Mary Landrieu Resorts to Fakery in Political Ad

Unable to successfully pit two popular black North Louisiana politicians against each other for a congressional seat to bring out the democrat vote in her weakest territory in the state, and unable to run away from her 300 Million dollar vote for ObamaCare,  Sen.Mary Landrieu has now resorted to faking footage of Congressional hearings in political ads being run statewide. And she is drawing the wrath of local and national media.

In the  new ad released last week, Landrieu dramatically denounces the federal government, scolding them for not taking the needs of her constituents seriously on oil and gas revenues. No problem here. But the ad inferred that she was denouncing in the Senate committee hearing chamber as the new chairman of the Senate Energy Committee. Insert fake footage here. The campaign also uses different people in the ad than the actual staffers during the hearing.

It's not that she staged footage with actors in a television studio made to look all congressional and stuff (committee camera footage is not allowed to be used by Senate rules) it's that she changed her words from the senate record. The ad is misleading to voters who are made to think they are looking at real news footage.

Desperation has set in for Proud Mary. RealClearPolitics shows the race a toss-up with her top GOP challenger, Rep. Bill Cassidy.

Drinking with George: Hollywood Moonbat Butt-hurt Over Hero Put Down

"I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said your friend is an asshole."

According to hotel Magnate Steve Wynn, Moonbat George Clooney  got his panties all in a wad Tuesday at a dinner that ended in verbal fireworks. Wynn said Clooney “got drunk” on tequila shots and stormed off after delivering an F-bomb.
So sensitive, these actors.

LVRJ
The two-time Oscar winner issued the following statement in an email sent through his publicist:
“There were nine people at that table ... so you can ask them. ... Steve likes to go on rants.
“He called the president an asshole ... that is a fact ... I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said ‘your friend is an asshole.’ ... At that point I told Steve that HE was an asshole and I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jackass.
“And I walked out. There were obviously quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us. Those are all the facts. It had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character.”

"Cloony started talking about the Affordable Care Act, and that’s when I spoke up,” said Wynn, a frequent critic of Obamacare. “He didn’t like that either. I think my discussion about the Affordable Care Act was the straw that broke the camel’s back."
“When he’s drinking, he considers himself a close personal buddy of the president.
“He got up and said, ‘I don’t have to listen to this (expletive) stuff. The only person who got excited at the table was George, and he ran off to another bar. “Clooney’s fun to be with when he’s sober,” Wynn added. “If you have a chance to drink with him, you want to get there early, and don’t stay late.

Get In My Belly!

Is White House Preparing for the Inevitable?

As the president flies off to Asia, the White House quietly put in place one of the top defense attorneys in the country to be Obama’s new White House Counsel.

While the media has noted Neil Eggleston’s newly elevated position inside of the Obama White House, what little coverage there has been ignores the fact that Eggleston has made his living, and his name, by defending those involved in serious political scandal.

I’ll repeat that for emphasis – Neil Eggleston defends those involved in serious political scandal, and now he has been made Barack Obama’s White House Counsel.

Eggleston was part of the Clinton administration defense during the Whitewater scandal, as well as two subsequent executive privilege battles. He also worked with the Bush administration in 2007 during yet another executive privilege dispute. And perhaps more important to the direct link to Barack Obama himself, Neil Eggleston was the one who provided current Chicago Mayor, and former Obama White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, legal defense during the infamous Rod Blagojevich trial that included a myriad of pay to play allegations that eventually resulted in the former Illinois governor being sent to jail, while Rahm Emanuel emerged relatively unscathed.

Eggleston’s current placement in the Obama White House is a clear signal by the administration that it is preparing for battle should Republicans win back the Senate following the November 2014 Elections, and for the first time, face the prospect of REAL congressional investigations into administration wrongdoing.

Neil Eggleston is not a political legal wonk. He is, first and foremost, a man who is called to protect politicians and/or administrations who find themselves in serious legal difficulties.

Wise Latina?

"Justice Sotomayor argues explicitly that Michigan’s voters would have been within their rights to, for example, lobby university authorities to adopt race-neutral admissions standards but that by adopting a constitutional amendment insisting on race neutrality, thereby transferring the decision from the education bureaucrats to the people themselves and their constitution, they 'changed the rules in the middle of the game.'
Her opinion is legally illiterate and logically indefensible, and the still-young career of this self-described 'wise Latina' on the Supreme Court already offers a case study in the moral and legal corrosion that inevitably results from elevating ethnic-identity politics over the law.
Justice Sotomayor has revealed herself as a naked and bare-knuckled political activist with barely even a pretense of attending to the law, and the years she has left to subvert the law will be a generation-long reminder of the violence the Obama administration has done to our constitutional order.
"The Court came to the right decision, but its fractured conclusions and the rigorous political activism of its left wing are alarming." National Review

One More Reason to Look Toward 2014 & 2016

With one-third of the Supreme Court with one foot in the grave, and the long term results of Affirmative Action now running the country, the next two elections are as important to this country as ever.
"It ought to be possible, in short, for every American to enjoy the privileges of being American without regard to his race or his color…
As I have said before, not every child has an equal talent or an equal ability or an equal motivation, but they should have the equal right to develop their talent and their ability and their motivation, to make something of themselves. - John Marshall Harlan, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court 1963
You need only read a summation of Justice Sotomayor’s 58-page dissent, (starts on pg.51) where she piles one bad and misleading argument on another, to understand that liberalism is now in a position of insisting that subverting equal protection of the law is actually upholding it.

Happy Lenin’s Birthday

For those of you coming in late to the party, Earth Day” is on Lenin’s Birthday. Not a coincidence, given that the “founder” of Earth Day was much more a “Watermelon” than an actual environmentalist. Watermelon: Thin layer of green of the outside, red to the core.

Let’s review the predictions from the very first so called “Earth Day” back in 1970.

“Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” — George Wald, Harvard Biologist
“Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make. The death rate will increase until at least 100-200 million people per year will be starving to death during the next ten years.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist
“By…[1975] some experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Other experts, more optimistic, think the ultimate food-population collision will not occur until the decade of the 1980s.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist
“It is already too late to avoid mass starvation,” — Denis Hayes, chief organizer for Earth Day
“Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable: by 1975 widespread famines will begin in India; these will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China and the Near East, Africa. By the year 2000, or conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions….By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, and Australia, will be in famine.” — Peter Gunter, professor, North Texas State University
“Scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support…the following predictions: In a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution…by 1985 air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching earth by one half….” — Life Magazine, January 1970
“At the present rate of nitrogen buildup, it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be usable.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist
“Air pollution…is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in the next few years alone.” — Paul Ehrlich, Stanford University biologist
Ok, Ehrlich was sorta right on this, if you restrict his predictions to modern Communist China, where they are showing the typical communist/socialist contempt for the environment.
“By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate…that there won’t be any more crude oil. You’ll drive up to the pump and say, `Fill ‘er up, buddy,’ and he’ll say, `I am very sorry, there isn’t any.’” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist
Now we get to my personal favorite, although probably not Al Gore‘s…
“The world has been chilling sharply for about twenty years,” he declared. “If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age.” — Kenneth Watt, Ecologist....

Squirming in Their Own Pile of Poo

More Woes For Democrats This Fall
Western Journalism
"According to the left leaning Brookings Institute, Common Core is turning into a serious problem Democrats will have to deal with during this coming election cycle.
The socialist’s dream program has ignited a growing backlash from furious parents who don’t want their children exposed to Common Core because it is inefficient at best and inappropriately loaded with sexual content at worst. Given that Common Core has been adopted in forty five states, it will be difficult for most of those who have supported it to dodge responsibility for the mess they have created.

"Sizing the situation up, a Brookings spokesman has commented:
Those populist candidates are running against the Common Core, and they are going to say Washington is interfering with children’s schooling.
Speaking in agreement, a right leaning expert said:
“Common Core opposition is so completely grassroots, and support is so astroturf it is already becoming a primary and general election issue in everything from local school board races to gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races..”
"The issue is “huge among mothers."
Since it will be difficult for Democrats to separate themselves from the teachers’ unions across the country that are the main proponents of the program, they will get the brunt of the coming backlash. Republicans need only say they have always opposed Common Core, or they now oppose it after seeing what it actually includes. Their Democrat opponents will be forced into either agreeing to tear it down and breaking with teachers’ unions, or continuing to support another program voters have come to hate."
