Finally Someone Stands Up and Says It

Gov. Bobby Jindal – Ban Flights From Ebola Countries

It seems like the most obvious things take a long time to filter their way through Washington, DC. As is often the case, a Republican governor took the lead in speaking out about a national security issue and a need for action at the federal level.

On Friday, Bobby Jindal, the Governor of Louisiana voiced his concern about the emerging Ebola outbreak in the United States, stating his position that Obama should immediately restrict travel to the U.S. from “Ebola stricken” nations.
“We should stop accepting flights from countries that are Ebola stricken. Even countries in Africa have cut back on or stopped accepting flights from countries with Ebola outbreaks.”
"It  it was ‘unlikely’ that Ebola would reach the U.S. Well, it has, and we need to protect our people. But the Obama Administration keeps saying they won’t shut down flights. They instead say we should listen to ‘the experts.’ In fact, they said it would be counterproductive to stop these flights.”
“That statement defies logic. How exactly would stopping the entry of people potentially carrying the Ebola virus be counterproductive? This seems to be an obvious step to protect public health in the United States.”
Any type of restriction on the open access of our country to anyone around the globe is met with resistance by the open-borders, end of American sovereignty regime. If Americans get sick and die, it’s just the price we pay for our fundamental transformation. Protecting the American public is not a priority for this regime, it never has been and it never will be. Protecting and advancing their agenda is the primary concern.
