LSU vs. TENNESSEE
6PM CT - ESPN
Saturday the LSU Tigers travel to Rocky Top to face the Tennessee Volunteers. The 4-6 Vols fired Butch Jones after last weeks lost to a Mizzou. I kinda hate to see that. I always though Coach Butch looked like a Football coach should look like. And you could just tell, if he could, he was ready at a moments notice to thrown down the headset, grab a helmet and check in as an extra blocker on 4th and 1.
That's what makes this game in Knoxville, and the Vols dangerous. The Tigers are fully aware what changing coaches during a season can do to a team. They were in the same position early last year. For them, it worked out well. After the firing of Les Miles for the Tigers failing to play with any confidence and up to their talent level, coach O' was given the keys to the Tiger Cage and in the next 3 games the Tigers went on a tear, scored 125 pts while shutting down 3 of the top 15 passing offenses in the nation, giving up only 38 pts.
The Vols have nothing to lose Saturday, their season is all but over. But home field advantage as well as a renewed hope and a chance to redeem themselves as a team is what could makes the Vols dangerous!
If not, #5 & #28 might just rip them for 250 yds rushing.
But thanks for playin' the SEC game, Butch. I at least hope they gave you the Madden Home Edition as a consolation prize.
I say Tigers by 20+
* I've had no time to preview any games this week and not even sure who is playing who, so I will not make any predictions this week with the exception that Bucky the Badger is on Upset Alert.
