An "Exhausted’ Lawrence O’Donnell declared he’s taking a break from Trump after covering DJT's first 50 days' during the nightly handoff from MSNBC's Butch Cronkite. “I’m exhausted at day 52, and so I’m going to take next week off. And I’m telling you that now because I know you don’t like it when I just drift away. I’m just taking next week off, then I’m going to come back and go with you all the way to the 100 days, Rachel."

After O’Donnell said he was taking his much-needed break, he launched into a rant about Trump in which he claimed the president’s “brain does not work.”

"Donald Trump’s brain is broken, badly damaged, as he exhibits every day. And once again today Donald Trump said something that would have gotten any other president rushed to the hospital for a neurological examination and an evaluation for dementia, for starters. That’s where they would have begun."

O’Donnell, the most smug and rumored to be the most disliked of all the MSNBC talking squirrels, once the go-fer who kept Speaker of the House Chip O'Neil's scotch glass full and did coffee runs for staff lives on a razors edge, delicately balancing reality and insanity.

What is most impressive is that plummeting readers, revenues, and layoffs have done little to convince the mainstream media that the problem is not the public but themselves. The only institution with a lower lower level of public trust is Congress, and that says a lot. It is like beating Ebola as the preferred communicable disease.Some 69 percent of Americans now say that they have no or little trust in the media. Only 31 percent say that they have a great deal or fair amount of trust. The trending line looks like the sales of buggy whips after the introduction of the Model T Ford. Gallop put it into sharp terms: 

"About two-thirds of Americans in the 1970s trusted the "mass media -- such as newspapers, TV and radio" either 'a great deal' or 'a fair amount' to "[report] the news fully, accurately and fairly.' By the next measurement in 1997, confidence had fallen to 53%, and it has gradually trended downward since 2003. New York Times’s columnist David Brooks complained the media had a four year vacation from doing their job and is “once again” having to cover the large amount of news Trump generates.

Americans’ trust in the establishment media to report current events “fully, accurately and fairly” plummeted to a record low in 2024, Gallup polling found in October. The decline in trust indicates the media lost credibility due to pushing false narratives, such as Hunter Biden’s laptop story, Russian collusion, the source of the 2020 pandemic, the January 6 investigation, and numerous hoaxes."

Even Democrats are Losing Confidence in Their God - The Media.

Gallup - The 32% of Americans who say they trust the mass media “a great deal” or “a fair amount” to report the news in a full, fair and accurate way ties Gallup’s lowest historical reading, previously recorded in 2016. Another 29% of U.S. adults have “not very much” trust, while a record-high 39% register “none at all.”  This nearly four in 10 Americans who completely lack confidence in the media is the highest on record by one percentage point. It is 12 points higher than the 2016 reading, which came amid sharp criticism of the media from then-presidential candidate Donald Trump -- making the current assessment of the media the grimmest in Gallup’s history.

The latest poll, conducted Sept. 1-23, marks just the second time, along with last year, that the share of Americans who have no confidence at all in the media has surpassed the percentage with a great deal or fair amount of trust. Gallup first asked this question in 1972 and has tracked it nearly every year since 1997. Trust ranged from 68% to 72% in three readings in the 1970s, and though it had declined by the late 1990s, it remained at the majority level until 2004, when it fell to 44%. it has not risen above 47% since. 

Democrats’ confidence in the mass media has consistently outpaced Republicans’, but the latest gap of 47 points is the narrowest since 2016. Democrats’ trust in the media has fallen 12 points over the past year, to 58%, and compares with 11% among Republicans and 29% among independents. The gap in partisans’ media confidence was largest from 2017 through 2022. Americans’ confidence in the mass media to report the news fully, fairly and accurately is at its lowest point since 2016, when Republicans’ trust fell sharply. 

This low confidence reading for the fourth estate comes at a time when trust in each of the three branches of the federal government is also low. In addition, Gallup in June found confidence readings in both TV news and newspapers that were near their historical lows and last December found a record-low-tying rating of the honesty and ethics of journalists. Although partisans remain sharply divided in their views of the media, Democrats’ trust fell significantly this year.

The Media Word of the Week

I have noticed over the last few years our betters in the media have a new habit of latching on to a word or phrase and work very hard to include this newly discovered word or phrase into their multiple fact checked guaranteed absolutely true truth they present to us in their smug and uprightly attitude of self- importance.

Let me test your memory.

I remember listening to a young 20 something media network stand-in reporter babe broadcast from the WH lawn, who was obviously getting her first big break at the network.  In order to impress she must have pick up a dusty old dictionary, and found a little used word in American english.  The word was  "Palpable".

For the next week or two, every bigtime network news reporter worked overtime to twist and bend their work to include this amazing new discovery into their reports, everything from stories about DJT to reports on cow farts. "It was all palpable. Back to you Bob...."

Again I noticed another great discovery emanating from the media during recent kangaroo court processing reports, the word " Fungible". Certain self-important media personalities just had to use it like the other cool kids were doing. I can see them now standing in front of a mirror practicing saying "Fungible". 

Then there was the over used phrase last week "Christian Nationalist" The mental gymnastics they used to work it into reports on things like broken sidewalk pavement in front of a church to a 200 year old traditional flag was a thing to behold. 

Before that the media circle jerk's word of the week was "Convicted Felon."  They really love that one! 

And now the media monkey's word of the week is "Theocracy" (see previous post below)

Serpent Head Wants to Force Media To Help Biden Defeat DJT

Sorry, someone left the gate unlocked again..... 

DC - Dem Strategist James Carville Thursday called for the Biden’s White House to help establish a way to compel the media to help defeat former President Donald Trump. 

 The New York Times’ executive editor Joe Kahn in May said his publication’s duty is to cover what Americans care about rather than what benefits Biden and hurts Trump, with the president’s close aides reportedly urging officials to criticize the NYT’s coverage since they believe the election is “existential” for the nation. Carville recently took issue with Kahn’s approach and urged media outlets to boost their “slanted coverage” of Trump to help ensure the former president does not secure reelection in 2024.

Carville on “Politics War Room” suggested the White House go a step further by telling the media more specifically what to cover and “have some kind of enforcement mechanism” to do so. 

“I call it the problem of the mosquito in a news colony. You got to pick a spot, alright, and there’s so many things about Trump. He’s crooked, he’s treasonous, he uses racism, he’s incompetent, he’s vulgar, he’s a sexual predator. But you get one and the next day it’s something else, and you’re jumping around.

There has to be, and this is where I fault the White House. The president needs to give a speech in fifteen minutes, and they poll, and they know. I mean, don’t kid yourself, they know exactly. Tell us what negative to accentuate. And then you can have some kind of enforcement mechanism. 

Hopefully, we get this in the debate, that there’s a coherent line of attack coming out of Biden against Trump, so that we can all pick it up. But then one segment on MSNBC is in one place, the Times columnist, you know, Krugman, is in another place and E. J. Dionne somewhere else and Eugene Robinson is over there. And it’s ten different people in ten different places and that’s not effective.

I don’t have anything against slanted coverage, I really don’t … I would have something against it at most other times in American history, but not right now. 

Fuck your objectivity. 

The real objectivity in this country right now is we’re either going to have a Constitution or we’re not.”

After a very bad public outing in front of the world press in Italy, concluding this weekend with the west coast gucci marxist elite gleefully offering to burn piles of cash on the fire that is the Biden campaign while average Americans struggle, the state media is starting to show their nervousness.

MSNBC's token Asian host Alex Wagner, almost in tears while interviewing some chick named Susan Glasser, said that DJT will be held to a much lower standard than Biden during the upcoming debate. Glasser agreed, saying the MAGA base doesn't hold Trump "accountable" like them and the rest of the hostile drooling leftist democrat journalists.

We all know, short of Biden breaking into some crazy story like arm wrestling Mao Zedong, Joe makes it on and off the set without incident, he'll be declared the winner. 

Maybe if the media, NBC News and it's ugly step-sister MSNBC in particular, would remove their cranium from their anal sphincter they would see the media telling us we didn't see or hear what we just saw and heard, their constant smearing and censoring of political opposition, hysterical prophetic fantasies of arrest and internment camps, executions and the end of world, have done as much to wound Biden as Biden himself.  And that is undisputed fact if you've taken a breath in the last four years. 

They should be nervous. The smug bastards have lots of reasons to be.

State Media Laments Biden Government's Restricted

 Censorship Privileges on Free Speech

The State Media has been in meltdown again every since Judge Terry A. Doughty of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana issued an injunction Tuesday ruling the Biden administration and other federal agencies suppressed free speech and ordered to stop the government from colluding with social media (as the Twitter files clearly proved) by stripping Americans’ of their right to free speech.

Doughty ruled members of the Biden administration, including officials with the FBI, DOJ, Biden WH and Department of Health and Human Services could not communicate with social media companies for “the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.”

In expected due course, the usual talking heads on CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and elsewhere who you would expect to defend free speech instead formed up for a media circle jerk and defend Biden and their government 'god of Big Brother', lamenting the ruling Wednesday by calling it "far reaching" and "Dramatic". 

Tulane University history Professor Walter Isaacson, CEO of the controversial 'Aspen Institute', said on MSNBC’s Squinty & Meat Puppet in the Morning, the decision “goes too far,” while also saying the “Twitter Files” showed the government and big tech companies did take it “a bit far.” Gee, ya think?

NBC’s Ryan Reilly argued the real problem is the FBI is NOT policing social media enough.

NBC's Ryan Nobles, speaking on a network known for pushing hoaxes and misinformation, questioning whether “elections could be undermined” without censorship of alleged disinformation.

Really Mr. Nobles?? On MSNBC no less?

The New York Times raised a similar argument, painting the ruling protecting free speech as one that hurts the government’s ability to protect Americans from alleged disinformation.

Like the incomparable Lieutenant Columbo, I have just one more question for these supposed constitutional experts. Just where in the constitution does the government hold the scepter of truth (a purveyor  of propaganda itself) have the right to suppress free speech, on the corner soap box or social media?

Woke Journalists and Their Transphobic Server

Big-name journalists we all love to hate, as well as many you’ve never heard of, loved their gatekeeping role on Twitter. They decided what you were permitted to know, and Twitter played along, happy to enforce the Mean Girls’ rules on their behalf.  But freedom of speech has returned to Twitter under Elon Musk, and journos are desperate for a new digital meeting place where they’re the Mean Girls clique once more.

So they turned to Mastodon, a totally Woke (and decentralized) social media platform of individual servers, where NPR’s Adam Davidson set up the journa.host server for like-minded media wokesters.  According to NYT, there are something like 2,000 members who have to prove who they are in order to join. A safe space to call people Nazis.  But not all is well in liberal paradise:

"Journalists signing up on mastodon at the jou. rna[.]host server should know that through no deliberate fault, the server has quickly gained a reputation for transphobia and has been widely banned/blocked." - Vox.

So journa.host is getting blocked by other Mastodon servers, effectively trapping our would-be gatekeepers behind a gate of their own doing. [enter laugh track here]

It’s all very technical, but the readers digest version is that it started with a New York radio host named “Mike Pesca, fired from the sleazy website 'Slate' for defending his right to use the word 'nigger', posted a transphobic NYT article and allegedly the first thing the journa[.]host mods did was ban another user for complaining that they hadn’t banned Pesca.” Mastodon is so touchy that it somehow managed to find a NYT article transphobic. 🤣🤣🤣 

Chaos ensued when a super woke transgender writer named Parker Molloy got itself suspended from journa.host. for a digital shouting match and pissing contest, ending with Molloy calling Pesca an “utter hack.” 🙃 And down the hill it goes.......

But the upshot is that a whole bunch of woke journalists, in trying to flee Musk’s “oppressive” Twitter, somehow got their server labeled transphobic, and now they’re fighting one another like it’s the Hunger Games, and may the odds be never in your favor.

Maybe this is just the natural and unavoidable result of putting insanely powerful digital tools in the hands of overprivileged Karens with the manners of hangry toddlers.  Meanwhile, traffic and user interaction are way up, according to Elon Musk, on the Tweeter that those screeching journos are trying to replace.

But there's more. Mastodon is not the end of the story, because it looks like our refugee journos are also trying 'Hive', which looks like it might just be the FTX of social media platforms.

It would take a heart of stone not to laugh.

The bid for Mastodon is failing. Woke refugees fleeing Twitter over @elonmusk's takeover have turned to Hive, which seems to have a fictitious origin story and a 20y/o creator. Despite the obvious dangers of information gathering, tech journos are telling people to install it.

Don't Believe the Media's Midterms Homestretch Hype

Summer is winding down, and the election that seemed like it would never come is just a little over two months away. The Democrats have been feeling a lot more chipper lately, and the Republicans have been greatly tempering the enthusiasm they’ve been feeling for most of the year. The Democrat propagandists in the mainstream media have been positively aglow with optimism in recent weeks, gushing about Biden’s presidency being completely transformed and rescued from the gutter. The fantastical storytelling bears no resemblance to reality, of course, but that never gets in the way of the Kool-Aid Kids.

When the Democrats recently took the lead on the RealClearPolitics generic ballot there was weeping and gnashing of teeth all throughout GOP Land. But that bump was short-lived. 

The Democrat media hacks will be in full-court press mode between now and election day to make it seem like everything is rainbows and puppies and Obama riding on a unicorn.

They’ll be working overtime to convince people that what’s happening isn’t really happening. And what’s happening is this fetid garbage Joe Biden economy. There aren’t any quick fixes for the Let’s Go Brandon inflation quagmire that the United States finds itself in right now. The Democratic base may be stupid enough to believe that the Inflation Reduction Act will actually reduce inflation, but the rest of us still have to buy groceries. Whatever voter apathy may have potentially been a problem for the GOP was almost certainly taken care of by Merrick Garland and the Biden Stasi. Voters who may have been willing to sit this one out are probably nice and fired up now. 

Democrats can paint all of the pretty pictures that they want to for the next couple of months but none of their efforts will gloss over the enormous damage that President Eightyonemillion and the commie cabal running his brain have done to this country.

It’s not surprising to see Newsman Dan Rather carry water for 46* and his Democratic cohorts, but to see the disgraced ex-newsman essentially justify actions from the president that will prove catastrophic to Afghan women may be a new low for the Godfather of Fake News.

He did so while taking a stand for the killing of unborn children.

The left is losing its collective mind over the Supreme Court refusing to take action on a request to block a Texas law prohibiting most abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy. Taking effect today, the law ushered “in the most restrictive abortion law life saving measure in the nation.

And this is where our feminist hero comes into play, as Dan took to the Tweeter to slam those who had concerns about Biden leaving Afghan women to the mercy of the brutal Taliban, downplaying the plight of these women to protect his guy, while advocating for the right to kill unborn babies.

It’s worth noting that many of the same people attacking the Biden Administration for leaving women’s rights behind in Afghanistan are eager to control women’s bodies and choices in the United States.

As for his tweet, Rather is saying those who care about the rights of women also care about protecting unborn babies, as if that’s a bad thing. But then, conservative Matt Walsh hit the nail on the head when it comes to the left’s fervid support for abortion.

If you ever had any doubt about who the bad guys are, just look at leftists convulsing in spittle-flecked rage like demon possessed lunatics because fewer babies will be murdered in Texas. That should clarify things for you.

Packaging an Unattractive Jew-Hating Homophobic Racial Bigot Proves Difficult

Joy Reid has a lot of problems. Being ugly is just one of them. The gay-bashing homophobe and proven liar, is facing a dramatic rating collapse.  On top of being anti-Semitic and a 9/11 conspiracy theorist, she’s almost ridiculously unappealing.  Ricky Maddow might also be a liar and conspiracy theorist, but she at least has a sense of humor, charisma, and a personality that can shift into a gear other than “smug.”

Nothing can paper over the fact that Reid has no charisma, isn’t terribly bright, is a painfully predictable ideologue, vindictive, and an intolerant bigot. Leftists were willing to put up with anyone to get their fix of Trump Hate, but now that DJT is gone, it’s just Reid and her endless crazy rantings and parade of anti-white guest babbling about mythical systemic racism.

Reid’s struggling program had its worst turnout among the crucial news demo of adults age 25-54, averaging only 149,000 viewers in the category that helps keep the lights on. “The ReidOut” finished the week as the No. 29 program in cable news among demo viewers, finishing behind 15 different Fox News offerings, five different MSNBC shows, and even eight programs from rival liberal network CNN.

He Saw Biden in All of His Glory and His Loins Quivered

46* for the Nobel Peace Prize

Sadly some Kool-Aid drinker that writes for The Hill thinks 46* deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.  No, I’m not kidding. Let’s forget for a second that Biden probably can’t even say 'Nobel Peace Prize' without reading it off a teleprompter. So what has he done to deserves this award? 

To be fair, some other lint licker nominated Biden a while ago.  But Brent Budowsky at The Hill just thinks he definitely deserves to win. Why? Well, if you want the cliff notes version, it’s for no good reason.  But if you want to hear what Brent Budowsky has to say, it’s because of all he’s achieved and all he aspires to achieve.

Now, I would probably label his accomplishments as ''Was No one watching him??'' and his future accomplishments as "dear Lord, why is this happening??" But Brent seems optimistic. I'm not sure why. And let's not forget, Joe's former boss snagged a Peace Prize for nothing more than having a nice crease in his pants or big ears or something. I can't really remember.

Brent thinks that after Trump dividing us (Biden would never say ANYTHING divisive, racist, or inappropriate, I mean besides everything he’s consistently said over the past 4 or 5 decades) Biden is restoring America’s leadership.

I figured Brent made this dumbass statement BEFORE Biden embarrassed himself and all of us on the world stage at the G7 summit in England or when he broke protocol three times with the Queen. But nah. This ratchet opinion piece came out yesterday morning.

Clearly this Brent Budowsky lives in a different universe than us. He sees Biden as compassionate and powerful. I only see a bumbling idiot.  And I do try to watch various news sources so I get a more balanced understanding of what’s going on in the world.  Biden is always an idiot.  Even CNNLOL recently ran a segment how unprecedented it is for the President’s handlers to prevent him from answering questions, literally screaming at him to stop talking.  I guess that’s all that power and confidence Brent mentioned.

If somehow Joe did manage to mumble his way into a Nobel Peace Prize, all it will tell me is that the award has gone the way of the Times Person of the Year Award.  Everything is meaningless.  Kinda of like Victoria’s Secret getting rid of their angels and hiring the flat chested dyke Megan Rapinoe and some plus sized chick to sell lingerie. That’s going to work out well. Or like when YouTube awarded YouTube with the YouTube free speech award.

But Brent saw Biden in all of his glory and his loins quivered. There’s a leader and a bastion of hope for humanity, Brent thought. He deserves the Nobel Peace Prize, Brent thought.

This made me think of Katha Pollit's famous reaction to flag displays after the 9/11 attacks. Here: "Put Out No Flags" (The Nation, September 20, 2001):

A Perfect Metaphor for What's Happened to Journalism Over the Past Few Decades.

The Gilded Temple to Themselves "The Newseum" Fails and is Stripped of it's Facade 

It was the Gilded Monument to Journalistic Vanity. A museum immortalizing their Courage and Virtue in Pantheon-esque marble, created upon the premise that the news media weren't boastful enough of their accomplishments, that reporters weren't egotistical enough about their importance that a monument to their mighty works was to be.

Dubbed by even the Washington Post in 2018 as "A Slow Motion Disaster" for the hefty price of $24.95 a head.  You didn't get to witness such historical media exhibits such as a 5,000 year old cuneiform clay tablet announcing Sargon I ascension to the Throne, nay!  But what the few who wandered in did get to see was the Watergate break-in door, props and costumes from the movie 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy', a mock-up of Tim Russert’s office, posters and reporters’ notebooks from the Ferguson protests, Andy Rooney‘s typewrite, a Boston Globe reporter’s running shoes, hundreds of press passes, and for some strange reason, even Bono’s jacket, and much more.

There was a time when the American News Media was who most of the world looked to for the best example of unvarnished truth as could be had.  But then came the advent of 24 Hr. news broadcast and with it the rise of the overly self-important media reporters, high payed on-air talking heads celebrities and an undeniable political bias.

So when we see such arrogant people who deem themselves higher then us because they, and they only hold the cup of truth, can we not feel a bit triumphant when they stumble and fall into a pile of their own excrement and their temple to themselves fails and raised to the ground.
