Desmond Tutu denounced Reagans' policy on South Africa as: "Immoral, evil, and totally un-Christian...an abomination, an unmitigated disaster. You are either in favor of evil or you are in favor of good. You are either on the side of the oppressed or on the side of the oppressor. You can't be neutral." 

Good point, Mr Archbishop. Because on the welfare of Castro's regime you, sir, are hardly neutral, enthusiastically lending your name to the Stalinist regime's most important propaganda campaign, urging the release of convicted KGB-trained spies and terrorists.

The media's recent orgy of vituperation and snark against president Reagan's policy on South Africa finally got a much-needed corrective from Reagan's communication's director of the time Pat Buchanan. To wit: 

According to President Ronald Reagan in 1986: "Apartheid is an affront to human rights and human dignity. Normal and friendly relations cannot exist between the United States and South Africa until it becomes a dead policy."...but and a BIG BUT:

In 1986, there were 40,000 Cuban troops in Angola, where South Africa was a fighting ally and backer of anti-Communist Jonas Savimbi.

In Zimbabwe, Robert "Comrade Bob" Mugabe, having butchered thousands of Ndebele of rival Joshua Nkomo, was communizing his country. Southwest Africa and Mozambique hung in the balance.

Reagan was determined to block Moscow's drive to the Cape of Good Hope. And in that struggle State President P. W. Botha was an ally.

In view of Political Correctness, however, Mandela's ANC apparently did more to promote worldwide freedom than the U.S. military!

"A bipartisan Senate duo says they want to crack down on what they call the government’s “lavish” spending on oil paintings of congressmen, the costs of which can top $50,000 each. 

Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said in a Thursday press release they are introducing a bill that would only allow $20,000 of taxpayer funds to be spent on each portrait, and would only cover paintings of lawmakers in the line of succession to the presidency."

“At a time when vital services and programs are facing cuts, we need to be looking at every way we can stop excessive spending practices in Washington,” Shaheen said.
Coburn says their bill is a way to rein in excess spending in Washington, and ensure taxpayers are not paying for unnecessary projects. 

“Hardworking taxpayers shouldn’t foot the bill for lavish official portraits, especially when government officials spend more on paintings of themselves than some Americans make in a year,” Coburn said. 

ABC News reported earlier this year that the Obama administration spent nearly $400,000 on paintings of officials in just a two-year- period, and the Washington Post reported in 2008 each portrait can sometimes cost over $40,000.   The bill would allow other funds to be spent on the portraits after the taxpayer funds were exhausted."

Excuse Me!  $20,000 of  taxpayer money on a portrait of a congressman? These are elected public servants, not royalty!

And who the hell is painting these things for $50,000. A 300 dollar 40x60 digital photo print should suffice in the case of congress. And come to think of it, there can be additional savings when it can also later be used as an official mugshot when they are impeached or indicted after leaving office....

Most of our elected officials of both parties need a good ol' fashion 'Coming to Jesus Moment' before next November. 

Lawmakers Receive Millions from Intelligence Companies.

Every member who sits on the Senate and House committees that oversee government intelligence operations has received campaign contributions from the top twenty largest intelligence companies in the United States, according to a new report.

The report from Maplight, a nonpartisan research organization that reveals money in politics, highlights the donations from political action committees (PACs) and individuals from the intelligence services companies to these members. The report shows donations amount to over $3.7 million from 2005-2013.

"MapLight analysis of campaign contributions from political action committees (PACs) and individuals from the top 20 intelligence services contractors working with the Department of Defense, ranked by total value of contracts received, to members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. North Korea announced the execution of Kim Jong Un's uncle, calling the leader's former mentor a traitor who tried to overthrow the state.

Jang Song Tthaek, the uncle, was arrested along with his aides last month as part of a massive Stalin-like purge of everyone who was giving Kim Jong Un a pain in his ass at that particular time. For added fun, Kim Jong sent his own pistol-packing brother along to arrest Jang Song. And that wasn't all. Kim Jong's aunt went along for the ride too. Yup, the wife of the guy who got arrested. 

Sign Language Interpreter Inadvertently Embarrasses Obama

JOHANNESBURG (MFNS) - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela's memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was said to be a "fake", or was he?

South African sign language covers all of the country's 11 official languages, according to the director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa. It wasn't immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a different method to communicate the many speaker"s words.

Dr. Clone Swenson and a team of African sign language experts reviewed the tape of President Obama's speech and have come to a startling conclusion. 

Swenson told MFNS  "while we don't understand his method, the man did indeed translate a number of  phases correctly in African sign language".  We now believe the man was not interpreting President Obama's words, but his unconscious thoughts as he spoke.

"We believe he was a Psychic Interpreter, which would explain the correct interpretative signing of the phrases " I wear my wife's underwear" and "no fun here - wicked witch is watching" in the second paragraph of Obama's speech".  The team also found the interpreter correctly signed the phrase " 9 iron - sand-trap on the right"  in the sentence that followed.

"These are just a few examples we found", said Swenson," most of the interpretations couldn't be repeated in polite company you see". 

Some on the team are no so convinced, but could not give any explanation for the peppering of the translation from beginning to end with the correct signing of phases like "Raul is cool" and the obscure Kenyan words for "Hot Blonde" and "Boobies".

For years, conservatives have warned of voter fraud and pushed for stricter voter identification laws. Democrats hate these efforts since cheaters, convicted felons and the deceased tend to support liberal candidates. Instead of admitting their Dig Up The Vote strategy, the Democratic Party offers a nuanced argument against voter ID advocates: “YOU'RE RACIST!!!” It’s time to turn the tables.

As you can see in the photo, the lionized founder of modern South Africa was a big fan of voter identification. Strict ID requirements are the law of the land, helping to minimize voter fraud from Cape Town to Pretoria. Mandela understood that this simple law ensures that every voter of every race can make their voice heard on election day:

The Left can honor their hero Mandela by calling for U.S. voter ID requirements be brought up to South African standards.  Voter registration in South Africa involves registering to vote on one of a handful of designated days or by making an appointment in advance at a Municipal Elections Office. Online voter registration and voting are not allows. “You have to apply for registration and vote in person with valid ID,” reads the government’s elections website.
Two of the common forms of identification and most easily forged, passports and drivers licenses, do not suffice for election ID purposes.

The Joe Biden Show Stops by South African Embassy

Biden and wife Jill took a short motorcade ride across the street from their residence to the embassy on a cold, drizzly Monday morning. Stopping out front to look at the newly installed statue of Mandela, Biden called him "the most remarkable man I met in my whole career."

Biden recalled traveling all the way to South Africa in 1977 to meet  Mandela , but he was unable to because he was in the midst of a 27-year prison sentence.

How much do charities actually give toward their “cause”?

The CEO of the American Red Cross makes $500,000 a year and after collecting $564 million in the wake of 9/11, the American Red Cross had only distributed $154 million in the months after the event.

After three years of collecting $360 million for the 11 Asian countries devastated by the tsunami of Dec. 26, 2004, the Canadian Red Cross still had not spent $200 million of the donations they collected and there are similar allegations of the Red Cross withholding donations after many more disasters including the 1995 bombing in Oklahoma City and the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Several other popular charities have reported CEO salaries ranging from $600,000 to $1.2 million including the March of Dimes, United Way, Unicef, and the American Cancer Society.

Cancer charities are frequently cited as paying exorbitant CEO salaries. For example, the recently released tax records of the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s CEO revealed her yearly salary to be $684,000. Records also revealed that the Komen Foundation spent a mere 15 percent of the funds it received on breast cancer research in 2011.

In 2009, the American Cancer Society (ACS) spent $149 million on cancer research after raising over $455 million in Relay for Life events. They spent over $499 million on salary, employee benefits, payroll taxes and another $152 million on supplies, telephone bills, postage, shipping, meetings and travel expenses.

Even more distressing, ACS reportedly has close financial ties to the makers of mammography equipment and cancer drugs. They also receive financial support from the pesticide, petrochemical, biotech, cosmetics, and junk food industries – products which are primary contributors to cancer.

ACS’s board of trustees has even included an executive from the American Cyanamid Company, which made chemical fertilizers and heribicides before producing anti-cancer drugs. On the receiving end of cancer research money, researchers have been frequently caught fabricating positive findings with the end goal of producing more drugs.

To find out which charities are sharing the highest percentage of donations received, many donors turn to a charity rating service. Like the charities they rate, not all charity rating sites are created equally.

Charity Navigator, a popular charity rater, lists Red Cross as giving 90% of donations to programs. According to Charity Watch, while charities often claim that “90% of donations are spent on programs,” the programs can include many activities that “most donors would not consider to be the bona-fide programs they are intending to support.” Charity Watch’s articles bluntly assess the actions of charities and ferret out waste, but Charity Watch also gives the American Red Cross an A- rating. Another charity rater, Give Well , doesn’t print harsh reviews, but does highlight the charities it finds highly effective.

All three services have a list of their most effective charities, the tops of which are mostly occupied by groups doing work in the poorest countries, where dollars go the farthest. For those looking to help the Philippines, Action Against Hunger, American Refugee Committee, International Rescue Committee, Project Concern, and Save the Children are highly rated alternatives to the Red Cross with reports from aid workers on the ground.

Chris Matthews to Donate Leg to Obama Presidential Library

Washington - MSNBC political commentator Chris Matthews today announced he would proudly donate his famous "Tingling Leg" to the future Barack Obama Presidential Failure Library. 
 
"Every since I made that statement on-air about the tingle up my leg the night of the election, the conservative bloggers have been shellacking me with it night and day!. So I plan when Barack leaves office to amputate it and donate it to the Obama Library and make all those bastards look like fools" Matthews told Middle Finger News. 

Ask if he was absolutely serious about the statement he  told us,  "Look, we were indeed drinking heavily during commercial breaks in the election coverage, but on air I was sitting next to Rachel Maddow for Gods sake! And while she was wild eyed and had on a nice pair of fishnets and playing footsie under the table with Andrea Mitchell.... I know the tingle wasn't because of them! That was 100% adrenaline and admiration for Barack Obama because of the outcome of election night." 

There has at this time been no official statement from the White House, but Press Secretary Jay Carney  suggested the addition of the famous amputated leg, preserved in a glass case in the entrance to the future library would be an towering symbol of the love and support by members of the media for the 44th President in his heroic struggle to save America.

" Barack will get the leg when he leaves office.....I'll show those bastards!" said Matthews.

NEWSLO / LOS ANGELES – Television personality Kim Kardashian today commemorated the death of Nelson Mandela by tweeting a “selfie” featuring herself posing with a picture of the former iconic South African president and activist.

Kardashian, present baby momma of rapper Kanye West explained that she was “representin’” and would “pour one out” for Mandela, her “BFF [best friend forever].”

“Never met NM,” Kardashian tweeted. “But were a kindred spirit . We both dedicated our lives to makin’ this a better world.”

Kardashian, reached for comment, explained that “Mandela worked against racism and whatnot, whereas I’ve introduced four different perfume fragrances, which has most definitely made the world smell better, at least. Want ta smell me?"

In the hours following Mandela’s death, the internet was awash with “selfies” featuring celebrities posing with the former president—a form of tribute that experts say would have “totally freaking confused” Mandela, who was 95 years old.

“Nelson, you were the cutest!” tweeted Miley Cyrus with her own selfie. “God bless you for freeing all the slaves.”

"If you have any doubt as to how much of a sports junkie Barack Obama is, check in with the entertainment moguls who attended a private briefing with the president Nov. 26 before his speech at Jeffrey Katzenberg's DreamWorks Animation campus in Glendale.

At the end of the conversation -- which touched on a myriad of topics, from piracy to Iran -- Obama revealed what's at the top of his bucket list post-White House: 

"At least I know what I want to do when I retire … host ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 list," Obama quipped as he turned to Disney's Robert Iger, whose empire includes ESPN."

I think that could work, after all, Barack has wowed the country with his teleprompter skills and we all know TV jocks rely heavily on teleprompters (you know, all those blows to the head thing). The spotlight also provides Biden with an opportunity to remind people why Barack Obama chose him as his running mate and to tout his strong suit as he's mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in 2016.

"This trip, if nothing else, reinforces the notion of why Joe Biden was put on the ticket in the first place and has emerged as one of the best vice presidents in history," Larry Rasky, a longtime senior political adviser to the Democrat, told CNN. "He was equipped for this job before he got there. He's not going to China for that reason, of course, but it certainly doesn't hurt."

While Welfare Skyrockets - Military Families Face Services Cut

First they try to disenfranchise them as voters, now they threaten to cut one of the most valuable benefits military families receive.

BARKSDALE AFB, LA - The Office of the Secretary of Defense confirms that the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has been asked to prepare a draft plan for closing all 178 commissaries in the United States to be presented possibly as part of the fiscal 2015 budget request. 

According to published reports, the Joint Staff asked DeCA to look at cutting its $1.4 billion dollar annual budget by at least a third. According to DeCA Director Joseph Jeu, the agency has already trimmed its budget by $7 million over the last 20 years. To make the additional cuts, DeCA has been asked to draft the proposal that would close all stateside commissaries. According to Pentagon Spokesman Col. Steve Warren, "The Secretary of Defense has made it clear on numerous occasions that all cost-cutting efforts need to be on the table in order for the Department of Defense to meet the spending caps associated with the 2011 Budget Control Act."

At this time, no final decisions have been made on the Department of Defense's fiscal year 2015 budget submission.  Therefore, it would be inappropriate to discuss any specific budget decisions." Although that budget request is due in February, it would be at least a year before such cuts could be implemented.

There are many ways of bringing the federal budget into line without punishing the military personal and the families that support them in their mission to keep the country save. One way is to freeze and cap all elected federal employee's salaries. (In 1960, JFK earned 125,000 as president, which he refused to accept. Barack Obama receives $400,000 a year plus 50,000 pocket money). 

The men and women who serve in the military, many who make just enough not to qualify for food stamps are in the crosshairs for cuts.  Because of no profit margin to meet, commissary food prices are at or about 30% cheaper then in the private sector.

Next time you see a service man or women and their families who may soon lose the benefits they earn as servants, remember this:

"How do you know when a movement reeks of communism? Easy - it is supported by a major American union.

The Service Employees International Union, filled with some of the most vile, Left-wing thugs around, is one of the major players behind a ridiculous push to kill the only employment millions of Americans can find while raising the price of cheeseburgers to ten bucks.

On Thursday, according to reports, the SEIU and other groups will sponsor or support hundreds of protests in cities around the country aimed at forcing the fast-food industry to increase workers' wages to $15. The New York Times reports:

Seeking to increase pressure on McDonald’s, Wendy’s and other fast-food restaurants, organizers of a movement demanding a $15-an-hour wage for fast-food workers say they will sponsor one-day strikes in 100 cities on Thursday and protest activities in 100 additional cities. The fast-food effort is backed by the Service Employees International Union and is also demanding that restaurants allow workers to unionize without the threat of retaliation.

"As part of its stealth campaign to support this latest push for "wage justice," the Times picked, right on cue, a 23-year-old interviewee with a Hispanic-sounding name to illustrate the travesty of it all..."

ObamaCare Should Just Work Fine....by 2017.

Former Lead Obamabot, David 'Poof-Daddy' Plouffe, was sent out to lower ObamaCare expectation even further Sunday, and do some damage control and lay some groundwork for the excuses Dems will probably use in campaigning for upcoming mid-term elections. I think we may hear this excuse ( along with a myriad of others) a lot in the coming months.  

TPM - David Plouffe, former top adviser to President Obama, said on Sunday that the health care law will improve with age and that it may take years for the law to work at its best.

"It may take until 2017," he said on ABC's "This Week." "It will work really well then."

"I think people's confidence will recover," he said.

No, Mr. Plouffe, wine gets better with age, not disastrous government programs. Read a history book lately?

From big screen TVs, to computers and phones, to inflatable wifes, Walmart shoppers across the country showed their approval of the retail giants seletion of Black Friday deals as they pulled hair, threw punches, stomped, pushed and stabed each other on their way to a rousing start to the holiday shopping season. According to officials, injury and arrest numbers will probable not be available until Monday. 

What part of “Death to America” do they not understand?

The US has often been criticized for supporting unsavory regimes for pragmatic reasons. Chiang Kai-shek and the Shah of Iran, for example, were not paragons of democracy and liberalism, but they were anti-communist. Remember Fulgencio Batista, Castro’s predecessor? And don’t forget that we were for Saddam Hussein before we were against him.

But the Obama Administration has opened a whole new chapter. By supporting the Islamist regimes of Mohammed Morsi and Sayyid Ali Khamenei, the US helps regimes that not only oppress their own population and threaten their neighbors, but make no secret of their hatred and desire to destroy the US itself.

Morsi is gone, thank goodness, but the recent agreement which rescues Iran’s economy and negates six UN Security Council resolutions against its enrichment of uranium is a shocking example of feeding — with nuclear arms — the mouth that wants to bite you.

This is not just about Israel, folks. The German newspaper Die Welt reports that Iran is building missile bases in Venezuela. If true, this means that Iran would have the capability to hit the US with missiles that they already have!

Even a single small nuclear bomb detonated at high altitude could do enormous damage to our national infrastructure as an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) weapon. Such a weapon could be put together in secret in a few weeks — and could even be launched from a cargo ship miles from our shore.

There will not be an accommodation between Western liberalism and radical Islam because the latter wants to supplant the former, both in world leadership and in cultural supremacy. Radical Islam — unlike conservative dictatorships — is essentially expansionist, and we are in its way.

The Obama Administration is mistaken in thinking that it will be possible to contain or control radical Islamist regimes with nuclear weapons by appealing to common interests like economic development and cooperation in the name of humanity. Just as we are not prepared to give up our commitment to democratic government, equality under law and some form of free enterprise (although we may differ among ourselves about the degree of control government may have over that enterprise), they are committed to the highly undemocratic and anti-equality Islamic shari’a.

Iran has already invested a huge amount in its project to become a nuclear power, and it probably wouldn’t be wrong to say that today its achievement is the first priority among the objectives of the regime. It has become obvious that the present administration simply doesn’t have the will to stop them.

Israel, on the other hand, understands that it will be in mortal danger from a nuclear Iran. Whether it will succeed in stopping Iran is an open question today — but it would be ironic if, at the end of the day, the fate of America should depend on Israel.

NYTimes Bids Farewell to Traditional Family

MRC -   The “American Dream”of a traditional nuclear family is getting harder and harder to come by, and the New York Times can hardly contain its glee.

The Times’ entire Nov. 26 “Science Times” section was devoted to the “redefined” American family. In her featured articles, NYT reporter Natalie Angier identified traditional family as a thing of the past: “the old-fashioned family plan of stable married parents residing with their children remains a source of considerable power in American – but one that is increasingly seen as out of reach to all but the educated elite.”

What’s taking its place? A lot of things the Times really likes: “Same-sex parents. Cohabiting couples. Voluntary kin. Children with parents in prison. Immigrant Americans. What we thought of as the typical American family is being rapidly redefined.” -  Read More

While the lengthy NYT's article does  state marriage rates have been falling for several decades and are now at historic lows and cover Ad Nauseum the growing trend of gay adoption, they mention in passing that more than 40 percent of American babies are now born to unmarried women, mostly women in their 20s and early 30s. But they fail to mention a staggering 73% of all black births are to unmarried women, and of that number almost 20% of those black children are born to unmarried white women. 

Victims of the media culture and the present day chicness of the "Black Boyfriend" to prove their lack of prejudice now popular in young circles and hip-hop culture, women to often abandoned  to poverty and dependency as "White Trophy Bitches" by their children's fathers out to make their mark in black thug culture as a 'sperm spreader'.

Like some stories we are familiar with, black males shun their white conquest, abandoned without hope that their baby could grow up to be the president of the United States.
