The Meme Police

This is very news organization has been reporting this week about how states are refusing to turn over voter data to the administration over privacy concerns, while tracking down a private citizen and threatening to publish his personal information if he doesn’t stay on the straight and narrow. In a week when we celebrate freedom, it’s a good reminder that threats to our liberties don’t come solely from government.

....and it looks like the incorrigibles at 4chan are Going After CNN

MFNS: Make No Mistake About It.

by the Editorial Board of Middle Finger News Service:

Make no mistake, our seasoned journalists drill down and tell the cautionary tales of bombshells that land on dumpster fires in the middle of firestorms, after the grilling of senators who pivot to whether they’d reached a tipping point or were just playing politics, not fearing the optics of thinking outside the box at the crossroads of their last ditch effort, although there is always plenty of blame to go around in the searing indictment of the favorite Washington parlor game that turns a blind eye on a potent symbol a the game-changer which dons the mantle of a hotly contested feeding frenzy.

Needless to say, it remains to be seen in the 24-hour news cycle of the digital age, whether at first glance, the woefully inadequate, byzantine rules that burst onto the scene will allow the punditocracy to breathe a sigh of relief or will force it to vicariously probe the powers that be for the American people. But those rules double-down with strange bedfellows in the wake of keen observers of tongue-wagging, well-heeled lobbyists who meet with an ignominious end in the final analysis at the end of the day when, for all intents and purposes, cooler heads prevail at the inflection point of no return that is sometime shrouded in secrecy in an ill-advised, much-ballyhooed, hastily-convened, closely-watched and oft-cited paradigm shift of a broken system that underscores the object lesson of a Rorschach test.

Be that as it may, this is not your father’s tectonic shift, if you will, and Christmas comes early for skittish politicans in that land of contradictions which ushered in an eye-popping era in a nutshell that, contrary to popular belief, prevents anyone from acknowledging the new norm in which there are no face-saving compromises and we all press each other’s hot-button issues which are the talk of the town.  Yet a portrait emerges of a grizzly veteran who endured withering criticism in a dizzying array of wide-ranging interviews in a nondescript office building, and of the poster child of an unsung hero who was tapped to rise from obscurity and spark a debate that raised the specter of hand-wringing partisans on both sides who trade barbs in a war of words and walked on thin ice in a charm offensive, going forward as creatures of Washington in a stinging rebuke to the fevered speculation of the proverbial growing body of evidence that shines a spotlight on a political football, which raises more questions than answers about our tightly knit social fabric.

Interestingly Enough......

I just perused the major lefty websites. Other then a few interesting 4th of July recipes for corndogs to stuff down their throats in lieu of other things today, or suggestions of flying the flag upside down in protest of Trump, no mention...none at all, of Patriotism or reason for celebration of America. Just another day to not have to work.

Happy Independence Day Y'all

May The Blessings Laid Upon this Nation at it's Founding
Remain Forevermore!

This day also marks the anniversary of the fall of Vicksburg.  On July 4th, 1863, after a 47 day siege of the city, ravished by hunger and disease, the heavily fortified stronghold and the Mississippi River navigation it controlled were surrendered to General Ulysses S. Grant, changing to course of the war. July 4th celebrations were not again observed in Vicksburg until 1907.

Lizzy Warren’s Senate Race Opponent Sends her a Birthday Gift. Princess Spreading Bull Was Not Amused

Massachusetts Senate candidate, businessman V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai, who is running against Elizabeth "Fauxcohontas" Warren for her U.S. Senate seat posted hilarious screenshots of a birthday gift for Warren he purchased online. Lizzy turned 68 in June. Ayyadurai, who is of bonafide East Indian decent, is running on the slogan: “Only a real Indian can defeat the fake Indian.” Senator Lizzy was not amused and refused to take a DNA test mailed to her by Ayyadurai.

The Boston businessman and inventor V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai is the real deal. Ayyadura received a Ph.D. and his undergraduate degree from the M.I.T.  Thanks to her exploitation of her phony minority status, Senator Lizzy, who graduated from Rutgers Law School was hired as a professor at Harvard Law, where she was listed as a “woman of color” and taught one class for a $300,000 salary, benefited from affirmative action hiring programs that should have benefited ACTUAL Native-Americans.  Hypocritical Progressiveness at it's best.

It's Gonna Be an Interesting Week Coming in the World of Journalism.......

Just about the only good thing one can say regarding the American Left, and that subspecies of it called "journalism," is that they never give up. They've long since abandoned any pretense to objectivity, and so day after day, they spin just about every single news event into yet another example of the horrors of the Trump administration. Given the unrelenting hostility toward president Trump from the Left, do they really think he's going to accommodate them and their trash? Elections have consequences, as somebody or other once said.

Governor Vetoes Campus Free Speech Bill

The deep red state of Louisiana is not known for college campus radicalism, outside of the bigots who believe a Tiger mascot is racist. But considering the left's war on free speech, shouting, intimidation, or violence, shutting down people expressing ideas they don't like, the Louisiana legislature decided to head off what many believe is coming sooner or later.

Governor John Bel Edwards(D), decried House Bill 269, previously passed the Louisiana Senate by a 30-3 vote, and the State House of Representatives with a unanimous vote, as a “solution in search of a problem”. The bill would have ensured that universities afforded “any person lawfully present on a campus” the right to political speech, so long as it was not disruptive. HB 269 also mandated a disciplinary hearing and allowed for potential punishment for those who impeded 1st amendment protected free speech.
“This bill is a solution in search of a problem that creates a long, detailed structure for the evaluation of the freedom of expression on college campuses. However, this bill is unnecessary and overly burdensome to our colleges and universities as the freedoms this bill attempts to protect are already well-established by the bedrock principles” in both the state and national constitution." - Gov. John Bel Edwards
Perhaps Gov. Edwards doesn't pay attention to the news, or maybe he just doesn't care because Democrats aren't being intimidated and attacked. Despite all the examples of violence, speakers being blocked, and the overwhelming atmosphere of intimidation on campuses across the country towards non-Leftist thought, Edwards doesn't seem to feel there's a problem.

The truth is that an alarming number now feel completely justified in denying someone's opportunity to speak in a public venue by any means necessary. In a state struggling to balance a budget, damaged economically by Obamacare regulation, and Feral Travons shooting up sections of the three largest cities in the state, the last thing Louisiana needs is outsiders coming in and causing trouble and violating anyone's rights with out consequences.

You can bet if it were queers, muslims, blacks or just women targeted for intimidation and violent anti-free speech protest, you know what would happen. The left would be going ape-shit and congressional Dems would be calling for FBI and Civil Rights investigations

There shouldn't be a need for free speech laws beyond the Constitution, but here we are.
