Dem's Exemplary Asshat Extraordinaire Declares DJT Has No Authority To Appoint Supremes

We figured we’ve seen just about every bit of nonsense the Dem's could muster from their tattered playbook, but then Chuck Schumer jumps out of the trees with more weird liberal political science. That constitutional stuff is hard.  So here is today’s news from the slowly desiccating senior brain trust of the opposition - Donald Trump no longer has the constitutional authority to nominate Justices to the Supreme Court.
CFP - The Senate Minority Leader on Tuesday attempted a double bank shot of claiming that Brett Kavanaugh shouldn’t be confirmed for the Supreme Court because Michael Cohen copped a guilty plea. Schumer chose the position he’s in and he can squirm in it every day as far as I’m concerned. Schumer is under intense pressure from the increasingly unhinged liberal base to do everything he can to stop Brett Kavanaugh from being confirmed. In reality, there is nothing he can do and he knows it. But he has to act the part, and if that means grasping at absolutely ridiculous straws (no unusual feat for him), then damn it, that’s what he’s going to do.
Donald Trump no longer has the constitutional authority to nominate Justices to the Supreme Court? Who says? Not you, not me and certainly not the Constitution. But Chuck Schumer says it, not because he believes it, but because he has to say something to keep the barbarians from storming the gate, so why not?
"It is unseemly for the President of the United States to be picking a Supreme Court Justice who could soon be, effectively, a juror in a case involving the President himself,” Mr. Schumer declared, picking up a trope that has quickly become part of the liberal echo chamber. Senators Mazie Hirono (Hawaii) and Ed Markey (his own private Idaho) cancelled meetings with Judge Kavanaugh, with Mr. Markey saying he is now an “illegitimate” nominee.
So let’s see. Donald Trump is the elected President with the power of appointment under the Constitution, but because his former lawyer has pleaded guilty to evading taxes and paying off a couple of Mr. Trump’s alleged mistresses, Mr. Trump no longer enjoys the powers of the Presidency under Article II. This novel interpretation of presidential authority somehow eluded James Madison." - WSJ
This is not going to change a single vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation, and Schumer knows it. What’s more, Kavanaugh is not going to be a “jurist” in any criminal case involving Donald Trump. Schumer has a history of making declarations about process and principle that completely contradict previous statements he made on the exact same subjects, with the only variable being which party happens to be in power at the moment. He knows he contradicts himself and fears no consequences precisely because he knows the mainstream media will never call him on it. -  READ MORE

Former NC Governor Compares Activists to Nazi Book Burners

Former North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory blasted what he called “mob rule” at UNC-Chapel Hill Monday night as protesters continued their violent rampage against america's history, toppling a Civil War Soldier's memorial on the university campus. The Charlotte Observer reported that Gov. McCrory asked Tuesday if the protesters are any different from Nazis who tore down statues and burned books in the 1920s and 1930s? Protesters, some not known to be UNC students, brought down the statue known as "Silent Sam" that had stood on campus for over a 100 years. They claimed the statue was a symbol of America's racist heritage. McCrory responded by asking how far will this go and if the Jefferson and Washington monuments should also be removed. Unfortunately, there are people who do think just that way and believe today's activist are laying the groundwork for that eventuality.
AP - The bronze figure of a Southern soldier atop a stone pedestal was erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1913. It had been under constant police surveillance after being vandalized in recent months, costing the university hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The top officials of the University of North Carolina system say the toppling of a Confederate statue on the Chapel Hill campus was "unacceptable, dangerous and incomprehensible." In a statement released Tuesday, UNC board chairman Harry Smith and system President Margaret Spellings say the university won't tolerate the intentional destruction of public property. State Senate leader Phil Berger released his statement after the "Silent Sam" memorial was pulled down during a demonstration by hundreds of people at the University of North Carolina's flagship campus.
Berger said Tuesday "only a civil society that adheres to the rule of law can heal these wounds." He says Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper and other politicians must stop labeling violent riots as "rallies."University officials said their hands were tied by a 2015 law that essentially prohibited the permanent removal of "Silent Sam" and limited the relocation of similar Confederate monuments on public property.
A protester who threw a mixture of red ink and her own blood on a Confederate statue says students, campus workers and community did what the University of North Carolina refused to do when they toppled the statue.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Lesbian & Black Lives Matter activist Maya Little, charged with vandalism of the same monument in April said Tuesday that UNC-Chapel Hill had a 100 years to remove the statue. She says the toppling exemplifies activists' commitment to "smashing white supremacy" at UNC.

The Jim Acosta of Political Activist

David Hogg tells New York Magazine: “We really only remember a few hundred people, if that many, out of the billions that have ever lived. Is that what I was destined to become?” - @Alex Pappas
Skippy Plans to Run for Political Office When He Turns 25 and Learns to Drive
"Older Democrats just won’t move the f*ck off the plate and let us take control."  He believes that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is "a future President of the United States."
-----------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone remembers David Hogg it's because he's one of the most annoyingly arrogant leftist meat puppets, drunk off his own self-importance, that's ever been blessed to be born into privilege in this country.  A smooth brained simpleton & ignorant stooge of progressivism ...but I repeat myself. There is both Fame and Infamy. And Hogg obviously never took a class in Philosophy: "All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone." (Blaise Pascal)

He Plays the Pitiful Political Hack & Shabby Radical to the End.

The Spectator
"The real story about John Brennan’s security clearance is not that he lost it under a Republican president, but that he even had one at all. One of the peculiar footnotes of Brennan’s history is that he obtained a position in Bill Casey’s CIA after having supported the Soviet-backed American Communist Party at the height of the Cold War. Had Casey conducted the polygraph test in which Brennan admitted to voting for Soviet proxy Gus Hall in 1976, Casey would have tossed him out of the office. Casey hated communists. Whoever hired Brennan must have been a Deep State holdover from the Carter years.
All of Brennan’s propaganda about “Trump-Russian collusion” is just sour grapes over the loss of his preferred candidate, Hillary, for whom he was desperately auditioning by launching an unfounded investigation into her opponent, and a remnant of his pro-Soviet nostalgia. Brennan’s much-vaunted “conscience” was pricked not by Soviet leaders who slaughtered their own people and enslaved hapless nations but by a Russian leader who — brace yourselves — isn’t keen on postmodern Western propaganda in favor of gay rights.
Brennan prided himself on his “commitment” to alternative lifestyles and would pad down the halls of the CIA in a “rainbow lanyard,” as Bill Gertz once reported. Putin’s refusal to hold “gay pride” parades in Moscow infuriated Brennan. He also didn’t care for Putin’s unsentimental approach to Islamic terrorism. Brennan defined jihad as “self-improvement” and lobbied Obama to embrace the fanatics of the Muslim Brotherhood. Brennan got his wish when the Obama-backed Morsi rose to power in Egypt and wrecked it. Michael Flynn thought that Brennan was a PC jackass of the first order, in thrall to the Muslims with whom he had traveled to Mecca during his stint as station chief in Saudi Arabia.
The only criticism that Trump deserves for yanking Brennan’s security clearance is its delay. He should have done it on day one. Brennan was a security risk from the start — an anti-American radical of staggering proportions who should never have been permitted within a hundred-mile radius of Langley." - Read More

Nation's Largest Progressive Gathering Featured Empty Seats, Racialism & Molotov Cocktail T-Shirts

The annual national gathering of proglodytes, Netroots Nation, is wrapping up their three ring circus of far left pseudo-intellectual political craziness in the Big Easy this weekend. This year’s conference of the left's who's who, akin to a sewer dive and given little media coverage, was plagued with "many nearly empty events, racial incitement and wild radicalism" far outside of the American mainstream, including vendors allowed to sell items seemingly condoning violence.  The Keynote speeches for this years festivities were delivered by the most exalted nuts in the sack, Lizzy Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory 'scatman' Booker, moonbat actress Cynthia Nixon, and self-described democratic socialist savior Alexandria Ocashew-Cortex.

This group of speakers along with the conference’s legion of like-thinking panelists, pushed for a unrelenting era of racially-focused activism, identity politics and 'put it to the man' in-your-face organizing most patriotic americans wouldn't recognize as welcoming. But the problem for the NutRoot Nation, bless their hearts, was much of the time there was nobody there to even hear it.
______________________________________

The entire conference was plagued by nearly empty events."This is What Democracy Should Look Like" was a panel featuring Atima Omara, A’shanti Gholar, and Carol McDonald. With seating for more than 200 at the event, barely 20 Netroots attendees came to hear. Among the topics at Netroots Nation were race, mobilization, race, voting rights, race, and cultural oppression by the dominant patriarchy.

Nutroots were entertained in the concourse by a Mexican Mariachi.
Naturally, the band didn't bring their culturally offensive sombreros.
It was a musical safe space at Nutroots 2018.
Much attention was devoted to the "myth" of voter fraud and the need to retool the language associated with talking about voter fraud. Voter suppression — a term that never appears in any federal law and is used by the Left to group legal activity with illegal activity — was the hot topic at a voting rights seminar (that was again attended by very few people).

Progressives view giving the right of felons to vote as the key to flipping several purple states blue and red states to purple. They openly said, probably correctly, that Amendment 4 is the way to turn Florida blue. To them, it was all about creating angry racial bloc voters. The conference was characterized by a heavy dose of race-is-everything messaging.

But despite the "race heavy" agenda, it still wasn't enough for some. During the closing keynote addresses, members of the activist group “Black Ass Caucus” took the stage in protest. In a 15-minute speech, the Caucus excoriated Netroots Nation and its white attendees for perceived slights, while demanding that minority leaders and panelists be given more control over conference programming. When the Caucus asked conference-goers to boycott next year’s Netroots Nation if demands were not met, the audience uniformly rose to its feet in agreement.

And what progressive gathering would be complete without a nostalgic reflection on the Left's heritage. For $20 you could buy a t-shirt with a Molotov cocktail......

And One For The Road Aretha......
One of The Best Soul Tunes Ever Laid Down on Tape.

I Think We Can All Agree.....Somethin' Just Ain't Right About Those Cuomo Boys

It's bad enough that Cuomo the Younger, Fredo of CNN, almost daily makes a fool of himself by trying to justify liberal this or liberal that, interviewing long lines of Trump Haters or spewing almost sophomoric commentary that makes little sense in the big picture.  But just days after the little one drives the CNN crazy train completely off the rails, not to be out done, Cuomo the Elder, who holds aspirations of being the exalted leader of the free world, has once again shown he has his own problems with his mouth outrunning it's supply lines.

We have all heard Cuomo's remark that "America was never Great". Realizing that Cuomo the Elder had stepped in it big time, his press secretary scrambled to salvage his disastrous utterance by admitting Cuomo was responding directly to the Trump slogan, "Make America Great Again." This slogan inherently recognizes that America has been great and Trump wants to restored to it's economic and political greatness. Cuomo intended to contradict that assumption but didn't say that America used to be great but has fallen and that we need to restore it. Cuomo was quite clear. In his view and that of so many on the left, America has never been that great. Sadly, in the leftist worldview, it will never be that great. No matter how many reforms are implemented, no matter how much blood is spilled, no matter how many constitutional amendments are ratified to extend legal equality and equal opportunity to all Americans, it will never be enough for the left.

For the Cuomo boys and their friends on the  left, the discontentment about America isn't just or even mostly about the plight of minorities. It is about America's founding principles.

Say what you will of the father of these two Cuomo boys, the proud traditional northeast liberal and son of immigrants himself, three term Governor of NY, Mario Cuomo, who I suspect would have a lot to say to these two, raised in privilege, and with all the greatness America made available to them who now defend violence in the streets and spew a poisonous litany against their country.
