NOTE TO READERS:  I have not heard from our illustrious MFST Chair of Music, BluesJunky, since July 6th.  I only spoke to him occasionally, and we never met in person, although I would have loved to have gotten him down here and spent a night painting the town red had we had the chance.  In the 4 years of communication, always the gentleman, he never mentioned anything of an illness or a health problem. But who knows. He could be chasing nurses around a hospital covid-19 unit about now.

My biggest hope is he has maybe had a 'flashback' to his younger days and is marching in the street with a protest sign in his hand somewhere.  My biggest fear is he is no longer with us. Please let me be wrong.  If he is gone, he's already missed.  So, I'll lay one down I know a guy who has lived an adventurous and colorful life would appreciate.

"When I was in 10th grade, for some reason my school thought it wise to have a special speaker come in for “political correctness training”.........for high schoolers. This went about as well as you’d think it could.

Anyway, we were on the topic of “mentally challenged” people. We were sternly instructed to henceforth refer to them as “cognitively impaired”, to which someone yelled out “THAT SOUNDS RETARDED”

Now I don’t know if this lady has ever worked with remorseless high schoolers before, but let me tell you, this lady was SHOOK. Her face went as red as a dying star and started her “how dare you” speech. She demanded whoever said it stand up, to which another student shouted “if you think he gonna tattle on himself you might be cOGnITiVeLy IMpaiReD”!

This ladies soul left her body right then and there.

From there she did what old angry ladies do in a case like this, she resorted to the classic “you are all awful children!”  Being the peace keeper I am, I raised my hand. She called on me and I asked “in all seriousness, I don’t understand the point in changing terms to be politically correct” I said, “people will always be cruel and mean. Ok, let’s change the term to cognitively impaired, but please tell me how long until “Cogs” becomes the new slur?”

To this day I feel I made a fair point. But being a 15 y/o sucks and I got 2 weeks detention for “insubordination”. Anyway, short end to the story is for the next 3 years everyone in school called each other Cogs.

I became a legend and the school never dared bring in another PC trainer. This is my legacy. Hope you Cogs are still doing alright. Adulthood is wild ain't."

Birthday Wednesday Open Thread

On this day many years ago in a land far far away, a young Lydia Marie gave birth to what her own Mother was heard to say was the most beautiful baby girl she'd ever seen (second only to Lydia Marie herself of course).

And I, being that baby girl, shall for this day delegate my duties of business to others, I shall sleep as late I wish, eat anything my heart desires and as much as I want, and spend some well earned downtime lounging on the sofa. And after the evenings Fete du l'abondance et beaucoup de vin rouge festivities and celebration with select friends, I shall retire to the boudoir for the night only when I'm good and ready, and not before.

And if it requires panties and a bra, I will assure you, it's not happening today!

AWFL Protester: I'm Not Saying That Black Lives Matter Is All About Me and My White Savoir Complex, But.......

"AWFL" is an acronym coined by Ian Miles Cheong -- it stands for Affluent White Female Liberal, and it's pronounced just as you'd like to pronounce it.  Here we see her kind in the wild as she seeks sympathy and Twitter Validation for incurring sleep deprivation, due to her new hobby of screaming obscenities at strangers every f**king night.

The media,  at least those brave enough to send crews into the bowels of the "peaceful" protests between attacks on the federal courthouse,  prefer human interest stories on the human PR campaigns that are the Wall of Moms *wink wink* in their yellow shirts, the gay Wall of Dads in their orange shirts and leaf blowers, or the Wall of questionable Vets.

NBC News posted, without comment, video of one of those moms, allegedly a single mother who claims she’s sleep-deprived because she has to come down to the courthouse every night and yell "all cops are bastards" at the federal agents because, you know, black lives matter.  Maybe she could tell the “2-cent ninja” shielding her to tell his friends that their continued efforts to set fire to the building aren’t doing anything for the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Left is Just Lying about Fighting Fascism

The left isn’t fighting against fascism. Instead, they are fighting FOR authoritarianism. They claim that their political message transcends the law; that it allows them to control cities; that it allows them to destroy property; that it justifies their designs on canceling heretics; that it permits them to block roads, create no-go zones for non-rioters, prosecute those who stand against them while themselves avoiding persecution.

Leftist-run cities have shown what happens when police and federal law enforcement are demonized and Leftist-run cities have shown what happens when police and federal law enforcement are demonized and unsupported by elected leaders; when local leadership can seize “emergency powers” — then pick and choose who to punish: rioters are exempt from lockdowns; you can sing in the streets but not in churches; masks are required, but not for them.

They can tell you what counts as a substantive meal, essentially holding businesses hostage to their arbitrary and incoherent edicts: pot dispensaries and large warehouse stores can open; gyms and restaurants cannot. They decide what hate is; what racism is; who is unclean; who is deserving of both punishment and reverence. They presume to control and police every narrative, and in that way, control and police every person.

They reduce you to your skin color, your “gender” — but mostly, to your politics: individualism, respect for rule of law, constitutional order and the color-blind equanimity that comes with it — all of these things are reduced to the cancer of “whiteness.”

“Systemic racism” is their empty catechism; it creates a Kafka trap in which you are defined by your original sin of birth, but you can neither receive absolution or forgiveness.

In short, you are defined by your birth, your color, your sex — and there is no escape: either you are born an oppressor who must be fought, or you are born a victim entitled to perpetual grievance, regardless of how much power you actually enjoy. This is the very structure of authoritarianism run through populist fascism.

It is where the left always takes you. The left has brought back segregation as “racial separatism”; they’ve stoked racial and class division; they’ve sought to control speech, which controls thought which ultimately, is meant to constrain you.

While the left riots in the streets, pulls down statues, demands the sacrificial death of pancake salespeople & rice peddlers, & calls for UNEQUAL treatment under the law, with special dispensation for favored identity groups they bellow the self-righteous claim that it is THEY who are fighting fascism.

But know this: fascism is what they ARE. And they prefer that system because they have presumed to be its leadership class, its enforcement mechanism, and its performative philosophers Either “moderates” or those who aren’t especially political wake up to these truisms, or our country as founded will fall.

Resist the conformists. The corporate enablers.

Remember this: in the fight against fascism, YOU are the outlaws, the true guerrilla warriors. Liberty and individualism are our birthrights.

Refuse — ever — to surrender either.

The Lincoln Project - Just a Gaggle of Hucksters

Since its inception late last fall the circle jerk known as The Lincoln Project has raked in millions, but the bulk of the funds (about 90%) paid to enterprises owned by members or gets dispersed directly to them. This group should be known instead as the ‘’Hypocrisy Project’’, based on the facts showing that what they complain the loudest about.

Rick Wilson has been in the midst of a particularly glaring flameout. The man who loves vulgarly describing President Trump’s racism has been exposed as harboring confederate affections. His infamous Rebel Flag beer cooler has rendered that extension of his bile as now moot. But other contradictions have come to light. Wilson has been harping on Trump about his lack of tax return transparency, but that seems projection now. He currently has a massive tax lien on his home. On top of this, the man who enjoys mocking Trump over being broke is also saddled with credit card debt to the tune of tens of thousands. And Wilson is hardly the lone prevaricator.

Fellow member John Weaver, who hails from the dismal son of a mailman John Kasich campaign is especially noteworthy. As the Lincoln Project has not shied away from the disproven Russian collusion story it has just been revealed he was registered as a Russian agent in order to lobby on behalf of Russian interests. It was not a matter of digging into his past either; Weaver obtained this status last summer, long after all matters concerning Russia have been demonized for years. Weaver has also been on the frontlines of referring to Trump as a tax cheat and fraudster. And Weaver has also found himself sitting on a massive tax lien on his home as well. And just to cap it off Weaver has ironically slammed Trump over his failed business dealings. Well the NYPost has found that Weaver and his wife have a lawsuit leveled against them by a Texas mall owner over their clothing business.

Just to complete the trifecta we get the nasty pointy headed Steve Schmidt, who enjoys a preferred status at MSNBC for being a GOP political strategist, is found to be lacking in political heft. His residence is in the state of Utah, but that state has effectively delisted Schmidt from the voting rolls. He has become labeled as an ‘’Inactive voter’’ due to inactivity over the past 2 years, as well as failing to respond to communications looking to confirm his status.

The crowd of self-guilding political ‘’operatives’’ has been gradually exposed on the regular in recent weeks, and the latest has arrived via the New York Post by Reporter Ebony Bowden and her tasty expose’ on the various members of TLP, and most amusing is they are rather upset about it. How dare anyone resort to their own tactics!

The result of this recent piece has brought out the daggers from The Lincoln Project. Bowden has come forward after the release of the article to say that she has been on the receiving end of serious aggression from the members. This comedy showcase sounds like a film reviewer who can be particularly hostile towards certain movies, but then becomes incensed when anyone dares to disagree with their opinion. Only they are permitted to be harsh and nasty, but the moment anyone comes after them they turn ugly.

The funniest part, what has the members of The Lincoln Project most upset is not conjecture and accusations — it is the facts.

And there is the hilarity to be found in this grift. An outfit that pretends to be the true arbiters of conservatism subsists mostly on fawning coverage in the left-wing media, does work strictly in opposition to those on the right, has come out to endorse Joe Biden, and collects the vast majority of its funding from Democrat sympathizers. You have to admire that level of grifting. Getting rich off of doing hack work to line your pockets with the largesse of liberal hysterics…I am completely jealous for not coming up with such a blatant scam.

The media is not telling the whole truth about Portland, even to the point of down playing the fact there is well coordinated violence.  No major network is on site after sunset when BLM leaders whip up the crowd with anti-police rhetoric and violent escalation begins. But it all can be seen on various live-streams on site.

That Creepy Noise Coming From The Basement

I was reminded today that Joe Biden was still running for president.  Remember him?  A commuter train ridin' senator for pretty much his entire life, one who praised southern segregationist,  once used the word 'nigger' thirteen times in a committee meeting, wrote laws that made us the largest incarcerators of it's citizens in the world, then got picked to be the Obama Administrations Official Court Jester.  After that he bumbled his way through a series of circular firing squads debates with roughly 85 other would-be Democratic candidates until they all decided to drop out, the DNC gave him the 2020 nomination and he disappeared into a sunken safe-room.

Joe Biden is running probably the most unusual political campaign in modern American history, making videos in his basement that serve to remind us that he is still in fact seeking the office of commander-in-chief without Barky Obama's teleprompter skills and rivaling Al Sharpton linguistics expertise.  I'm not sure how much of it has to do with lockdown measures, which at most seem to be giving Biden's leftist handlers an excuse to push their own extreme ideas in his name.

In addition to pledging not to hold a single rally, Joe recently went three months without taking a single question from a member of the press.  The sanctimonious Dorks at the Lincoln Project have pointed out that Trump is the first president since Andrew Jackson not to own a dog. This is true. But Biden himself is also a throwback to the Age of Jackson by refusing to give public speeches or hold events, or do anything else that would give the general public the impression that he could actually handle the job of commander-in-chief. It is possible that, despite his recent protests to the contrary, he will even find an excuse not to debate Trump, as Tom Friedman and others have advised him. 

If you think about it, there is one remarkable thing about this strategy.  Like Hillary four years ago, Biden is making his opponent the focus of the election, with more or less total airtime from the media. Last time around it seems not to have occurred to anyone that at some point you have to make the case for why you are good alongside the stuff about the all-consuming badness of your opponent.

Back in early February it looked as if  DJT had emerged from three years of show-boating hearings and Democratic scandal mongering more or less unscathed, with record-low unemployment figures. But this is not the country we live in today.

According to our betters in the media, the vast majority of the American people would prefer something that seems like a return to normal. "Normal" here refers to a country in which more Americans died of drug overdoses each year than were killed during the war in Vietnam, continually rising Obamacare induced health-care costs, obesity, depression. This is true for the same reason that it does not matter that the atmosphere of chaos we have spent the last three and a half years reading about was largely a matter of media selectivity. (Ask yourself how CNN would have covered something like Fast and Furious if it had taken place during this administration, much less a tragedy like the one in Benghazi.) Under a Biden administration all of this would disappear.

It would no longer be assumed that it is unconstitutional for presidents to use leverage to secure desired foreign policy outcomes or that meeting with Russian leaders (as every American president has done for more than half a century) was treasonous. Deportations would continue and income inequality would rise. The news, though, would make for more wholesome reading again. And the Tweeter would suddenly revert back to the land of unfunny comedians and being simply what journalists do with most of their time and not the source of their reporting as well.

Sure I’ve lied about everything else, but this time I’m telling the truth......

Democrats and the media are currently on a kick that DJT will try to steal the upcoming election, and even if he loses won’t relinquish power. Meanwhile, the notorious liar Adam Schift is crying about a "disinformation campaign against democrats."

Adam Schiff bitching about disinformation is like Michael Moore complaining about obesity; it’s his most obvious flaw. The same man who lied for years about having proof of Russian collusion and created the entire false narrative behind the unsuccessful Presidential coup attempt is now crying that there is a foreign disinformation campaign against him and the democrats in Congress. Having exhausted all his other avenues of bullshit, Shifty is now lying about lying.

Schiff sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray demanding he protect them against a thing they just made up:

"We write to request that the Federal Bureau of Investigation provide a defensive counterintelligence briefing to all members of the House of Representatives and the Senate regarding foreign efforts to interfere with the 2020 U.S. presidential election. 

We are gravely concerned, in particular, that Congress appears to be the target of a concerted foreign interference campaign, which seeks to launder and amplify disinformation in order to influence congressional activity, public debate, and the presidential election in November. 

Given the seriousness and specificity of these threats, as members of congressional leadership and the congressional intelligence committees we believe it is imperative that the FBI provide a classified defensive briefing to all Members of Congress and that the briefing draw on all-source intelligence information and analysis, consistent with due regard for the protection of sensitive intelligence sources and methods."

The letter was signed by Schiff, Nancy Peglosi, Chuck Schumer, and Mark Warner. It also demands that the FBI provide this briefing before the August recess or else.

First off, this looks like Schiff and company are demanding that the FBI pony up some information he can conjure up a interference/collusion twist and leak to the NYT and friends. It doesn’t have anything to do with foreign interference but rather, controlling the narrative. Democrats are the single biggest source of disinformation and the liberal media propaganda machine are the ones who force-feed the bullshit to the American public no questions ask.

Secondly, how the hell does Schiff know about this foreign disinformation campaign when apparently the U.S. Intelligence Services and the FBI don’t?  Yes, he’s the head of the House Intelligence Committee, but he gets information from the Intelligence Community.  This letter comes off like Schiff knows things that the FBI doesn’t, which means he’s once again trying to plant some kind of lie in the media undermine DJT and his administration.

Instead bowing to Schiff’s demand for a briefing on his make-believe foreign disinformation campaign, it would be nice if the FBI actually held Shifty accountable for the real disinformation campaign he’s been engaged in against a President for the last almost 4 years. This scumbag has lied about everything, sometimes under oath, and should be tossed in a federal pen.
