Woodward Isn’t Alone

Moonbattery
"Bob Woodward isn’t the only liberal to receive threats from an increasingly hysterical White House recently. Some are even going public.
Democrat hack Lanny Davis, best known for defending Bill Clinton’s inexcusable behavior night after night during the Lewinsky debacle, evidently needs to be kept in line:
"A day after Woodward’s claim that a senior White House official had told him he would “regret” writing a column criticizing President Obama’s stance on the sequester, Lanny Davis, a longtime close advisor to President Bill Clinton, told WMAL’s Mornings on the Mall Thursday he had received similar threats for newspaper columns he had written about Obama in the Washington Times.
Davis told WMAL that his editor, John Solomon, “received a phone call from a senior Obama White House official who didn’t like some of my columns, even though I’m a supporter of Obama. I couldn’t imagine why this call was made.” Davis says the Obama aide told Solomon, “that if he continued to run my columns, he would lose, or his reporters would lose their White House credentials.”

White House Threatens Bob Woodward

Talk Straight

Legendary liberal reporter Bob Woodward (of Watergate fame) ruffled a few feathers at the White House this week as he continued to point out the fact that the sequester was President Obama’s own proposal that originated in the White House, even as Obama as spent the week blaming Republicans.
Today, the White House actually threatened Woodward for opposing the President.
from Business Insider :
Bob Woodward said this evening on CNN that a “very senior person” at the White House warned him in an email that he would “regret doing this,” the same day he has continued to slam President Barack Obama over the looming forced cuts known as the sequester.
CNN host Wolf Blitzer said that the network invited a White House official to debate Woodward on-air, but the White House declined.
“I think they’re confused,” Woodward said of the White House’s pushback on his reporting.
Early yesterday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Woodward ripped into Obama in what has become an ongoing feud between the veteran Washington Post journalist and the White House. Woodward said Obama was showing a “kind of madness I haven’t seen in a long time” for a decision not to deploy an aircraft carrier to the Persian Gulf because of budget concerns.
Woodward is enough of a real reporter not to back down to White House Pressure. He faced Nixon’s White House machine and now he’s facing the same pressure from the Obama administration.
Woodward is actually sympathetic to Obama’s policies, but he’s not been afraid to point out that the White House has been lying about the sequester from the start.

Analyst Befuddled why her health insurance premium just went up.

Poor Richard's News

Liberal political analyst for ABC and CNN Donna Brazile tweeted with much frustration this morning that her health insurance premium went up....Naturally, it didn’t take conservatives long to explain it to her:

I can’t help but find it hilarious that liberals got exactly what they asked for and are now mystified by the results.

"I’m the President of the United States. I’m not the Emperor."

Political Clown Parade

"Everyone knows how comedically droll Mark Steyn is. He’s one of my favorite writers on the Intertoobs. In his piece entitled, “Achieve Ye This Goal”, Steyn eviscerates the current occupant of the Oval Office.
It started off as a response to Peter Kirsanow’s two-paragraph post at National Review in which Kirsanow wrote:
“As if to dispel recent assertions that his ego has grown even larger since the November election, during yesterday’s Google fireside chat the president answered a question about his administration’s deportation of illegal immigrants as follows: ‘This is something I’ve struggled with throughout my presidency. I’m the president of the United States. I’m not the emperor of the United States.’”
“Jay Carney denies that at the time the president made that statement someone was standing just behind his left shoulder, holding a crown and whispering, ‘All glory is fleeting…’”
Is it just me or was that a Grade A Prime Zinger? Yes. It. Was.
Of course, when I heard that our bat-eared, abysmal, perfumed potentate had made that ridiculous statement I laughed my ass off and got to work creating a banner for this blog that was in keeping with the Black Narcissus’ impression of himself.
This guy just doesn’t grasp the roles and responsibilities of the office of the presidency......"

Happy Presidents Day, Mr. President

February 18th, 2013

Dear Mr. President,

On this Presidents Day, a day we give honor to the special men elected to lead our country down the path to greatness, I was thinking about a few things;of the state of the world around us and about you, Mr.Obama.

First, with the entire Middle East looking likely to explode into more chaos and possibly creating a vacuum to which radical Islam could very easily slip, dragging a quarter of the world back to the 12th century and the possibility of our oil supply being threatened, don't you think it might be about time we start sinking some drill holes in the ground there Big Guy?

The clock is ticking. Or do you plan on the same stupid course of non-action dictated by a few big buck environmental special interest groups with virtually no real power save a battery of litigious wild haired lawyers and the large megaphone of their parrot propagandist in the media.

It’s time to grow a pair and tell the windmill fanboys and the tree hugger crowd to stand down for awhile and work on getting their Green Technologies to a point of affordability to business and the public. In short, tell them to sit down and STFU till we get through the present problems and they get their act together. We'll get back to them. Putt a few golf balls around the Oval Office and think about it, Sir.

But my main concern, and the real reason for this letter, is the pictures I continue to see of you with your feet on the White House Furniture.

I know you have very little respect for the American people, and as has been made clear to us over the last four years, no respect for the constitution. And obviously you have forgotten that house you temporarily occupy and the furniture contained within belong to the American people; you hold no respect for our stuff either. Somewhere along the way, didn't someone explain the historic desk at which you now sit as you read this letter?  It's a valued gift of appreciation from a British Queen, not something to rest your skinny little ass on!

That very desk has witnessed great speeches written on and given from it, national tragedy and personal triumph, the course of western history changed. Many tough  decisions made and sometimes painfully grieved over, the discussions of sending men into war and of  planning for peace. Beneath it, President's children played as their daddy worked.

So, show some respect for America for a change, Mr. President,
and KINDLY KEEP YOUR FEET OFF OUR FURNITURE!

Have a Happy Presidents Day, Mr. President
Un-Sentimentally Yours,

Diogenes Sarcastica

At  least we know one piece of furniture won't be abused!

I'm Sure This Comes as No Surprise

Leading Geneticist: Human Intelligence is Slowly Declining

Would you be surprised to hear that the human race is slowly becoming dumber, and dumber? Despite our advancements over the last tens or even hundreds of years, some ‘experts’ believe that humans are losing cognitive capabilities and becoming more emotionally unstable. One Stanford University researcher and geneticist, Dr. Gerald Crabtree, believes that our intellectual decline as a race has much to do with adverse genetic mutations. But there is more to it than that.
According to Crabtree, our cognitive and emotional capabilities are fueled and determined by the combined effort of thousands of genes. If a mutation occurred in any of of these genes, which is quite likely, then intelligence or emotional stability can be negatively impacted.
“I would wager that if an average citizen from Athens of 1000 BC were to appear suddenly among us, he or she would be among the brightest and most intellectually alive of our colleagues and companions, with a good memory, a broad range of ideas, and a clear-sighted view of important issues. Furthermore, I would guess that he or she would be among the most emotionally stable of our friends and colleagues,”
Darwin’s theory of ‘survival of the fittest’ is less applicable in today’s society, therefore those with better genes will not necessarily dominate in society as they would have in the past.......Read More

To anyone not blind or deaf,  and breathing normally for the last 10 years or so, this should come as no surprise.....

Egyptian Human Rights Activist: ‘Your Support For Muslim Brotherhood Has Led to Gang Rape, Torture & Murder’

From Bahieddin Hassan’s (Director of the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies) open letter to Barack Obama as published in Egyptian weekly Al-Ahram:

To President Barack Obama:
"Three years ago, I had the honour of meeting you in the White House as part of a delegation of some 50 human rights defenders from around the world. I was one of three rights defenders who were asked to speak during the 40 minutes out of the 90-minute meeting during which you and your advisors were present.
When it was my turn to address those gathered, I urged you to consider the gulf between the content of your speech to the Arab and Islamic worlds in Cairo in June 2009 and the reality of American policy in February 2010, noting that they seemed separated by much more than simply a few months. In Cairo, you promised to stand by peoples of the region and engage with them, but eight months later your administration's policy was to turn its back on the people and work instead with local regimes.
Rape, which is recognized internationally as a weapon of war, is now used in Egypt as a political weapon to deter opponents from gathering in Tahrir Square. According to multiple testimonies in recent weeks, the assaults differ radically from the forms of sexual harassment prevalent in Egypt in previous years. According to victims and video footage, female protesters are separated from the demonstrations, taken to other locations, and raped, in what appear to be organised, previously planned attacks. The faces of the assailants show no signs of emotion or sexual excitement. The objective appears to be to break the political will of the victims through profound degradation, whether they are raped, sexually mauled, or stripped entirely of their clothes — if they manage to escape the mob. In more than one case, a knife was used to penetrate the victims’ vaginas, and multiple women underwent hysterectomies after being assaulted. In this context, we can understand the attempted rape of a 70-year-old woman known for her political affiliation as well as the sexual assault of a number of men.
Mr President, when I spoke with you in 2010, I asked why the US administration condemns repressive practices in Iran while remaining silent when Arab regimes engage in the same violations. Over recent months, statements by your administration have similarly failed to address violations and have even blamed protesters and victims for violence committed in the context of demonstrations. Indeed, the stances of your administration have given political cover to the current authoritarian regime in Egypt and allowed it to fearlessly implement undemocratic policies and commit numerous acts of repression.
Is it a coincidence that the statements issued by your administration reflect the same political rhetoric used by the new authoritarian regime in Egypt? But when these statements come from the world’s superpower — the one most able to have a positive or negative impact on policies in Egypt and the region, not to mention the biggest donor and material supporter of the Egyptian regime for the past 35 years — they become lethal ammunition, offering political protection to perpetrators of murder, torture, brutality and rape.
Please, ask officials with your administration to stop talking about Egypt for a while, at least until we can bury our dead, comfort their grieving families, treat the victims of rape and torture, find the disappeared, and read the wills of a new generation of young people who plan not for their weddings but for their funerals."

The Man Who Scares The Hell Out of the Left

Yid with Lid
Repost from 2/27/12

The song may say you only hurt the one you love, but in politics you hurt the one who gives you nightmares and Marco Rubio makes democrats wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat screaming at the top of their progressive lungs. Anybody who articulates conservatism as well as Rubio, who ties it to the American dream and presents it as the best hope for the average Joe in this country would frighten the Democrats. Rubio however, has two other significant and fear inducing things going for him.

First of all he is of Cuban decent, and being Hispanic means (to liberals) he is supposed to be on the their side. Progressives like to place people in groups, it makes it easier for them to take away their humanity and individualism. By destroying their neat and pretty picture of an Hispanic, Rubio scares the progressives.

Rubio's other threat is that he lives in a swing state with 29 electoral votes, 11% of the total needed to become president (270). Obviously that is a major chunk of electoral college votes (that went to Obama in 08 & 2012).

Put it all together and one realizes that the progressives are "scream for mommy in the middle of the night" frightened about the Florida Senator, which is way beginning with last October rumors began to spread about him that he wasn't really a "natural born US citizen."

It is the contention of these nut-jobs that because Rubio's parents were not yet Citizens of the US when the future politician was born, he is not a natural born US Citizen.

Now the Democratic smear machine is making hay about the fact that Marco Rubio used to be a Mormon. Rubio was baptized into the Mormon church when he was 8 and “remained active in the faith for a number of years,” attending LDS youth groups and walking to church most Sundays. Rubio left Mormonism to become a Catholic “a few years later,” and he got his first Communion when he was 13, in 1984.

Just like the "natural born citizen" questions raised ,the real issue is the thought of a conservative, Cuban-American from Florida on a GOP ticket gives the progressives nightmares. Just as they tried to do with Sarah Palin four years ago, the progressives are going to do their best to destroy Marco Rubio. The question is, will we let them!

Jamie Foxx goes Full Biden

After recently calling Barack Obama "Our Lord and Savior" portraying a ruthless killer of white people and saying publicly  with all the glee of a Klansman at a cross burning  “I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that?”, Foxx spews this little gem at the NAACP Image awards  last week: "Black people are the most talented people in the world."

Mr. Foxx, are we talking about real talent like Westley Snipes and Samuel L. Jackson and Eddie Murphy who constantly put out dogs no one sees, or the state of black music full of talented rap musicians that can not sing or play an instrument. Or maybe you mean a foul mouthed idiots like Chris Rock, who also comes off a bit of a bigot like yourself.  Don't confuse popularity and wealth for talent. Academy Awards and Grammys  aren't given for talent, Mr. Foxx.  If you don't believe me, look back at the last few years for the proof.   Same goes for the Nobels, know what I'm sayin'?

It's real hard to sometime tell if you're a graduate of the "Louis Farrakhan School of Public Relations" or the "Joe Biden School of Public Speaking."

It must be a real job shaving that over inflated head of yours every morning, eh?

Obama to Hold Shooting Exhibition

Plans To Shoot Apple Off Debbie Wasserman-Schultz’s Head

Amid all the fervor over a staged photo of the President firing a shotgun at Camp David, and all the photoshop fun that followed despite the warn to the contrary, the White House has arranged for a publicized skeet shoot where the President will attempt to shoot an apple off the head of DNC Chairwomen,  Debbie Wasserman-Schultz,  using his own personal Benelli 12 gauge shotgun and number 6 shot. According to press secretary Jay Carney, “This will prove once and for all that the President loves guns and hates Jews!"

Wasserman-Schultz
Displaying confidence in her President's ability to knock an apple off her head with just one shotgun blast,  Mrs. Wasserman-Schultz has been combing supermarkets in Ft. Lauderdale Florida to find the largest apple she can buy. “I want a big one so the photo-op will be more dramatic.” According to various rumors, Wasserman-Schultz has told one of her aides to paint a rather large watermelon and disguise it as an apple!

“I know. Using a watermelon is sorta racist, but I really want my President to look good when the cameras roll,” said Wasserman-Schultz when confronted about the apple substitution.

Sources say the President will attempt to knock the apple off at about 35 yards using his own 12 gauge shotgun equipped with a modified choke and number six turkey shot. Part of the viewing public that will witness the first ever shooting exhibition by a sitting US President are the ambassadors from Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon who openly are rooting for a missed shot.

A non-deterred Wasserman-Schultz proudly beamed about being the center of attention once more since the elections in November and shared with those around her how it reminded her of college days at NYU…”Gosh! I can fondly recall being the center for Delta Ki frat boys for their skeet shoot. Now, those boys could really shoot!”

Obama mused that using turkey shot would be appropriate.
