Socialist Lawmakers Sojourn to Castro's Utopian Cuba

Nancy Pelosi Leads a Democrat House Delegation

Pelosi Arrives Ready to Make Deals
Politico - House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi traveled with a congressional congregation to Cuba on Tuesday.

The trip is the first official House delegation to travel to the island nation since President Barack Obama announced late last year an easing of trade restrictions with the Castro regime.

“This delegation travels to Cuba in friendship and to build upon the announcement of U.S. normalization of relations and other initiatives announced by President Obama,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) said. “This delegation will work to advance the U.S.-Cuba relationship and build on the work done by many in the Congress over the years, especially with respect to agriculture and trade.”

The delegation includes Democratic Reps. Eliot Engel of New York, Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Collin Peterson of Minnesota, Anna Eshoo of California, Nydia Velázquez of New York, Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, Steve Israel of New York and David Cicilline of Rhode Island. Engel is the ranking member of the Foreign Affairs Committee.

Rumor Has It Hillary Loved The Fifty Shades of Gray Movie

Top Presidential Experts call Obama 'Overrated' and One of the Worst By 3-1

Word is He's a Pretty Crappy Golfer Too....

Just weeks after Foreign Policy magazine announced the results of its 2014 Ivory Tower survey of 1,615 international relations scholars from 1,375 U.S. colleges naming John Kerry the Least effective U.S. Secretary of State of the past 50 years, the Liberal think tank The Brookings Institution  issues a survey naming Barack Obama as one of the non-great Presidents.

This should not come as news except to your typical mouth breathing progtard....

Washington Examiner
He’s still viewed as a nice guy, but less than two years before he wraps up two terms in the Oval Office presidential scholars don’t believe President Obama ranks anywhere near history’s greats, making him a mediocre 18th in the line of best to worst.
According to a Brookings Institution survey of American Political Science Association scholars, they put Obama on the worst, not best, list by a margin of nearly three-to-one. Here's how Brookings wrote it: “Those who view Obama as one of the worst American presidents outnumber those who view him as one of the best by nearly a 3-1 margin.”
And, the friendly think tank added, “nearly twice as many respondents view Obama as over-rated than do those who consider him under-rated.”
Overall, Brookings said, “Few think of Obama as an excellent president, while many more rate his presidency quite low, with the bulk of experts appearing to give him a passing grade but not one that would get him on the Dean’s list.”
The survey was sent to 391 members of the American Political Science Association’s Presidents & Executive Politics section, the premier organization of experts of the American presidency, and 162 participated online.
Brookings noted that the polls on Obama’s greatness have never been high, and their survey of presidential experts helps to explain why.
First, they find Obama polarizing. “One area where there is significant expert consensus about the president, however, concerns how polarizing he is viewed as being — only George W. Bush was viewed as more a more polarizing president,” said the blog post.
They also have a muddled view of his military, legislative and diplomatic skills, a far fall from the praise he received early in his first term when he won the Nobel Peace Prize.
“It could be worse for Obama,” adds Brookings. “Barring unforeseen scandal, he’s unlikely to become significantly less popular, and as he enters his post-presidency, he is likely to experience the same slow rise up the greatness polls George W. Bush has had. Whether that is a sluggish climb or more noteworthy, as the case has been with Truman and George H.W. Bush, remains to be seen, but there is still plenty of time left in his presidency to lay the foundation for future claims on the empty spot to the right of Lincoln on Mount Rushmore’s granite façade.”
I know I'm not alone by saying I'm not holding my breath on the Mt. Rushmore thing.....

Federal Judge Blocks Obama’s Executive Amnesty on Illegals

Judge Issues Temporary Restraining Order Against Emperor's Edict
AP - A federal judge in Texas on Monday temporarily blocked President Barack Obama’s executive action on immigration, giving a coalition of 26 states time to pursue a lawsuit that aims to permanently stop the orders.
U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen’s decision comes after a hearing in Brownsville, Texas, in January. It puts on hold Obama’s orders that could spare as many as five million people who are in the U.S. illegally from deportation.
The federal government is expected to appeal the ruling to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Neither the White House nor the Justice Department had any immediate comment early Tuesday.
The first of Obama’s orders — to expand a program that protects young immigrants from deportation if they were brought to the U.S. illegally as children — was set to start taking effect Wednesday. The other major part of Obama’s order, which extends deportation protections to parents of U.S. citizens and permanent residents who have been in the country for some years, was not expected to begin until May 19.
Joaquin Guerra, political director of the Texas Organization Project, called the ruling a “temporary setback.”
"We will continue getting immigrants ready to apply for administrative relief," he said in a statement.
In a 2013 ruling in a separate case, Hanen suggested the Homeland Security Department should be arresting parents living in the U.S. illegally who induce their children to cross the border illegally.
The coalition of states, led by Texas and made up of mostly conservative states in the South and Midwest, argues that Obama has violated the “Take Care Clause” of the U.S. Constitution, which they say limits the scope of presidential power. They also say the order will force increased investment in law enforcement, health care and education.
"Judge Hanen’s decision rightly stops the President’s overreach in its tracks," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement.
In their request for the injunction, the coalition said it was necessary because it would be “difficult or impossible to undo the President’s lawlessness after the Defendants start granting applications for deferred action.”

Delusional Lefty Sally Kohn Takes Stupidity to New Heights

CNN's Gender Confused Moonbat Commentator Sally Kohn
by Robert Janicki
On Monday, Sally Kohn, liberal commentator for CNN and columnist for the Daily Beast, in an internet exchange with Katie Pavlich of Townhall, stated that we shouldn't bomb ISIS, since that is exactly what they want us to do.
Now, from my perspective I see no reason not to accommodate ISIS to help fulfill their apocalyptic vision, with one minor consideration and that is the complete destruction of ISIS to introduce them to God in order to let Him sort out the details.
Kohn would also go on to inject biblical scripture to support her theory.  The scripture quoted was:
"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good" - Romans 12:21.
I'm not a theologian, although I have attended Protestant Christian churches throughout my lifetime.  Somehow, I'm thinking that a liberal, and quite possibly a secularist, quoting scripture and then claiming it is on point in the present situation, stretches reality beyond reason and belief.
Somehow Kohn must think, like so many liberals, that what we are witnessing around the world with radical Islamists, is merely a criminal policing situation.  Kohn apparently does not realize in the daze of her delusional world, that the Islamist Jihadists of ISIS are engaging all those in the world that do not submit to their insane beliefs.  They are simply doing it one country or region at a time in their goal to subjugate all the infidels of the world, including other Muslims not inclined to the insane beliefs of ISIS.  How Kohn believes we should deal with ISIS is not just unclear, but completely unaddressed in her internet exchange with Pavlich.

Redstate editor Ben Howe stated it best:

The savages of ISIS are knocking at the front door, the backdoor and all the windows of the civilized Western world and, theologian of all things liberal, Sally Kohn, preaches peace, love and liberal bullshit.  I'm thinking 6 millions Jews would like the opportunity to rethink how they acted in the face of Hitler's genocidal holocaust of these same good people who could not believe just how evil some fellow human beings could be to them just because of their different religious beliefs.
I propose that Sally Kohn go to Racca, Syria, to dialog in person with ISIS leaders to establish a kumbaya moment for reconciliation and the end of ISIS barbarism.  Failing that suggestion, perhaps Kohn should seriously consider the concept of STFU.

The Strange Regret Of Ex-Obama Aide

Since the election of Barack Obama, the members of Democrat Party elite
have become More and More Bizarre....
John Podesta is a man on a mission, beyond electing libs to public office
WJ
The longtime Democrat super-operative and counselor to presidents who is expected to help honcho a Hillary Clinton run for the White House has made a true confession — and a rather strange one at that — with announcement of his “biggest failure of 2014.”
Fox News reports that John Podesta, who has just left his job as a close Obama confidant and consultant, has told his twitter followers that he regrets “once again not securing the #disclosure of the UFO files.”
For the man who, according to The New York Times, “helped save Bill Clinton’s presidency from the fires of scandal and impeachment,” bringing secret government files on UFO’s to the light of public scrutiny has long been a passion.
And since the founder of the ultra-liberal, Soros-backed Center for American Progress and fan of the defunct TV show “The X-Files” made his disappointment over the continued secrecy of the UFO files a tweet, naturally his followers lit up Podesta’s twitter feed.

A Good Monday Morning
