Illegal immigrants recently bused into New York city fight to retain their free accommodations at a cozy midtown Manhattan hotel. Meanwhile many U.S. army veterans are relegated to life on the cold city streets.

Unfortunately how ideologically scintillating a policy is has become more important than how much it promotes the interests of the American people. Helping veterans is not a very “sexy” topic on the Left, but demonstrating one’s “compassion” by accommodating illegal migration is. But how can I trust in the compassionate motivations of anyone who does not care for his own? If you extend your arm to assist my child while your own child is starving, I will not assume that you are motivated by compassion, I will assume that there is something ulterior in your motives.

Demanding Tolerance of the Abnormal

One of the left's primary goals has always been to convince us that we are not normal if we do not affirm its ideology, a well established tactic among totalitarians. People who believe in normal things are under attack in America. We are assaulted on a near continuous basis by leftists who practice and promote behavior that is clearly abnormal. Frighteningly, some of this behavior is not merely abnormal, it's evil.

The online Merriam-Webster Dictionary provides many definitions of normal. Among them are: “conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern, characterized by that which is considered usual, typical, or routine; according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, procedure, or principle; occurring naturally.

If we contrast these accepted definitions of normal with many policies and practices of the left, a trend emerges. Much of what today’s left promotes does not comport with what is recognized as normal. Instructing children how to think and behave like racists, as happens in many government schools through variants of Critical Race Theory, is not normal.  It's harmful.

Grown men dressed as women and performing provocatively before preschoolers, people pretending to be a sex they are not is not normal. Promoting obesity is not normal, it's dangerous.  Taking money from people and giving it to other people, otherwise known as wealth redistribution, is not normal. It produces mediocrity. Letting criminal suspects out of jail with no restrictions or repercussions is not normal, degrades and endangers society. Boys playing sports against girls is not normal and never should be.  The left actively promotes demands things that simply fly in the face nature itself.

Ordinary people are often intimidated into going along with abnormal ideologies because it’s easier than being screeched at by somebody who demands we affirm their abnormal behavior. This intimidation prompts many people to tip-toe around the fact that much of what we see in America today just isn’t normal and sometimes, we keep quiet even though we know it’s not normal. This is how normal becomes redefined. It’s how Soviet Communism found a way to imprison and torture those with whom they disagreed; they just weren’t normal. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn knew that all too well.

None of this is to suggest we should discriminate against people with such beliefs as they try to do to us. Many of these people have been deceived, coerced or extorted into affirming abnormal behavior and ideas for self preservation or a false sense of power.

By the same token, other Americans have every right to withhold their acquiescence of abnormal behaviors without fear. A little more ‘live-and-let-live’ would go a long way. But live-and-let-live is a two-way street. As long as ordinary people are under attack, we have an obligation to recognize and call out the abnormal behavior of those who demand we agree with their misguided ideology, and fearlessly shove it back into their fucking faces.

What can be said about Adam Schiff that hasn’t already been said? Let’s make that what can I put in writing about a smarmy political hack with apparently zero conscience who has told more lies and made more “smoking gun” promises over the last six years.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Tuesday night, as promised, officially booted Schiff, and equally smarmy political hack Eric Swalwell, off the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Schiff of course threw a predictable snit fit when the boot came, profusely lying as usual and making silly threats on his way to the curb:

"This is petty, political payback for investigating Donald Trump. 

If he thinks this will stop me, he will soon find out just how wrong he is. 

I will always defend our democracy."

Serial liar Schiff’s 24×7 obsession with DJT has been pathetically hilarious, and his claim of “defending our democracy” is laughable. Sorry Adam, you got exactly what you deserved.
