Your Big Ass Mid Week Open Thread & Presidential Debate Commentary Post

Now Your Beloved Blog Editrix, Who Loves Each and Everyone of You, knows we all will probable tune in to Great Debate, if even for just a peek, to see our two Great Elder Statesmen {insert laugh track here} spend ninety minutes spouting stats, denying responsibility and calling each other liars. Joey B. has been down at the retreat cramming info into blank spaces in his head to memorize things he has no idea was done in his name, while DJT has chosen the freeball it and just make Joe defend his horrendous record.

It's 45 vs *46.

*46 and his Debate Secret Weapon

Unfortunately, Your Beloved Blog Editrix's presence is necessary at the musical note capturing facility during the debate time, but will be monitoring from time to time the debate audio via FM, along with this post via the magical hand held Samsung communication thingy. The MSNBC after debate commentary team, led by the esteemed and always vivacious Joy Reid and the hunky Ricky Maddow, should be comical.

And Earl was keen enough to dig up the 411 on some of the MSNBC Post Debate Panel and colleagues and their the goings on pre-debate:

 Spokeshuman's statement from Earl's Report
"Joy Reid’s Hairless (Heads only) Summer is going on now and the whole MSPSD crew is joining in support! We do want to thank the fine Caregivers from What’s Left of Your Life Head Injury Rehabilitation Home for bringing over Lawrence O’Donnell to be part of the event, He’s come so far in his recovery from that head-on crash into the men’s room toilet rim at Fistme Freddy’s. We couldn’t be prouder of our friend, good ol’ Birdbath Giraffe…snicker. Also Kudos to Chris Hayes in his efforts to replace Brian Stelter’s role as the standard Effeminate Media Fanboy and Hairless Fragile Rotunded Potato. Chris is practically a lock".
I therefore open up the floor. So Don Your Blogging Thongs and Share Ye Links & Bicker.
And I'd really like to hear your comments on the debate, during or after.

The Media Word of the Week

I have noticed over the last few years our betters in the media have a new habit of latching on to a word or phrase and work very hard to include this newly discovered word or phrase into their multiple fact checked guaranteed absolutely true truth they present to us in their smug and uprightly attitude of self- importance.

Let me test your memory.

I remember listening to a young 20 something media network stand-in reporter babe broadcast from the WH lawn, who was obviously getting her first big break at the network.  In order to impress she must have pick up a dusty old dictionary, and found a little used word in American english.  The word was  "Palpable".

For the next week or two, every bigtime network news reporter worked overtime to twist and bend their work to include this amazing new discovery into their reports, everything from stories about DJT to reports on cow farts. "It was all palpable. Back to you Bob...."

Again I noticed another great discovery emanating from the media during recent kangaroo court processing reports, the word " Fungible". Certain self-important media personalities just had to use it like the other cool kids were doing. I can see them now standing in front of a mirror practicing saying "Fungible".

Then there was the over used phrase last week "Christian Nationalist" The mental gymnastics they used to work it into reports on things like broken sidewalk pavement in front of a church to a 200 year old traditional flag was a thing to behold.

Before that the media circle jerk's word of the week was "Convicted Felon."  They really love that one!

And now the media monkey's word of the week is "Theocracy" (see previous post below)

noun:
  1. 1.  a system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or a god.
  2. 2.
a form of government in which one or more deities are recognized as supreme ruling authorities, giving divine guidance to human intermediaries

I'm not even really even listen to the TV and I've heard it pop up at least 7 times in 2 hrs.

Paging Mr. Orwell.

Let's Check in on the Crazy Cajun Coot and See If His Head Has Exploded Yet.

Carville Warns 'If Trump Wins' And Replaces Liberal Justice,
                                   US Will 'Officially' Become 'Theocracy'

Republican Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry signed Senate Bill 313 into law last Wednesday, making it the first state to mandate a small display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms.
“So let’s everybody remember what’s really really at stake here,” Carville continued. “What this is really really about. And it’s about imposing a theocracy on other people...... It is in Louisiana and they’re being exploited by people who really have, which I think is an odious and insidious agenda for the United States of America".
Once again, a show of desperation on Serpent Head's part. He should know better.

For all the bad reputation accrued by "The Kingfish", Huey P.  Long as governor of Louisiana (1928-32) not only guaranteed free school textbooks for every pupil the state, including private religious schools,  but built hundreds of brick school building that continued to be constructed through the early depression years.  Long's opponents claimed  the free textbooks to religious schools violated the separation of church and state and sued Long. The case went to the U.S. Supreme Court, which ruled in Long's favor in a major Church / State ruling.

Inside the main entrance to these schools, and schools built up until the late 1940's, most of which are still stand today were 3 very large bronze plaques. One held the words of the 'Declaration of Independence', another 'The Bill of Rights' and the third plague 'The Ten Commandments'.  Real scary stuff ya know. A picture shows they were large enough to not be missed. No one was worried about a theocracy back then.  Just fear mongering and bigotry by the Democrats.

They remained in place, I have been told, until desegregation of the public schools in 1970.  Eventually after black teachers and administrators took over the schools deemed  the plaques offensive and they were taken down and eventually replace with horrendously bad urban art.  And while Carville graduated from a catholic high school, he attended public primary school during the 1950's. He knows about the plaques. He remembers them.

This my friends is just more fear mongering for the leftist rabble. The US Supreme Court, nor the Legislature of the State of Louisiana belongs to the Democrat party. And this move by Governor Landry is not pushing anything radical on students or teachers. Can't say that about the gay lobby though can ya James?

Fear & Smear is all the Dems have.

BTW, any of yous guys remember the portraits of the sitting US President that I was told were hung everywhere in public buildings and schools?  No one I know remembers seeing a presidential portrait hung in public buildings since Ronald Reagan won the 1980 election.

Guess they haven't gotten over that either........
