The Democrats' Presidential Debate Schedule:

Drama over Tuesday night's Democratic debate has disinterred an important question from liberals: Why is the party establishment so scared of having voters see their presidential candidates on TV?

The Democrats have limited the number of their debates to just six, compared to the Republicans' eleven. Even worse, they've scheduled them for time slots when few other than hardcore supporters will watch. They'll be like those Potemkin debates in the Senate that you see on C-SPAN, in which a senator is on screen proclaiming rhetorically as though to a crowd, when everyone knows that the chamber is empty and he or she is doing it just for TV.

Last Night's debate will be the most accessible of the lot even though it was scheduled to begin during Game Four of a drama-filled Mets-Dodgers National League Division Series. The next debate is scheduled for a College Football Saturday night in November. The third is scheduled for the Saturday before Christmas. The fourth takes place during a three-day weekend in January.

Secret Service Questions White House Staff About Notorious Photo-Bomber

Immigration According to Muhammad’s Teachings

The concept of Muslim immigration began with Islam’s prophet. Soon after Muhammad arrived to Yathrib (Medina) together with his close friend and father of his wife Aisha, Abu Bakr, they were joined by a ring of other friends and followers, known in Islamic history as “Companions.” They formed in Medina the first body of Muslim immigrants in history and very soon changed the face of Medina, making it the city of the victorious Islam. Immigration transformed Muslims from weak and scattered groups of individuals loyal to their religious leader, into a consolidated army, then a united community and finally, into a socio-religious political state. If Muhammad and his group had never immigrated to Yathrib in 622 AD, there would never have been any Islamic social, economic and political expansion.

Muslims learned and remembered this lesson, and since then the concept of Hijrah- Immigration- as a means of supplanting the native population and reaching the position of power became a well-developed doctrine in Islam. Immigration in Islam is not a Western liberal romance about how the newcomers gratefully search for opportunities for a better life in liberty and offer their talents and loyalty to the benefit of their new homeland. Immigration as Islam sees it is an instrument of Islamic expansionism that employs religious and ethnic separatism in order to gain special status and privilege, then subvert, subdue, and subjugate non-Muslim societies and pave the way for their total Islamization and implementation of Shari’ah law.

The main principle for a Muslim community in a non-Muslim country is that it must be separate and distinct. Already in the Charter of Medina, Muhammad outlined the basic rule for Muslims who emigrate to non-Muslim land, i.e., they must form a separate body, keeping their own laws and making the host country comply with them:

Mike Welcomes South Carolina

MIKE IS PLEASED!!
LSU-45   SC-24

Because of devastating floods that have hit the state of  South Carolina, the USC Gamecocks made the decision to moved their home game to Baton Rouge. In the early searches to find a neutral field, the idea was floated to play the game here, at Independence Stadium, a friendly field for the Gamecocks because of their Independence Bowl Appearance and win last December. The final decision was made by USC to play in Tiger Stadium because of logistics, and the necessities are already in place. Baton Rouge also presents the opportunity for a larger attendance for the visiting SC.

Baton Rouge has pulling out all the stops to welcome the Gamecocks this weekend, and make this game feel as close as possible to a home game. With the memory still fresh of what Arizona State.Univ. and the people of Tempe did for the Tiger program after Hurricane Katrina and Rita, it's LSU's opportunity  pay it forward.

All game proceeds, television revenue and stadium concessions from the game will go to USC, as well as a relief fund set up to help the victims of the flooding. Our prayers go out for them and our SEC brothers and sisters. They need only look 60 miles to the south of Tiger Stadium to be reminded that devastation and hopelessness can indeed turn into a new and better day.

Saturday, the entire starting LSU defense will take the field  together for the first time this season. Finally healthy and 100%, it should show. The Gamecocks are an underdog and will be playing the role of spoiler, who knows what tricks Coach Spurrier may have up his sleeve for the Tigers. This should be a good game. It's expected "The Beast" runs for another 200+yds and continues an assault on the SEC record book.
I say LSU by 20.

ELSE WHERE IN THE SEC:

Arkansas @ Alabama: This game I hesitate to call at all, for good reason: the Hogs have a well earned and justified reputation of jumping nationally ranked teams and handing them their only defeat while on their way to a National Championship ( just ask Oklahoma, Texas, LSU and and Notre Dame in recent history). Bama tasted a little of the hog sweat themselves last year winning at the Hog Pin by only by 1 point (14-13).  It's like the hogs can sniff them out. But, if the Tide stops the hogs from running, it may not even be close.

Florida @ Missouri: I know absolutely nothing of the Mizzo Tigers, ceptin' they're from up north somewheres and play in the SEC East (?). So I'll say, if the Gators are indeed for real, they go into Baton Rouge undefeated next week for a showdown with Mike and the Tigers.
I say Gators by 10+

Out on a Limb Prediction: No team ..... goes undefeated in the SEC this year. It pains me to say that. National Ranking polls are virtually useless conjecture, just weekly snapshots and mean very little until the last few weeks of the season. No dominate team or clear favorite has yet appeared, but the talent and level of play in the SEC as a whole means some serious big boy football with unexpected surprises in the offing, and a interesting SEC chase.

Jan's Picks: 10-2 on the year......

Is Bathtub Boy Headed back to MSNBC??

Former ESPEN MSNBC ESPEN Current TV's Keith Olbermann
Mediaite’s Joe Concha, who must surely have NBC in full leak investigation mode by now with the way he’s been able to break scoop after scoop recently, writes that Andrew Lack is going to meet with former host, Keith Olbermann.
"So with all of that said, a well-placed source now informs me that a meeting has been set between Olbermann and Lack to discuss his return to the network and his old 8:00 PM slot. This arrangement was something that Mediaite’s Andrew Kirell first wrote about as a rumor in July."
It’s not impossible. Stranger things have happened. If ESPN can bring him back…MSNBC, who are in a perpetual fight with  'The Missing Airplane Network' for the bottom of the barrel of Cable news, can too Perhaps they can scrape up the has been Alan Colmes from the back alley pavement and have a real Olbermann / Colmes Clown show.  But if Olbermann does comes back and leads off with “As I was saying…” one more time, someone is going to be throwing a brick through their TV screen.

I Doubt They Really Care What John Kerry Thinks......

Secretary of State John Kerry Thursday told Russia that the U.S. has "concerns" that most of Russia's military actions in Syria are not targeting the Islamic State, and instead are defying U.S. policy by targeting groups that oppose Syrian President Bashar Assad.  Putin is showing just how embarrassingly weak Barack Obama really is on the World Stage in his faculty-lounge fantasy world, and just how pathetic John Kerry can look.....

Apple Fingered as the Worst Tax Avoider in the US

Fruity cargo cult Apple is one of the worst US tax avoiders, according to new statistics compiled by the Citizens for Tax Justice and the US Public Interest Research Group Education Fund.
The study found that nearly three-quarters of the firms on the Fortune 500 list of biggest American companies by gross revenue operate tax haven subsidiaries in countries like Bermuda, Ireland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Jobs’ Mob holds $181.1 billion offshore, more than any other US company, and would owe an estimated $59.2 billion in US taxes if it tried to bring the money back to the United States from its three overseas tax havens, the study said.
The 500 largest American companies hold more than $2.1 trillion in accumulated profits offshore to avoid paying US taxes. If they all paid up, the country would give $620 billion to the US economy. Citizens for Tax Justice and the US Public Interest Research Group Education Fund used the companies’ own financial filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission to reach their conclusions. “At least 358 companies, nearly 72 percent of the Fortune 500, operate subsidiaries in tax haven jurisdictions as of the end of 2014,” the study said.
“All told these 358 companies maintain at least 7,622 tax haven subsidiaries.” Fortune 500 companies hold more than $2.1 trillion in accumulated profits offshore to avoid taxes, with just 30 of the firms accounting for $1.4 trillion of that amount, or 65 percent, the study found. Fifty-seven of the companies disclosed that they would expect to pay a combined $184.4 billion in additional US taxes if their profits were not held offshore. Their filings indicated they were paying about 6 percent in taxes overseas, compared to a 35 percent U.S. corporate tax rate, the study calims.
“Congress can and should take strong action to prevent corporations from using offshore tax havens, which in turn would restore basic fairness to the tax system, reduce the deficit and improve the functioning of markets,” the study said.

Activist Group Pushing For Removal Of New Orleans’ Monuments Tied To #BlackLivesMatter

Hayride
An activist group seeking the removal of four Confederate-related monuments in New Orleans apparently has ties to the #BlackLivesMatter movement. The group “STAND With Dignity” is a partner group under the “New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice” group, which often holds rallies comprised for immigrant and illegal immigrants demanding the state to cease deportations.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s plan to remove Lee Circle, PGT Beauregard, Jefferson Davis and the Liberty monument has been met with an outcry of backlash from residents in the city.
Not only has an influential group known as Save Our Circle been formed to save all history and art in the city of New Orleans, but two recent polls show that residents and citizens of the state are overwhelmingly not on-board with the removal, including black voters and Democrats.
STAND With Dignity often uses Twitter to promote the hashtags #BlackWorkersMatter and #BlackLivesMatter. And they usually get what the want.  Most recently, the group was successful in lobbying the New Orleans City Council to increase the city’s minimum wage to $10.55 per hour, a plan bound to hurt businesses across the city, as it has happened in Seattle, Washington.
