They're Just Not Like Us

An interesting article on Issues & Insights begins with a remarkable anecdote, from a town hall meeting that a Democrat U.S. Representative had with her supporters (emphasis mine):

At a town hall meeting last week, Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez — one of the few moderate Democrats left in the world — made a perfectly common-sensical statement: “Americans believe that only U.S. citizens should be determining the outcome of American elections.” She was greeted with a torrent of shouts, boos, and profanity, signs that said “shame” from her constituents, and was ushered out of room for “security reasons.” 

Her statement would not appear to be controversial to us.  Americans should decide American elections. Simple. Surely her supporters would agree that Palestinians should decide Palestinian elections. And Danes should decide Danish elections. And Argentinians should decide Argentinian elections. So why are they so violently opposed to Americans deciding American elections?

This is something that has bothered me for some time. Democrat voters seem to be becoming just as radical, and just as anti-American, as Democrat leaders. The Democrats have always had a few batshit crazy Bernie / AOC type left-wing ideologues who are so radical that they sound anti-American. That is not new. But this seems new – when Democrat VOTERS sound so radical and anti-American.

Granted, this was just one isolated group, at this town hall. But Democrat have become increasingly violent, from Black Lives Matter riots to Antifa retards trying to burn down a federal building in Portland  a few years ago to vandalizing and even torching Teslas today. The Democrat Party has spent decades building something that they cannot control. And I think some Democrat leaders are probably starting to figure that out.  Although if they think they can ride the hatred and radicalism back into power, I think they’re willing to tolerate it for now.

Robespierre is probably nodding his head right now, with a grim smile on his face. This probably looks familiar to him. Because like him, the Democrats have built something that they are about to lose control of.

Hang on tight – you ain’t seen nuthin’ yet…

They Howl in Faux Anguish

Where were all the democrats when American citizens were falsely detained and jailed in various countries around the world. Yeah, the same ones who have wet their pants over a jailed El Salvadorian gang member who disrespected our country and laws.

First they came for Mahmoud Khalil, and I said nothing because I thought it was a damn good idea. He is a citizen of Syria who came to America to get a college degree. After graduating he stayed in America to be a leader in a group dedicated to supporting Hamas by disrupting normal activities at Columbia University, threatening and harassing Jewish students. Hamas is an organization that deliberately seeks out and murders as many Jewish babies, infants, and toddlers as it can. They came to deport him. Not imprison him; not kill him. They came to give him a free plane ride back to his home country.  Democrats are outraged.

Then they came for Kilmar Garcia (a.k.a. “Maryland Man”), and again I said nothing because it was a damn good idea. Mr. Garcia is a citizen of El Salvador who entered the country illegally. He is also a member of a criminal gang known as MS-13. MS-13 murders people for fun and profit. An earlier attempt to deport Mr. Garcia was delayed by an immigration judge who was concerned that Mr. Garcia would be in danger if returned to El Salvador. This is due to rival gang enemies who wished him harm.   They deported him anyway. (not our monkey, not our circus)  Democrats are outraged again, for reasons unknown.

Next they came for Tren de Aragua gang members. There is no dispute that they (1) entered the country illegally, and (2) make their living by committing crimes. Democrats insist we slow things down to give each member a court hearing of some sort. Democrats are silent as to what evidence such people could possibly present at such a hearing that should prevent their deportation. My silence means approval.

Next they arrested people who vandalized other people’s cars. This time the Democrats sat silent because they quietly approved of the vandalism.

Then they canceled the Social Security numbers of millions of illegal aliens who never should have received them in the first place.  Again the Democrats howled in anguish.

This country now has over 20 million illegal immigrants. This country is currently paying interest on a debt that increases at a rate of over a trillion a year, with the total now standing at over 36 trillion. Cutting waste, fraud, and abuse is the easy part. Deporting illegal immigrant felons is the easy part. Doing the easy stuff will not be enough. There are hard choices ahead, and the Democrats have made it crystal clear they will be of no help whatsoever.

A Toxic Brand and it's Baneful Disciples

"The reality is, they have no vision, no policy. They have nothing to sell but hate, and Americans are not buying it. – Governor Greg Abbott of Texas. 

Governor Abbott, whatever you think about him, is right on both counts. Democrats are selling their own brand of toxic hate in the streets and in the nation's capital, but sensible citizens aren't buying. We're talking about real, visceral hate here. Not dislike or disapproval, but active hate democrats have become so good at. Generally, when people talk about hate, they mean dislike. If someone says they hate broccoli, they usually mean they dislike it and do not want to eat it. They see broccoli, they leave it on their plate, and forget about it. They do not obsess over broccoli, keeping their hatred for it burning in their minds 24/7.

Real hate is an active emotion, one whose energy consumes those engaging in it. It is the type of thing that leads individuals to obsess over the object of their hatred. Eventually, if kept up long enough, it consumes the hater. We see it here among most Never-Trumpers and the vicious anti-Israel crowd. It leads to compulsive behavior, like daily anti-Trump screeds over trivial (and occasionally nonexistent) failings puffed up to DefCon 1 status. It is an energy sink. It is tedious and boring. Everyone else either tunes it out or points and laughs.

The energy wasted on hate is a major reason Christianity stresses forgiveness. You cannot simultaneously hate and forgive. Forgiveness requires you to put the hate behind you. It frees that energy for use elsewhere. You may dislike what those you love do, but you do not expend effort hating them.

Look at Gaza. The inhabitants have a piece of territory they could turn into a resort that Monaco could envy. They could be rich, peaceful, and healthy, the jewel of the Middle East. Instead, they pour all their resources into destroying their hated neighbor, Israel. As a result, their home is an impoverished rubble heap. Humans almost instinctively know hatred is bad.  Not that we are not capable of it: the whole Lost Cause movement was a product of post-Civil War Confederate hatred of the North.  Hatred consumed the South and left it well behind the rest of the United States. The South did not rise to the prominence it now holds in the US economy until it was willing to put the hatreds engendered by the Civil War behind it.

Nowadays a small Southern town is a far more tolerant place than a Northern university town. I personally can attest to that. 

 Yet hate is what the Democrats are selling. Hope is what Americans want. Whether you like Trump or dislike him, hope is what Trump is selling, not hate. He cannot be defeated by hating him, only by selling a superior version of hope. But to today's' democrat, Hope is just a worn out campaign slogan.

They Used To Plan an Overthrow in Dark Secret Places

I really don't know where the ideas came to me from. The idea that if you intend to strike the King you best finish him off, else your life could become terribly uncomfortable, at least as long as you had a breath to take. I guess I maybe picked up that silly notion from reading Willie Shakespeare or something.  Another notion is that plotting against the kingdom was usually done in secret.....like commies......by dim candle light. Guess that idea came from watching old film noir spy movies, half awake late at night or something.

Today there is this King, who was under constant coordinated attack from the shadows. They struck at the King unceasingly. The assassins failed. But just made him stronger. The King became embolden, and his enemies are now exposed. Their creepy minions, along with their evil constipated conspirators of the media now stand in the light. Disgraced, unapologetic and with no shame whatsoever.

They now threaten the King once more. Themselves wounded and disliked, they intend to strike again, and make no secret of their intentions. There is no more loyal opposition with them. They only see enemies. Enemies they are willing to take out. Publicly. 

The second ugliest person in congress, the foreign born far left, Pramila Jayapal (D-Wa) on MSNBC’s “Ricky Maddow Show” said she was training Americans to help take down a potential “dictatorship” of President Donald Trump.

“It appears that the Trump administration is willing to ignore judicial decisions and so that brings us to you in this room. It brings us to the people that is really, the bulwark, the wall against the crumbling of democracy. We’ve developed a curriculum where we help people understand, how do you go after the pillars of support? 

Not necessarily the person at the top but the pillars of support that allow that person to continue to have power? And how do you shift allies from being sort of passive opponents to being active supporters of taking down a dictatorship?”

Well that's an easy question to answer. You lie, project, gaslight, smear, swat and disrupt. The same shit you did anonymously through taxpayer funded NGOs and corrupt judges. But now exposed as the slimy corrupt party you champion, with your back against the wall, your party in shambles, you might take care. 

The King has broken no laws, only tested their legality, and when necessary appealed as is his right. And unlike his predecessor, who thumbed his nose at the courts with not a peep from you self proclaimed saviors of Democracy. Strike again at the power and beware he is now stronger than ever. 

Shakespeare's royal intrigues served as lessons to some. Tales of film noir commie spies intent on destroying America from within, didn't fare as well.

Certainly there is not a word in the Constitution which has given that power to them more than to the executive or legislative branches.

Of course, to the leftist Tom Jefferson's words are only golden when they are agreeable with their agenda, or in the present case of deportations, ignore his words to stymie lawful actions of their target of hate.

The Left’s War on Musk: ActBlue’s Fiery Tactics

Protest have increasingly become a tool not merely for expressing dissent but for exerting coercive pressure upon individuals who diverge from prevailing ideological orthodoxies. Recent organized attacks on Tesla dealerships across the nation provide a troubling illustration of this trend, with explicit efforts aimed at intimidating Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk into abandoning his leadership of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Central to this disturbing phenomenon are five Democrat-affiliated non-governmental organizations (NGOs)—Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project, and the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Funded significantly through ActBlue, these entities have leveraged protest not merely as an act of political expression but as strategic sabotage aimed squarely at Tesla’s economic interests and Musk’s personal resolve.

The coordinated nature of these demonstrations warrants serious attention. Troublemakers and Disruption Project have overtly embraced tactics of direct confrontation, aligning themselves with the more militant strands of leftist activism. Tesla dealerships from coast to coast have experienced not only picketing and verbal harassment of potential customers but also outright vandalism—incidents of shattered showroom windows, vehicles defaced with accusatory graffiti, arson, and even episodes involving gunfire into dealership windows at night.

I find it amazing that the democrats continue to choose the wrong side of an issue predictably, despite being fully aware that public approval is 20 percent for their positions! Mahmoud Khalil wasn’t arrested for speaking up. He was arrested for breaking the conditions of his stay here.The Department of Homeland Security can initiate deportation proceedings against green card holders for a broad range of alleged criminal activity, including supporting a terror group. He was the political director of Hamas-front UNRWA (read: he was a Hamas member) who terrorized Jewish students on campus and assaulted a police officer, among other things. WTF is wrong with you people?

Let Them Rage and Crawl Back Under Their Rocks

I was speaking with a couple of friends this morning on a rare video call outside of our regular New Year Wishes. They both expressed a weird feeling that something was going to happen to keep DJT from assuming his office in next month. Their fears got me thinking. I am not at all pessimistic. But cautiously optimistic. Cautious because certain aspects of the Progressive base might be childish in their thinking, but the drivers of the movement are quite adept of instituting their objectives. Certain chaos and detours around civilized rules is a desired tactic of Progressives.

Biden’s complete lack of moral compass and his overwhelming ambition and limited intellect allowed his administration to become the playground of undisciplined children with wildly ridiculous ideas about how to run a country. The consequences were an out of control economy, a bankrupt foreign policy, non-existent borders, and a justice system that worked in total opposition to what it was designed to be.   

I do think Trump will get inaugurated and will serve out his full term. I feel a certain mood in the country, a kind of collective sigh that most of the unnecessary nonsense is over — that we are going back to adult rule.

As I thought about the last four years I am reminded of the William Golding book, The Lord of the Flies. A group of young boys is set down on an uninhabited island; their one adult, the pilot of their transport, a rotting skeleton. The children, male children especially, without adult supervision devolve into savages. Their savagery intensifies over time. More and more of the artifacts of civilized life are dispensed with, and the worst instincts drive them. It all comes to an almost magical end with the arrival of an adult. Normalcy is reinstated. They are once again children, disciplined and orderly.

It is feeling to me that this is the stage at which we are currently. The adult has returned to the island. The children are no longer in charge. The wild, untamed impulses no longer rule, and the nation is once again ready to resume its journey and its example as the shining city on the hill for all the world to see. It is only a little strange after all that has happen, that it is again Donald J. Trump, of all people, who will lead us back to civilization.

That’s why we need to keep The Resistance going, because it’s been a huge success so far in my district in San Francisco and, I’m sure, in your districts in Manhattan, Chicago, and Havana. And we need to expand our party, which means we need to convince dirty, stupid, transphobic normal Americans to come to grips with their own failings and join us.”

“We could tell them they’re stupid even more often,” suggested Al Franken.

“And racist,” suggested Maxine Waters.

“Also, Islamophobic,” said Keith Ellison.

“In my state, I can go potty with girls!” said California’s Gavin Newsom. 

“Clearly, there’s something wrong with these people, so we need to consult with someone with a genuine connection with normal Americans. Sadly, Hillary Clinton isn’t here to help us. If anyone connects with Middle America, it’s her. Unfortunately, she’s fallen and she can’t get up.”

Pelosi then made the “drinky drinky” gesture, and the crowd nodded. 

 “Now look,” Schumer said, frustrated. “We have to defend 22 Senate seats next year, many in red states. How the hell are we going to do that?” 

“Move left,” said Bernie Sanders. 

“I know!” came a shrill, grating voice from the back of the room. Hillary Clinton entered with a bandage around her head and limping from the broken toe she got when she “slipped” while wearing her trademark high heels. She took the mic and the room fell still.

“We can start treating normal Americans with respect. We can honor them for their hard work, patriotism, and devotion to family. We can stop insulting their religious beliefs and trying to shove our urban blue state values down their throats. When criminals murder fellow citizens, we can choose not to blame law-abiding gun owners, and instead of calling them ‘racists’ for voting for Trump, talk to them and learn why they felt he was offering them more than the Democratic Party.”

The room was silent, and the crowd sat staring with jaws slack. 

“And…and…,” she said, then steadied herself on the podium, looking around confused.  

“Are you all right, Madame Should-Be-President?” asked Schumer, handing her a goblet of Chardonnay. She drank it in one gulp. “I don’t understand…what happened?” she asked. 

 “You were just mumbling random words, crazy talk,” Schumer said. “It didn’t make any sense at all.”

Clinical Stupidity

"Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Neither protests nor use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall of deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed… For that reason, greater caution is called for when dealing with a stupid person than a malicious one." – Dietrich Bonhoeffer

The validity of this quote is being demonstrated by the current resident of the White House and his useless marxist clown of a Vice President. While both are superficially clever, both are profoundly stupid, in a clinical sense.

Both are locked into their preconceptions, arrogant in their ignorance of anything outside their experience. Their experience, that of professional politicians, is necessarily limited. They understand bureaucracy, how to get their way legislatively, and how to game administrative systems. They know how to manipulate people and intellectual concepts. They have no experience in running a for-profit business, making a payroll, or producing a tangible product. While they know how to manipulate intellectual concepts, they are ignorant of their structure and how to test them.

They are unaware of physical realities — things like the laws of thermodynamics — which affect what is achievable. (A good example of this is their near-religious belief that electric cars and solar and wind energy have a smaller environmental impact than internal-combustion engine vehicles and natural gas — and nuclear-generated power.) Yet because they are clinical stupid, they cannot concede the possibility that they might be lacking critical information. They lack self-awareness and the ability to check their conclusions against reality. They are right. They know they are right, and don’t try confusing them with facts. Their reality is the true reality.

We can argue whether they are evil as well as stupid. I believe they likely are, but I also believe it is their stupidity rather than their evil that is the wrecking ball destroying Western Civilization. Bonhoeffer is correct. We must approach them with greater caution than we would with merely malicious individuals. If acts appear to be working successfully, the stupidity can rise to evil again in the hands of people who are smart and evil.
