"Obamacare has been the hallmark achievement for this president. The Democrats who once fawned over the absentee Senator-turned-president have seemingly realized that Obamacare may be the one achievement of this two-term president. Having invested massive political capital into this defunct overhaul, the Democrats have tied themselves to a sinking ship." - TPNN

Oh, by the way folks.......

“The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Because the Obama administration's regulations on grandfathering existing plans were so stringent about 85% of those, 16 million, are not grandfathered and must comply with Obamacare at their next renewal. The rules are very complex. For example, if you had an individual plan in March of 2010 when the law was passed and you only increased the deductible from $1,000 to $1,500 in the years since, your plan has lost its grandfather status and it will no longer be available to you when it would have renewed in 2014.
“These 16 million people are now receiving letters from their carriers saying they are losing their current coverage and must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law's benefit mandates––the vast majority by January 1. Most of these will be seeing some pretty big rate increases.” - Weekly Standard

Mystery Tweeter Turns Out to be National Security Official

Man, the Obama administration sure knows how to pick some winners, don’t they? The White House just fired National Security department director Jofi Joseph for tweeting administration secrets and insults to the the President and his staff under a pseudonymous account with the handle @natsecwonk.

Joseph was the director in the non-proliferation section of the National Security Staff at the White House and had apparently been at his mischievous deed for over two years. His actions were described as “tormenting to the foreign policy community with insulting comments and revealing internal Obama administration information,” by The Daily Beast’s Josh Rogin, who broke the story.

As @natsecwonk, Joseph often insulted the appearance and intellectual rigor of his White House superiors, including Secretary of State John Kerry.

Politico reported that Joseph is thought to be behind another controversial Hill account, @dchobbyist, though he did not respond for comment. Reactions on the Hill are still pouring in, but most in the foreign policy community were shocked to learn of Joseph’s antics as @natsecwonk, mostly because he was well-regarded by his peers.

His wife, Carolyn Leddy, is also a well-respected staffer on the GOP side of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Of course, the administration is a little bummed about being thrown under the bus in 140 characters or less.

MFNS Uncovers Lost Hillary Clinton Interview Clips

Middle Finger News has gone to great lengths to uncovered surviving clips of a  Hillary Clinton  interview with Bulgarian State Television believed to have been lost for years. The short clips are from early 1992, about the time Bill Clinton was falling badly in the New Hampshire primary polls, the Gennifer Flowers affair had come to light and hopes of Hillary's chances of becoming First Lady seemingly being dashed.

The interview, shot on state of the art Russian 8mm film was believed to have been destroyed during the tragic nationwide Bulgarian sewer overflow, but even after the 1992 election of Bill Clinton as 42nd President, rumors persisted of frames that survived.

ObamaCare to Auction Surgeries To Lowest Bidder

MFNS - With concerns over rising healthcare cost and outrageous insurance premiums, a new voluntary addition to the ObamaCare reform act to help keep cost manageable has been announced by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and a White House committee headed by Vice President Joe Biden.

"Let Us Help Us" (LUHU) would create a healthcare auction house, where everything from simple dental procedures and mental health counseling to organ transplantation could be submitted and bid on. A person with a high deductible looking to lower the cost of a procedure like having their gall bladder removed, could fill out an online form and have any number of bids to sift through within a matter of minutes.

"We call it Let Us Help Us, and we think it will revolutionize the way we seek health care in this country," Rep. Billy Long (D-MO) one of the initiative's authors, told reporters at a press conference today. "It embraces the essence of the free market system, without the oppressive hand of government regulation Republicans whine about so much.

"It's like eBay for sick folks. This is a real neighbor helping neighbor system we've developed, and it could be a real boon to veterinarians, and some non-health care professionals with special skills to help take up the slack and make a few bucks on the side," said Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Cal), another LUHU supporter.

"People looking to help the sick will be able to search the LUHU website by malady, region, even keyword," noted Sen. Boxer. "We envision neighbors teaming up with neighbors to create co-ops to heal the sick. How much good could a seamstress/wood carver/sausage stuffer co-op achieve helping America's growing trans-gender community by doing sex change operations?  With this addition to ObamaCare, we'll find out."

Reaction to the Democrat public option plan has been mixed, with 23% of those polled suggesting they'd take up arms to see it implemented. A less-vocal majority have expressed some concern over farming their healthcare out to the lowest  bidder.

"I bought a lamp on eBay last year, and that thing sucked," said one woman. "It looked great online, though. Do I really want to trust my hip replacement to a system like that?"

Others see benefits in the open market approach the Democrats have laid out.

"I'm hoping they let illegal Mexicans in the program. That only seems fair, to let them illegals in," said Dr. Shabang X,  personal physician to Leader of the Nation of Islam,  Louis Farrakhan . "I'd be low bid, man. Ever' time."

The first test for the Democrats public option plan will come later this week, when the plan's authors will meet with insurance company CEOs to try and shore up support among Blue Dog and other moderate democrats. With sufficient backing, the Let Us Help Us marketplace could be instituted along with the entire ObamaCare roll out January 1. 2014.

Obama's 'Good Hands People'

They did so well with that 634 Million, let's give em'
$8 Billion more to play with.

WAPO - "Over the past few weeks, if you've been paying attention at all to the unfolding disaster of people trying and failing to sign up for Obamacare online, one name keeps coming up: CGI Federal, the IT contractor that has orchestrated most of the Healthcare.gov Web site. By most accounts, it's been a complete train wreck, for reasons both technical and bureaucratic. "
This is what dough loaded lobbyist and no bid contracts get ya......
"Experience in similar types of projects is very important in getting federal contracts. CGI had done work in the healthcare arena, and not all of it good: Its performance on Ontario, Canada's health-care medical registry for diabetes sufferers was so poor that officials ditched the $46.2 million contract after three years of missed deadlines, the Washington Examiner reported. A spokeswoman for CGI says that both parties are bound by confidentiality agreements, but they're working on resolving the situation."
"Some people think that the system was underfunded: Donald Berwick, who administered the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2010 and 2011, says the site failed because they didn't have enough money to build it from the start. Others point fingers at the Department of Health and Human Services, which took years to issue final specifications, preventing CGI from really getting started until this spring. "If it had been a $4 million Web site, it would've had higher likelihood of being a success," Burfield says. "It's not just CGI. It's any collection of government contractors, if you put them together, will find a way to put together something complex enough to justify $400 million."
"Either way, it's clear that the site itself isn't well constructed: IT professionals told the Wall Street Journal that in addition to specific pieces not working, the whole thing was "built on a sloppy software foundation," potentially due to the haste with which code was written. Slate described just how difficult it is to coordinate multiple contractors creating different components of a complex Web portal."
And bend over and smile Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer. Your money going to create jobs in  CANADA.
"CGI Federal now has an $8 billion pipeline of future task orders — doubling its federal business over the period of a year — including big-ticket items such as $871 million for the Defense Information Services Agency......"
They've learned quickly, and see the U.S. federal government as their area of biggest growth. CGI Federal's health-care practice has grown 90 percent year over year, largely due to the Healthcare.gov project. And for a contractor, ballooning projects are a good thing. "In the Federal Government business, we continue to see more extensions and ceiling increases on our existing work......"
Kinda makes you wonder how much we payed for all those barrycades that were used to keep us out of our national monument?
