robert Janicki

Rahm Emanuel, the current God Father of Democrat politics in Chicago, is in deep trouble.  So, just how do we know Emanual is in trouble in seeking another term as Mayor of Chicago?  First, we recently saw the results from the supposed nonpartisan mayoral election on February 24th, which requires a candidate get a majority of the vote in order to win the mayoral race.

No one had a majority.

By the way, Chicago hasn't had a Republican major since William Hale Thompson (May 14, 1869 – March 19, 1944) was Mayor of Chicago from 1915 to 1923 and again from 1927 to 1931.  Known as "Big Bill", Thompson was the last Republican to serve as Mayor of Chicago.

It would seem then, that an incumbent Democrat mayor wouldn't have much of a problem being re-elected.  However, it didn't happen in the mayoral election for Emanuel, who basically faced an Hispanic novice, Chuy Garcia, who, by comparison, really did not have a ground game or a substantial Democrat Party organization behind him, that were at the beckon call of Emanuel.

Now on to the latest and most substantial challenge to the God Father's reign as Mayor of Chicago, the shooting gallery central for America.  The Service Employees International Union has come out with a scathing video ad highlighting all the failures of Emanuel in his term as mayor.  Watch below.

Looking back to the mayoral election for a moment, Emanuel garnered just 45% of the vote, while Garcia managed about 35%.  Not bad for a politician relatively unknown in most of Chicago.  Since this election, Emanuel has actually failed to increase or even nudge his percentage upward in polling, while Garcia has managed to decidedly edge up more than marginally.  What Chicago has is a genuine race for the mayor's position not seen in my lifetime.

Traditionally in Illinois politics, the Mayor of Chicago has also been the kingmaker in state politics by virtually hand selecting and then anointing the Democrat candidate for Governor of the Land of Lincoln, who would then go on to win with the backing of every liberal Democrat in the state.  In retrospect, last year's Illinois gubernatorial race was the first serious clue that Emanuel might be in political trouble.  His hand picked candidate, the incumbent Democrat governor, lost convincingly in the general election to a self made millionaire Republican businessman unknown in Illinois politics.

Other cracks began to appear when the head of the Chicago Teachers Union heavily criticized Emanuel for closing dozens of schools in Chicago.  The CTU head, a black woman, made serious sounds that she might challenge Emanuel, however this scenario never materialized.  In stepped Chuy Garcia and people began to pay attention and that's where the God Father is today.  Emanuel has been politically weakened by his not unexpected pattern of rewarding his political cronies, which often crossed purposes and political paths with the voting base he desperately needs to win another term as Mayor of Chicago.  Stay tuned for one very interesting result come the mayoral runoff election on April 7th.

Having been born and raised in Crook County, Illinois, following politics there has been a hobby for me in adulthood.

Klein: Bill Clinton Thinks Leaked Email Story WH Inside Job

Who Would Know a Sleazy White House Action Better Than Bill Clinton?

It's no secret that the Clintons and the Obamas do not like each other and there is bad blood all around. Obama and his puppet master, Valerie Jarrett, have been reported to be actively recruiting Elizabeth Warren to run in 2016 because Hillary Clinton isn’t liberal enough . (Let that sink in)

Ed Klein , author of Blood Feud, says that Bill Clinton thinks Mrs. Clinton’s current troubles come directly from somewhere in the bowels of the the Obama White House. When the Clinton email story broke I have to admit that this was one of the first things I thought. Smear your enemy, it's the democrat way.

Remember, this email story really took off after The New York Times and MSNBC,  2 stalwart allies of this White House (well one is an ally, the other is basically a mouthpiece) covered it.  It didn't come from Fox or Breitbart.

If this story turns out to be true, it's just more proof what a scab the Obama Administration is on America, and how the high and mighty left continues to eat its own.....

Congress To Finally Investigate Eric Holder’s Bank Shakedown Settlements

ACC

Well, it’s about time.  Truly this administration has charted a bizarre path with regard to the big banks. One day Wall Street and the White House are buddies. The next day the banks are portrayed as villains. It’s been an odd tango of money, power, and domestic realpolitik.

Very Chicago.
From IBD
In an Aug. 27 editorial, “Holder Cut Left-Wing Groups In On $17 Bil BofA Deal,” we revealed that Holder’s record $17 billion deal to settle alleged mortgage abuse charges against Bank of America included potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in set-asides for “a national network of left-wing community organizers.”
Instead of going to so-called victims of the so-called fraud, Holder steered huge sums to affordable-housing activist groups approved by HUD, which is mired in a separate lobbying corruption scandal, including:
• La Raza, which pressures banks to qualify more low-income Latino immigrants for home loans.
• National Community Reinvestment Coalition, Washington’s most aggressive lobbyist for the disastrous Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
• Neighborhood Assistance Corp. of America, whose director calls himself a “bank terrorist.”
• Operation Hope, a South Central Los Angeles group pressuring banks to make “dignity mortgages” for deadbeats.
• Mutual Housing Association of New York, or MHANY, a spinoff of an Acorn housing unit.

By the Numbers: It's Voter Fraud on a Massive Scale

Patterico's Pontifications

"What you are about to read should be front-page news in every newspaper in the country tomorrow. You know it won't be — but I want you to treat it as that important... because it is. Jesse Richman and David Earnest write in the Washington Post:

"Could control of the Senate in 2014 be decided by illegal votes cast by non-citizens? Some argue that incidents of voting by non-citizens are so rare as to be inconsequential, with efforts to block fraud a screen for an agenda to prevent poor and minority voters from exercising the franchise, while others define such incidents as a threat to democracy itself. Both sides depend more heavily on anecdotes than data.
Our data comes from The Cooperative Congressional Election Study (CCES). Its large number of observations (32,800 in 2008 and 55,400 in 2010) provide sufficient samples of the non-immigrant sub-population, with 339 non-citizen respondents in 2008 and 489 in 2010. For the 2008 CCES, we also attempted to match respondents to voter files so that we could verify whether they actually voted.
How many non-citizens participate in U.S. elections? More than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 samples indicated that they were registered to vote. Furthermore, some of these non-citizens voted. Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010."
This is astonishing — but Richman and Earnest fail to convey just how astonishing it is . . . because they don’t explain just how many people they are talking about.

Allow me to remedy that......"

Déjà vu All Over Again

After four years of failed policy and the disaster that was the  Obama Administration, many people were shocked when Barack Obama won re-election in 2012. There were rumors of voter fraud in precincts where more people voted than actually existed.

Then there’s this:
"Admitting his confidence in Cook County ballot integrity is shaken, State Representative Candidate Jim Moynihan (R-56), was shocked when he tried to cast a vote for himself and the voting machine cast it for his opponent instead.
“While early voting at the Schaumburg Public Library today, I tried to cast a vote for myself and instead it cast the vote for my opponent,” said Moynihan. “You could imagine my surprise as the same thing happened with a number of races when I tried to vote for a Republican and the machine registered a vote for a Democrat.”
While using a touch screen voting machine in Schaumburg, Moynihan voted for several races on the ballot, only to find that whenever he voted for a Republican candidate, the machine registered the vote for a Democrat in the same race."

As We Prepare to Say So Long to Another Junior Varsity Affirmative Action Obama Administration Member....

The Most Corrupt Attorney General in American History

The 7 Most Ridiculous Things Eric Holder Has Said and Done

Attorney general has become a controversial title. The nation’s top cop, the attorney general is supposed to take the lead in enforcing federal law. But no attorney general appointed in modern times has become as much of a lightning rod as Eric Holder. Appointed at the beginning of President Obama’s first term, Holder was controversial right from the beginning, and finally he has announced that he’s stepping down. Let’s take an opportunity to remember some of his most truly outrageous moments.

Racial justice in New Haven:
When the New Haven Fire Department announced that it had openings for firefighters, an exam was administered for qualified applicants. A number of test-takers passed, but there was a problem: none of them were African Americans. On this basis, the city of New Haven declared the test results null and void. Outraged, eighteen of the men who passed the test sued the city, demanding that the results be honored.

Attorney General Eric Holder filed a brief in support of the city of New Haven (though also arguing that the case should be remanded to a district court). The Supreme Court ultimately disagreed and ruled in favor of the firefighters. African Americans face real discrimination, but Holder’s decision to intrude into this case was unnecessary and itself supported a discriminatory position.

Behaving like a child:
Congressman Louie Gohmert got the opportunity to cross-examine Holder in 2012 over the Boston Marathon bombings. Gohmert and Holder had a tense exchange that ended with Gohmert bungling his words and declaring, “The attorney general will not cast aspersions on my asparagus!” Fast-forward to 2013 and Gohmert and Holder were going at it again. Holder ended his side of the argument by sneering, “Good luck with your asparagus.”

Yes, the attorney general of the United States of America waited an entire year to come back to the House of Representatives and taunt a sitting congressman over a verbal flub. Our country is truly in the hands of five-year-olds.

Eric doesn’t know, Eric doesn’t know:
Speaking of congressional testimonies, Eric Holder was repeatedly summoned before various committees over the years, usually related to one of the many scandals that plagued his department. Holder usually responded by mimicking a mid-level manager who had just started his job earlier that week, scratching his head and saying he just didn’t know. After one his testimonies before the House Judiciary Committee, the Washington Free Beacon put together a montage of Holder in all his unknowing glory.

Only sitting Cabinet member held in contempt of Congress:
This one mostly speaks for itself. After months of Holder stonewalling over the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal, withholding key documents and staying tight-lipped during testimony, the House GOP had finally had enough. They voted to hold Holder in contempt of Congress, making him the only sitting Cabinet member in American history to achieve that distinct honor.

The effects of this can’t be understated. As a result of the contempt charge, at any point the House could have sent in the sergeant-at-arms to arrest Holder and hold him in prison. They also could have prosecuted him in order to force him to provide the outstanding documents.

Spying on and intimidating journalists:
A good Justice Department should seek to enforce the First Amendment. Not so Eric Holder’s. Thin-skinned and tyrannical, the attorneys under him aggressively seized an enormous number of phone records from the Associated Press regarding their publication of a story about al Qaeda in Yemen. When the scandal broke, Holder assured the House Judiciary Committee that he’d recused himself from the AP incident and had never been involved in the prosecution of a journalist.

Not long after that, it was revealed that Holder had, in fact, gone after a reporter: Fox News’s James Rosen, whose emails the DOJ seized. The agency also speculated, almost casually, that Rosen could have been prosecuted under the Espionage Act for reporting on North Korea—also known as “doing his job.”

“I’m proud to be an activist Attorney General”:
In an August interview with Juan Williams, Holder boldly proclaimed that he was proud to accept the label of “activist attorney general.” He also declared: “Any attorney general who is not an activist is not doing his or her job.”

Later, he defiantly added that critics who say his department includes an “activist civil rights division and this is an activist attorney general — I’d say I agree with you 1,000 percent and [I am] proud of it.”

Drone ‘em at home too — actually, never mind:
You may recall the controversial secret memos drawn up by Judge David Barron, which provided legal justification for the Yemen drone strike that killed American citizens without a trial. This underhanded justification, along with the appointment of CIA Director John Brennan and an alarming letter from Eric Holder, sparked Senator Rand Paul to speak for 13 hours in a filibuster.

“It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States,”
Holder wrote in the letter.

Holder would backtrack on that shortly after the filibuster and ruled out drone use on American soil.

I pray the integrity of the Department of Justice and the Enforcement of American Law becomes a major issue in the coming 2016 Presidential Election.

Calling Out Mary Landrieu

Saturday, a group of pro-life women, including Alveda King, niece of Martin Luther King Jr., and Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List, gathered to call out Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., for being out of touch with her constituents.
“Not only has Sen. Landrieu voted for taxpayer funding of abortion and against conscience rights, she refuses to support a common sense, compassionate limit on abortion after five months when the child can feel excruciating pain, Sen. Landrieu has failed to stand up for pro-life Louisiana values and must be defeated.”
As for the mid-term election: A judge on Friday threw out a lawsuit challenging Landrieu’s residency in the state.

Landrieu is shooting for her fourth term, and is set to become chairman of the Senate Energy Committee (a cheap attempt by Harry Reid to bolster her importance and influence for the eyes of voters in the state) but constituents don’t seem to be impressed: The latest Rasmussen poll shows Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La.has taken a three-point lead in the race, 44 percent to 41 percent.

But that still falls within the margin of error and doesn't cover the built-in voter fraud so wide spread in democrat strong-holds of the southern parishes.  Neither candidate seems poised to get to 50 percent, which is necessary to avoid a December runoff in Louisiana’s open primary system.

All said, with the Tea-Party candidate polling at 8-9% and refusing to drop out and swing his support to Cassidy, Landrieu is sure to make the runoff, and in all probability, again squeeze out a win.

Chalk Up Another One For Enlightened Socialist Thinking

Oil Rich Venezuela To Import Oil

Last week, a document from Venezuela’s state-run energy company PDVSA seen by Reuters News Service showed Venezuela was considering importing crude oil for the first time. “Yes, we are in talks,” Yousfi told Reuters when asked whether Algeria was planning to export crude oil to Venezuela. He declined to provide details.

Miami Herald:
"It turns out that Venezuela’s own production of light crudes has plummeted since the late President Hugo Chávez took office in 1999, and the country desperately needs light crudes to blend with its Orinoco Basin extra heavy crude oils, which without, extra heavy crude is too dense to be transported through pipelines to Venezuelan ports and exported abroad.
Venezuela’s oil production, which accounts for 95 percent of the country’s export earnings, should be used in world classrooms as a textbook case of what happens when a populist government starts distributing a country’s wealth in cash subsidies, without investing in maintenance and innovation. Much like happened with Cuba’s once flourishing sugar industry, Venezuela’s Chávez-inspired populism has destroyed the goose that laid the golden eggs.
In 1999, when Chávez took office, PDVSA had 51,000 employees and produced 63 barrels of crude a day per employee. Fifteen years later, PDVSA had 140,000 employees, and produced 20 barrels of crude a day per employee, according to an Aug. 14 report by the France Press news agency.
Venezuela’s net oil exports have plummeted from 3.1 million barrels a day in 1997 to 1.7 million barrels a day in 2013, according to U.S. Energy Information Administration estimates."
There was a popular riddle bandied about the Soviet Union back in communist days that went something like this: Question: if the Soviet Union conquered the Sahara, what would happen? Answer: nothing for 50 years, then a shortage of sand.

Dingy Harry's Alma Mater Strips His Name from Building

Southern Utah University, where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid went to school, is stripping his name from one of its buildings after the city where the college is located got $40,000 in pledges in five days from people who wanted his name to come down.

The Nevada Democrat’s name had been put on the Southern Utah University Outdoor Engagement Center (?) to honor the school’s famous alumnus, President Scott Wyatt told The Spectrum newspaper.
"The Harry Reid name created confusion about the purpose of the center because nobody associated Harry Reid with the outdoors, so they were having a hard time creating a clear brand.
While Cozzens is still somewhat concerned that the name may be actively used in the future, he said he is happy to see the Reid name go for now, arguing that he had been approached by friends from Nevada who said they would not support the university as long as the senator’s name was associated with it in any way......"

.....and I'll pitch in a $20 to help get his name stripped from the Senate Majority Leader's Office Door!  Anyone?

Sorry I'm a Failure...but Thanks for the Cash

Barack Obama told a group of Democratic 1%s that they’re “chronicling the slow deterioration of Barack Obama” at a Wednesday event in California.

The luncheon, sponsored by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, was hosted by real estate mogul George Marcus at his home in California’s Los Altos Hills. Tickets started at $10,000, with a VIP option available for just $32,400 — the maximum amount an individual can contribute to the DCCC in one year.
“I’ve got so many friends, so many people who have supported me for so long. As I look back, I realize how many of you have pictures of me with no gray hair."
“...politics doesn’t work in Washington because we have one party that has no agenda other than making government not work; whose primary function, primary purpose right now, if you distill their ideology, comes down to saying no to any efforts to help ordinary families get ahead.”

I find it much easier to get people to work with you when you're not calling them names and blaming them for you own short falls and incompetence. Barack Obama and his party have raised buffoonery to an art form. Every thing they touch turns to mold. Health care insurance, the economy, immigration, the IRS, foreign policy, etc.

It could not be because he is headlining the most inept corrupt administration to ever cross the Potomac.  Nope, he's a victim.
