The View From the Far End of the Sofa

Now that the spectacle of the Kavanaugh hearings, Part 2: “Tales From the Yearbook” and the grilling of a Supreme Court Nominee about high school fart jokes are over, it becomes obvious that the Democrats have overplayed their #MeToo hand. In their zeal to derail the nomination of a highly qualified judge, they played to the lowest denominator and seemed swept up in the frenzy of that movement and they may have inadvertently decimated the #MeToo movement. In its original incarnation, it was a movement about sexual assault and violence. In its current incarnation, it has morphed into an ugly catch-all for leftist complaints, now encompassing pay disparities, power structures, whisper networks, and intense personal hatred of white males with power.

As this latest round of the Kavanaugh hearings shows, reason, argument and even the law are outmoded. It has become an orgy of outrage. All men are nasty predators and the accuser is to believed no matter how preposterous, unsubstantiated,or uncorroborated the accusation is, witnesses to the contrary be damned. And if all men are nasty predators who carry a presumption of guilt, that makes all women victims. The feminist of old would cringe if alive today to see their gender relegated back to the role of victim…by women themselves.

Guilt cannot be presumed simply for carrying the Y chromosome. Awkward advances and clumsy moves are now defined as sexual assault. Sexual assault is not some guy coming onto you, and proclaiming it over Facebook does not make it so. Neither is “abuse” regret after the fact. And did anyone notice no one followed up on the fact she herself admitted to drinking on the occasion of her accusation?

After yesterday's testimony, yes I'm of the belief Christine Ford may have been, sometime and somewhere, a victim of an attempted assault that she may have stored away in her unconscious for decades. I am also equally convinced her attacker was not Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Dems Resort to Use Of Federal Court to Stop Kavanaugh Vote

With the media and democrats and their grandstanding creepy porn lawyer friends having turned the Kavanaugh Conformation into the circus, and with little left but grasping at *straws (*not legal in some states) have turned to the one thing they have left, leftist federal judges. According to Politico, back-bench junior Senator and Chuck Schumer toady, Jeff Merkley (Leftist-Ore.) on Wednesday announced that he's seeking an injunction in federal court designed to stop a final vote on Brett Kavanaugh, asserting an obstruction of his constitutional duty to advise and consent on nominees. Kinda makes you wonder if Jeff Merkley has ever read the constitution......
"Merkley's filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia comes as Senate Republicans vow to push ahead with a vote on President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee in the coming days — and hours before a landmark hearing slated with Christine Blasey Ford, who has alleged a decades-old sexual assault by Kavanaugh. Merkley's bid for an injunction hinges on the Senate's constitutional duty to provide advice and consent on nominees and charges that he's been prevented from fulfilling that due to the withholding of records on Kavanaugh's past service in the George W. Bush administration.
“The events of the past ten days have only underscored how critical it is that the Senate conduct a careful and comprehensive review of a nominee before giving its consent,” Merkley told POLITICO in a statement. “The unprecedented obstruction of the Senate’s advice and consent obligation is an assault on the separation of powers and a violation of the Constitution. The President and Mitch McConnell want to ram through this nomination come hell or high water, without real advice or informed consent by the Senate, but that’s just not how our Constitution works.”
Ford's allegation is not directly cited in Merkley's filing, which is unlikely to succeed in stopping the vote. But the entrance of the Oregonian, who's indicated interest in a 2020 presidential bid, into the Kavanaugh debate further heightens the politically charged atmosphere shrouding the nomination. Merkley delivered a 15-hour floor speech last year in an ultimately failed bid to stop the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch."
Unprecedented obstruction of the Senate’s advice and consent obligation indeed! Unfounded, unprovable 36 year old allegations by women who no one will back up?

A Massive Overdose of Liberal Double-Think and Hypocrisy.

As Kavanaugh's accuser's ramp up their protests and complaints about the terms of engagement, through their rhetoric and demands they demonstrate ever more clearly the reality behind the agenda of their supporters and mouthpieces: the totalitarian drive for absolute, unaccountable, and unopposable control over lives, words, and actions,  and the threat of personal destruction of any who dare to stand in their way or expresses the slightest criticism of the narrative and code of behavior and thought processes that they would impose on society.

This is a movement that, on the one hand, claims to empower women to live full lives but that at the same time treats them as such untouchable fragile vessels, who will irreparably fall apart unless they can fully control their interactions with the world around them. A movement that arrogates to themselves infallible possession of “truth”, asserts control over defining the standards for evaluating their truth claims, and enforces this “truth” on everybody else just because they say so.  They will use all means necessary, including intimidation and force, to silence and destroy any dissent, and by projection labeling any such dissent as oppression in good Orwellian fashion.

A movement that claims unprecedented authority to dictate to the members and staff of the U.S. Senate the entire structure and rules for their witness, seeking to overturn centuries of covenant and jurisprudence for judgment of public accusations, and in its place, seeking to control who can speak to them, what can be spoken in the hearing or by any person outside the hearing in any setting, while at the same time being granted untrammeled power to tell their narrative and to bully and silence any contrary view. Twisting historical rules and custom into a pretzel. A movement that would spread fear and exalt anger far and wide in our land to create a climate of suspicion and distrust between individuals, a world in which a vocal minority with media hegemony can dominate conversation and though  manipulation, create a false “consensus” and “settled truth”.

It’s time to for the Republican members of the Judiciary committee and Senate leadership to start playing hardball and stand up for, if nothing else, simple decency and fair process and civilized behavior.

Yale Law School Cancels Classes So Future Michael Avenattis Can Yell at Brett Kavanaugh

http://www.trbimg.com/img-5ba96523/turbine/hc-1537828127-wlf1n7bhw5-snap-image/750/750x422
Dianne Lake, a second-year Yale Law student, helped plan Monday’s sit in at the Sterling Law Building

According to The Cut, Yale has cancelled classes at Yale Law so students can protest against the 'very real threat' to America, Brett Kavanaugh. These future lawyers of America have been protesting both on campus and in Washington to convince lawmakers to vote against confirming Kavanaugh, so the school cancelled more than 30 scheduled classes Monday morning in anticipation of widespread absences. More than a hundred students traveled to D.C. to protest at the Supreme Court and to meet with Senators about the nomination. The increased protest activity is owed to another sexual assault allegation by Deborah Ramirez, who told The New Yorker that Kavanaugh had assaulted her.

“As a community, we are here today to show that we take allegations of sexual assault and harassment seriously,” said Diane Lake, a second-year law student, according to the Hartford Courant. “We are here today to discuss the very real threat that Brett Kavanaugh poses to this country.” Yale Law School Dean Heather Gerken issued a statement supporting the students’ calls for a thorough investigation into the allegations against Kavanaugh. From the Courant:
"Many of our faculty and students have taken actions to raise these concerns about the confirmation process. “Students have worked with the Law School administration and faculty so that the community can come together as a whole to discuss this important moment in our country’s history."
Now I may be mistaken, but I thought law schools taught the basic right of all, that you are innocent until proven guilty. Seems Yale Law, class of 2018, have put politics above the law, a sad thing indeed, and have condemned the Judge with only the word of a person who has already shone herself to be a liar, and no one seems willing to backup her sketchy story. So, I offer to you some unsolicited advice to take to heart.......do not trust a lawyer with Yale Law on their resume from this year forward.....

It's No Longer About The Truth

NKT - The New Yorker’s Jane Mayer appeared on CBS’s “This Morning” on Monday to discuss her reporting regarding Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh exposing himself to Deborah Ramirez while a freshman at Yale and admitted that corroborating sources to the incident did not actually witness the event.

On Sunday, the New Yorker reported:
“Ramirez said that, when both she and Kavanaugh were freshmen at Yale, she was invited by a friend on the women’s soccer team to a dorm-room party. She recalled that the party took place in a suite at Lawrance Hall, in the part of Yale known as Old Campus, and that a small group of students decided to play a drinking game together. “We were sitting in a circle,” she said. “People would pick who drank.” Ramirez was chosen repeatedly, she said, and quickly became inebriated. At one point, she said, a male student pointed a gag plastic penis in her direction. Later, she said, she was on the floor, foggy and slurring her words, as that male student and another stood nearby. (Ramirez identified the two male onlookers, but, at her request, The New Yorker is not naming them.)”
CBS News’ John Dickerson asked Mayer about where the corroborating witness to Ramirez’s allegations came from and where he got the information about the alleged incident from. “He remembers it from from he was in the same dorm, same little building on Yale’s old campus,” Mayer said.

“But did he see it?” Dickerson asked Mayer.

“No, as I’ve said, he heard it from someone that was there,” Mayer responded. Mayer said that her source was sure of his memory of the event, but CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell followed up, “But, as you admit, he was not at the party.”

Joe Biden Plans Vice Presidential Library

Biden Takes Part-time Job to Raise Funds for New Library

Middle Finger News Service Wire:

MFNS - Wilmington Del.- Unnamed sources close to Joe Biden have told MFNS the former VP has decided to build his own Vice Presidential Library in his longtime home District in Delaware. The source told us supporters of Biden convinced him of the need of on honor, he being the historic 2 term VP of the first black President of the United States, and as Biden himself likes to say, "The Cream in the Coffee of the Obama Administration."

The initial plans set forth for the library are said to include a Bidenesque design of three wings. One showcasing his early life and lengthy time in the Senate, another housing pictures and mementos of his two terms as Vice President and a third holding his personal notes and the many proposed initiatives and ideas brutally shot down by President Obama.

The building is planned to also feature a Gift Shop, 51 Political Correct Gender Specific Restrooms, an Indoor Super-Soaker Tactical Training Course, a Free-Range Fried Chicken Cafe and a Starbucks.

The project is said to be funded totally with moneys raised by private contributions. The FOB's (Friends of Biden) last month started a Go-Fund-Me page to raise money for the project. The target is $5.5 million. As of this writing the fund has so far raised $12.17.

In the meantime Biden has gone to work as a consultant for 'Turd Burglar Waste Disposal' to help in the financing of the project.

Spartacus Booker: "17-Year Olds Too Immature to Be Held Accountable for Actions"

Senator Spartacus (D-NJ)

Well this is interesting. While attacking Brett Kavanaugh, Senator Booker is sponsoring legislation that proposes letting juvenile offenders off the hook. (this is to gain minority favor and yes he is running for president). As all the the world knows by now, Judge Kavanaugh stands accused of assaulting Christine Blasey Ford when both were in high school. Blasey did not report the incident to authorities or apparently anyone else at the time. There is zero evidence.  Kavanaugh was 17 years old at the time.

As it happens, Senator Booker is a co-sponsor of something called the REDEEM Act along with Senator Rand Paul. The proposed legislation centers on expunging the records of juveniles convicted of non-violent crimes, thus ensuring some teenage mistake does not follow them for a lifetime. While what Kavanaugh is accused of presumably would be classified as “violent,” again, he was never charged much less prosecuted for this. But in an explanation of his concern for teenagers who get in trouble, as here at the Senator’s website, Booker says this, bold print supplied:
"Studies of youth brain development have found that the decision-making functions of the brain do not fully develop until much later than was previously believed to be the case. Despite this, some states still try 17-, and even 16,-year-olds as adults by default.
The REDEEM Act incentivizes states to establish 18 years old as a floor for original jurisdiction by adult criminal courts by allowing preference to be given to Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) grant applications that originate from states that have enacted similar or stronger provisions."
In other words? If one assumes that Christine Ford’s account is accurate, it happened for one reason, the reason that no less than Cory Booker himself has — truthfully — asserted. Again, that is this: Studies of youth brain development have found that the decision-making functions of the brain do not fully develop until much later than was previously believed to be the case.

In other words? The activities of a 17-year-old Brett Kavanaugh, not to mention 15-year-old Christine Blasey, were the result of immature teenagers whose “decision-making functions” were impaired to begin with because they had brains that were not “fully” developed. Not to mention that if Booker is literally sponsoring legislation that would make it the law of the land to seal youthful criminal records, there is no way that Ford’s 36-years later allegation, when no charges were even filed in the day, should be relevant in the first place.

There is zero evidence — say again zero — that Kavanaugh has ever exhibited this behavior in his adult life. Say again, zero. To the contrary. One woman after another has come forward to describe him in terms of being a gentleman on a personal level and an utter professional in the workplace.

Contrast this with the behavior Democrats are silent about this very minute.

The Best Giggle Snort Tweet of the Year.

Why I Don't Write Satire Anymore. They Write It for Us.
The Comments are Hilarious!

If you want to report disinformation to the New York Times, go here.

Liberal Bloodsport and a Pound of Flesh

Even if Judge Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed and seated on the nation's Highest Court, the left will still have extracted their pound of flesh. Just as with the Florida recount of 2000 and the Trump election of 2016, any confirmation will be branded as suspect and accomplished only through brutish tactics and the wholesale disregard for the truth. If Franz Kafka had written about confirmation hearings, he couldn't have come up with a better scenario than the one now unfolding. An unimpeachable pillar of the legal establishment stands accused of a heinous offense that it is almost impossible to definitively rebut. Whether Judge Kavanaugh is innocent or guilty matters not now. He will forever be besmirched by the 10 second clips that are sure to come from the aftermath if further hearings are held, forever considered guilty of it by some portion of the public easily swayed by media propaganda and self interest, just because "she said".

This is not due process, or any kind of decent process at all for that matter. But it is how the Senate conducts its business now, especially if you are a conservative jurist.  The confirmation process for the Supreme Court is badly broken, made into a forum for sheer bloodsport by the left. If, based on what we know now and this accusation keeps Kavanaugh from the court, it will be a new low even for them. The Senate will have embraced a new world where the existence of an allegation, regardless of whether it can be proven, is enough to stop a nominee and destroy his good name.

The effort to sink Kavanaugh is not just a naked attempt to change a confirmation vote but to forever brand him as illegitimate. Regardless of facts, vagueness, inconsistencies, and lack of evidence, any Republican nominee can now be derailed by an eleventh hour allegation and said allegation could now be given a public Senate hearing to lend it undeserved legitimacy.

Red Flags, Red Flags Everywhere....

As soon as Christine Blasey Ford was identity as accuser of Judge Kavanaugh, red flags popped up everywhere. It didn’t take long for people to poke holes in her story from over 30 years ago. The one thing that stands out is Ford’s presumption that she thought Kavanaugh was going to rape her or even kill her…This is conjecture on her part, but now the media has jumped on the “rape” word and moved the ball down the field to accuse Kavanaugh of attempted rape and even attempted murder. If this is supposed to have happened 36 years ago, Brett Kavanaugh (53) would have still been a minor.

Ford claims she was reluctant to come forward with her accusations. Yet, when Brett Kavanaugh’s name was first raised as a possible candidate for the nomination, she contacted both her Congresswoman, Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA) and the Washington Post tip line. Kavanaugh had not even received the nomination and she had already written a letter to politician and contacted a major newspaper. Does that sound like someone who is wrestling with a decision? The version told now has changed from the version told in 2012 to her therapist and once again the media is complicit with the Democrats in their effort to smear a man who has spent his entire life as an accomplished judge and citizen.

Red Flags? Let's look at few important ones shall we:
  • Judge Kavanaugh has gone through 6 FBI background checks. Came through clean.
  • Christine Ford scrubbed her social media accounts of her activism before revealing herself. Ford, has donated money to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), and Friends Of Bernie Sanders, and other leftist organizations.
  • Ford’s attorney is a self-described Anti-Trump Resistance activist.
  • It was reported that Brett Kavanaugh would be Romney’s first choice for SCOTUS if elected in 2012. That is when Ford suddenly told of the incident with Kavanaugh in couples therapy. It appears as though Ford recovered her memory at an opportune time.
  • Judge Kavanaugh’s mother presided over the bankruptcy trial of Christine Blasey Ford’s parents. Judge Kavanaugh’s mother ruled against the Batey parents.
Democrats have reached an all time low in their attempts to destroy anyone in their path. For Democrats, the ends justify the means…

Beards Are Racist, More Naked Nude Dudes, and Willie Nelson

Observations from the far end of the sofa.
According to an article published in 'The Atlantic', if you have a beard, you just might be racist. The article is actually a timely re-post from 2014 titled “The Racially Fraught History of the American Beard.” Apparently not getting shaved and growing a beard is a racist act because newly freed slaves became barbers......or something like that. It becomes painfully obvious that the author had way too much time on his hands. What’s worse is that The Atlantic actually published it. Twice!

And from across the pond we learn Renaissance Art is getting a 'Social Justice Makeover 'so to speak. In anticipation of a showing of Renaissance art at the Royal Academy in London, curators at the museum have made a major decision: The number of paintings depicting nude females will have an equal number of paintings depicting nude males. The #MeToo movement applies to Renaissance paintings also according to the Brits. Apparently, having more male nude pictures corrects the injustice of displays of nude females by those chauvinistic unwoke Renaissance artists. Don’t laugh; an art museum in Baltimore is taking down pictures and replacing them with those of artists with more political correct amounts of pigmentation in their skin.

Back at home it was announced late this week that famous herb connoisseur and sometime singer Willie Nelson, age 85, will headline a concert for Texas Senate candidate Robert Francis O’Rourke, better known by the first name, “Beto.” Nelson has previously campaigned for Dennis Kucinich and Wendy Davis. This should be reassuring news to Ted Cruz considering both Kucinich and Davis dramatically went down in flames.

It just keeps getting weirder and weirder.........

We Need to Stop Using the Word Journalist and Call Them What They Really Are

Few will deny we now live an age of fake news and media propaganda. I recently asked a friend who worked as a journalist before pursuing a career in advertising if there was a Hippocratic type oath or a code of ethics for journalist. They told me there was indeed an ethical code or "canons of journalism" adopted by the Society of Professional Journalist in 1922. They sent me a PDF of this "Journalist Canon"  as well as an additional PDF of the "Editors Code of Ethics". I spent an evening reading through what I can only believe are principles intentionally being ignored by today's journalist. Here is a sample of what I found. I'll let you decide as to how far we have drifted away from what was a once respected profession.....
_____________________________

This is the SPJ code of ethics that we follow as professionals:

Preamble:
Members of the Society of Professional Journalists believe that public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy. Ethical journalism strives to ensure the free exchange of information that is accurate, fair and thorough. An ethical journalist acts with integrity. The Society declares these four principles as the foundation of ethical journalism and encourages their use in its practice by all people in all media.

The SPJ Code of Ethics is a statement of abiding principles supported by explanations and position papers that address changing journalistic practices. It is not a set of rules, rather a guide that encourages all who engage in journalism to take responsibility for the information they provide, regardless of medium. The code should be read as a whole; individual principles should not be taken out of context. It is not, nor can it be under the First Amendment, legally enforceable. Ethical journalism should be accurate and fair. Journalists should be honest and courageous in gathering, reporting and interpreting.

Journalists should:
  • - Take responsibility for the accuracy of their work. Verify information before releasing it. Use original sources whenever possible.
  • - Remember that neither speed nor format excuses inaccuracy. – Provide context. Take special care not to misrepresent or oversimplify in promoting, previewing or summarizing a story.
  •  - Gather, update and correct information throughout the life of a news story. – Be cautious when making promises, but keep the promises they make.
  • Identify sources clearly. The public is entitled to as much information as possible to judge the reliability and motivations of sources.
  • - Consider sources’ motives before promising anonymity. Reserve anonymity for sources who may face danger, retribution or other harm, and have information that cannot be obtained elsewhere. Explain why anonymity was granted.
  • – Diligently seek subjects of news coverage to allow them to respond to criticism or allegations of wrongdoing.
  • – Avoid undercover or other surreptitious methods of gathering information unless traditional, open methods will not yield information vital to the public.
  • – Be vigilant and courageous about holding those with power accountable. Give voice to the voiceless.
  •  – Support the open and civil exchange of views, even views they find repugnant. – Recognize a special obligation to serve as watchdogs over public affairs and government. Seek to ensure that the public’s business is conducted in the open, and that public records are open to all.
  • – Provide access to source material when it is relevant and appropriate. – Boldly tell the story of the diversity and magnitude of the human experience. Seek sources whose voices we seldom hear. – Avoid stereotyping. Journalists should examine the ways their values and experiences may shape their reporting. – Label advocacy and commentary.
  • – Never deliberately distort facts or context, including visual information. Clearly label illustrations and re-enactments.
  • – Never plagiarize. Always attribute. Minimize Harm Ethical journalism treats sources, subjects, colleagues and members of the public as human beings deserving of respect.
Journalists should:
  • – Balance the public’s need for information against potential harm or discomfort. Pursuit of the news is not a license for arrogance or undue intrusiveness.
  • – Show compassion for those who may be affected by news coverage. Use heightened sensitivity when dealing with juveniles, victims of sex crimes, and sources or subjects who are inexperienced or unable to give consent. Consider cultural differences in approach and treatment.
  • – Recognize that legal access to information differs from an ethical justification to publish or broadcast.
  • – Realize that private people have a greater right to control information about themselves than public figures and others who seek power, influence or attention. Weigh the consequences of publishing or broadcasting personal information. – Avoid pandering to lurid curiosity, even if others do.
  • – Balance a suspect’s right to a fair trial with the public’s right to know. Consider the implications of identifying criminal suspects before they face legal charges.
  • – Consider the long-term implications of the extended reach and permanence of publication. Provide updated and more complete information as appropriate. – Acknowledge mistakes and correct them promptly and prominently. Explain corrections and clarifications carefully and clearly.
  • – Expose unethical conduct in journalism, including within their organizations.
  • – Abide by the same high standards they expect of others.
It goes on the say "Act Independently" and "The highest and primary obligation of ethical journalism is to serve the public." I for one don't see much of what is referred to as ethics in today's media. And Truth and Integrity seems to be practices of mythical gods of the distant past.

Perhaps the Finest Example of TDS We’ve Seen Yet.

by Robert Laurie

Everywhere you look, you see them: Panicked progressives and NeverTrumpers, running wild in the streets, screaming that the sky is falling. America – democracy itself – is doomed and soon we will awaken to find ourselves in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max hellscape. Once powerful pols and pundits will roam the barren land searching for seersucker and bowties, trying desperately to organize the kind of cocktail parties they used to enjoy.

What could have caused such a tectonic shift, you ask? In a word “him.” The beast. Donald J. Trump. He came crashing into town, defeated their mighty champion, and now they’ve lost all hope. This is the core of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Everything they understood to be true about their place in the political pecking order has been upended and they’re terrified that “the old way of doing things will never return.”

No one has made that clearer than Matthew Walther, the “National Correspondent” for an occasionally-respected publication called “The Week.” He’s convinced that an army of Trump supporters are, at this very moment, conspiring to eliminate the 22nd Amendment. This would remove presidential term limits and keep Trump in the Oval Office …for all of eternity! As he puts it “Trump may never leave the White House.” He warns you…this is not idle speculation:
"I don’t think it’s reasonable to dismiss the possibility of a third term for this president as idle speculation. The 22nd Amendment can be repealed like any other, and both geography and math favor Republican attempts at amendment. The end of presidential term limits would not necessarily be, in the long term, a one-sided partisan affair. It is perfectly reasonable to imagine a future in which a popular young Democratic president is elected to third and even fourth terms, perhaps non-contiguously, with a four-year interlude from a lucky but ultimately ill-fated Republican challenger.
I do not know a single supporter of the president who opposes the idea, at least in theory, of Trump serving more than eight years. The man himself has entertained it openly, praising Xi Jinping for getting rid of term limits in China. Meanwhile, speculation about whether Obama would have beaten Trump if he had run for a third term is a liberal cottage industry. Obama, who agrees that he would have been elected again if he had run two years ago, is a young man. Perhaps he could be the one to beat Trump in 2024.
If you think two more years of Trump in the White House sounds like a nightmare, imagine having to read about his late-night Oval Office tweets for another decade, or even longer."
This is perhaps the finest example of TDS we’ve seen yet. Not only has he killed us with net neutrality, tax cuts, Gorsuch, and Kavanaugh, but now international media outlets are speculating that he’s going to repeal the 22nd Amendment and stay in office for life!

You have to be a spectacular imbecile to think that he, or the voters who put him in office, are in any way looking to go down this path.

Joe Scarborough Writes SHAMEFUL Piece On The Anniversary Of 9/11

It’s the 17th anniversary of 9/11. It’s the day that we stop and remember those who lost their lives. It’s the day we remember those who willingly gave everything. It’s the day that reminds us that true evil exists. It’s a constant battle. But America? America is resilient. We can overcome anything. We have and will continue to do so. We will never forget.

I reject anyone who tries to use days like today to push another political agenda, like say, hating Trump. Who would do such a thing on a day like today? Joe Scarborough. He did that. He wrote a piece about how President Trump is destroying the American dream more than terrorists who literally crushed the dreams of thousands of people by TAKING THEIR LIVES.

Ye Shall Know Him by His Fruits

Over the weekend, among the incessant yelling of racism, speculation of who is the mysterious "Q"etc. the question still burned as of who wrote the scathing Op-ed in the NYT last week.  I've believed all along it was just a in-house NYT hit piece. Until they prove it's not, I will not believe otherwise.  Some others much smarter than I believe it is a genuine piece from inside the administration, but with a bit of media misdirection attached......
"The most surprising aspect of the furor surrounding the infamous unsigned New York Times Op-Ed, ostensibly written by a member of the Trump administration, is that anyone believes its author is a senior official. Assuming this person isn’t an employee of the Times, and it is by no means unknown for the Gray Lady’s journalists to fabricate quotes and attribute them to anonymous “officials,” the author of this hit piece is at most a mid-level staffer. Indeed, if this character is actually employed in the Trump administration, it is almost certainly at a level of insignificance verging on invisibility.
First, the editors of the Times are virulently anti-Trump. Their assurances about the prominence of this furtive functionary simply can’t be trusted. Moreover, as Phelim McAleer at Townhall points out, the nation’s “newspaper of record” has a long history of exaggerating the seniority of officials it quotes anonymously.
Not coincidentally, the solipsistic voice and callow perspective that “Anonymous” brings to the Op-Ed tends to undermine the claim that it was written by a high-ranking official in any administration. Most senior members of the Trump administration are over 50 years old and many are well beyond 60. Yet, throughout the entire essay, there is an unmistakable thread of historical illiteracy and presentism that one would normally associate with a Millennial.
The piece consists primarily of shopworn clichés that can be heard in any bar in any college town in America (or on CNN if you’re stuck in an airport). This self-styled “defender of our democratic institutions” solemnly states that “President Trump’s impulses are generally anti-trade and anti-democratic,” that he “shows a preference for autocrats and dictators,” that “the country is bitterly divided,” and that the “root of the problem is the president’s amorality.”
None of this is original. Nor is it accurate. But it does contain a revealing cliché that serves as an indicator of the author’s lack of seniority — the tired trope concerning how Trump has bitterly divided the country. It’s only possible to believe this nonsense if you are too young to remember the deep divisions in public opinion over Vietnam, the Nuclear Freeze movement, the Clinton impeachment, and Iraq. It is not merely inaccurate to blame Trump for today’s political divisions. The youthful hubris of our anonymous genius is such that it obscures the reality that Trump’s successes were actually accomplished by the President and his loyal aides: “There are bright spots.… But these successes have come despite — not because of — the president’s leadership style.” In other words, “Anonymous” has saved the nation from Trump’s “misguided impulses.”
So, what do we know about the unnamed author of the New York Times hit piece? If this person is a member of the Trump administration, the taxpayers are footing the bill for the deliberate obstruction of their will as expressed in the 2016 presidential election. The good news is that the sophomoric opinions expressed in the anonymous Times Op-Ed are probably nothing more the impotent puling of a powerless cubicle critter."

Fist Bumping at the DOJ?

Trump’s Internal Resistance Celebrates. There were smiles—and fear that the anonymous New York Times op-ed could backfire on those inside the bureaucracy trying to blunt the president. Some officials interviewed by The Daily Beast cheered the underlying message of the anonymously written op-ed. But several worried about its lasting impact, beyond provoking a familiar Washington parlor game: outing a dissenter.

Handling the fallout of politically motivated anonymous quotes or leaks is a rite of passage for every president. Early in Barack Obama’s administration, a 66-page report on the future course of the Afghanistan war, penned by then-commander Gen. Stanley McChrystal, was sent to Bob Woodward before the president had announced his formal decision. Later in his time in office, a White House official famously described Obama’s foreign policy as “leading from behind.” “It was sort of a breach of the Obama ethos,” said one top aide from Obama’s comms shop. “But on the scale of everything we were dealing with, it was a small deal.”

What Trump is confronting now is far different, veterans of past White House stressed. The leaks and anonymous quotes aren’t being offered to influence a political outcome or force the president’s hand one way or another. The piece thrust much of Washington, D.C., into a whodunit mystery, with rampant speculation about the authorship and outright shock from veterans of White Houses past that it happened at all. Matt Bennett, a former Clinton aide, emailed, “Even during the impeachment, when all of us were horrified by his personal conduct, no one in the Clinton White House (or administration) would EVER have done anything like this… I can’t imagine this happening in any modern presidency other than Nixon’s.”

At the Department of Justice—which has been eyed suspiciously by the White House for nearly two years as a source of insubordination—the atmosphere was tense Thursday morning. Two officials inside the department said they’ve been passively resisting the president since he took office in 2017. “We see ourselves as rebels,” one official said laughing, adding that the op-ed marked a perfect time to celebrate. “We even went around fist-bumping each other,” another official said. But a third, who feels similarly about Trump, sounded darker notes about where Trump’s ire over public embarrassment could lead.

Sit Down, Spartacus.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has no meaningful cards left to play, so we get embarrassing verbose grandstanding and melodramatic cosplay by junior Senators.  This situation is of the making by the American left. They developed the doctrine, which magnified the political importance of the judiciary. They politicized and personalized the Court and the appointment process. They made ideology the primary qualification for a judicial appointment. They shattered institutional norms and precedents in pursuit of victory.

Republicans are now playing by the Left’s rules and winning. What we are seeing in Kavanuagh’s confirmation hearings is the visual manifestation of the Left’s impotence, for which they have only themselves to blame.

You Couldn’t Script a More Media Ready Example of 'Fictional Resistance Porn'

Bob Woodward's new book "FEAR" is the latest in a series of questionable insider tell-alls about DJT's tumultuous first year in office following on the heels of the unindicted perjurer James Comey’s "A Higher Loyalty" and journalist author hack writer Michael Wolff’s mostly unsourced flight of fantasy / hit-job "Fire and Fury." It's been labeled perfectly as"Fictional Resistance Porn." After a day watching members of the media clutching their pearls over Woodward’s new book, I’m convinced that the more salacious details are not culled from 'deep-background', but sounds more like fiction manufactured by career deadbeats who have "worked in the White House” probably as far back as the Clinton years.

I’m working from memory here…
  • People around Trump routinely snatch papers off his desk because if he sees those papers then he’ll likely start a nuclear war. Or just start enslaving people indiscriminately. Or maybe both.
  • Everyone who works at the White House hates Trump in every way.
  • Everyone who works at the White House is convinced beyond any shadow of a doubt that Trump is literally insane.
  • Everyone who works at the White House thinks that if they don’t stick around, then Trump will start a nuclear war. Or just start enslaving people indiscriminately. Or maybe both.
  • Trump loves mocking people from the South, and even uses a Southern accent just to be a total asshole about it.
  • His lawyers had to draw pictures for him to understand what perjury means, and then went on bended knee and begged Mueller not to question him out of pity for his inability to tell the truth.
The vast majority of the allegations, certainly the ones outlined above probably all came from one or two people who likely have little to no actual proximity to DJT, or his closest aides. They are likely holdovers who technically “work in the White House” and felt it their duty to provide Woodward with the type of salacious detail that would paint the President in the worst possible light. The details, the quotes,  all perfectly tuned to make President Trump look and sound ridiculous, needle and annoy him with surgical precision, and provide fuel for the rabid resistance.

And now we learn there is supposedly someone in a high position who claims they're sabotaging the White House from the inside. The New York Times is so giddy they have broken their own rules and have allowed an anonymous editorial. But first, remember that all democrats and liberals lie to forward their agenda. So it really doesn’t matter what is says, consider it a lie on its face until proven otherwise. Secondly, the NYT thinks this will be a nail in the coffin of Trump, but they fail to recognize that a coward hiding behind a newspaper has exactly zero credibility.

If you can remain anonymous, one can say just about anything. Just like my sources at Simon & Schuster that shall remain unnamed, tell me people there make fun of the way Bob Woodward talks like he has brain damage, and that he likes to eat boogers.......and he prefers other people's to his own.

Protesters Paid In Cash To Disrupt Brett Kavanaugh Hearing

Author and commentator Adam W. Schindler interviews three Texas doctors who traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh. While waiting on line, they say they witnessed protesters being paid in cash to cause trouble in the hearing and in the public line to get in, Tuesday on Capitol Hill. - See Video

CBS News’ Nancy Cordes confirmed that Sen. Schumer held a conference call with Judiciary Committee democrats over the Labor Day weekend to discuss the strategy of grandstanding they deployed in a coordinated manner, interrupting the start of the hearing to call, one after the other, for a delay in the proceedings while protesters disrupted the proceedings from the back of the room.

John Kerry Doesn't Rule Out Joining the Dem's 2020 Circus

John Heinz-Kerry Tearfully Accepting the King’s Crown from The International Douchebag Society - 2014

In an interview Sunday with CBS Face The Nation Hostess, the lovely Margaret Brennan, the venerable Duke of Heinz -Earl of Ketchup - former Secretary of State John F. Kerry, refused to rule out a run for the White House in 2020, saying "talking about it now is just a distraction." In political speak he means if Dems can't win in the midterms, who'd want to be active in a party of a bunch of pathetic out-of-touch losers. Best known as husband of Teresa Heinz Kerry, the former senator and failed presidential candidate writes in his new book about John F. Kerry that "our nation is stronger when citizens stand up and decide that the way things are isn't the way things have to be." Like most democrats with acute TDS, he too fails to understand THAT'S WHAT THE LAST ELECTION WAS ALL ABOUT!

A multiple Purple Heart recipient now in private life where no one pays him any attention but his dogs, John F. Kerry laments on regrets about his miserable 2004 failed bid for the White House, including the choice of the lying lecherous pretty boy John Edwards as his running mate. John F. Kerry now sips chardonnay as he watches most of his political legacy, mainly the fraud of an Iran nuclear deal, the ridiculous climate change accord as well as the crown jewel of his foreign policy efforts, the Non-Aggression Pact with Canada, all being regulated to the dumpster of historical blunders by DJT.

And seeing John F. Kerry decided to use his high position to stir up some shit by personal calling out DMF's News Division 'Middle Finger News Service' at an International Awards Ceremony for our critical, but fair, coverage of his incompetent exploits as Barky's SOS, John F.Kerry made himself of one our favorite kick balls, giving us beaucoup amounts of material

But, in the name of healing the country and (to cultural appropriate a saying) bury the hatch so to speak, we at DMF/ MFNS wholeheartedly encourage John F. Kerry to seriously consider joining the Democrat Circus for 2020. You have so much to contribute. The Democrats need you Mr. Kerry.

Bless His Heart. Rapper M&M Is All Butthurt & Confused Cause DJT Is Still Ignoring Him and His Childish Petulant Rants

Eminem, The Alyssa Milano of Hip Hop

It's difficult to take seriously anything said by an uneducated blonde-headed 45 year old white guy in a hoodie pretending to be a badass black thug, who is starved for attention. The annoying and talentless entertainer Eminem, best know as a white boy anomaly in the world of Hip Hop noise, and for his amazing ability to do what 6 year old school children are good at, rhyming words, got seriously pissed off that Donald Trump continues to outright ignored him after an extremely emotional display of childlike anger and frustration in a four-minute freestyle rap at last November's BET Hip Hop Awards. Eminem was expecting a response.

He was hoping for retaliation, and maybe some major league publicity. But it never came. Never happened. Not even a tweet. Nothing. Butthurt Soon Set In.

In a interview later that month with some urban radio station, the 'Great White Dope' expressed his displeasure that the president didn’t respond to his rantings......
“I was and still am extremely angry. I can’t stand that motherf***er. I feel like he’s not paying attention to me. I was kind of waiting for him to say something and for some reason, he didn’t say anything.......”
Undaunted, the rapper is again attempting to draw the president into his one-sided public feud, (because NO ONE pays him any attention these days) by continuing his attacks on DJT on “Kamikaze,” a surprise release of sampling and repetitive nonsense that was spewed forth Friday. He now claims in his lyrics babblings President Trump sent the Secret Service to question him about threatening lyrics from that 2017 BET freestyle. I doubt DJT will respond this time either.

When even Donald Trump thinks you are too insignificant to respond to in this day and age, it’s time to come to grips with your own irrelevancy. Maybe M&M should just try and snag the next vacancy with the Trump vilifying, screeching banshee Joy Behar and her nasty looking sidecar, Whoopie Goldberg, and the rest of the ladies of "The View".
