No One Wants to Work for the Mayor of Baltimore

Baltimore SunTimes
"Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake is having a problem with retaining her staff.
Ever since she helped bring the hammer down on six Baltimore police officers over the accidental death of Freddie Gray, four members on her Office on Criminal Justice have resigned. As in, her four highest-ranking cabinet members have each resigned, one by one, over a three-week period. That does not paint a pretty picture on what regard the Baltimore mayor is held in with her staff members.
Shannon Cosgrove, deputy director of the office resigned Tuesday. Angela Johnese, director of the criminal justice office, and Heather Brantner, the mayor’s Sexual Assault Response Team coordinator, left their positions in the mayor’s office on May 22. LeVar Michael, who headed the office’s nonviolent programs, left two weeks ago. Not one of the departed provided a reason for leaving.
The Rawlings-Blake now faces even further scrutiny as it was determined that the costs incurred to the city stemming from the Baltimore riots exceed $20 million, quite a hike from the initial estimate of $9 million.
So, who wants a job in the Baltimore mayor’s office?"

And This is What He Gets For Trying to Help His Own Community

DownTrend
There’s something going on in black communities across this country that makes them terrifying hellholes, and it ain’t racism. Too many majority black neighborhoods are overrun with lawless scumbags that prey on the residents. This point was illustrated perfectly in Cincinnati recently. A black man who dedicated his life to improving the condition of his neighborhood was severely beaten for his altruistic efforts.
The Root reports that Ronald Moon Jr. came into possession of house his father bought in the neighborhood he grew up in. Rather than sell the property or rent it out, Moon came up with the idea of turning it into a community center. He wanted a place where kids could escape the violence and danger of the streets.
So dedicated to this idea was Moon, that he quit his job to focus full time on turning the house into a safe neighborhood space. The place was run down, so he spent most of his time fixing it up. An effort that was hampered because assholes kept breaking in to steal materials and vandalize the house.
One day, Moon was working at the house when the burglars broke in. They proceeded to beat the crap out of him. Three men and two women gave Moon a beating that left him with gashes and bruises all over his head and arms.
How effed up is that? All this guy was trying to do was help his community and scumbag thugs not only stole from him, but also beat him up.
Moon made an emotional video following the beating and posted it to YouTube. In it he says:
“This is what they did to me. I want to try and do something good for my people. I’m just trying to do the best I can for my people. I’m tired of seeing this hurt. The pain we feel is real. The hurt we feel is real.”
While the media and the screaming activists would have us believe that racist policing tactics are responsible for poor conditions in the ghetto, the reality is these neighborhoods are filled with dangerous predators. The cops didn’t beat up Moon; assholes from the neighborhood did.

Transjenners Suggest a Change in American Currency

A new grassroot campaign is proposing a small change in United States' currency...
"We believe this simple, symbolic and long-overdue change could be an important stepping stone for other initiatives promoting transgender equality."

What's the Point Bobby Jindal?

Jindal to Announce Presidential Run on June 24
WAPO - "Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, who has been preparing a longshot bid for the Republican presidential nomination, has scheduled a major announcement about his likely 2016 candidacy for later this month.
Jindal plans to declare his presidential intentions on June 24 with an event in New Orleans, an aide to the governor said late Tuesday. He is poised to enter a crowded Republican presidential field that already features nine announced candidates and likely will add a half dozen more in the coming weeks. Jindal currently is in his second term as governor of Louisiana. He previously served in Congress, and ran his state's Department of Health and Hospitals and the University of Louisiana system.
Jindal, 43, a Rhodes Scholar and son of Indian immigrants, has long been hailed as a rising star in the Republican Party and one of its sharpest policy minds. Yet he has struggled to break into the top tier of 2016 presidential candidates, despite aggressively courting the GOP's socially conservative base... "

Really Bobby, what's the point?

Jindal's been running for President every since his convincing win of a second term as Governor. But Jindal himself has tarnished he's star as far as Louisianians are concerned, and won't fly to high with America once his true record as Governor comes to light.

While continuing to staunchly opposition to the Common Core curriculum in Louisiana schools, he has backed away from his fight with the powerful Teachers Union in the state. He has refused to deal realistically with the 1.6 billion dollar deficit the state has run up, a deficit that includes the over generous taxpayer funded Tax Credits giving to the multi-millionaire movie makers and their industry just to keep the state's reputation as HOLLYWOOD SOUTH , while turning a blind eye to the increasing corruption it's caused in the state.

And in his haste to prove his conservative credentials, Jindal privatized the state charity hospital system, a system of teaching hospitals set up by Gov. Huey P. Long in the 1920's to care for widows and dependents of Civil War and WW1 veterans (which became the idea for the VA. system), and later extended to free care for all poor Louisiana citizens.  Now, because of no Medicaid expansion, may citizens of the state find themselves fallen into the cracks, with part-time jobs and no income to buy federal mandated insurance. Once empty emergency rooms are now crowded.

I have met our Governor Bobby, and also read his book. He is indeed a very smart man, and comes across as a committed "Compassionate Conservative".  It's just unfortunate he doesn't see fit to practice it in his own state.

Oh Yeah, Here's Ya a Really Great Idea From Hillary

Ma to Call for at Least 20 days of Early Voting Nationwide

I'm shocked I tell ya.  Ma Clinton is calling for another opportunity to expand democrat election fraud in national elections. But with the success in 2012, this announcement shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone......

"Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton plans to call for an early voting period of at least 20 days in every state.
Clinton will call for that standard in remarks Thursday in Texas about voting rights, her campaign said. She will also criticize what her campaign calls deliberate restrictions on voting in several states, including Texas.
The former secretary of state's address at historically-black Texas Southern University in Houston comes as Democrats pursue legal challenges to voting rule changes approved by Republican legislatures in several states. Clinton and her allies claim the changes are aimed at narrowing the electorate in ways that benefit Republicans.
“This is, I think, a moment when we should be expanding the franchise,” Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta said in an interview. “What we see in state after state is this effort by conservatives to restrict the right to vote.”
The legal effort began late last month with lawsuits in Wisconsin and Ohio, both presidential battleground states." - READ MORE
National Elections should have one standard in all states. Democrats have succeeded, through state controlled legislatures, in every underhanded way to gain an advantage through loosening requirements, questionable voter registration schemes, multiple voting and fighting anything that is proposed to remedy the scourge of voter fraud.  It is their lifeline in a country with over 20 million residents who are not citizens and not by law eligible to vote legally.

In the case of fair elections, we could learn a thing or two from some of our European cousins.....in some countries voter registration is required to be IN PERSON, and Absentee ballots are allowed only for UNAVOIDABLE TRAVEL REASONS and HEALTH REASONS (such as confined to bed for medical reasons or hospital stays) and voting requires proper identification.

Two day in person voting, Saturday and Sunday, would remedy many problems with US national elections and help cancel out fraudulent  influences like deceased voters who sometime swing important voter districts.  Just Sayin'.
