Off To The Tower of London With You Acosta!

STREIFF - If there is a single media personality that epitomizes the overweening arrogance, sub-caliber IQ, and lack of self-awareness that is the comic archetype of a television celebrity reporter it is CNN’s Jim Acosta. Ever since CNN decided to position itself as the official mouthpiece of the anti-Trump Resistance, Acosta has been its point man every day in the White House. Just a couple of weeks ago, Acosta tried to get President Trump’s attention…or more accurately, he tried to get attention for himself…by screaming a question from the back of a press conference.

Acosta is a twerp who probably spent all of middle school having other kids flick the backs of his ears as they passed him in the hallway and leaving him cowering in tears in the guidance counselor’s office. On the other hand, given that CNN makes a big deal of this kind of bullshit in its coverage–they portrayed Acosta as some kind of brave truth-teller after his churlish behavior at the last press event–it is probably necessary that he get these smackdowns.
"President Trump refused a question from CNN's Jim Acosta at a joint press conference Friday afternoon with UK Prime Minister Theresa May in Buckinghamshire. Earlier in the press conference, Trump called out CNN after receiving a question from NBC News reporter Hallie Jackson. Trump said NBC is "possibly worse than CNN."
In Acosta style he shouts out "Mr. President, since you attacked CNN, can I ask you a question?"
"I don't take questions from CNN. CNN is fake news. I don't take questions from CNN." Acosta almost brought the press conference to a halt insisting that the U.S. president take his question." - Video
I don’t know what lesson will be learned from this by future presidents. Historically, Democrat presidents (see Clinton and Obama) have been handled with kid gloves by the press and Republican presidents have played the role of good-natured punching bag (see George W. Bush). Strategically, there is zero doubt that Trump’s media strategy is working. Recent research has found that super-majorities of Americans believe the media is pushing its own agenda and CNN is feeling the impact as they are a non-entity among news outlets and are in a death struggle with SpongeBob SquarePants for ratings.

A Creepy Partisan Weasel of the First Order.

The cockiness of Peter Strzok at Thursday’s hearing is a reflection of the immunity that ruling-class mandarins enjoy in liberal Washington. He was testifying from the safety of the deep state and thus knew that he could lie his head off without consequence. How else to explain his unrepentant opening statement, with its blatant anti-Trump special pleading? The statement sounded like it had been written by Rachel Maddow, resting on the lamest and hackiest of MSNBC-style talking points, that “today’s hearing is just another victory notch in Putin’s belt and another milestone in our enemies’ campaign to tear America apart.”

Strzok insulted everyone’s intelligence by insinuating that something other than Hillary’s opposition research had spurred the FBI to investigate her opponent. He couldn’t tell the committee what that was, of course, lest that threaten an “ongoing investigation.” But, trust him, that something was really, really “significant.”

The Strzok on display at the hearing was the same arrogant bureaucrat on display in the texts — an abusive, ruling-class jerk who still thinks he deserves a place on the Mueller probe. Making Mueller look like an ass and cementing his probe’s reputation as a partisan clown show, Strzok insisted that his removal from it had nothing to do with unprofessional behavior but with a mere “appearance” problem, one he blamed not on his own conduct but on Republicans “misinterpreting” his texts. This is chutzpah on a breathtaking scale, which would be inconceivable were the target of his blundering espionage anyone other than Trump. Strzok’s “insurance policy” against Trump had a provision for his career too. He would survive exposure by wrapping himself in the protective gauze of the anti-Trump resistance. - George Neumayr

MSNBC Joins CNN: Beaten in the Ratings by a Wet Sponge

Squinty and Meat Puppet are Devastated

Gloom, Despair and Agony on Me they're mumbling in cable news land. According to the latest Nielsen Media Research, MSNBC and CNN failed in the ratings to even beat home improvement shows and children’s cartoons.
DC - According to Nielsen, Fox New Network marked its 26th consecutive week as the top network in total day viewers. Competitors MSNBC and CNN both struggled to match Fox’s dominance, falling to third and 16th in primetime, respectively.
CNN had a horrible week, managing just 669,000 primetime viewers and losing to the following networks: HGTV, USA, Food Network, TLC, Hallmark, and more. MSNBC fared much better in primetime, finishing third behind HGTV.
HGTV and Nickelodeon — home of Spongebob Squarepants — wiped the floor with CNN and MSNBC in total day viewership. Nickelodeon finished second in total day with 914,000 viewers while HGTV finished third with 814,000. MSNBC trailed behind in fourth place with 763,000, while CNN tied for 9th with the Food Network at 535,000 viewers.
There is not much hope for the one trick pony CNN. But MSNBC, well maybe more Al Sharpton and Joy Reid would help. Yeah, That's the ticket!

John Kerry Proves He's Still Inept at That Foreign Policy Stuff

Liberals are in hysterics and wetting themselves because the President went to Europe and talked tough to European allies and actually had the audacity to question why they don't pay their fair share in defending the continent from Russian aggression. And just like every other times Trump has done something they deem unusual or dangerous, he gets results and liberals are left looking embarrassingly for the next shiny object. As a result of Trump's straightforward tough talk, the NATO nations have agreed to increase their military spending and no one was harder hit than former Secretary of State John Kerry--The Earl of Ketchup/Duke of Heinz--who ceremoniously defined the role of top US diplomat with historic ineptitude and incompetence
"NATO leaders pledged their “unwavering commitment” to boost defense spending on Wednesday, following stern words from President Trump criticizing European leaders for spending too little. The U.S. and European allies signed a declaration stating they are “committed to improving the balance of sharing the costs and responsibilities of alliance membership.” The declaration comes after confrontational and testy discussions between Trump and other NATO leaders."
So Trump dresses down NATO about lack of military spending and they respond by increasing military spending. It seems so simple. Why couldn’t Kerry or Obama do this? I guess I answered my own question. Kerry and Obama.

Kerry posted a statement on the tweeter saying that Trump was “disgraceful and destructive” and called his statement “counter productive.” He also claimed that Trump had undermined the Obama administration’s efforts to get NATO to increase their military spending. I wonder if the news has reached him Trump actually got NATO to do this while he and Barky had failed so miserably.

Kerry implied Trump was stupid, which is funny coming from a guy who paid Iran pallets of cash to continue their nuclear weapons program. Kerry then tried to make it seem like he was tougher on Russia than Trump is. Yeah, same guy who sat around sipping Chardonnay with other useless diplomats as Russia annexed a large portion of the Ukraine. And all this coming from the Secretary of State who summed up the Clinton/Kerry foreign policy years; 'Nothing Says World Peace Like a Box of Potatoes'.

Obviously John Kerry is confused by foreign policy success. This is something he has never experienced before and it is frightening to him. It also probably doesn’t help that Trump’s winning makes Kerry look even more like a blathering idiot.

It's Easy to Tell When The Left Realizes They're Losing, Badly

Yeah, they have very little left in the tank, and it getting more fun to watch every day.

Stephen Colbert and pro-abortion advocacy group NARAL have both feebly tried mocking Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh...........for being named Brett. Colbert, the obnoxious over-the-top critic of the Trump joked Tuesday night on "The Late Show" about playing a drinking "game" that involved pouring himself a drink every time his glass was empty as he watched Trump's announcement of Kavanaugh.
"I don't know much about Kavanaugh, but I'm skeptical because his name is Brett.  That sounds less like a Supreme Court justice and more like a waiter at Ruby Tuesday. Hey everybody! I’m Brett. I’ll be your Supreme Court justice tonight. Before you sit down, let me just clear away these rights for you."
It must be a really sad existence being a comedy writer these day.

In a tweet Tuesday night, NARAL, step-sister to Murder Inc. aka Planned Parenthood, also dismissed Kavanaugh as "some frat boy named Brett" who would take away reproductive rights. NARAL tweeted:
"We'll be DAMNED if we're going to let five MEN—including some frat boy named Brett—strip us of our hard-won bodily autonomy and reproductive rights."

The abortion group did at least know to name Kavanaugh in its tweet. The Women's March sent an email blast about Judge "XX" the night of Kavanaugh's nomination, forgetting to fill in his name as it warned about the threat he posed to their perceived civil rights. They continued to issue draconian warnings about him bringing about the end of women's rights, legal abortion and health care and civil rights that aren't going to happen.  They follow the leader of the 'Opposition to Everything', the Piped Piper of the Left, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer who has said he will oppose Kavanaugh's confirmation with all his strength. But who cares. He would oppose gravity if he knew Isaac Newton was found to be a Republican.

Not Good Enough for Kavanaugh To Say He Will Follow Existing Law

Chuck Schumer keeps moving the goalposts with regards to the answers he expects a Supreme Court nominee to answer, declaring during an interview this morning that it’s no longer good enough for a nominee to say they will follow existing law. CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell asked Schumer about previous statements made by Judge Brett Kavanaugh, regarding Roe v. Wade being binding precedent, and why Schumer believes abortion rights are under threat if Kavanaugh is confirmed.
"When you say you’ll follow binding precedent, that’s been a trick. It is not good enough for them to hide behind this shibboleth that ‘We’ll follow existing law,’ cause when they get on the bench, they change."
O’Donnell asked Schumer if there is anything that Senate Democrats can do to stop the nomination of Kavanaugh, given that Republicans hold a majority in the Senate.
“Yes, well, President Trump with the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh has fulfilled or is fulfilling two of his campaign promises. First, to undo women’s reproductive freedom; second to undo ACA."
"So, I will oppose him with everything I’ve got."
Go for it Chuck. The American public are getting tired of your over the top grandstanding and calling everyone you disagree with the far-right, and you and your hysterical minions being against everything that's being done to making America great again. Yeah, you and Nancy go for it Chuck.
