We Are Living in a Blizzard of Lies and Deceit

We are now dependent on a handful of woke billionaires to tell us what reality is. They are far more open than ever that they get to determine what are the agreed facts. Google made an explicit announcement about this recently. They said that sometimes they would put warnings on things that are factually accurate because, even though they are true, they do not think it is in society's interest for people to be seeing it.*

If you switch on the news, if you watch TV, if you listen to the radio, if you go in the Internet, you would think that the most critical issues facing the world today are a pampered, third‑rate actress whining to Oprah that she was never taught how to curtsy properly. We do not talk about anything important even as China is snaffling the world out from under us.*

Western civilization is sliding off a cliff and most citizens of most Western nations are not even aware of it. There is a moral component that we are overlooking. We live in an insane world where moral narcissism attaches to whether or not you rampage around some statue of a Confederate general who died 150 years ago. The fact that you're rampaging around the Confederate general while wearing shoes made by child labor somehow does not impact on your moral virtue at all. If you blow up the past, you make social engineering so much easier because there is nothing to go back to. We are now all warts, all the time.*

We are the civilization that built the modern world. If you do not like us, we can go back to what it was 500 years ago. Basically, the world functions because of the world we built.*

If you have no basic election integrity, essentially, all the other issues are irrelevant. You only need actually to spread fraud in six key cities in six key states. The attitude of the courts is disgusting, from the rinky dink little judge in your local county courthouse, all the way up to Chief Justice, when they say that, "Oh, well, all this is moot. There isn't sufficient fraud to have changed the result."*

I would like some of these genius jurists to then give us a figure on what is the acceptable level of fraud in American elections. Denmark, in its history, has never actually had a plausible accusation of any kind of electoral fraud. As we know, in the United States, in cities like Philadelphia, rigged election is a tradition that has long roots and goes back 150 years. Know this, that if you wake up in the morning and you switch on the radio, and there's a new story about how they're delaying announcing election results because some ballot boxes arrived in the middle of the night, you know that's either a story about an election in Sudan, or the United States.*

And they tell us the protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn't protect the protected.

Oh, and I forgot. The Border is Closed.........

Very Serious People

To this day, the average Very Serious Person would still rather give a grizzly bear a tongue bath than admit that the Right has ever been right about anything, especially at the cost of admitting that they themselves -- these highly-paid professional havers of opinions -- had not only been completely wrong about the one specific subject area for which they were being paid for their alleged special expertise, but had also made it a point of pride to shit all over those on the Right who had actually been right about the Left all along.

But hey, this was always going to be a tough war that was never going to bring us either money or fame, right? That's not the immediate problem.

The immediate problem is that far too many Very Serious People people who should absolutely know better by now -- people in the media and in elected office -- still cling desperately to the fiction that there are a non-trivial number of "good conservatives" out there somewhere just waiting to be persuaded they are wrong and to (as one wag put it a thousand years ago) grow opposable thumbs and climb down out of the Stupid Tree.

There aren't. But I believe that this continued irrational faith in an obvious fiction is, in part, because the idea of fully facing the ugly truth -- that we are in a for-real war to save our democracy from being destroyed by our own family members, colleagues and neighbors -- and then facing moral and civic obligations that truth imposes scares the living shit out of them.

Is the Media Sitting on Word of a Major BLM Protest in DC?

Manoir de Diogène -Tuesday 10:50pm

For the last month or so I have been spending my late night evenings watching the numerous live-streams out of Portland of the fragile, petulant white saviors of the cities oppressed minorities play live action video war games with Portland's' Boys in Blue, and officers of Homeland Security.  I have to say, it is sometime very entertaining to watch the bravest of soy boys and bald headed dykes in gas masks yelling insults and set small fires pretend to lay siege to a police precinct building, only to be pepper balled & bean bagged and run away. Then, return later to endure the same senseless punishment again and again, gaining absolutely nothing but painful bruises and burnt lungs.

And for the last two weeks the mention of travel to DC has drifted through conversions between the streamers on camera during lulls for recess at the Revolution.  It didn't seem to be much of a secret.  I didn't pay much attention until yesterday one of my friends in the Dallas Media Market called and said she was passing through town on her way to Washington DC.  I ask her why DC and she responded that all she was told was to immediately report to the PBS affiliate WETE in the capitol. Plan to be there until further notice. Then it clicked.

The conversations between the mostly sympathetic live streamers I mention above involved them coordinating live streaming meetups at a mass march and protest by BLM supporters on Washington DC this weekend. It was referred to many times as a 50 Day Siege of Washington.  I heard this same info mentioned in passing by all the better know live-streamers I watched over the last two weeks. These are feeds broadcast to small audiences on all their major social media platforms.

But yet, not one mention in of this in the major media. None.

We all know three topless purple haired lesbians with a home made cardboard sign protesting DJT in front of the WH would make the national news.  But not a mass BLM march & protest on the capital??  I would question whether they are waiting for confirmation of the story is true, because we all know they don't do that anymore.  So why the silence?

Could it be they know if the protests turn ugly and this kind of leftist shit show, with it's socialist banners and calls for defunding of police departments in the streets of the capital for all America to see, can't be ignored like the violent nature of "peaceful" west coast protest.

Do they hold their breath and turn a blind eye to what's coming, knowing having to report just one building fire or one looting incidence that could start a string of events , and be the death kneel of media's chosen candidate, one who has refused to condemn the BLM violence?

We will see. Keep you eye on the 27th.

There is shooting in the streets of Kenosha Wi. tonight...........and there's a sign on a building that said "There are children upstairs, please don't burn this build."

The Purge of the Anti-Woke

Free speech is under attack from all sides – from illiberal laws, from a stifling climate of conformity, and from a powerful, prevailing fear of being outed as a heretic online, in the workplace, or even among friends, for uttering a dissenting thought.

Satirical tweeter accounts like Titania McGrath, created by comedian Andrew Doyle as a radical intersectionalist poet and activist who, in spite of her immense privilege, is convinced that she is oppressed, are being censored with extreme prejudice.
Titania is but one of many victim. Jarvis Dupont, Guy Verhoftwat, Tolerance Police, Liberal Larry and Sir Lefty Farr-Right QC – all remain suspended.  All the accounts did was make fun of wokeness.  But it seems virtue-signalling Silicon Valley nerds can’t take a joke. Apparently, this kind of comedy needs to be silenced.

Jonathan Swift would not have fared well on Twitter, nor Voltaire or Diderot. Satire is part of Western tradition. That's why it is loathed by the Left.

Ironically, Twitter’s purge of the anti-woke satirists is a complete vindication of their work. In banning those who make fun of wokeness and criticise its censoriousness, Twitter has made it even clearer how authoritarian that wokeness is. It has also shown wokeness to be totally humourless mindset.

POWER TO THE CORRECT PEOPLE!!

This Should Bring Democrat Strategist Night Sweats

Voices on the left, from the Democratic National Committee to the biased mainstream media to the hideously uninformed late-night comics propagandist, will do anything to avoid saying that what’s bad news for the country is good news for the Democratic opposition to Trump. They know the economy is Trump’s hole card because the success of his tax-cutting & deregulation that set loose the economy and American jobs has been so obvious even the mainstream media couldn’t cover it up.

When the Chinese coronavirus dropped a hammer on this red hot booming economy, democrats saw, and the media promoted, circumstances taking away one of DJT's biggest weapons in the upcoming election.  According to Politico, top Democrats are worried even a partial economic recovery going into the fall could be a boost DJT's re-election bid.  An economic recovery every American should want to see is exactly the “general election scenario that Democrats are dreading.” This, at least partially, explains the present media scare-mongering disguised as news reporting.

The report kicks off with a scene-setter from an early April online meeting of a “top officials from both parties” where former Obama administration economist and current Harvard professor Jason Furman made a startling prediction.
“We are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country. You could easily have 1 to 2 million jobs created a month in those four reports before November."
He said he believes warnings of another Great Depression are overblown, inaccurate predictions.  He added that third-quarter GDP released at the end of October "could be double-digit positive economic growth."  For most Americans, regardless of politics, that would be news worth cheering about. Small businesses shuttered, hardships for millions who rely on those salaries, and giant squeeze on charities. Who could think it was bad news that this might be about to change?

This telling paragraph in Politico’s report has an answer to that:
Furman’s counterintuitive pitch has caused some Democrats, especially Obama alumni, around Washington to panic. "This is my big worry," said a former Obama White House official who is still close to the former president.
Asked about the level of concern among top party officials, he said:
"It’s high — high, high, high, high.’” “Even today when we are at over 20 million unemployed Trump gets high marks on the economy, so I can’t imagine what it looks like when things go in the other direction. I don’t think this is a challenge for the Biden campaign. This is the challenge for the Biden campaign. If they can’t figure this out they should all just go home."

Impeachment Theater Allows Americans a Glimpse of the Unseen Unelected Who Actually Rule Over Us, Instead of Just the Minor Functionaries We Get to Vote For.

American voters have been introduced to the idea that the elected President of the United States can be accused of "undermining" foreign policy determined by the permanent bureaucracy, which spends billions of our tax dollars but is not even slightly interested in our input.

We've been told top bureaucrats who supposedly serve at the pleasure of the president are actually entitled to their jobs and firing them is a crime, with the president presumed guilty unless he can prove he had an acceptable reason for terminating or reassigning them.

We've learned that Made Men of the bureaucratic empire and its political wing, the Democrat Party, cannot be investigated for corruption unless the most exquisite preliminary rituals are followed and the investigators can demonstrate the absolute purity of their intentions.

Outside of Impeachment Theater, we've been told it's heroic for the bureaucracy to organize "resistance" against the elected president and congressional representatives, if the Washington empire disapproves of the voters' choices.

We've discovered obscure lower-court judges can hijack entire segments of national policy on a whim. Some of these imperial proclamations have been expressly premised on the notion that American citizens have less to say about their own government than foreign nationals do.

We've learned a president the imperial bureaucracy likes can issue executive orders that cannot be reversed by presidents it disapproves of.  The people are belatedly informed that some matters are settled forever on the "one man, one vote, one time" principle. The essence of self-government, the true right that matters above all others, is the right to say "no."

We've learned over the past three years that the American people no longer have that right in most cases, but their nominal employees in the federal government do.  If the imperial bureaucracy makes a demand of you, good luck with trying to work up a "resistance" movement.  Good luck getting any favorable attention from the media that has fused with that bureaucracy and enjoys a revolving door of employment with it.  But if you, the Little People, cast votes the imperial bureaucracy doesn't like... well, watch out.  They'll fight you every step of the way and spend untold millions of YOUR dollars against you.  Then they'll get in front of cameras and expect you to applaud them as heroes.  It was always a swindle to convince the American people that democracy serves as a failsafe check against authoritarian power.

We were fooled into thinking our government could never become dictatorial, no matter how much power it claims, because we can always vote the bums out.  Guess what, kids?  As we've seen since 2017,  most of the power and money is controlled by people you never get to vote against. You learn that the people you don't vote for are very capable of defending their privileges against the people who DO.  And you learn that far more issues than you ever suspected are considered "settled."

Headline of the Day: Shark Bites Personal Injury Lawyer

A Georgia 'Slip & Fall" Personal Injury Lawyer, Gene Brooks, is hearing lawyer shark jokes from colleagues and friends on social media as he recovers from a shark bite that sent him to the emergency room.  Brooks, of Savannah, says a shark bit him as he was swimming in the Wilmington River on Sunday, reports Savannah Now. He received 23 stitches, 20 of them in his arm and three in his chest. Experts say the likely culprit was a bull shark that can survive in fresh and salt water. The shark may have mistaken Brooks for food because of murky waters caused by heavy rain.

Brooks told the State that the shark likely decided it didn’t want Brooks after discovering he was too bony. “It wasn’t a full bite, but the teeth hit me in the chest and underneath my arm. Brooks, who has practiced law for more than 35 years, insists that the shark is not guilty of a personal attack. He has lived on the water for 28 years and has had no previous problem with sharks.

A picture on social media shows Brooks bandaged up, smiling and holding a Landshark beer provided by a neighbor. With apologies to singer Jimmy Buffet, he saw no fins to the left or fins to the right. He’s taking the lawyer jokes in stride.

There has been no word as to if the shark died.

Make No Mistake About It. You Can Take It To The Bank

Make no mistake, whether we've reached a tipping point or  just playing politics, not fearing the optics of thinking outside the box at the crossroads of their last ditch effort, there is always plenty of blame to go around in the searing indictment of the favorite Washington parlor game that turns a blind eye on a potent symbol of a the game-changer, which dons the mantle of a hotly contested feeding frenzy.

Needless to say, it remains to be seen in the 24-hour news cycle of the digital age, whether at first glance, the woefully inadequate, byzantine rules that burst onto the scene will allow the punditocracy to breathe a sigh of relief or will force it to vicariously probe the powers that be for the American people. But those rules double-down with strange bedfellows in the wake of keen observers of the tongue-wagging, well-heeled who meet with an ignominious end in the final analysis at the end of the day when, for all intents and purposes, cooler heads prevail at the inflection point of no return that is sometime shrouded in secrecy in an ill-advised, much-ballyhooed, hastily-convened, closely-watched and oft-cited paradigm shift of a broken system that underscores the object lesson of a Rorschach test.

Be that as it may, this is not your father’s tectonic shift, if you will, and Christmas comes early for the skittish in that land of contradictions which ushered in an eye-popping era in a nutshell that, contrary to popular belief, preventing anyone from acknowledging the new norm in which there are no face-saving compromises and we all press each other’s hot-button issues which are the talk of the town. Yet a portrait emerges of those who endured withering criticism in a dizzying array of wide-ranging interviews in a nondescript office building, and of the poster child of an unsung hero who was tapped to rise from obscurity and spark a debate that raised the specter of hand-wringing partisans on both sides who trade barbs in a war of words and walked on thin ice in a charm offensive, going forward as creatures of Washington in a stinging rebuke to the fevered speculation of the proverbial growing body of evidence that shines a spotlight on a political football. Which, much to our chagrin, raises more questions than answers about our tightly knit social fabric.

No One is Watching Except Bored Emotional Support Animals In Airport Lounges

It must be tough driving to work knowing not one show on your entire network can beat the morning crap-fest 'Squinty & Meat Puppet' in the ratings. (Lookin' at you prime time Fredo)

Yet CNN is still trying to pretend they're a "news" channel, but their efforts at red meat shitheadery (Cuomo, Lemon, etc.) ring false somehow. It's just a pale cargo-cult simulacrum of the eight-headed shouty-fest that the other two networks have perfected. The wall-to-wall bash Trump sugar high is wearing off. And to think, the guy that has presided over CNN's race to become a laughing stock, Jeff Zucker, was promoted to Chairman of one of Warner's new media companies in addition to CNN. I guess picking on CNN is starting to feel like kicking a puppy for peeing on the floor......

A Quick Glance In The Rear View Mirror

For a little background noise this weekend a documentary from 2015 was on television while I was reading and enjoying a nice bottle of wine having a spot of  tea. The upshot to the program was that a dinosaur hunter found not one, but two civilizations in the same burial ground area; one from around 10,000 years ago and the other from 5,000 years ago. Forgive me for not paying closer attention.

Scientists propose the one that originated around 10,000 years ago was driven from their lush homes in Africa after a couple thousand years due to drought and climatic change that caused the sand of the Sahara to encroach into the area they were living in. The fishes and hippos moved on as well as all the other life that was flourishing. Signs of their existence are unmistakable as is their abrupt departure.

Fast forward a few thousand years and the Sahara again retreated and life again returned to the region. A new people moved in and the animals returned. But then again the desert moved into their territory thousands of years later pushing them out, leaving only graves and small traces of human life. History repeated.

The point. The people ten thousand years ago and five thousand years ago had nothing to do with the climate. They lived and died much like the animals they hunted. No cars, no planes, no carbon footprint of note. Yet the climate first provided and then took away their living space, twice in spans of five thousand years. Worldwide you will find similar stories, such as Sumeria. The Earth and climate giveth and taketh away. Our climate similarly has had some variation in the past few thousand years to present times, but it is nothing that we can control. We are less than fleas on the dog of the Earth. Otherwise you would have to believe that these prehistoric people could have, if they were only as wise as us, altered the climate five and then ten thousand years ago to control the Earth’s temperature and weather patterns.

To believe that is the height of arrogance, the acme of ignorance and the apex of audacity.

But, now comes the loony left that unless they are the truly brainless (which many are) understand climate as a tool to push for a socialist agenda for power and control; nothing more. I am sad that so many are fooled, especially the young who fall for this insanity and have lost the ability to reason. The climate has and always will change, but only the fool thinks that mankind has mastery over it.

“No One Is Above The Law"........ Well Except Us.

Just when you thought the media couldn’t get anymore ridiculous, they rip their shirts off, and say “hold my beer.” As you've heard, last night a former Senate staffer named James A. Wolfe was arrested for lying to the FBI (a crime we’ve been assured is most serious when it involves Robert Mueller’s team).
"A federal grand jury indicted the staffer, James A. Wolfe, 58, on three counts of making false statements in December about contacts with reporters, including providing sensitive information related to the work of the Senate Intelligence Committee, which he served as security director for 29 years."
The indication here is that Wolfe was leaking classified info from Senate investigations to a reporterette from the New York Times he was boinking name Ali Watkins. Now if you were wondering where so many of the 2017 leaks about the Senate investigation were coming from, well we may have just got the answer. Watkins was essentially caught red-handed because it is shown that her revealing of Carter Page’s name in early 2017 was a direct result of information given to her by Mr. Wolfe.

As part of the leak investigation that ultimately snagged Wolfe, federal prosecutors seized the text messages of Ms. Watkins in order to show he was lying when interviewed by the FBI in December of 2017. This has got the media losing their minds over the use of her phone records, but before we get to that let’s flashback to earlier this week.

It all started with Rudy Guiliani suggesting in an interview that he probably shouldn't have given in the first place that the (not a) President may have the power to pardon himself (a stupid thing to say given it’s an irrelevant point). Despite there being no reason for the President to do so, the media at large started tearing at their clothes and went insane suggesting the President is placing himself “above the law,” a charge that falls on it’s face given the realities of impeachment, but hey, it’s the media.

Of course, the usual subjects went nuts and the tweeter machine lit up:

A more official statement was given by the Freedom of the Press Foundation, who speak at large for the media.
"All leak investigations — whether they directly target reporters or not — are a grave threat to press freedom. Whistleblowers are the lifeblood of reporting, and the Trump administration is directly attacking journalists’ rights by bringing these cases....."
To start, this guy was not a whistleblower. He was leaking testimony and details about an ongoing federal investigation to a reporter he was bumping nasties with. He wasn’t exposing that investigation’s corruption or any such nonsense. You also don’t receive whistleblower protections unless you actually go through the system setup to protect whistleblowers. That’s a non starter.

Secondly, the fact that the media can righteously lecture the country that no one is above the law on Monday but by the end of the week be vehemently saying that reporters should be above the law (to the point of saying law shouldn’t be enforced at all no less) is an incredible exercise in hypocrisy.

The same media who cheered non-stop for the over the top raid on the office of the personal lawyer to President of the United States, Michael Cohen, thinks its records should not be subject to criminal investigations. What exactly is all this based on? The U.S. Constitution guarantees freedom of the press but it does not guarantee a reporter’s right to assist in breaking the law.

As of now, this reporter is not being pursued for any wrongdoing herself. That rule of tradition (not law) is being honored in this situation by the Trump administration despite the protestations of media members. This is not the same thing as the Obama administration actually going after journalists under the Espionage Act, as it did with James Rosen. Of course, most in the media couldn’t muster up more than a weak rebuke when that happened because a Democrat was in power.

NY Times Op-Ed: Chappaquiddick is ‘Character Assassination’

WFB - In a New York Times op-ed published Friday, a liberal journalist and film critic complained the new film Chappaquiddick was a "character assassination" of its central character, Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy. In "How ‘Chappaquiddick’ Distorts a Tragedy", Neal Gabler, who is working on a biography of Kennedy complained the film, released in theaters Friday, has been "heavily promoted by conservative media outlets, and reviewers across the political spectrum have praised what they deem its damning but factual approach. Damning it is; factual it is not."

"There actually was no "cover-up" of Kennedy's car accident that led to the death of an aide, he claims, adding that "no one but the most lunatic conspiracy theorists see this as anything but a tragic accident in which nothing much was covered up."  The accident was caused by Kennedy's negligence and resulted in the death of his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, who was trapped inside the vehicle.  The screenwriters have said their efforts in making the film aren’t partisan and they aimed to tell the facts of the story. Gabler doesn't actually point to any factual errors in the film (save for the fact that Joe Kennedy, confined to a wheelchair by a stroke, likely wouldn't be able to grunt one-word dialogue like he does in the film). Instead, his criticism is limited more to the depiction of Kennedy as a character. "In this version, the Kennedy character leaves Kopechne to die as she gasps for air, and then, with the aid of his brothers’ old advisers, cooks up a scheme to salvage his presidential ambitions. A more callow, cunning, cowardly and self-interested yet moronic figure you couldn’t find," he wrote.

Gabler claimed Kennedy actually felt "deep remorse and responsibility," and eventually grew to be "an indispensable legislator whose achievements included the 18-year-old vote, the Americans With Disabilities Act and the Children’s Health Insurance Program."

"It is very possible that over time, through the osmosis of social media, the despicable Kennedy of this movie will eradicate the honorable if flawed real one," Gabler wrote.

___________________________________________

Yes Mr. Gabler, you may be right because the jig is up, as they say. You can continue the polish the turd known as the Lion of the Senate the Fredo of the Kennedy sons, who lied and stammered through a senate career from a safe seat riding the coat tails of his dead brothers, powered by Scotch and Bourbon.  You can gloss over his attempt to subvert a Presidential Election or treasonous offer to collude with the Soviet Union to undermine Ronald Reagan and America's National Security. And we won't mention his full throated push of the 1965 Immigration Act that has indeed, despite the pack lies to the contrary he feed America, has help turn the Great American Experiment inside out.  Yes Mr. Gabler, Ted Kennedy may very well have felt deep remorse. But that's between him and his maker to measure.  The fact he connived,  philandered, lied and drank his way through most of his political career, you and a hundred more glowing biographies can not erase.

San Fran Nan Goes Drag Racing

The ever-blurring lines between politics and pop culture grow fuzzier, but so much more fabulous! Nancy Pelosi, who represents California's 12 district that includes all of San Francisco paid a visit this week to famous Drag Queen RuPaul's Drag Race All Star TV show. It's safe to say Nan has found her way around a few drag queens or two in her day.

Pelosi stopped by the extravaganza of bad wigs and clownish makeup drag queen contest to show her solidarity with the LGBTQ community because Donald Trump be all hating on Gay people and stuff for not making North Carolina allow guys dressed up like Bette Midler in the girls restroom or forcing Colorado bakers to make gay cakes.

After the filming of the show Nan told an interviewer she was so excited and couldn’t resist being on the show and that she believes politicians could learn authenticity from drag queens. "This idea of people believing in themselves, being themselves, taking pride in themselves, is not just a lesson for politicians but for everyone in the country." I guess the crazy moonbat had one of her famous brain farts and just didn't realize that authenticity she was talking about is MEN PRETENDING TO BE WOMEN. Earth to Nancy!

Nan said she hadn’t considered what her drag name might be, but I can think of a few, but I'll be nice and keep them to myself.......
