How do you know when a sitting Democrat member of congress is in big reelection trouble? Well of course, they drag out the same old "Republicans are gonna kill Grandma"

Senator Patty Murray and her tennis shoes are in a tight race for reelection. In yet another tired example in which Democrats strain to conjure up a nonexistent GOP plan regarding Social Security and Medicare to save their sorry asses, Murray tweeted that if Senate Republicans win control of the Senate, they plan to end Social Security and Medicare.

Republicans plan to end Social Security and Medicare if they take back the Senate.

Washington seniors who have spent their lives paying into these programs deserve better—and I’ll keep fighting to make sure they get it.

But as evidence, her staff can only point to statements by a pair of Senate Republicans that have earned little support among their colleagues. The presumptive Senate Republican leader explicitly rejected the idea. Moreover, in both cases, the senators insisted that they were not trying to eliminate the programs but instead bolster their financial underpinnings and eliminate the double-tax on Social Security benefits.

The bullshit tweet earned Murray Four Pinocchios from The Washington Post. 

"When Social Security was established in 1935, most Republican lawmakers supported it — but more Republicans than Democrats opposed it. When Medicare was created in 1965, slightly more Republicans opposed the new program as written than supported it because they knew it would explode the cost of medical care (which it did almost immediately) and proposed congress look at other options. In campaign attacks, Democrats often conjure up nonexistent plans by Republicans to terminate or somehow undermine the programs. In 2011, then-Vice President Biden accused House Republicans of proposing a plan “eliminating Medicare in the next 10 years.” That wasn’t true, either....."

Now comes the latest iteration of this campaign attack. But it’s just as empty as the previous ones. That smoke Washington State residents smell regionally is not from forest fires, its from Patty Murray's pants catching fire.

J6 Democracy Saving Kabuki Theater Postponed Because Can't Compete with Hurricane.

Bennie & Liz announced the postponement of today's scheduled Jan 6th committee televised hearing due to Hurricane Ian. Wait, Wait! The super-urgent work of saving Democracy must be postponed because of a hurricane a thousand miles away? Well, Yeah.

It turns out it was more than just optics about holding an overtly political committee hearing while parts of the country face a natural disaster. PBS NewsHour Correspondent Lisa Desjardins reported the January 6 Committee did not like the fact cable news coverage would be mainly focused on the hurricane.

Guess we can't much blame them for their decision. The committee have had a tough enough time competing for an audience with "The Days of Our Lives" and reruns of 'Jeopardy'.  Bless their Hearts, their main audience are mainly liberal 'blue check' pundits, over excitable soft skull MSNBC conspiracy freaks, and late night comedy writers. 

As they say in show biz, "The Show Must Go On!" But for now they will revel in their own self-importance, and the search for the truth can wait for better ratings.....

A Good Monday Morning

A Quick Glance In The Rear View Mirror

For a little background noise Thursday night, a documentary from 2015 was on television while I was reading and enjoying a nice bottle of wine having a spot of tea. The upshot to the program was that a dinosaur hunter found not one, but two civilizations in the same burial ground area; one from around 10,000 years ago and the other from 5,000 years ago. Forgive me for not paying closer attention.

The gist of the documentary was a group of scientists proposed the one civilization that originated around 10,000 years ago was driven from their lush homes in Africa after a couple thousand years due to drought and climatic change that caused the sand of the Sahara to encroach into the area they were living in. The little fishes and hippos moved on as well as all the other life that was flourishing. Signs of their existence are unmistakable as is their abrupt departure.

Fast forward a few thousand years and the Sahara again retreated and life again returned to the region. A new people moved in and the animals returned. But then again the desert moved into their territory thousands of years later pushing them out, leaving only graves and small traces of human life. History repeated.

The point. The people ten thousand years ago and five thousand years ago had nothing to do with the climate. They lived and died much like the animals they hunted. No cars, no planes, no carbon footprint of note. Yet the climate first provided and then took away their living space, twice in spans of five thousand years. Worldwide you will find similar stories, such as Sumeria. The Earth and climate giveth and taketh away. Our climate similarly has had some variation in the past few thousand years to present times, but it is nothing that we can control. We are less than fleas on the dog of the Earth. Otherwise you would have to believe that these prehistoric people could have, if they were only as wise as us, altered the climate five and then ten thousand years ago to control the Earth’s temperature and weather patterns.

To believe that is the height of arrogance, the acme of ignorance and the apex of audacity.

But, now comes the loony left that unless they are the truly brainless (which many are) understand climate as a tool to push for a socialist agenda for power and control; nothing more. I am sad that so many are fooled, especially the young who fall for this insanity and have lost the ability to reason.

The climate has and always will change. But only the fool thinks that mankind*  has mastery over it.

* This word was not intentional used to trigger the more sensitive of readers. But, in the event it does, Good. FU!

California Legalizes 'Human Composting'

Soon, Californians will have another alterative for those who shuffle off this mortal coil.

State sanctioned Human Composting.

SF Daily - Assembly Bill 351, signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday, will allow residents to choose human composting, or natural organic reduction (NOR), after death starting in 2027. The author of the bill, Democratic Assembly member Cristina Garcia, says the threat of climate change motivated the new law.

“AB 351 will provide an additional option for California residents that is more environmentally-friendly and gives them another choice for burial. 

With climate change and sea-level rise as very real threats to our environment, this is an alternative method of final disposition that won’t contribute emissions into our atmosphere. 

I look forward to continuing my legacy to fight for clean air by using my reduced remains to plant a tree."

The California bill bans the combining of multiple peoples' remains, unless they are family, but unlike Colorado, California is not explicitly banning the sale of the soil or its use growing food for human consumption. Governor Newsom signed the bill without comment.

It is said the news was well received by the California cat population.

Some Victims are More Equal Than Others.

"For over two years, we heard a long list of murder victims shouted on TV every day. I know by heart the names and murder circumstances of Breonna Taylor, Trayvon Martin, Ahmaud Arbury, George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, and many others.

There's new trend a little different. I couldn’t help noticing that some particularly gruesome recent killings have been met with a strangely subdued reaction by the mainstream media. Which is weird, because "silence is violence......."

"........The last two years of “building back better” have brought us an ocean of blood, a veritable murderpalooza raging across the country. Innocent victims of every race and age group have been slaughtered by a relatively small group of young men who always seem to have long arrest records, are newly released from prison thanks to Democrat-funded DAs, and are feeling rested and ready to kill again. Or just crush some kids to death as they march in a Christmas parade.

A mountain of skulls rises up in the public consciousness, but you must not look at it or draw attention to it. To do so is a crime worse than the killing. The lunatic gods must be appeased by daily, yet invisible, human sacrifice, and the mountain of skulls must grow much higher before they are sated. They’re saving a spot at the top for your skull, and those of your children, and your grandchildren. Nothing will stop the terror until its future victims demand it stop.

If It Goes Off the Rails, The Dems Will Own It.

Most Americans are just waking up to news of a pending railway worker strike right around the corner, the first strike in 30 years, that could paralyze supply chains and cripple the economy. It's estimated a strike starting this Friday could cost the U.S. economy over $2 billion a day while disrupting agricultural transports and consumer goods. This is an issue that may hurt Democrats badly in the fall midterm elections, because the situation is completely avoidable if the Biden Administration and the Democratic controlled Congress takes decisive action.

Those few in the Biden Administration that haven't been spending their time blow-holing about MAGA terrorist or climate change have been leading negotiations on a deal,(that should really bolster your confidence things will work out 🙄). Yet they have failed to avoid a strike.

If this strike happens, Democrats will own it. Politico reported that "President Joe Biden has been directly in touch with unions and railroad companies to try to avert a potential strike that is already disrupting freight and passenger service across the country, according to a White House official."

Biden Labor Secretary Marty Walsh and Trans Secretary Pete Buttgieg, who couldn't get potholes filled, have failed also to convince the key leg of the Democratic Party stool, union leaders, to not tank Democrats chances to retain control of the House by striking just before the midterm elections.

NB - Harvard University announced Monday that its far-left Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at the Kennedy School of Government had inked former CNN host and failed liberal media apologist Brian Stelter as its Fall 2022 Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellow.

Harvard explained that Stelter’s role will consist of “convening a series of discussions about threats to democracy and the range of potential responses from the news media.” In other words, it’ll consist of discussing why Fox News, conservative media, and conservative Americans are a threat to both the country and national security.

MSNBC has been very open about their extreme leftism lately. Yes, lately is the word. Before that they tried to claim they were merely left, not extreme left. But now they have declared civil war against half of America, have the most racist person on television every Saturday, advocate single party far left rule on the airwaves, and now argue that only leftist judges are real judges.

It’s called tyranny.

It’s not just Trump or Trump supporters or MAGA politicians and voters but it’s judges who were appointed by Trump that they want to purge from society. And even more, to disallow ANY Republican appointing or apparently even being judges.

And when Judge Aileen Cannon Does The Orange Man Bad a Solid with a Special Master Order the left go ballistic.

The Judge:

A future indictment, based to any degree on property that ought to be returned, would result in reputational harm of a decidedly different order of magnitude."

Elie Mystal seems to have no problem the FBI dudes panty raid on Melania Trump's Lingerie closet sniffing around for "evidence".  But I'm confident Elie is probably the kind that wears women's panties rather than in to smelling them.
