The Silence of the Cowbells

LSU vs Mississippi St.
(6pm CT - ESPN)

There's an ol' Cajun sayin' on this side of the Mississippi River: "The Good Lord done put a wide river between Louisiana and Mississippi for a good reason."  Who knew She was a college football fan? Last year three different groups of rowdy Mississippi boys were invited to come across the river to play. They were told NOT to throw the ball around in the Tiger house. You don't do that. But being Mississippi boys they just had to tried it anyway. The Tiger promptly spanked all three and then ate em.

It again gets real Saturday night when it's the Tigers turn to travel across the river to Starkville Miss. to meet the MSU Bulldogs for the 111th time. Both 2-0, this will be the first real test of the teams this year.

The Tigers have pretty much owned the Dawgs and their cowbells, losing only 2 out of the last 25 contest, the last a close loss to Dak Presscott in 2014. Last year QB Nick Fitzgerald was benched in the 3rd Quarter after being brutalized by an overpowering Tiger defense he couldn't throw against

But this is another year and Fitz has a season of experience under his belt. He and the Dawgs looked strong last week against La. Tech.  But LSU is not La. Tech, who's defensive line is more the size of the MSU field goal kicker.  And the Tiger defense is younger, not as big, but said to be faster then last year, so containing Fitz and not let him run around and break free is the key to a Tiger win. And I'm sure Matt Canada has not shown his real offensive hand yet, and probable won't until it becomes necessary

While the Dawg's pin is but half the size of Tiger Stadium, it's still one of the toughest places for an SEC opponent to play because of the fan base, and especially their G** D*** cowbells! I think this could be a close game with good defensive play by both teams, and big plays will probable make the difference. Let's hope freshman mistakes that have plagued the Tigers first half play this year don't penalize the Tigers into a Loss.

Elsewhere in the SEC:

Florida (0-1) vs Tennessee (2-0)- 2:30PM CT - CBS
The Squirrel and his Gators host the Volunteers in Gainsville Saturday in the SEC rivalry game of the week.  After last years epic win over the Gators and Butch and the Boys with Big Mo on their side, if the squirrel hasn't found an offense and loses this week, this will blow the SEC East wide open. I said the Vols were gonna spoil some peoples season this year, and I think this week is gonna be just the beginning.....

I say Vols by 6

South Carolina (2-0) vs Kentucky (2-0) - 6:30PM CT- SECN
The Sports Monkeys say both these teams are on the rise (and lord knows the SEC east needs that) as both have recruited well recently. I picked the Kats to be the other major spoiler this season, and I'm really tempted to pick them for a W, but I don't think this is their week. The Gamecocks are favored and the Kats may give them a scare, but not strong enough to take them down.

I'm going with The Birds by 10

Shit! 0-3

I'm Sensing an Ol' Fashion Bayou Whoopin' Comin' Down.

Saturday Night in Baton Rouge the Lights will shine brightly for the first time this season in Tiger Stadium as LSU welcomes the Chattanooga Mocks to Death Valley. (6:30pm CT - SEC Net.)  The Mocks are ranked #14 in the latest FCS coaches poll despite losing their opener to Jacksonville state.

After last weeks game against BYU, who the Tigers held scoreless and didn't let advance past the 50 yd. line, the Mocks may be in for a good ol' Cajun slap down. The Tigers are showing confidence and I suspect that if the game were to get out of hand, we may see the future of Tiger football, Miles Brennan at QB in the second half.  The Tiger Defense, starting five freshmen and without three of their stellar veterans played lights out last week, and the new Matt Canada Offense looked good....at least between the 10 yd. lines. There is still much room for improvement before the Tigers start conference play next week and begin this years tough march through the south.

I say Tigers by 20+

This Week in the SEC:

My prediction of a clean sweep in SEC team openers went up in smoke thanks to a friggin' Texas A&M team who blew a 44-17 lead going into the 4th quarter. 44-17!!! How's that A&M DC job workin' out for ya John Chavis?

Florida vs Northern Colorado - Cancelled
Funny thing happened on the road to the SEC East Championship. The Squirrel and his Gators got run over by a big yellow bus driven by Jim Harbaugh.  Mercifully the Gators will be spared the wrath of the Northern Colorado Bears because of Irma, and it will be just another week the Gators offense won't get near a goal Line.

Alabama vs Fresno St. -  2:30pm CT - ESPN2
Fresno St. is flying high after crushing Incarnate Word 66-0 last week. Incarnate Word is not the Alabama Crimson Tide. Good luck boys, the ambulances will be on standby........

I say Tide by 35+

TCU vs Arkansas - 2:30pm CT - CBS
The Frogs and the Hogs go at it again. This could be a really good game. Their meeting last year was a shootout that went into overtime.  But The Hogs got them a dandy QB and said to have a stout Offensive line as they proved against Florida A&M last week. This years game is in Fayetteville, and a typical Big 12 defense shouldn't be to much trouble for the Hogs run game.

I say SOO-WEE  The Hogs by 10

Abuburn vs Clemson - 6pm CT - ESPN
Okay, I'm not drinking the Auburn kool-aid just yet. Like my own Tigers, the question is what can they do against a good SEC defense. The Baylor transfer wiz-kid showed last week he can air it out, but he made major mistakes that you can only get away with playing cupcakes. Coming from the Big 12 where it's not unusual for two teams to rack up 80+ points in a game, and defense is just that thing that surrounds the parking lot, I want to see what Mr. QB can do against a top tier ACC and SEC defense before we declare them Alabama's main contender.

Despite the 1st half play, Clemson takes them down convincingly in the 2nd half...

I say Clemson by 10+

Tennessee vs Indiana St. - 3pm CT - SEC Network
No ones looking in the Vols direction this year, but I have picked them as one of the major conference spoilers and possible backdoor contenders for the SEC East. We'll have to see what Butch Jones can bring about being on a hot seat this year. Teams tend to play up to it and I think the Vols may surprise some people.  This week shouldn't be a problem for them.

I say Vols by 14+

Alright Boys and Girls, It's On! Time To Play Some Football

This weekend officially kicksoff the 2017 college football season. The professional  sports monkeys on high have made their pronouncements; they have awarded the Heisman Trophy, crowned the Conference Champions, picked the 4 playoff teams and proclaimed the Bucknutts of Ohio will win the NC, and go on to lose to the Patriots in overtime in the Superbowl. And as more often then not, they will be wrong.  I'll reserve any further comments on that because I kinda-sorta promised an OSU grad friend I wouldn't make fun of their team here again this year, like OSU having a strength of schedule that doesn't even rank in the top 50 of major college teams. ;)  So here we go.......

The Battle of the Cats - BYU v LSU

But first things first: Harvey the Tiger Cub passed all his entrance exams, and on the first day of fall classes Harvey joined the freshman class and officially named Mike VII.

Harvey's predecessor came to campus in the fall of 2007 as a 2 year old and promptly rallied the Tigers to a National Championship that year. Harvey is but an 11 month old cub who is yet to grow into his paws, so we are giving him a year before we expect any such magic from his presence. ;)

And one more first things first: because of important project deadlines due during this years football season, my SEC Sister and fellow blogger, Curmudgeon of Political Clown Parade has kindly offered to work her magic and do some of her excellent Game Day Graphics for these post to save me time. If you are a new reader of this blog, I encourage you go by and check out Curmudgeon's rousing Alabama game day post as well, as we both run headlong towards our annual, much anticipated friendly trash talk week in November when the Tigers and the Crimson Tide face-off in Tuscaloosa on 11/4.

Brigham Young vs Louisiana State- Sat. 8:30pm CT (ESPN)

The Tigers kickoff 2017 Saturday Night against the 1-0 BYU Cougars at the New Orleans Superdome. This will be the first ever meeting of the two teams. The Cougs finished last year 9-4 and handily defeated Portland State in their opener last week. BYU has a QB who can sling it, and should be a good test of the Tiger D backfield. They have a lot of returning starters on defense and are not to be taken lightly, as they have a very good history against SEC teams.

As for the 2017 Tigers? I'm like most; cautiously optimistic but encouraged from what I've heard from friends in the Baton Rouge media, and gleeful there is no hype around the Tigers this year. It's fell elsewhere in the SEC. The 2016 Tigers finished the year AP ranked a respectable #13, ahead of 12 other teams with better records, and start 2017 at the same position.

With the addition of Matt Canada as the Tiger Offensive coordinator the Tigers will have a much different look. Canada likes to play a spread offense, with lots of motion, shifts and misdirection.  Gone are the days of 3 yds and a cloud of dust. Expect the Tigers to still be primarily a running team, with a potential Heisman candidate in the backfield it's to be expected. The concern seems to be the depth of offensive line. Injures could be a major setback for the Tigers late in the year.  Expect Dave Aranda's Defense to be, maybe not top 5 as they proved to be last year, but stout and continue as they did last year to improve game by game.

The biggest question is can the Tigers endure their meat grinder of a schedule of late Oct. and November? We will see. I say there is an even chance Auburn and LSU could meet at Tiger Stadium on Oct 4th both undefeated, with both yet to face Alabama.

That said, I see spoilers, spoilers everywhere.

Blessfully, gone are the Les Miles years,
and it is now Officially The Coach O' Show.

New Years Bowl Weekend- Yeah Boy!

Saturday morning kicks off a day of football sure to have a game for everyone who enjoys college football. The newly crowned Heisman winner takes to the field, and the National Championship Game participants will to be decided are just two of the examples of what is in-store for this weekend.

The Citrus Bowl - Orlando Fla.
(CBS 10 am)
Louisville vs. LSU

Saturday at 10 am kicks off new years weekend with the Citrus Bowl: The ACC Louisville Cardinals and the LSU Tigers of the SEC.  This will be the 6th time in 10 seasons the Tigers have faced a Heisman winner, but this years Citrus bowl has eerie similarities to a another bowl game..

This year the trophy is not as valuable, but the same swagger is evident. The newly crown Heisman King, a very dangerous Lamar Jackson, and the Cards started the year out as a steamroller, only to lose their last two games to end the year. The cardinals have averaged 461 yds. a game this year.  The Tigers stingy defense, who will be out to prove their steel, will have their hands full for sure.

In the Cards favor is naturally the most explosive player in college football right now. In the Tigers' favor is the #5 ranked overall Defense in the nation , and the fact Louisville has given up 13 turnover in the last three games. I expect big plays from both sides, but if the Tigers can keep Jackson from running to the outside and contain him to the middle, they have a better then good chance of winning.  My only worry is the Tiger defense will again be without LB Kendall Beckwith in the middle. His absence was glaringly apparent in the last game of the season at A&M.  Up until that point the Tigers had led the nation in fewest TD's allowed.

The sports monkeys are calling it a toss-up....... GEAUX TIGERS!

The Peach Bowl - Atlanta Georgia
( ESPN - 2 pm)
Alabama vs. Washington

As they say; Be careful what ya wish for! Not long ago Washington Huskies fans, high from their Pac 12 Championship game win held up signs for the national audience to see proclaiming 'WE WANT BAMA'.  And just like a ol' dog chasing a car, once you catch it, ya gotta deal with it.

So, now what ya gonna do?

Not to take anything away from the Huskies excellent QB Jake Browning, who we will most likely see slinging balls on Sunday one day, but guys, you do realize Alabama hasn't lost a game since Oct 2015?!  Boys, boys......

But keep you chins up Huskies, I fear you're about to receive the same treatment all good teams get from the Crimson Tide. They will play football with you for 20 minutes or so, then punch you right in the face just to remind you who you're dealing with. Then at halftime make their adjustments, then come out and wear your ass out!

You see, this may not be the most explosive or flashiest Crimson Tide team Nick Saban has fielded. But as has come to many peoples realization is, this may be the best team he has every put on a field! And like a train barreling toward it's appointed destination, and unfortunately as many who came before you, are standing on the tracks. But you can take solace that you were part of football history, and beaten by the best.

And after January 9th we will no longer be asking that question: "Is Nick Saban the Best to ever coach College football?"

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

The Feista Bowl - Glendale AZ.
(6pm - ESPN)
Ohio St vs. Clemson

I'm sorry, I have never believed Ohio St was a #2 team or as good as the big10 Ra-Ra sports monkeys said they are. Look at their schedule.  They are a young team to be reckoned with.

At the same time, I think Clemson has been inconsistent, but underestimated. That's what makes this a hard game to perceive. All in all, I have to go with a proven Deshaun Watson's play making to pick them a winner.  It will set up a rematch for the NC.

The Tiger in the Hog Pin

Last week the big uglies from Alabama came to the Tiger house and managed to pull out Nick Saban's 200th career win, but got his ego bruised in the process.  Now the Tigers have to back it up as they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

From 1913 to 1936 and again from 1953-56 and sporadically thereafter, the annual Arkansas / LSU game was played here at fairgrounds Stadium (now Independence Stadium and home of the Independence Bowl) as part of the draw for the Louisiana State Fair. In 1992 Arkansas join the SEC and the games reverted to home fields

Saturday the Hogs will be flying high after they ran through the vaunted Florida Roosters defense last week, exposing them for the fraud they are.

But this game in the Hog Pin is one I circle on the schedule every year because regardless of standing and the win column, you never know which Hog team will show up. The Piglets or Angry Papa Boar.

And I don't have to remind anyone that the last couple of years this is where the Tigers took their belly-flop after the loss to the Crimson Tide. This year I don't think that will happen. The Tigers have easily shut down better passers then Austin Allen in past weeks, and I see no reason they won't him too.

And Their Eyes Shall Gaze Upon Death Valley

I heard a statement uttered recently by the only sports analyst I ever pay much attention to, former LSU Tiger and All-Pro Dallas Cowboy Defense End,  Marcus Spears, who said: "You don't know how good of a Football Team you are till you play Alabama". This is a statement that pretty much could be applied to most of the last 50 years of college football. And now it's coach Ed Orgeron's time to take the test.

Saturday night The Defending National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide come to Baton Rouge to battle the resurgent LSU Tigers in what has in the last decades taken on the trappings of a rivalry that is quickly coming to overshadow almost all others in college football, and almost always has SEC championship implication. In 6 of the last 13 years the winner of this contest has gone on to become NCAA Football National Champion. The two teams hold the rare distinction as the only conference divisions foes (SEC WEST) to ever play each other for a National Championship (Jan. 2012).

The Tide has won the last 2 contest in Tiger stadium, and 4 straight regular season meetings. With few exceptions, these are traditionally close, hard fought defensive battles.

This year the Tide comes in undisputed #1 in the nation riding a 20 game win streak, with an amazing true freshman QB at the helm and the highest scoring defense in the country, who will kill you with your mistakes.

The Tigers take the field in the midst of a new era, a renewed spirit and a resurgent offensive, and a defense that has in the last 3 weeks shutdown 3 of the top passing attacks in the college football, and has given up the fewest TD's in the nation (8).  Both team's run game is their bread and butter, and both defenses total have only allowed 6 runs of 20+ yards this season.

But unlike last year, this will not be a game played in a phone booth. Both teams  possess  big play ability and elite defenses.  I think it may come down to who makes the fewest mistakes, and on QB play.  And I'm sure Nick Saban, who understands very well by once possessing the advantage of the hostile environment of Tiger Stadium in his years as coach of LSU, has schooled his freshman Quarterback well. If not, he won't be the first young QB to be rattled by his baptism in Death Valley.

Can the 2016 Tigers hang with the Crimson Tide for 60 minutes? I have faith they can.  And let's not forget that old saying, "When the mighty fall, they fall mightily."

And as has become our tradition of a friendly wager on the game, I and my Fellow Blogger, Friend and SEC Sister Curmudgeon, the most devoted Crimson Tide Fan I've ever Known, will donate our wager to the worthy cause of the Shriners Hospitals for Children this year.

For almost 100 years, the Shriner's Children's Hospitials have helped more than 1.3 million children with severe burns and birth defects, receive life-changing care, regardless of a family's ability to pay.

We both encourage you to join us, and give a Christmas Gift of a donation to this life changing worthy cause.

There's a Reason The Good Lord Put a Wide River Between Mississippi and Louisiana

Last week a Tiger had a group of boys from Mississippi come over to his house. The Tiger even let them play with his ball. But the boys from Mississippi got rowdy and started throwing the ball around in the Tiger's house and then punched him in the nose!  Now the Tiger didn't get mad, he just played with his food for awhile. After a little rest, the Tiger came out and ran 7 plays, and scored 4 touchdowns.......then ate them.

This week another group of Mississippi boys come over to play in the Tiger's House. This group has a bad reputation (they call themselves Rebels *snork*) and are known for their bad habit of throwing balls in peoples houses.

Now there is two things the Tiger doesn't like, besides Florida Roosters. One is people throwing the ball around in his house (the tiger has shutdown the 8th and 13th best passing offense in college football) and the second thing the Tiger dislikes is people hanging around his goal line and messing up the pretty purple and gold paint in the end zone (the Tiger has give up the fewest TDs in the nation through week 7). So those rowdy Rebel boys should take heed of what happened to the last two groups of Mississippi boys who came across the river to play in the Tiger house ........ else they might get eaten too.

Ole Miss comes into Tiger Stadium for the 105th meeting of the rivals with the #1 passing offense in the SEC and a defense last against the run, giving up 450 yds per game. No one has successfully thrown long on the Tigers yet this year, and they have the Big Mo and #7 and #5. in the backfield.  Advantage LSU.

I say Tigers by 10

#1 Alabama v #6 Texas A&M
For all intents and proposes this IS the SEC Championship game.
This one is going to be brutal. But The Tide play a solid, basic, well executed mistake free game that can beat you ever time.  A&M may keep it close, but the tide forces mistakes....and makes you pay. ( highest scoring defense in the nation) But all is not lost for the loser of this game. A one loss SEC team would possibly be a better playoff team then a two loss ACC or Big 12 Champion.
I say The Tide by 12+

Arkansas v Auburn
The hogs have been my upset favorites this season (2 for 2) and for some reason the sports monkey are heavily favoring the Auburn Tigers in this match. Wrong again monkeys.  Auburn hasn't beat anybody worthy yet, and won't this week either.
I say Hogs by 7
Okay, I was wrong. Auburn is for real....

Non prediction prediction: Unranked Penn St. will embarrass #2 Ohio St. again on national TV for the second week in a row by making the Bucknutts sweat and playing them close.   #3 Michigan continues their tough schedule of sub .500 powerhouses cupcakes.

After going 3-1 last week, Diogenes is 14-4 for the season.....

Eagles vs.Tigers

This Saturday LSU welcomes the 4-2 Southern Miss Eagles to Tiger Stadium. This is the first meeting of the teams since the 1990's. The Eagles play a hurry-up, highly productive offense who are getting a lot of attention by the sports monkey media because of Quarterback Nick Mullens, who has thrown for  1874 yds already this season and has managed to brake all the Southern Miss team records of some guy named Brett Favre. It will be interesting to see if the Eagles learned anything of the Tiger defense from the films of the Mizzou - LSU game two weeks ago, which didn't exactly work out to well for Mizzou.

After last weeks cancellation of the Florida Roosters and LSU game, the always colorful coach Oeaux said on his weekly Tiger Talk radio show Wednesday that "the Tigers are fired up, hungry, pissed-off and ready to hit something." Nothing would make the LSU faithful happier then for coach Oeaux to get his second 'W' and give Mike VI a memorable send-off with one last big home victory.

I say Tigers by 20+

This week, the SEC goes headlong into the meat of their conference play:

#1 Alabama v Tennessee:
The Cinderella of the SEC, the Tennessee Volunteers met their SEC West ugly step-sister Texas A&M last week and managed to give them all they could handle. This week they meet their other ugly step sister, The Crimson Tide. The Vols have been an explosive second half team, but Alabama is the best team in the nation at making half-time adjustments. They won't be able to run on the Tide, so it's to the air they will go. If the vols don't quit given up turnovers and the Tide doesn't let them hang 400 yds. on them through the air like the last two weeks, it could be a long and ugly evening for Cinderella.
I Say Tide By 10+

Ole Miss v Arkansas:
The Rebels are said to be the best 2 loss team in the nation, and do have one of the best QB in college football. After the thumping by Alabama last week, the hogs will come out and play tough, and if they can run on Ole Miss they may make it a game. This is going to be a high scoring affair.
I say upset, Hogs by 6

Missouri v Florida Roosters:
The Chickens come out from hiding under the SEC commissioner's dress to take on the Mizzou Tigers in the swamp this week. I'm not convinced Florida is as good as they're being portrayed. After the total smothering of the Mizzuo offense two weeks ago, I think Mizzou makes adjustments and finds a way to throw on them. And the roosters deserve to lose, they wear Orange and Blue together!
The Tigers embarrass the roosters at home.

But there will be help waiting.
I say Missouri by 3

After calling correct both games last week, Diogenes is 11-3 on the year.

Coach Oeaux vs The Swamp Chickens

Florida Roosters (Swampus-gallinaceous defensi)

What I'm about to say may seem to some insensitive, but is what the sports media can not say for Political Correct reasons. And yes, I have experienced hurricanes; Katrina, Rita and Ike.  Gainesville was not projected to be in the path of hurricane Matthew, being on the weak eastern side, no where near the coast and far from the eye. Just squalls and winds, the sun will more then likely be shining bright in Gainesville Sunday afternoon.
The #18 ranked Florida Gators chose to cancel the Saturday meeting with the LSU Tigers at The Swamp in  Gainesville. They were well within their right as home team.  But they also refused to consider rescheduling the game.

The Tigers offered to fly in and play Sunday night in The Swamp, field condition permitting.  Fla.. refused.  LSU offered to play a Monday night.  Fla. refused.  LSU offered to play in any open stadium in the south of Florida's choice.  Fla. refused. They stalled and hid behind the SEC Commissioner until he postponed the game indefinitely.

In defense of the Florida Gators, with their toothless offense and their much vaunted mythical Defense, you know, the one the Vols hung 28 points on in less then 15 min, and the same one that SEC powerhouse Vanderbilt beat up last week, coupled with what LSU did to Missouri last Saturday, I wouldn't want to face the Tigers either.  Florida Coach McIlwain saw the storm was gonna be a gift from heaven.

Oh well, McIlwain can take his swamp roosters down the road a bit to Disney World Saturday instead. They reopen at 8am.

There's a reason fried Gator meat taste like chicken.....

This Week in the SEC:

#1 Alabama vs #16 Arkansas:
If Alabama were to lose a game this year, this would be the one to lose. I think it would have less affect on the The Tide's run then a loss to A&M. The Hogs have made the Tide sweat through the last two meeting, but as usual, the tide will pull away in the 4th quarter.
I say The Tide by 10

#9 Tennessee vs #8 Texas A&M
The Vol's Cinderella season takes a hit this weekend as the Agricultural and Mechanical Dudes from Texas defense are a bit to much. This may be a very close and low scoring game. (Sorry Dutch, I call um like I see um)
I say A&M by 6

Nothing else to call this week. The big 10 is still beating up cupcakes and the rest I really have no interest in.

After just missing on both of my upsets calls last week Diogenes went 2-2, and 9-3 on the year so far.

Tiger vs Tiger

If you had told me 4 weeks ago that Texas A&M would be sitting atop the SEC west, Les Miles would be eating cheetos and watching the LSU Tigers play on TV, and my car would be stolen, I would have gently put my arm around you and suggest you see a mental health expert. But, so it is in week 5 of college football.

The LSU Tigers are now in the capable hands of interim coach Ed Orgeron. Coach O' has been here before, successfully taking over at USC and cleaning up the mess left by HC Lane Kiffen. Coach O' has been an active recruiter in the past and well liked Tiger's D line coach. A full blooded Cajun from South Louisiana and a Tiger all the way to the bone, he has the utmost respect from present and former Tigers players, and is said to be the kinda guy they would run through a wall for.

In Baton Rouge, it a new game, and a new season.

This week, LSU welcomes for the first time to Tiger Stadium the SEC East 2-2 Missouri Tigers. The teams have only met once, in the 1978 Liberty Bowl.  Muzzou comes in with one of the SEC's most productive offense, hanging over 500 yds. per game on opponents. They play a hurry-up offense and have put up a lot of points, and their QB leads the SEC in passing yardage. But to date haven't played a pass rush like LSU, or had to defend against the likes of the 'Headhunter' Arden Key, who leads the nation in QB sacks.

This should be a good game and barometer to tell how good the Mizzou offense really is, and just how much the few changes Coach O' has made are effective. I for one would not want to be a Mizzou Tiger coming into an invigorated and sold out Death Valley at this particular point in time.
I say LSU by 10+

This Weeks Predictions:

My girlie intuition parts are tingling this week:

#11 Tennessee v #25 Georgia
Okay, the Vols acted like they won the Super Bowl last week. Now they are ripe for an upset. Besides, they wear orange. I hate orange! Orange doesn't belong on football uniforms. Orange belongs on Pumpkins.
Upset - Georgia by 6  They had it and let it slip away!

#8  Wisconsin v #4 Michigan
The Badgers are battle tested while the Wolverines have been beating up cupcakes.
Jim Harbaugh cries in his beer Saturday night.
Upset- Badgers by 7  Close but no cigar!

#1 Alabama v Kentucky
A case of explosive diarrhea strikes the entire Crimson Tide team Saturday morning. To prevent a forfeit, the support staff, cheerleaders and entire coaching staff dresses out. Nick Saban completes 10 of 16 passes for 102 yds but is still short.....
Crimson Tide by 40+

Since Diogenes didn't make any calls last week, she remains 7-1 for the year so far.
