THE REAL DEPLORABLES

Four black men who never served a day in the military, used the stardom that comes with being NFL football players to disrespect the American Flag — and the men and women who have died defending it — prior to their football game on Sunday.
Four spoiled, self-absorbed black athletes who play for the Miami Dolphins didn’t care about supporting the pre-game ceremonies designed to pay respect to the 15th anniversary of 9/11. They cared more about shining the light on themselves and a racist group called Black Lives Matter.
Four overpaid, overrated black Miami Dolphins made complete asses of themselves by kneeling during the National Anthem on the most painful day in America. No matter how big the shoulder pads make them appear, as far as I am concerned Arian Foster, Michael Thomas, Kenny Stills and Jelani Jenkins are pathetic little black men who are no different than the Islamic haters who burn the American Flag.
If these 4 punks were “real” black men — if they were “real” black tough guys — they’d spend their time during the off-season working with the young black boys who join gangs and kill each other every night. Instead of kneeling down, they’d step up and do something about helping young black men to escape the drugs that riddle black communities. They’d donate their time to help educate young black men about the pitfalls of impregnating young black girls out of wedlock.
Here’s what these four black fools don’t understand: by kneeling they shined a spotlight on themselves in a way that forces me to write “black” at the start of every sentence. Yesterday, had I written about these 4 guys for whatever reason, I would have referred to them as “four football players.” But today they went to extremes to make it so America recognizes them as “four black men.” - Dennis Michael Lynch

Cocks vs Tigers

Last week the Tigers traveled to Lambeau Field and suffered their first Opening Day loss in twelve years, as well ended their record streak of non-conference wins at 53. The offense came out stagnate and ineffective against a good Wisconsin Badger team. The bright spot was #7 crossed the 3,000 yd. career mark with a respectable 138 yds @ 6 yds per carry against a good Badger defense. The Tiger Defense played very well, stifling the Badgers at times, forcing three turnovers accounting for 14 points. They played soft, taking away the long pass and holding their 3 running backs to just 134 yds.  7 of the 12 Badger possessions started at their own 40 yd line or better, only to reach the endzone once. The Tiger defense did their job. This was a winnable game. The Tigers beat themselves.

This evening as the sun sets on the horizon of a flood ravaged Baton Rouge, Tiger stadium will be bathed in bright light and Purple and Gold as Mike and the Tigers welcome the Jacksonville St. Gamecocks to the electric confines of Death Valley. The Tigers have an amazing record of winning home openers. They look to continue that long tradition.

Jacksonville State went 13-2 last year and played in the FCS National Championship game. They have a seasoned QB who can light you up. This should be another good test of a Tiger defense that is expected to continue to improve as weeks go on. And this is the last opportunity for LSU to get the kinks out of the offense before Conference play starts next week. Let him throw, Les. Let him throw!

Reluctantly, I say Tigers by 10

Elsewhere in the SEC:

Western Kentucky vs #1 Alabama- 3:30pm
Alabama blew the doors off USC last week, and the Tide appeared to roll as they did last year. The WK Hilltoppers visit Tuscaloosa Saturday and we will have the answer to the Question: Is the Tide as good as they appear again this year?
I say the Tide by 20

Arkansas vs #15 TCU- 7:00pm
This is a game that may come down to defense. TCU can put up points, but give up a lot. BUT, I say the Hogs surprise Frogs early and hold on for a slim win.
UPSET- I say Hogs by 3

Virgina tech vs #17 Tenneessee - 8:00pm
I'm still not convinced the Vols are all that. I picked Georgia as SEC East Champs. And like LSU, the Vols still have alot to prove. But if Butch Jones took my advice and drank heavily this week, just maybe the Vols have improved enough to contend.
I say Tennessee by 7

Founding Fathers No Longer Worthy Of School Names??

Best-selling historian David Barton is blasting a proposal by the head of the San Francisco Board of Education which would ban schools from being named after George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers and American leaders who owned slaves.

Barton, author of “The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson,” called it a “misguided effort based on bad history.” Barton pointed out African-American leaders of the past often praised both Presidents Washington and Jefferson, who both recognized human slavery was an evil needing to be dealt with, as champions of the beginning civil rights for blacks.
“It is striking when you look at the people who looked to Washington and Jefferson as inspirations. For example, Dr. Martin Luther King praised Jefferson, as did Frederick Douglass, Henry Highland Garnett, Benjamin Banneker and many other African Americans who were the premier civil rights leaders in their generation. The difference between today’s generation and previous ones is that Americans today by and large no longer know American history based on historical fact. Instead, they are simply taught a version of it based on progressive political agendas.”
It’s to combat this kind of phony history Barton says he wrote “The Jefferson Lies,” which details the many ways Jefferson’s memory has been manipulated and misused by left-wing activists. The book was a New York Times bestseller when it was first published in 2012 until a coordinated pressure campaign against the publisher won an unprecedented victory by having the book withdrawn from circulation.

Barton has since put out a new expanded edition in which Barton specifically rebuts his critics charge by charge.
"Both Washington and Jefferson openly advocated for the end of slavery and led legislative efforts to achieve that objective. As presidents, both actively introduced, supported, and even signed major measures that sought to end slavery in America and ensure that equal racial civil rights were achieved. It is unfortunate that both of those great leaders lived in the state of Virginia, which by state law would not permit them to free their own slaves as they wished. Nevertheless, they both worked to achieve for others what they could not achieve for themselves, and that’s why previous generations of African Americans openly praised and heralded them.”
As long as factually inaccurate and political agendy driven portrayals of history continue to dominate America’s history textbooks and classrooms, errant proposals like this one will continue to be offered.  This is just more non-sense from anti- American, self-loathing white leftist academics and Afro-centric anti-Western scholars.

Hillary Clinton Confirms Health Rumors

Given her history of rampant, craven, deep, broad, sustained, overarching, continuous, relentless dishonesty about practically every aspect of her personal and public lives, is it really so implausible that she'd lie about her health? No. She'd lie about her health even if there were nothing to lie about, just to keep in practice.....

On the States Early Voting System

"In 37 states and the District of Columbia, any qualified voter may cast a ballot in person during a specified period before Election Day. This includes Oregon, Washington, and Colorado -- which automatically mail ballots to all voters. In 2012, a little more than 31 percent of Americans cast their ballot before Election Day.
"Early voting now represents a good idea run amok. New laws that aimed to make casting a ballot easier and more convenient for busy voters have created Election Month. In some states, voters have six weeks to pull the lever. 'Campaign season' has become 'voting season.' Candidates' political operations may find these rules particularly convenient -- every vote you know you've turned out before Election Day is one less you have to worry about on a particular Tuesday in November -- but the trend will almost inevitably come back to bite voters. ...
"This year, the earliest of ballots will be cast before any of the three presidential debates or the vice-presidential debate. Suppose in the final debate, Hillary Clinton has a sudden mental breakdown and begins barking like a dog. (Again.) Or imagine that Donald Trump declares that he loves reading Hitler's speeches, or some other statement completely beyond the pale. Some voters would suddenly realize they had already cast a ballot for a candidate they cannot abide, and there is no way to un-do their decision." — Jim Geraghty
