Yes, They Let Me Back In.......

Late this afternoon, KLM set your Beloved Editrix down softly at Hartsfield-Jackson just in time for a delightful early dinner with my cousin Olivia who I promised some time to visit on my way back home. She gave me the use of her quaint little digital device, an Apple they call them I believe, to signal my return safe and sound. (I do not travel with personal devices, save business trips).  

I most certainly hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas. I just read all the comments left on the last post I made before leaving.

Thank You All Very Much!

Just being off the digital grid for a week was refreshing beyond my expectation. I only took my unlocked travel phone to confirm flight times and reservations for the trip back.

I cannot express what five days and nights, unencumbered by the pressure of business and worries of the world, spent with only the kind of love your own blood can give, can do for the soul. And I have been  blessed with it in abundance.

I'll be home tomorrow night, and soon resume posting. But only after a little time with the one who keeps me warm at night.....

You see, I was  summoned by one much more powerful than I to gather at their home for Christmas.  

After carefully laid plans, this will be the first time in many years my siblings and I have all been free enough to spend Christmas with our Father together.  This will be a special Holiday we've all looked forward to, and all need.

I know my absence will be taxing for some, but you can be comforted knowing it will be only a short time.

So, I take this opportunity to say to all the thousands of daily DMF readers, those who daily participate as well as those who just lurk,  Warm Wishes to You For A Very Merry Christmas.

Drag Queens are the Democrats’ New Mascot

Inviting a drag queen to celebrate respect for marriage is like dancing about architecture, to borrow a phrase. Yet here we are:

Joe Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act flanked by Kamala Harris, Jill Biden, and gay drag queen story hour performer Marti Cummings.

Cummings is the symptom, not the disease. There are always fringe people out on, well, the fringes. Although we didn’t use to invite them to the White House to celebrate what might be humanity’s oldest institution. It’s niche entertainment, to say the least. In fact, there’s been such a rush to normalize this particular fetish — even make it “family-friendly” — that actual pedos are being glamourized.

Why the sudden and very official respect? 

It has nothing to do with gay rights. It has a lot to do with putting women in their place. The Left is waging a war on women, on genuine femininity and all of its unique strengths. And they do it, in part, by raising up obnoxious (and often just plain noxious) pantomime females as “real” women.

Progressive women take the abuse, too, because they’ve been conditioned to believe that they deserve it. There’s enough battered spouse syndrome going on here to turn that 90-minute Farrah Fawcett TV movie into the next Yellowstone.  Arguably worse, the Left has purposely conflated a mental health issue — gender dysphoria — with a civil rights struggle. That makes a mockery of natural rights, which is exactly their goal. And why else would they have no objection to biological men playing women's sports?

If rights consist of whatever crazy notion you have in the moment, or whatever reality your mental issue causes you to deny, then there are no rights.

Felix Dzerzhinsky is remembered as the architect of the Soviet police state and intelligence services.  While totalitarians (and wanna-be totalitarians) invariably rule by fear and violence, Dzerzhinsky had the vision to go farther, to co-opt those opponents he could not find or destroy by direct means. He created an entirely false opposition underground (the “Trust”). Exiles and domestic opponents of the new Soviet regime thought they were working together in secret when in fact every word, every plan was known (and sometimes planted or directed) by Dzerzhinsky himself. The regime controlled its opposition.

Some have come to believe something like 'The Trust' is already operational in the USA. The permanent (actual) ruling authoritarians allow the appearance of opposition solely to let the masses think they have a say, to out potentially dangerous opponents, and to direct opposition energies into harmless activity that does not really interfere with the rulers.

The GOP presidential wins in the last 40 years have occasionally been bothersome but never a mortal threat to the rulers’ goals. The growth of government, the vision of technocratic rule, and the ideal of an unaccountable elite move forward regardless of electoral outcomes.

One recent glimpse at ‘that man behind the curtain’ is that “experts” who endorse broad government action on climate or COVID suffer no consequences for being spectacularly and harmfully wrong nor for viciously squelching the real scientists. No “journalists” who reached embarrassing depths of sycophancy with the obviously bogus Steele dossier, the very real Hunter Biden laptop, and the absurdly mendacious St. Anthony Fauci have been fired for professional incompetence. Some got Pulitzers.

The rulers endorse infanticide rather than some 14- or 15-week limit on abortion, not out of some airy notion of women’s rights (which easily disappeared when transgender became au courant), but solely to make the point that traditional values and morality cannot be allowed to intrude on policymaking. The rulers’ hostility to the first two amendments in the Bill of Rights is not just to silence and disarm opponents but to establish the idea that there are no inherent rights, only permissions, and privileges issued by the state.

The ruling party actively cheered the 2016 nomination of DJT on the theory he would be the most beatable. That he actually won was a significant but temporary setback for the rulers. Like some primitive life form responding to a painful stimulus, the permanent party not only successfully reorganized its front group as the anti-Trump party, but its media has conditioned American suburbanites to viscerally reject the MAGA caricature (depressingly often with help from Donald Trump himself).

All other issues about policy or candidate quality have been pushed aside. There is only anti-MAGA. In the new political order, voters will be able (a) to endorse the rulers by voting Democratic, (b) vote for more conventional Republican candidates who will pretend or fail to oppose the rulers, or (c) vent with pre-selected MAGA candidates who will increasingly have no real chance (especially given the dubious new voting systems in place). Our rulers thus magnanimously let us feel good about our wide menu of futile choices. Some Democrats will even be allowed to criticize members of the ultra-wealthy Davoisie in a bit of old-time social justice theater.

Our political debates and labels are deliberately distorted such that “the right” (or what passes for it) is somehow close to fascism, whereas “the left” is seen to be motivated by the nobler residue of good intentions behind socialism. In fact, fascism is just another path for totalitarians when economic class warfare is politically ineffective.

The inexorable blob of media, academia, bureaucracy, and low-IQ groupthink seems like some destructive volcanic sludge rolling downhill to wipe out the real and the free, a threat organized and unleashed by some crazed evil committee of Bond villains. 

Or maybe they're just paranoid and wrong about all this.

And one of the biggest ways they got away with it was propaganda and silencing dissent. And one of the biggest parts of that was big tech. And of course, Dr. Anthony Evil Fauci.

And you KNOW they have the receipts now. And Elon Musk is going to release them.

Call me Ishmael. Some years ago - it's none of your business how many - being mostly broke, and bored with the land part of the world, I thought I would sail around a little and look at the watery part of the world. I'm probably the most mentally healthy person you know. Whenever I feel my face getting grim; whenever it is a damp, drizzly November in my soul; whenever I find myself accidentally reading the ads in the window of funeral homes, and following funeral processions through traffic; and especially when I'm hangry, and only my extremely strong moral principles stop me from deliberately going out in public and methodically slapping people's earbuds out - then I know it's high time to get to sea, ASAP. This is my substitute for getting in fights. I'm too mentally healthy to kill myself; I quietly and considerately put myself on a ship and sail myself away instead. There is nothing surprising in this. Everyone feels exactly the same way, and if they don't, they're lying.

You think I'm lying? Exhibit A: a city. Go to your local coastal city. Everyone is looking at the water. They drive over from other neighborhoods just to come to the water. They make a day of it. They're not doing anything, they're just staring at the ocean. Why? Is it because they all work office jobs? No! Here come more of them! They cram themselves up to the edge of the water and stare at it. WHAT DO THEY WANT? WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING AT. Perhaps the ships themselves all packed together, each one with several compasses on it, creates some kind of critical mass - all of the small compass-magnets on all the ships in the harbor combining into one really big magnetic field - and the people get sucked into the field and trapped there. That's science.

Exhibit 2: the countryside with lakes in it. Every path you follow in the countryside brings you to some water, such as a stream. There is magic in it. If you take your standard fool with ADHD dissociating in the middle of a supermarket and put them outside and give them a shove, they'll automatically lead you to water (if there is any nearby) (try it). Another good experiment to try is to get lost in the great American desert in a caravan supplied with a metaphysical professor! Try it in the great American desert at home!

Shannon Epstein vs. The Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Deputies 🤣🤣🤣

It was 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and 25-year-old Shannon Epstein had boarded a Spirit Airlines flight from New Orleans to New Jersey.  She assumed the family seated near her were Latino, so she asked them if they were “smuggling cocaine,” which as icebreakers go was incredibly strange to say the least.  Also, discretion is probably a key part of the drug mule game, so you wouldn't blab your business to some random asshole on your flight if you were. 

As it turned out, this family wasn’t in fact “smuggling cocaine” on Thanksgiving, and our Jersey Nancy Drew just grew angrier and more disruptive. According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Jason Rivarde, airline workers decided to remove Epstein from the plane, which had already started to taxi to the runway.

You can imagine how pissed the passengers were when Epstein’s tantrum caused the plane to U-turn to the gate. Back at the gate Epstein refused to leave the plane, and when sheriff deputies approached her, she became what was described as “extremely combative.”

As the Times-Picayune report described it:

In the scuffle, she injured six deputies, biting one on the arm and breaking the skin, and kicking another in the groin, Rivarde said. They were treated there by paramedics.

Wow, what a beatdown! And no one even asked her to wear a mask. 

Here’s the big twist in the story: While Epstein was whooping the cops’ asses, she insisted they were the ones in for a world of pain. They would lose their jobs or even wind up in jail, perhaps for bruising her kicking foot with their groin. She boasted that she knew powerful people: She’s Chris Christie’s niece, damnit! And he’s friends with former president and coup plotter Donald Trump. Oh, heads are gonna roll. 

It took seven deputies to handcuff Epstein to a wheelchair and forcibly transport her to the airport security office. During her ride to airport security, Epstein continued to shout obscenities and spit on the deputies. She also tried to bite them. She was booked with six counts of battery on a police officer, three of disturbing the peace, one of resisting arrest by force and one of remaining (on the airplane) after forbidden. That last charge is brutal: "You wouldn’t leave after we told you to get the fuck out.”

Epstein posted $10,750 bail and was released from the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center. None of the reporting on this incident suggests that Epstein was intoxicated or otherwise impaired. She may just be a real asshole. That’s not much of a defense, no matter who your uncle is.
