Highways For Fishes and the Nation's Air Travel Safety

Much is being said about the disturbing condition of the nation air travel and it's safety. Unlike when the media during the Biden Administration, the strongest words of criticism and concern was of flight delays early in the term.  Accidents and close calls of which there were many were slighted for much more important news like anything and everything "Trump the Criminal".

And now, after less than 3 months time in office, the new Secretary of Transportation is taking heat for others' asparations, incompetence and misplaced priorities, and why we can't have nice things.

In October of 2022, half way through his term as Secretary of Transportation, Mayor Pete Buttgig was in high demand as a surrogate for Democratic candidates campaigning for midterm elections,  mainly because no one wanted to be within a mile of Joe Biden.  And while only 14th in the line of succession, just below HUD Secretary Marcia Fudge, He/Him received more campaign surrogate requests than VP Kamala Harris, also for obvious reasons.

With billions from the 'Build Back Better' slush funds at his disposal, Pete needed to show America of the promised progress he would make on the nation's infrastructure.

Let's see.  Pushed forward the important unfinished interstate highway exchanges?  Nope.  Expanded port facilities?  Nope.  Long needed Upgraded Air Traffic Control System?  Nope.
Highways for Fishes.  Check!!

From the DMF archives of Oct 20,2022:
A few days ago, Secretary Mayor Pete visited King County Washington on the dems midterm campaign outreach and toured a 'culvert replacement project' near Issaquah.  So excited He/Him wanted to tell you about how it will help move us ahead in our nation's Great Leap Forward.

Pete sounds like the host of an edutainment series for kids of all ages. "Secretary Mayor Pete’s World.” He's a master at breaking down complex issues, like holes under roads, and his enthusiasm for this remarkable feat of engineering is infectious.

Here Secretary Mayor Pete explains to the overtaxed great unwashed what a culvert is and why we should care.
They actually used some of this footage for campaign commercials.

When Deep Thinking Goes Off the Rails

Like most people, I like to think I'm a deep thinker. I do my best thinking in the shower. As readers of this blog I'm sure you would agree it doesn't always translate to this page. (I see you nodding your head in agreement). Some people, it seems, let their deep thinking lead them straight into the land of crazy. As days go by, it's becoming more and more apparent we are being ruled by deep thinkers who regularly wander said land of crazies.

Case in point is revealed in this quote from our betters at the Washington Post that claims some inside the WH think Biden's infrastructure bill’s emphasis on major physical infrastructure investments ‘reflects a dated nostalgia’ for white, working-class, male workers".  Yes, somehow these nut sacks have managed to connect some unrelated dots to conclude roads and bridges are racist and sexist.  And it’s pretty obvious that Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, has wandered off the beaten path into crazy. This is why satire is so difficult to write anymore. Check this out:

Subtract roads??? WTF! I want nice wide, smooth roads and dependable bridges to run my 345HP Infinity road-burner on.

Secretary Pete, who couldn't fill a pothole in South bend, was pretty jazzed by Vox’s piece on “Gen Z’s high-speed rail meme dream,” and we all know how well that high-speed rail project in Democrat-run California went. Barky Obama had promised us a nationwide network of high-speed trains, but even the New York Times assessed that “the projects have gone mostly nowhere” despite billions of tax dollars having been thrown down a hole.

Biden's infrastructure bill's wasteful high speed train & bike lane boondoggle investments reflects the influence of the young black female Ivy Leaguers and the utopian Greenies in Biden's orbit who have zero understanding of anything outside their narrow personal experience.  Hatred for all things even remotely related to white working class men blinds them to their own basic needs. I guess they just can’t help themselves, loathing America's backbone is their nature.

Are we just gonna not repair, improve, or help anything or anyone that seems “white”? Is that where were at now?

Our friends @Def-Con have a good run down of what all is in the Biden's Infrastructure bill. Go See.

Pete Buttigieg Picked to Fill the Nation's Potholes

Reuters has reported President-elect 46
* has been informed he picked former primary opponent and staunch surrogate Mayor Pete Buttigieg to be his Transportation Secretary, with the important task of insuring a good ride and filling nation's potholes.
How Buttigieg serving two terms as mayor of small town South Bend Indiana qualifies as valuable knowledge on transportation issues is only our guess.
Mayor Pete beat out several others with extensive experience including Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, butt Pete has some serious chips to cash in with Biden after his crucial endorsement ahead of the Super Tuesday primary elections in March.  Mayor Pete has been recently touting his foreign policy knowledge and his allies have been lobbying for a foreign policy post, with some openly suggesting he’d be a great ambassador to the United Nations. (it's rumored he knows where Uzbekistan is located)

Okay Class - Pop Quiz: Name one previous Transportation Secretary

This might not be the right place for Mayor Pete, though. Unless that's the whole idea.....
