Clinton Comes Out of Hiding To Make First Appearance Since Concession Speech

Hillary Clinton will make her first public appearance Wednesday night since conceding to Donald Trump last week.

Clinton is expected to give a speech at the Children’s Defense Fund Beat the Odds Celebration in Washington, D.C. An unnamed aide told CNN that the speech will be part reflection, part pledge to remain strong and continue to support the crybabies in the streets in the face of four years of a Trump presidency.
The speech is an opportunity to underscore Hillary's continuing commitment to the causes and values that have always motivated her work as a criminal advocate and self aggrandizer public servant .

Maybe This Will Help Take a Little of the Sting Out......

Canadians Invite California, Oregon and Washington to join Canada

While our neighbors to the north finally learned to play baseball (hadn't caught onto the football thing yet though) they do come up with a good ideas once in awhile. Canadians are inviting people in the states of California, Oregon and Washington, where President-elect Donald Trump lost heavily to his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton, to secede from the US and join Canada.

“Dear California, Oregon, Washington – I’m sure we can work something out if you want to join Canada,” Chad Harris, a reporter from Kamloops, British Columbia, tweeted.
“California, Oregon, Washington, I, for one, will accept you with open arms into the liberal bosom of Canada,” Alex Middleton of Calgary, Alberta agreed.
“Now is the time for Canada to prepare to add 3 provinces, Washington, Oregon and California,” fellow British Columbian Craig Heber from Tofino shared the sentiment. “Guaranteed means to grow economy would be adding the sixth largest economy in the world to ours.”
Some extended the invitation to Nevada, also won by the Democratic candidate.
“To the west coast of the United States, if you want to you can all become Canadian Provinces, since you voted closer to the experiences we have as Canadian,” Calgarian Andrew Mercier said in a Facebook post. “Therefore WA, OR, NV, and CA you are now provinces, also bring all the goodness that you have to us!!!”
Others want Hawaii, another so-called “Blue State” and outgoing President Barack Obama’s birthplace, to become a Canadian province.
“Dear USA west coast – Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii – come and join Canada, we’d welcome you!,” Torry Courte, a musician and songwriter from Vancouver, British Columbia, tweeted.
“California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii,” Rick Spence from Toronto, Ontario, tweeted. “Don’t bother to count the votes. Join Canada. Just try us out for four years.”
How do the disgruntled voters in the West Coast states feel about joining?

Douglas Cole of Beaverton, Oregon, summed up the feelings of many shocked West Coasters in a humorous open letter.

Dear Canada,
We, the fine people of Washington, Oregon, and California, wish to secede. We offer our people, our land, and our resources to you, Oh Canada. We promise not to fight this, but instead, to fight FOR this. Although, you being…you know…Canadians, we’re confident in a polite transition as we become your fourth territory, Washorefornia.

Or Calorington.
We’re fine with either. Just please take us. Pretty please?
With Love and Great Respect,
 The Western Former US States

“These days I love daydreaming about Washington, Oregon, and California all ceding from the US and joining Canada,” Scott Dixon of Mercer Island, Washington, posted on Facebook. “Besides that this would form a country that had one of the largest economies in the world (California is #6, Canada is #8 by GDP), it certainly seems like the American West coast has more in common with British Columbia then it does Idaho, Utah, and Arizona (In my daydream Nevada also cedes but becomes it’s own mad-max themed nation-state).”

“Hey Canada, I have a proposal for you,” Dave Lewis, of San Francisco, California posted on Facebook. “I say we take Washington, Oregon, California and Hawaii, combine them with Canada and make one amazing country. Lots of new coastline. Who’s in?”
“Dear Mr Trump, I’ve figured it out,” Patrick Heffernan of San Diego, California posted. “End the deficit by selling Washington, Oregon, and California to Canada. We don’t mind.”
I hate to say it, but I really don't see a down side to all this.........

Tears and Angst

The overwrought, hyper-dramatic meltdown on the left in the wake of Donald Trump’s victory has been so unrelentingly entertaining that just when you think it can’t get any better this gem shows up:
U.S. EPA employees were in tears. Worried Energy Department staffers were offered counseling. Some federal employees were so depressed, they took time off. Others might retire early.
And some employees are in downright panic mode in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s victory.
“People are upset. Some people took the day off because they were depressed,” said John O’Grady, president of American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, a union that represents thousands of EPA employees. After Election Day, “people were crying,” added O’Grady, who works in EPA’s Region 5 office in Chicago. “They were recommending that people take sick leave and go home.”
EPA employees stand to see some of the most drastic changes under the Trump administration, and they may be taking things a bit harder than other government workers.
The president-elect has vowed to repeal some of the rules they’ve toiled on for the last eight years during the Obama administration, including the Clean Power Plan rule to cut power plants’ greenhouse gas emissions.
While the world was literally burning around him, Obama kept his focus on keeping climate change hysteria at a fever pitch, most probably because he’s seen what it did for Al Gore’s bank account in the last 16 years. In order to pass out favors that he can cash in once he leaves office, he’s been expanding the reach and power of the EPA. It is now a regulatory, power hungry nightmare.

The one sector that didn’t experience sluggish growth the last eight years was the federal behemoth.  Obama has created a new, borderline wealthy class of government workers on the backs of the American taxpayers. It’s practically the sole reason that Virginia, despite still having a purplish appearance, is actually a blue state now.

At Every Level of Government, the Democrat Party is Dying a Slow Death

Having severely misjudged the temperament of the American people after the feel good election of 2008 and badly overplaying their hand, Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Hillary Clinton have damaged the democrat party brand to a point they are in a downward tailspin and will control basically nothing after Jan 20th.

The victory of Donald Trump for the presidency and the continued Republican control of the House and Senate is only part of the story of the Democratic Party's total demise.
Expected to make modest gains in state legislatures across the country, the Democrats instead lost governorships, lost two state legislative chambers, and now have total control of only five states -- the fewest number in their history.
Perhaps the loudest bell tolling for the death of the Democrats is in Kentucky, where Republicans gained control of the state Senate for the first time in a century. This means that for the first time in history, there is not a single state legislative chamber controlled by Democrats in the old Confederacy.
In the Electoral College, where Republicans took six of the ten biggest prizes for the first time since the Reagan years, Democrats should no longer be considered a national party. They are, at best, a coastal party with a few liberal enclaves -- mostly college towns like Madison, WI, and Austin, TX -- in between.
In the great middle of the country, they have disappeared.

Despite a Thorough Cleaning and Detailing, the Stench of Failure Shall Remain Until the End of its Days.

The Tiger in the Hog Pin

Last week the big uglies from Alabama came to the Tiger house and managed to pull out Nick Saban's 200th career win, but got his ego bruised in the process.  Now the Tigers have to back it up as they travel to Fayetteville to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks.

From 1913 to 1936 and again from 1953-56 and sporadically thereafter, the annual Arkansas / LSU game was played here at fairgrounds Stadium (now Independence Stadium and home of the Independence Bowl) as part of the draw for the Louisiana State Fair. In 1992 Arkansas join the SEC and the games reverted to home fields

Saturday the Hogs will be flying high after they ran through the vaunted Florida Roosters defense last week, exposing them for the fraud they are.

But this game in the Hog Pin is one I circle on the schedule every year because regardless of standing and the win column, you never know which Hog team will show up. The Piglets or Angry Papa Boar.

And I don't have to remind anyone that the last couple of years this is where the Tigers took their belly-flop after the loss to the Crimson Tide. This year I don't think that will happen. The Tigers have easily shut down better passers then Austin Allen in past weeks, and I see no reason they won't him too.

#1 Alabama vs Mississippi St.
Line up the ambulances!
I say Tide by 38

Auburn vs Georgia
Auburn should count their blessings they're not playing Alabama this week. And I'm not gonna say Auburn is Lucky, but #9?
The Bulldogs give them fits.
I say Auburn by 6

Ole Miss vs Texas A&M
Both teams have lost their starting QB's so this is a toss-up.
After the embarrassment last week by Miss St. I think the Aggies defense rules the day.
I say Aggies by 14

South Carolina v Florida
The Gamecocks are said to be coming into their own late in the season and the Florida Roosters are.......well, just overstuffed Roosters.
I say Gamecocks by 6

One for the Road:
6-3 USC outlast undefeated Washington at home.
UPSET: USC by 3
