It was only a matter of time until the war on Confederate statues metastasized to culture and the first target it seems is “Gone With the Wind”, considered one of the greatest American movies ever made and currently #4 on the American Film Institute’s Top 100 movies of all time. 

The Orpheum Theater in Memphis Tenn. have started the ball rolling by deciding to drop the classic 1939 movie set in the plantation era South, with a backdrop of the Civil War, from its annual Summer Movie Series due to negative feedback following the films last showing earlier this month.

“As an organization whose stated mission is to ‘entertain, educate and enlighten the communities it serves’, the Orpheum cannot show a film that is insensitive to a large segment of its local population,” the theater’s operators said in a statement. The historic theater in Downtown Memphis has shown the movie for decades, but this year’s event “generated numerous comments,” leading to the decision." - WREG.com Memphis

By deeming a classic like “Gone With the Wind” which won Eight Academy Awards to be so offensive that it is effectively being censored will only embolden the cultural jihadists to go after other films. Can we say Cowboys and Indians??

The film has been attack before as I wrote in this post from 2015 about flap-jawed flunkey actors turned film critics are like annoying barking dogs or someone who stands next to you in a art museum and insistently explains the meaning of a painting, who at the time were then starting to criticize the film.

But anyone who's ever read Margaret Mitchell's book "Gone With the Wind" will recognize immediately this is not a story about the civil war, but a fictional story set during the time of the civil war.  And I guess the present day PC crowd have forgotten, even though written by a southerner, some northern liberal film critics of the time lauded the film as a sort of elitist glove slap at a lost cause and backward Southern culture, and the film did not initially play well in the South. 

But now, the left deems it insensitive. Go figure.....

Democrats Do Love Them Some Hate and Bigotry

For one hundred years after the Civil War the democrats remained the party of  bigotry. They terrorized whole parts of the country, and fought every attempt at passing civil rights legislation, all the way up until the 1960's.

And now, after years of putting forth phony, wasteful, unrealistic programs in the guise of compassion, in many ways just re-enslaved large segments of the blacks population with government dependency, all for their purpose of a vote. They managed to convince  two whole generations through the education system and media that they, and only they,  held the moral high ground in America. Time has shown otherwise. They have only offered limp wristed acknowledgement of their sins on America.

And now, as democrats play footsie with Antifa under the table and gently touch hands behind their backs, refusing to denounce their violence and anti constitutional ideals even as another violent hate filled, anti-white and anti-law enforcement Black Nationalist group lines up with their fascist minions.

Like Black Nationalist, the democrats believed the election of Barack Obama ushered in a new age of minority dominated rule. It was now theirs. But their dream is shattered and the democrats are slowly turning towards openly aligning themselves with hate once again.

Case in point, this from a  piece at todays Daily Caller:

"An armed Antifa group is launching a new cell in Philadelphia, with support from the “alt-left” alternative media. The group currently hosts anti-police workshops called “Our Enemies in Blue.” The group draws inspiration from convicted murderers and calls for violence against the police, theft of goods, and armed insurrection. Antifa websites like It’s Going Down, Sub.Media and Insurrection News have been promoting the group, which calls itself the Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement."

Taking pride in the “legacy” of “Philadelphia’s rich revolutionary tradition,” RAM cites Mumia Abu Jamal, the Black Panther activist who shot and killed Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981. It also cites Russell Shoats, who shot a police officer in the back five times in 1970. Similar to Antifa, the actions of the Black Panthers have been described as having a “very undefined purpose of assaulting police officers.”

The group calls on members to “expropriate” or “take away” goods, lands, and tools to “begin the revolutionary process.” Expropriation is another way of saying “seize” or “steal.” 

Despite active calls for violence against law enforcement and revolution against the government, the liberal media has been surprisingly lenient in its coverage of Antifa, depicting them as righteous crusaders against the rise of white supremacy."

BALTIMORE, MD (WUSA9) - "Activists lifted a modern sculpture depicting a pregnant African-American "Lady Liberty" onto the pedestal where a monument to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson was removed overnight.

The new statue is not sanctioned by the City of Baltimore which owns the site, but there was no immediate action to remove it by police or city officials. The removal of the Lee-Jackson monument and three other Confederate statues was ordered by Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh. Pugh told reporters she ordered the removals as a matter of public safety. In 2015 plaques were placed on the Lee-Jackson statue calling the monuments examples of the revisionist history "Lost Cause" movement.

Pugh said the monuments have been moved to safe locations for storage, but she did not say where. One city council member is calling for the destruction of the statues."

This time it was California Democrat Barbara Lee telling the audience "Trump wasted no time in implementing the hateful agenda that he ran on.  It's an all out assault on our fundamental civil and human rights" 

Lee, like her fellow CBC members Elijah Cummings, John Lewis, Maxine Waters, Kamala Harris, John Conyers and Keith Ellison (who's little segregated club are provided its own offices, staff and lavish budget at taxpayer expense) are allowed to shield their bigotry with their skin color as they spew their lies and sometime blatant anti-white propaganda in the Media. This is also the same Barbara Lee who tried to nullify the 2004 election of George Bush by voting not to count Ohio's Electoral Votes, thus swing the election to John Kerry. 

"President Trump, she told the audience, has “wasted no time in implementing the hateful agenda that he ran on.” Lee pointed to the so-called Muslim ban, transgender military ban, healthcare reform efforts, and Commission on Election Integrity among other recent Republican actions to illustrate her argument.

She is also the same nutcase who recently suggested that the appointment of former USMC General John Kelly as Trump’s new White House chief of staff was the equivalent of an extremist military junta taking over the country. 

Sane people don’t listen to race-baiting crackpots like this woman. Unfortunately,  California seems to continue to elect more then their share of these bigoted wackos that help disrupt getting anything good done for the country because they act as if gone  from the first black president back to the 1960's overnight.  And people like Barbara Lee seem to ignore things like THIS.

The NYTs: White Wimmens is Racist!

The New York Times published an essay Wednesday titled "Power Play" in a section they call "Was That Racist," by one of their affirmative Action reporters named Greg Howard. In his essay self absorbed rant he singled out white women for not moving out of his way when walking toward him on city sidewalks, not allowing him straight path. At times when he’s had to step off the sidewalk into the road, the writer turns “furious” because he “feels small.”

"When white women are in my path, they almost always continue straight, forcing me to one side without changing their course. This happens several times a day; and a couple of times a week, white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when I’m standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious." 

"Do they refuse to acknowledge me because they’ve been taught that they should fear black men, and that any acknowledgment of black men can invite danger? Do they refuse to acknowledge me because to alter their route would be to show their fear? Do they not see me? Can they not see me?"

Now, as a women, you REALLY don't want to hear what I have to say about Mr. Howard and his disrespectful, de-evolving culture. But I am interested in what you have to say.

New Years Resolutions for the Smug, Liberal Millennial Know-nothings...

The following is from Matt Walsh’s Tuesday column "Hey, smug millennial liberals — here are some New Year’s resolutions for you." He wrote this in response to the idiotic video MTV made about New Years Resolutions for white people. Every single one of these resolutions is spot on. Especially the first one.

Resolution 1: Stop being bigots.

Before you make some blanket statement about white men, imagine what the statement would sound like if you replaced “white men” with any other demographic group. For example, the video begins by saying, “Hey white guys, here are a few things you could do better in 2017.” Now imagine a video that began, “Hey black women, here are a few things you could do better in 2017,” or, “Hey Mexicans, here are a few things you could do better in 2017,” or, “Hey transgendered Asians, here are a few things you could do better in 2017.”

You would need months of counseling after watching any of those, wouldn’t you? And why is that? Well, because you’re incredibly sensitive, but also because you would most certainly consider it the height of bigotry for anyone to spend two minutes telling black people, or Mexicans, or homosexuals all of the things they need to stop doing and stop saying and stop believing. And you’d probably be right.

Now here’s the thing: you don’t have a bigotry hall pass. You don’t get to heap scorn and hatred on white men and then walk away feeling like you’re any better than the average white supremacist. In fact, you’re probably worse. Or at least you represent something that’s worse. White (male) supremacy is not a mainstream ideology. It’s roundly rejected by almost everyone all across the political spectrum. But black supremacy, woman supremacy, gay supremacy — the belief that these groups are morally and intellectually superior to white men — is very much a part of the mainstream. They teach it in college, which is probably where you picked it up.

Your bigotry is worse than any other kind of bigotry in America precisely because it’s so popular and so accepted. Worst of all, it’s the only kind of bigotry that can often be mistaken for virtue. But bigotry is bigotry all the same. You are bigots. So, stop it.

Resolution 2: Stop spreading the myth that America is inherently racist and sexist.

America isn’t great for anyone who isn’t a white guy? Maybe you should tell that to our black president. Actually, he may very well agree with you, but that’s because he shares in your delusions and prejudices.

You may notice that many non-whites and non-men stream into this country from all across the globe every year. In fact, your ancestors did the same. The girl who delivered the “America isn’t great” line in the video is a minority herself. That means her parents or grandparents came here precisely because this country is far greater than the one they fled. Perhaps she can drive home from her expensive college in the car her parents bought her, walk into their nice, climate controlled home, and inform them that America isn’t great for her. Maybe she can convince them that she’d like to return to the poverty and tyranny in whichever country her family originates. Something tells me they will not be anxious to join her.

I would argue that the “greatness” of America has taken a severe hit because of its increasingly godless, progressive, decadent culture. But that’s the kind of culture you guys want and have fought to establish, so you have no reason to complain about it. As far as you’re concerned, America is very near perfect. You can wear your nice clothes, talk on your nice phones, go to college, say whatever you want, think whatever you want, do whatever you want, make racist videos, and bask in a culture that largely reflects and reinforces your flawed worldview. What in God’s name are you complaining about? If this isn’t great enough for you, I hate to think how you’ll react if things ever get legitimately bad in this country.

Resolution 3: Develop an iota of humility and gratitude.

We’ve mostly covered the gratitude piece. You have many reasons to be grateful, especially if you’re a racial minority or a woman, knowing that you have it better here than you’d have it virtually anywhere else on the globe. And as triggering as this idea may be, you also have many reason to be grateful to the white men you spend all day whining about.

It was mostly white men who founded this country. It was mostly white men who developed it. It was mostly white men who innovated our technology, medical advancements, etc. It was mostly white men who saved the entire globe from catastrophe several times in the 20th century alone. No, it wasn’t exclusively white men, but mostly. And you ought to recognize that, and be grateful for it.

This also speaks to humility. If you’re a progressive college-aged millennial, you have absolutely no standing to lecture anyone about anything. You haven’t done anything with your life. You haven’t accomplished anything. You haven’t sacrificed anything. You have no wisdom. You know very little, and far less than you think. Humble yourself and start listening for a change. And then maybe when you’ve worked a job, gotten married, had some kids, read some books that weren’t assigned to you by a college professor, had a few ups and downs, encountered life fully detached from the bosom of your parents and academia, then maybe your opinions will carry some weight. But, if you follow those steps, your opinions will also have changed drastically by then.

Resolution 4: Stop denying reality.

You live in a physical universe. It’s important to know a few things about that universe: First, it exists. Second, it has laws. Third, you can’t change those laws. Fourth, as my friend Ben Shapiro might say, it doesn’t care about your feelings.

An unborn human doesn’t lose its humanity just because you don’t want it to be human. A man doesn’t become a woman just because he’d prefer not to have a penis. The fundamental nature of something can’t be altered at all, by any force, but especially not by the force of your imagination. God Himself cannot make 2 plus 2 equal 5, because that is inherently irrational and therefore inherently impossible. Despite what you may have been told, you are not God. And if God can’t do it, your chances of success are considerably diminished.

People are people. Men are men. Women are women. These are the basic facts of life, the parameters of existence, and you will not be able to function as a normal, decent human being until you accept them. But again, this will take some humility. It really requires only the slightest hint of modesty to accept that you are not more powerful than God. It’s disturbing to think that so many of you do not possess even that much of it.

Resolution 5: Get rid of all of your buzzwords.

They’re all stupid and they make you sound stupid when you use them. None more so than “mansplaining.” If a man happens to be teaching you something or offering instruction, as I am doing here, he is not “mansplaining.” He’s simply explaining. He’s a man explaining things. His explanations are not made illegitimate by the fact that he is a man.Indeed, if that were the case, we’d have to throw out everything that was “mansplained” to us by Einstein, Newton, Galileo, Copernicus, Da Vinci, Aristotle, Socrates, Aquinas, and so on. In other words, if we were to scoff at and dismiss every insight or discovery given to us by some misogynistic mansplainer, we would very quickly find ourselves back in the Stone Age worshiping the Sun god and dying of diarrhea and Typhoid.

I suppose if a millennial feminist could have been there when Aristotle wrote Ethics, or when Copernicus posited heliocentricism, or when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered the “I Had a Dream” speech, she would have given a patronizing smirk and lectured about the dangers of mansplaining. I guess, then, it’s a good thing that those were more serious times populated by more serious sorts of people.

Resolution 6: Stop worshiping Beyonce.

Since you brought it up, let me state for the record that, no, not everyone loves her. I mean, I love her in the sense that I am obligated as a Christian to love all human beings. But as a singer I finder her bland and uninteresting, and the content of her songs I find illiterate, vile, and degrading. But even if she were a real musician and her songs were intelligent and substantive, I’d still warn against worshiping her or any other pop star.

Governor Moonbeam Is Having None Of Donald Trump’s Climate Crap

Ground Control To Governor Moonbeam…

Speaking to a room of scientists Wednesday, California Gov. Jerry Brown vowed to protect the state's progress in the fight against global warming and challenge any attempt by Donald Trump to interfere with climate science.

"We've got the scientists, we've got the lawyers, and we're ready to fight. We're ready to defend. California is no stranger to this fight.. Whatever Washington thinks they are doing, California is the future."

And in true classic Jerry Brown style he suggested the state might even launch its own space program if Trump follows through with his advisers' efforts to end NASA's role in climate science.

"If Trump turns off the satellites, California will launch its own damn satellite," Brown said to loud applause. "We're going to collect that data."

"A lot of people say, ‘What the hell are you doing, Brown? You’re not a country. We will set the stage. We’ll set the example and whatever Washington thinks they are doing, California is the future.”

Brown threw so much shade in so many directions that solar panels in the immediate area experienced a brief decrease in output.  He singled out the “clowns” at Breitbart for mocking California’s efforts to reduce methane emissions from agriculture and landfill as merely regulating “cow farts,” although frankly, we think Gov. Brown may be missing an opportunity to enlist the inherent hilarity of cow farts in the fight against greenhouse gases.

UN Pulls Large Breasted White Woman's Ambassadorship After Complaints

A voluptuous American icon has been dropped as a Special United Nations Ambassador after a viral petition called for her removal because she’s depicted as an attractive white woman.

The petition, allegedly written by “Concerned United Nations staff members” and addressed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, calls for the U.N. to “reconsider” their choice of Wonder Woman for the role of Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls.

The petition authors took offense to Wonder Woman being a “large breasted, white woman,” despite admitting she was created as a feminist icon:

"Wonder Woman was created 75 years ago. Although the original creators may have intended Wonder Woman to represent a strong and independent “warrior” woman with a feminist message, the reality is that the character's current iteration is that of a large breasted, white woman of impossible proportions, scantily clad in a shimmery, thigh-baring body suit with an American flag motif and knee high boots –the epitome of a “pin-up” girl."

The petition reached over 44,000 signatures, just short of its 45,000 goal, before the U.N. decided to pull the character. The Wonder Woman appointment came after many women were dismayed that another man, Antonio Guterres, the former prime minister of Portugal, was chosen to be the next secretary-general, even though more than half the candidates were women.

This is how silly feminist thinking has come. Wonder Women was not created 75 years ago to empower little girls. If it wasn't for horny pimple faced 13 year old boys who read comic books, no one would know who Wonder Women is.

Need More Proof Progressivism is not Very Progressive

Economist Stephen Moore writes in his column at IBD that blue states of America are in a depression. He didn't mean the collective funk of Hillary fans because they lost the election to Donald Trump. He's talking about an economic malaise in the blue states that went for Hillary Clinton.  Moore called them the “loser states.” They're all “progressive.” They have high tax rates, high welfare payments, heavy regulation, environmental “extremism” and very high minimum wages. Most of them have laws against drilling for oil or any kind of fossil fuels.

Of the ten states that Democrats won by the largest margins, California, Massachusetts, Vermont, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Illinois, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, all lost domestic migration (excluding immigration) between 2004 and 2014. Nearly 2.75 million more Americans left California and New York than migrated to those states.

“The whole left-wing playbook is on display in the Clinton states, and people are leaving in droves. Day after day, they are being bled to death. So much for liberalism creating a worker’s paradise.”

Looking at the ten states that had the largest percentage vote for Trump, Moore says eight of them – Wyoming, West Virginia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Dakota and Idaho – had population gains.

"This is part and parcel of one of the greatest internal migration waves in American history, as blue states, especially in the Northeast, are getting clobbered by their low-tax, smaller-government rivals in the South and the mountain regions.

The job gains in the “Red States” that Trump won by the widest margins has twice the job creation of the “Blue States” that Hillary won big in.

It's easy to understand why people might want to leave gray and rusting New York. But California? California has, arguably, the most beautiful weather, mountains and beaches in the country, and yet people keep fleeing the state that is supposed to be a progressive utopia. What doesn't make California and New York paradise is the high cost of living — thanks to expensive environmental regulations, forced union policies and income tax rates that are the highest in the nation, at 13% or more. 

Florida and Texas are right-to-work states with no income tax. Is it really a shocker that people would choose zero income tax over 13%? New York politicians know that their record-high tax rates are killing growth, which is why the state is spending millions of dollars on TV ads across the country trying to convince people that New York has low taxes. Sure. And Chicago is crime-free.

Even when it comes to income inequality, blue states fare worse than red states. According to a 2016 report by the Economic Policy Institute, three of the states with the largest gaps between rich and poor are those progressive icons New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts." -  Read More

What is the lesson? In our ecomonic system, taxing your population at high rates doesn't work. It results in slower growth and only benefits the rich and politically well-connected at the expense of everyone else.

Fraudulent or Invalid Voter Registrations Enough to Tip an Election, Easily

This week, liberals have been repeating their frequent claim that voter fraud doesn't exist. A recent Salon article argues that “voter fraud just isn't a problem in Pennsylvania,” despite evidence to the contrary. Another article argues that voter fraud is entirely in the imagination of those who use voter ID laws to deny minorities the right to vote.

Yet as the election approaches, more and more cases of voter fraud are beginning to surface. In Colorado, multiple instances were found of dead people attempting to vote. Stunningly, “a woman named Sara Sosa who died in 2009 cast ballots in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.” In Virginia, it was found that nearly 20 voter applications were turned in under the names of dead people.

In Texas, authorities are investigating criminals who are using the technique of “vote harvesting” to illegally procure votes for their candidates. “Harvesting” is the practice of illegally obtaining the signatures of valid voters in order to vote in their name without their consent for the candidate(s) the criminal supports.

These are just some instances of voter fraud we know about. It would be silly to assume cases that have been discovered are the only cases of fraud. Indeed according to a Pew Research report from February 2012, one in eight voter registrations are “significantly inaccurate or no longer valid.” Since there are 146 million Americans registered to vote, this translates to a stunning 18 million invalid voter registrations on the books. Further, “More than 1.8 million deceased individuals are listed as voters, and approximately 2.75 million people have registrations in more than one state.” Numbers of this scale obviously provide ripe opportunity for fraud.

Yet in spite of all this, a report by the Brennan Center at New York Univeristy claims voter fraud is a myth.

Founding Fathers No Longer Worthy Of School Names??

Best-selling historian David Barton is blasting a proposal by the head of the San Francisco Board of Education which would ban schools from being named after George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and other Founding Fathers and American leaders who owned slaves.

Barton, author of “The Jefferson Lies: Exposing the Myths You’ve Always Believed About Thomas Jefferson,” called it a “misguided effort based on bad history.” Barton pointed out African-American leaders of the past often praised both Presidents Washington and Jefferson, who both recognized human slavery was an evil needing to be dealt with, as champions of the beginning civil rights for blacks.

“It is striking when you look at the people who looked to Washington and Jefferson as inspirations. For example, Dr. Martin Luther King praised Jefferson, as did Frederick Douglass, Henry Highland Garnett, Benjamin Banneker and many other African Americans who were the premier civil rights leaders in their generation. The difference between today’s generation and previous ones is that Americans today by and large no longer know American history based on historical fact. Instead, they are simply taught a version of it based on progressive political agendas.”

It’s to combat this kind of phony history Barton says he wrote “The Jefferson Lies,” which details the many ways Jefferson’s memory has been manipulated and misused by left-wing activists. The book was a New York Times bestseller when it was first published in 2012 until a coordinated pressure campaign against the publisher won an unprecedented victory by having the book withdrawn from circulation.

Barton has since put out a new expanded edition in which Barton specifically rebuts his critics charge by charge.

"Both Washington and Jefferson openly advocated for the end of slavery and led legislative efforts to achieve that objective. As presidents, both actively introduced, supported, and even signed major measures that sought to end slavery in America and ensure that equal racial civil rights were achieved. It is unfortunate that both of those great leaders lived in the state of Virginia, which by state law would not permit them to free their own slaves as they wished. Nevertheless, they both worked to achieve for others what they could not achieve for themselves, and that’s why previous generations of African Americans openly praised and heralded them.”

As long as factually inaccurate and political agendy driven portrayals of history continue to dominate America’s history textbooks and classrooms, errant proposals like this one will continue to be offered.  This is just more non-sense from anti- American, self-loathing white leftist academics and Afro-centric anti-Western scholars.
