Video CNN Is Set To Play In Event of The End Of The World

Although the world will surly end at some point,  lucky for us CNN has plans and an end of the world video which the last living CNN employee will be required to play.

A former intern found the never-before-seen video which has been dubbed the “Turner Doomsday Video,” after the network's creator, Ted Turner. After creating Cable News Network (CNN) 34 years ago, Turner assured the world that the only way they'd go off air was on account of  the end of the world.

According to Turner:
"We’ll be on, and we will cover the end of the world, live, and that will be our last event. We’ll play the National Anthem only one time, on the first of June [the day CNN launched], and when the end of the world comes, we’ll play ‘Nearer My God To Thee’ before we sign off."
The video is stored on CNN’s MIRA archive system. According to the website Unilad, “The video itself is proper 80s,” and “It’s in standard definition, with an aspect ratio of 4:3, perfect for the cathode-ray tube televisions of the 1980s.”

It goes to show the level of production quality CNN is ready to offer its viewers, but that’s the kind of broadcasts to which they've become accustomed.  CNN may very well be the human centipede of journalism at this point, its bloated corpse stumbling through the supposed middle ground of the wasteland that is American cable news.

Personally, I'd rather see CNN go out with the slightly whacked CNN Anchor Dudette Carol Costello running around the news set screaming and ripping her hair out while pseudo-journalist Don Lemon looks solemnly into the camera as he pees in his pants.....

Rev. Al's Hard-On Pill Script Found at Alleged Crime Scene

Sandy Rubenstein, a top official in Al Sharpton’s National Action Network,  was cleared of a rape accusations Monday, but not before one final, potentially humiliating revelation emerged about his pal, the Reverend Al Sharpton.

Rev Al Pastoring the Flock Ghetto Style
NY Daily News - A prescription for the sex pill Viagra was found in Rubenstein’s apartment — but it was issued in Sharpton’s name, a police source told the Daily News.

A shocked Sharpton initially said he was unaware of a doc's note for the little blue pill that treats erectile dysfunction.  “I don’t know anything about that, no, I don’t know anything about that,” Sharpton said, after a speechless second.

“I am not saying what I do or don’t do, I’m not going to invade my privacy for some cop,” said Sharpton. “I have no knowledge of what was in (Rubenstein’s) apartment. But it’s not uncommon for men of all ages to use certain things.

“If the motive of the cop was to embarrass me, at 60 years old, I am unembarrassable,” fumed Sharpton, whose longstanding animosity with the NYPD has reached a fever pitch because of his vocal opposition to stop-and-frisk and close relationship to Mayor de Blasio. The tensions got even worse recently with the execution of two cops who were shot while on duty.

The prescription was just the latest in a string of tawdry finds cops made as they searched Rubenstein’s apartment after a top official with Sharpton’s National Action Network accused him of drugging and raping her last year.  But after an investigation that saw interviews with 48 people, including Rubenstein and the accuser, prosecutors said Monday afternoon they concluded there was no case.

White Guilt Switcharoo

"Our schools and colleges are laying a guilt trip on those young people whose parents are productive, and who are raising them to become productive. What is amazing is how easily this has been done, largely just by replacing the word “achievement” with the word “privilege.” -Thomas Sowell

Harvard Professors Who Supported Obamacare are Angry That Their Health Insurance Cost Are Rising

Photo: New York Times
Poor Richard's News

This. Is. Infuriating. Professors at Harvard University have apparently changed their tune about Obamacare now that affecting them negatively.

From the NYT:
For years, Harvard’s experts on health economics and policy have advised presidents and Congress on how to provide health benefits to the nation at a reasonable cost. But those remedies will now be applied to the Harvard faculty, and the professors are in an uproar.
Members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, the heart of the 378-year-old university, voted overwhelmingly in November to oppose changes that would require them and thousands of other Harvard employees to pay more for health care. The university says the increases are in part a result of the Obama administration’s Affordable Care Act, which many Harvard professors championed.
The faculty vote came too late to stop the cost increases from taking effect this month, and the anger on campus remains focused on questions that are agitating many workplaces: How should the burden of health costs be shared by employers and employees? If employees have to bear more of the cost, will they skimp on medically necessary care, curtail the use of less valuable services, or both?
“Harvard is a microcosm of what’s happening in health care in the country,”  said David M. Cutler, a health economist at the university who was an adviser to President Obama’s 2008 campaign. But only up to a point: Professors at Harvard have until now generally avoided the higher expenses that other employers have been passing on to employees. That makes the outrage among the faculty remarkable, Mr. Cutler said, because “Harvard was and remains a very generous employer.”
This particular Obamacare story makes me especially angry. I don’t think that this is a case of the professors simply being ignorant of the effects of Obamacare. After all, anyone who understands economics knew it would be a disaster. I think it’s more sinister than that. I think these professors expected to somehow be immune to it all. In other words, they were in favor of the regulations and higher premiums for you, so long as they weren’t affected by it.

Jimmy Carter's Biggest Blunder

America's 2nd Worst Presidency Continues to Haunt Us

May people today are unaware the most difficult and brilliant feat of engineering in modern times, one which cost an estimated 32,000 plus lives and almost 100 years from conception to finish  is no longer in American Control.   One of the crowning achievements of the the Presidency of Theodore Roosevelt , a strategic  tool in the defense of America and the western hemisphere and a vital weapon in the winning of World War 2 was signed over to new owner by that brilliant Statesman, the 39th president, Jimmy Carter.

On  October 1, 1979 Carter signed the Torrijos-Carter Treaty, which set in motion the process of handing over the Panama canal to Panamanian control  and providing for a twenty-year period during which Panama would have increasing responsibilities for Canal operations, culminating in complete U.S. withdrawal on 31 December 1999, during the presidency of  Bill Clinton.

The treaty was highly controversial, and its passage was difficult. The controversy was largely caused by contracts to manage two ports at either end of the canal, which were awarded by Panama to a Hong Kong-based conglomerate, Hutchison Whampoa, a  company that has close ties to the the Chinese military.

The Chinese have undertaken more massive construction on the canal and will have a strategic advantage over the west, no ship, commercial or military will be able to pass without being electronically scanned, photographed and spied upon as they move from ocean to ocean.

The rise of the Chinese navy and control of both ends of the canal will allow free movement of the their navy into the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean for the first time, as well as shutting off the world's easiest means of  commercial and military movement of water traffic in a minutes notice.

Obama Knowingly Perpetuates the Falsehoods About the Canadian Keystone XL Pipeline

by Robert Janicki

In President Obama's last press conference of 2014, he once again misstated the elements of the Keystone XL Pipeline Project. Obama continued the canard that the project would only create a nominal number of American jobs, when median estimates are that 20,000 high paying jobs would be created in the two plus years of the construction phase of the pipeline.  Additional tens of thousands of permanent jobs would be created in the refineries and the oil by products market for further manufacturing and consumer end use.  It's estimated that close to a million jobs throughout the economy could be created as a result of the crude oil flowing into the United States through the XL Pipeline.

Obama then further pushed the prevarication that the tar sands oil from Canada would simply pass through America to the Gulf Coast, only to be exported to the world market and thus would have no impact on gasoline prices in America.  That is an absolute lie and Obama knows it.  For forty years it has been illegal to export crude oil.  Now, that is not to say that refined products can't be exported.  However, the State Department analysis indicated that the results of the Keystone pipeline will not affect the export trend for refined oil products.   It is estimated that less than 10% of the thousands or so oil based products refined along the Gulf Coast will be for export, which is consistent with current export practices.

TransCanada (TC), the builder/operator of the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline is an oil pipeline transportation business.   TC has no financial ownership in anything, but the pipeline, as owner/operators.  TC does not own any of the tar sands oil to be shipped through its pipeline to the Gulf Coast.  The tar sands oil is going to be sold to the Gulf Coast refineries in Texas and Louisiana by the Canadian oil producers.  Valero, in Port Arthur, Texas, is the largest refinery along the Gulf Coast, along with many others, and the company is the world's largest independent refiner with other refineries in the United States, Canada and the UK.

Valero currently processes approximately 3 million barrels of crude oil per day.  Valero is also one of the largest retailers of gasoline in the United States along with selling to independent gasoline retailers.  The TC pipeline will expand Valero's access to the crude oil supply in greater volumes economically unachievable by importing with ocean going oil tankers.  This is also true with the other oil refineries along the Gulf Coast, which will be purchasing the tar sands crude oil from the Canadian oil producing companies.

President Obama either has no idea how the world oil market works or how it is related to the ultimate price of gasoline in the United States.  The Canadian tar sands oil will be principally processed into gasoline and refined into its many byproducts, by the many oil refineries around the Gulf Coast.  It is yet to be determined where these finished products will find their end use, but the estimates are that the gasoline will enter the domestic American market along with the majority of byproducts.

In the final analysis all the Canadian tar sand oil products produced in the Gulf Coast refineries will contribute to the global market supply and will be priced according to global consumer demand.  The more oil products that are produced, including gasoline, will increase the global supply and thus reduce the global market price relative to the shrinking global demand.  As we have seen at the gas pump, the world oil products markets are currently experiencing an oversupply relative to demand, thus bringing down the price to the consumer, wherever that consumer is located.  Cheap and abundant fossil fuels are what made America the great industrial dynamo that it is today.  If America expects to maintain that same position in the world economy, it must continue to produce adequate supplies of crude oil and natural gas to match the demands placed upon our industrial base.

So, why is Obama doing everything possible to see to it that the XL Pipeline project never sees approval?  The answer is simple.  It does not fit the liberal model of control of as much of the economy as possible.  Warren Buffett, wealthy supporter of the Obama administration and other things liberal, will stand to lose money with his ownership interest in the BNSF railroad, which currently is the primary transportation means for the trickle of Canadian oil entering the U.S. refining.

The other liberal constituencies that oppose the XL Pipeline Project, are a collective assortment of enviro-Nazis groups that oppose all forms of fossil fuels and the evil producers they consider are working against Mother Earth. These groups are major financial supporters of the Democrat Party and have a lot of power in the Obama administration.

Every analysis and assessment that has been made on the pipeline project has indicated no significant adverse affects on the environment, while indicating the economic benefits could be substantial.  Obama knows this, but has chosen to deny the facts in order to satisfy a very powerful Democrat constituency that funds Democrat candidates.
