Seems I Remember These Same Warnings Before........

Let's see, I remember a few years back they told us another virus wasn't
contagious unless you had contact with blood or body fluids........
and how many irresponsible people caused their own death
and death to others because of that virus?

Each day 150+ travelers arrive in America
from Africa’s Ebola stricken countries and
enter our population centers.

Obama is Becoming Nixonian.

"One of the more interesting political/psychological pastimes these days is to watch how President Obama deals with his crumbling presidency. The answer is: Not well.
What is worth paying increasing attention to, I think, is the emotional state of the president. It’s in front of his donors that his most authentic feelings seem to surface, and it’s clear he’s becoming increasingly isolated, embittered, and thin skinned. His excuse making is now chronic and habitual. He’s even displaying some signs of paranoia. Everyone is against him.
Obama is becoming Nixonian.
The man who by a wide margin has received the most worshipful press coverage in at least the last half-century is complaining that the press is mistreating him. A president who routinely misleads the public on matters large and small, who first ran for president on the promise of unifying America but governs based on dividing it, and who allows the most important national-security matters to be decided by crass political considerations is blaming others for feeding cynicism.
Watching a narcissist struggle to deal with massive, multiplying failures can be a poignant thing, especially when everyone gets what’s going on except the narcissist and his enablers. When this happens to a sitting president, however, what is poignant becomes alarming. Because it’s always better that the president of the United States live in reality rather than creating his own."

Last Minute Shake-Up in the Mary Landrieu Campaign

Landrieu Replaces Campaign Manager:
Brings in Old Trusted Advisers

Embattled 3 term Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu, who has slipped in the polls and endanger of not making the December run-off, has shaken up her campaign as a last ditch effort to gain ground on Rep. Bill Cassidy and his lead in the race.
N.O.Times-Picayune -Facing the toughest battle of her political career, Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., is replacing her campaign manager and bringing in experienced hands from her previous three successful Senate runs to help with the final push to the Nov 4th open primary. Adam Sullivan, who had been campaign manager, is leaving that role but continuing as an advisor to the campaign.
Spotted Recently in a New Orleans Cafe
"As Sen. Landrieu has done in all of her races, she is bringing on some of her long-time and trusted advisers to assist during the last month of the race to lead us to victory on Nov. 4," said Landrieu campaign spokesman Fabien Levy.

Aides didn't say why Sullivan is being replaced, other than to say Landrieu is bringing in people she's comfortable with and has relied upon for previous campaigns. Winning a Senate seat has never been easy for Landrieu in a state trending more Republican and conservative, but this race appears to be her toughest yet.

Landrieu is facing stiff challenge from a field led by Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy of Baton Rouge and Tea Party Conservative Republican Rob Maness of Madisonville.

Hawaii Officials Drop Plan to Name Park for Obama

(HONOLULU NEWS - MFNS) - Two Honolulu city councilmen have dropped plans to rename a popular beach for President Barack Obama. The beach is a popular for bodysurfing on Oahu's east side. It was a favorite for the president as he grew up. He bodysurfed there while on vacation during his 2008 campaign.

The councilmen last week introduced a resolution to change the name of Sandy Beach Park to President Barack Obama’s Sandy Vagina Park.

Democrat Politicians Remind Me of Used Car Salesmen

Another Senate Candidate That Has All The Scruples
and Ethics of a Lying Sack of S**t

by Robert Janicki
It's been reported that Greg Orman said he will caucus with the party in the Senate majority in the next congress. Why should an Independent caucus with either Democrats or Republicans?  The answer is simple.  Orman  wants support for his agenda and is willing to sell out to either political party to see his own agenda advance.  I call this absolute deceit.  Apparently Greg Orman sees no conflict.  That's a lot easier for a man with no principles to assert.
"Independent Greg Orman says he could change parties even after he has allied himself with Democrats or Republicans if he wins the Kansas Senate election in November...."
" In an exclusive interview with NBC’s Kelly O’Donnell, Orman says he would initially caucus with whichever party has majority control in the Senate, because “it’s in the best interests of the voters of Kansas that they have a senator in the majority.”
I leave it to readers to determine whether they think Orman is lacking in scruples or ethics.  Okay, he's a wanna be politician, so, for many, a lack of scruples and ethic is a given.
For those who are unfamiliar with Greg Orman, he previously ran for the U.S, Senate as a Democrat and lost.  He has contributed to Democrat candidates and causes in the recent past.  Call me old-fashioned, but when it walks like a duck, quacks like and sh*ts like a duck, you can pretty much rely on the duck  being a Democrat.

Reverend J. J. Finds Cameras in Dallas

WJ
"Maligned by his critics as a race-obsessed media glutton, Jesse Jackson gave detractors plenty of ammunition to use against him in a series of Twitter posts about the Ebola patient being treated in Dallas.
After confirming he would spend Tuesday in Dallas, ostensibly at the request of Thomas Duncan’s family, Jackson soon began posting updates and images showing his multiple media appearances and meetings with prominent local figures...."
Never let a crisis go to waste....

A recurring opinion suggested that his inspiration is the same as it was in any of his past decisions to visit a community in the midst of tumult.  Money.

But, could this the real reason J.J. is in town?
DALLAS — The Dallas County prosecutor is considering whether to file criminal charges against Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian man who traveled from Monrovia to Dallas, where he was diagnosed with the deadly virus last week.
“We are looking at whether he intentionally and knowingly exposed the public to the virus,” said Debbie Denmon, a spokesperson for the Dallas County prosecutor’s office...."

Preaching Diversity from a Mostly White and Mostly Male Ivory Tower

Saturday, the New York Times editorial board delivered a stern message to America’s tech companies:Silicon Valley’s Diversity Problem” was the title of the editorial.

Now we here at DMF enjoy with great glee the loving and tender mocking of the left. And the NYT's allows more than their share of opportunities. This editorial is a target rich environment for just such mocking; the Time's Editorial Board's own diversity.

But First, let's meet the NYT's Editoral Board:

Male - (63%)
Female- (27%)
White - 14 (74%)
Asian - 3 ( 16%)
Hispanic - 1  ( 5.3%)
Black -  1 (5.3%)

So now, a little playful turning the tables on the hypocrisy laden editorial and rewrite it to address what goes on behind the Time's own backyard fence......

"After years of playing down the problem, technology companies like Google, Facebook and Apple The New York Times now say they're it’s serious about improving the gender and ethnic diversity of their work forces and corporate its editorial boards. Recent data from those companies and others like them about the composition of the NY Times editorial board confirm what everyone has long known: Most of their employees contributors are white and Asian, most are men. As shown above, men on the NY Times editorial board outnumber women by almost 2-to-1 (12 men vs. 7 women), and blacks (5.3%) and Hispanics (5.3%) are significantly under-represented on the board relative to their shares of the US population (13% and 17% respectively for blacks and Hispanics).

Tech Publishing companies like the New York Times should care about these numbers. Many studies show that companies publishers with gender, political and ethnic diversity on their editorial boards tend to be more creative and more profitable, because varied perspectives help them design products and services write editorials that appeal to a diverse, worldwide audience."

There are approaches that could help:
* Top technology companies The New York Times hires a lot of graduates from elite universities like Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Brown, Chicago, Columbia, NYU and the University of California, Berkeley for its editorial board (see list above). Their Its recruitment efforts should include a broader array of colleges…
* Companies The New York Times should open up the initial interviewing process for its editorial board. The National Football League, for example, has the Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview at least one minority candidate for every head coach or general manager opening, and this rule should be implemented at the New York Times.
* Creating a welcoming culture, which is often easier said than done, would help these companies The New York Times retain employees board members who get in the door. The under-representation of women and minorities on the current New York Times editorial board might not be creating a sufficiently “welcoming culture.”
"There is a lot that the education system and the government need to do to get more women and minorities interested in science and technology journalism. But the technology newspaper industry (including the New York Times editorial board) can start tackling its diversity problem right now."
