Dancing Madly Backwards and Other Unnecessary Observations

Your average American is a busy, low-information voter. They follow the big developments, but not much else. What most Americans know is: Uberprosekutor Mueller came up with a donut. The president beat the impeachment like a rented mule. Mitt Romney and his Holier-Than-Thou Honor Guard are sad and indignant. The House Nanny threw a public, speech-ripping hissy and Adam Schiff looks ten years older than he did last week.

The average Americans tuned out the first impeachment nonsense toward the beginning. Extending the franchise and throwing another installment of “Impeach the M***erf*****!” at the country might genuinely annoy a lot of Americans who remember when Congress used to do government things and stuff. To be sure, politics and government still have deadly serious consequences for some individuals and for the country. But for average Americans, politics is now reality TV, filled with endless turnabout and gotchas, lunatic MSNBC conspiracy theories, CNN and Fox News confessionals, and mucho schadenfreude.

Democrats already dropped their A-bomb. Impeachment was the apex of their grudge quest. Everything else is a letdown. Absent some huge plot development outside their control–like a war–there’s nothing more dramatic they can throw at the president now. The best the dems can hope for now is to continue to dance madly backwards and keep hitting the same high note in the faint hope that something grabs the public’s attention.

As for drama offerings: the president has nowhere to go but up. He’s been playing defense for three years, the cowboy who gets beat nearly to death by the outlaw gang at the beginning of the film. Everyone, including low-info voters, know that the president stands to mete out some epic payback. Payback makes for riveting entertainment. The president has already begun, with the sacking of the weasel Vindman kids and Gordon Sondland.  Critics will sit on the edge of their seats waiting for the poundings to commence, then discuss said poundings in their usual verbose exhausting detail.

And a view of things 2020 from a stompy foot progressive........
"Democrats have systematically rat-fuck every group in their tent: labor, the poor, minorities, criminal defendants, students, homeowners, media consumers, environmentalists, civil libertarians, pensioners — everyone but donors.
After a vote in Iowa that reeked of third-world treachery — from monolithic TV propaganda against the challenger to rumors of foreign intrusion to, finally, a “botched” vote count that felt as legitimate as a Supreme Soviet election — the Democrats have become the reactionaries they once replaced.
Coinciding with the flatulent end of the party’s impeachment gambit, and the related news that Donald Trump is enjoying climbing approval ratings, the Blue Party was exposed as an incompetent lobby for doomed elites, dumb crooks with nothing left to offer but their exit.
To paraphrase the Joker: What do you get when you cross a political party that’s sold out for decades, with an electorate that’s been abandoned and treated like trash."
Answer: What you fucking deserve!" - Matt Taibbi, Rolling Stone
Quite an indictment of the Clinton/Obama years wouldn't you say??

A Random Act of Journalism

Chief January 6th Investigator Makes Shocking Admissions,
and Committee Members Covered Them Up

NBC News, accidentally I'm sure, committed a random act of journalism on Tuesday, interviewing the Chief January 6th Investigator for the January 6th committee, Tim Heaphy.  What Heaphy revealed to Lester Holt may be the most significant admission regarding January 6th since the event took place.

Previously, surveillance videos had shone how complicated and confusing the situation was. But according to Heaphy, the attack was preventable before the first person stepped foot on the Capitol grounds.

Heaphy reveals that the intelligence prior to January 6th "was direct and not ambiguous". The FBI knew that people were going to attempt to get inside the Capitol Building.  Instead of trying to prevent the attack, recent revelations showed that the FBI played along, having informants within the Proud Boys organization.

According to Holt, committee members like Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff purposely suppressed that damning information in the final report in order to keep the focus solely on Donald Trump.

In other words, the committee covered the corrupt FBI's ass, put politics above exposing the intentional failures of federal law enforcement who could have prevented the whole thing.

The Jan 6 Final Report is a sham.

Committee members actively covered up the information in order to continue their partisan pursuit of Trump. - READ MORE

Dems Count on Media to Muddy The Waters Leading into Their Impeachment Gamble

Journalists use the tool of "anonymous sources" to push out stories of dubious repute, to push agendas, and do the bidding of their chosen political party. They hide behind the first amendment and defend the practice by saying it’s the only way you can get people to talk. But there are two major problems with this:

First, by definition a person who needs anonymity to be able to talk is probably not supposed to be talking, which means he or she is betraying someone else’s trust or privacy by doing so. And second, if we don’t know who the journalist’s source is then we’re left to assess the credibility of the report based on how much we trust the journalist, which they have made hard to do.

That’s not how this is supposed to work and with the whistleblower complaint concerning Ukraine, we’ve got that same problem, but an even more severe case of it. Not only do we not know who the whistleblower’s sources are, we don’t even know who the whistleblower is. So we’re being asked to trust second-hand reports from anonymous sources, conveyed to us by a “whistleblower” who is himself anonymous, and admits to not having witnessed any of what he’s complaining about.

And is it more than a coincidence that this complaint surfaced and was directed to the House Intelligence Committee just after Adam Schiff expressed numerous complaints in August 2019 accusing DJT of abusing aid to Ukraine to hurt Joe Biden. This includes an August 28 tweet that closely resembled the whistleblowing complaint.

Is it any surprise, then, that key details of the whistleblower’s story are falling apart? We already know there are details of the whistleblower’s complaint that are directly contradicted by the call transcript, such as Trump demanding a quid pro quo and Trump asking about Biden eight times. Now we know the whistleblower got at least some of the call participants wrong.  Is anyone starting to wonder if the whistleblower is Christopher Steele? Because this is starting to sound about as accurate as his notorious dossier.

The media will continue to dissect every syllable of every statement going forward and read some kind of devious intention to every word. Known unreliable media outlets will continue to introduce unsubstantiated rumors and old unproven unsourced news stories into the news cycle and never ending anti-Trump panel discussions to be referenced in later committee hearings as truth, dems in turn feed media talking points. Rinse and repeat. You can also expect a lot of want-to-be Woodward & Bernsteins "throwing crap out to see if anyone denies it" type journalism. This is the basis on which House Democrats presume to impeach the president, with media as their bullhorn.

UPDATE: Anyone who watched any 30 min block of CNN today saw the above paragraph illustrated para excellence.....

The Impeachment Frenzy Is a Fire Hose of…....

by Jon Gabriel

Following political news is often compared to drinking from a fire hose. This is true on a slow day let alone the past week-plus of impeachment fever. Since the first Ukraine story hit, major media outlets have torn into Trump like piranhas on an ox carcass. Reporters have declared “we’ve got him this time” every day since 2015; they don’t want to miss their latest chance, damn the facts.

And there are so many, ahem, “facts.” Each hour, another blockbuster hits. It takes about 90 minutes to prove many of these scoops false or at least questionable. By then, another blockbuster has hit, and another, and another. It’s a fire hose, alright. A fire hose of …....

Let’s just say the media uncorked a hydrant spraying taurine excreta throughout the Beltway and beyond. The fountain of feculence is hitting everyone in Trump’s orbit, from staffers to foreign leaders. The torrent of sewage is so intense, it’s splashing back on Trump’s accusers in the media and politics. Before Adam Schiff can shake the night soil off his too-tight suit, reporters uncap new firehoses showering more steer stool in every direction.

No one’s even holding the hoses at this point; they’re spasmodic snakes, spraying dung in every direction from Kyiv to Canberra. Everyone will come out looking awful; Democrats, Republicans, pundits — you name it. Instead of a logical impeachment roll-out to win support among moderates and a few errant Republicans, the common voter will likely damn everyone involved.

Yes, Trump’s Ukraine call was questionable but it certainly doesn’t rise to the level of impeachment. Hunter Biden’s cashing in on his dad’s name is obviously corrupt; most Democratic voters would agree with that. Investigating foreign influence on our elections is a good thing, whether it’s coming from Democrats or Republicans

Impeachment has been the left’s goal since December 2016 — before Trump even took office. Ukraine is just another bite of the apple after the Mueller report failed so spectacularly. The media hysteria over Ukraine feels a lot like the recent Greta hysteria. There’s no time to absorb facts, discuss options, or weigh pros and cons. We need to act now or else!

Hysteria is a poor strategy. It didn’t work for climate change or Kavanaugh or the many other panics we’ve been subjected to since Trump took office. How Trump’s detractors think this will end well is beyond me.

No City, No County or Parish, State or Government Worldwide Was Prepared for a Response to the Coronavirus. To say Otherwise is Just a Lie

But it won't prevent the pus filled life form known as Adam Schiff  from trying to capitalize on the Lie on behalf of Democrats.

Adam Schiff's Circus Comes Complete With Drag Queen

MRC - Spotted towering over the gray and blue suits packed into the first day of President Donald Trump’s impeachment hearing was an enormous blond wig — that of Pissi Myles, a drag performer from Asbury Park, New Jersey.  Pissi Myles, as he likes to call himself (please Lord, we hope that doesn’t mean what we think it means), apparently fancies himself a journalist with a valid interest in covering impeachment politics.

Pissi, a clearly overweight male, was wearing an offensively red, way-too-short dress, sparkly red heels, and a curly blonde wig so ostentatious that Honey Boo Boo would have fainted on sight.  It’s a nice reminder of just how much of a circus the Dems’ attempt at removing Trump is, with freaks like Pissi Myles being the enthusiastic rent-a-clowns. It says a lot about the Democratic party when drag queens have become their shock troopers.

NBCNews.com reported on the attendance of “the award-winning drag performer,” composing a headline that would have made the founding fathers seriously contemplate abandoning their American experiment. Read it and weep: “Drag Queen Sashays into Trump Impeachment Hearing.”

The most outlandish part of it all was that Miss Myles had her reporting rig all set up and ready to go. She was holding her phone with an extension arm, had her headphones in, and was giving viewers an up close and personal account of the morning’s proceedings.

NBCNews asked Miles how his day was going, to which he replied in classic camp fashion, “It’s a crazy day in Washington! I’m flipping my wig over the high-energy proceedings today.” Hmm, wow. Though Pissi was comically aware of the spectacle he generated, adding, “Tensions are high, and the bar for who’s allowed in the Longworth House is very, very low.”

You can say that again.

J. Fatman Nadler and his Liberal Legal Intelligentsia Sideshow

House Judiciary Committee chairman J. Fatman Nadler (D-N.Y.) taken over as ringmaster for the ongoing impeachment circus. He’s billing his opening act as an inquiry into the “historical and constitutional basis of impeachment” and “the Framers’ intent.”

Don’t be fooled by Nadler’s scholarly posturing. He isn’t planning a civics lesson. Democrats are hell-bent on impeaching Trump, so Nadler has to rewrite American history and massage the meaning of the Constitution’s impeachment clause to fit the pile of non-evidence BS Adam Schiff’s Intelligence Committee has produced.

They swear they’re reluctant to drag the nation into impeachment, but their duty to defend the rule of law requires it. Democrats and their hand-picked legal experts argued that a president can be impeached without breaking a law. Suddenly impeachment isn’t about upholding the rule of law. The grounds are broader. Wide enough to drive a truck through.

The Framers couldn’t specify federal law violations because there were no federal laws yet. But today, it’s hard for any citizen to steer clear of the tangled web of federal laws. Still the impeachers can’t find a law Trump’s broken. The liberal legal intelligentsia is to spin impeachment to serve their politics.

Harvard law professor Noah Feldman, one of four academics Nadler is calling to testify, has been gunning for Trump since day one, just like many House Dems. In an April 2017 interview, Feldman already urged impeachment. The grounds? Trump’s criticisms of the press. Feldman claims “the real purpose of impeachment at the deepest level is for Congress to express its beliefs about what the right way to be president is.”

Madison would have been appalled, and Americans today need to beware.
