If Starbucks truly wanted to address its 'perceived' racial bias problem, there are a few approaches it could have taken. And they have nothing to do with corporate anti-bias trainings. People respond negatively to being forced to go and to being told that the reason they need to promote and to advance diversity is because they're required to. Hey Starbucks, try making a cup of coffee that doesn't taste like the runoff after a house fire. Start there, and maybe then work your way up to trying to transforming the nature of modern society.

Only The Best in Reporting. You Know Facts Matter or Something Like That.......

Expecting honesty from our virtuous, ever important media (if you don’t have CNN constantly misleading you, are you truly free?) is about like expecting your favorite pet to use you restroom, flush, and spray air freshener on their way out the door. It’s just not going to happen.

And what we have here now is yet another example of false media hysteria and surprise surprise, the “mistake” goes in only one direction yet again. Funny how that always happens.

If you you’ve been conscious at all in the last 48 hours, (I know that may have been difficult for some) you’ve probably been privy to media members intentionally misleading the public by sharing old detention center photos circa 2014 with claims of caged children, and what the tweeter triggered SJW's were calling prison buses for babies from 2016, along with other photos from Obama era immigration policies. This was done purposely to falsely blame Trump and paint him as an inhumane monster and to flush the news cycle. (enough about dead soldiers and freedom and stuff....)

One story that’s made the rounds is a bogus report that DHS “lost” track of 1,500 minors who crossed the border illegally". Did the government lose 1,500 kids and were they ripped from their mother’s arms? In short, no. No they did not and no they weren’t. As with all things mainstream media, the headline is extremely misleading. Despite the body of the article providing a little more context (while still missing some key framing so as to make the Trump administration seem as sinister as possible), that didn’t stop the blue check mark brigade on the tweeter from losing their freakin' minds.

What essentially happened is that the government gave these kids to sponsors, most of which would be family members already in the United States. Of those 8,000 or so children, about 1,500 did not respond (via their caregivers) to survey calls to check up on them. Why? Likely because they decided to avoid immigration authorities all together in order to fall off the radar. They are not lost. They are not misplaced. Nothing bad has happened to them (at least within CPB’s control). Secondly, none of these children were ripped from their mother’s arms. They were unaccompanied when detained for crossing the border.

The amount of false conflation going on with these immigration stories in the last two days is breathtakingly stupid. DHS and ICE are doing their best in an extremely tough situation. They have to balance all the factors related to illegals after they get here while also not incentivizing future crossings. The rush to demonize them is out of line. I’d like to say the media dutifully misleading the public in order to gin up fake narratives is isolated to this case, but it’s not.

This weekend, the school children of Waregem and nearby Mons will turn Flanders Cemetery into a sea of color; of Red poppy flowers and American and Belgian Flags, just as they have done for more than 90 years. On the door to the Flanders Field Chapel are written but three words: "Lest We Forget".  

We need not forget as well.......

Starbucks' '5/29' to End Racism Next Week

PJM - Starbucks is actually branding their much anticipated upcoming employee racial sensitivity indoctrination event as "5/29." They're not calling it "Don't Be a Racist Day" or whatever. It's just... 5/29. They're 9/11'ing it. Now there'll be pre-5/29 thinking and post-5/29 thinking. It's the day everything changes forever. This is a pivotal moment in human history, brought to you by the Starbucks Corporation. 

Prediction: No Starbucks employee in the entire world will be any more or less racist after this struggle session. Any Starbucks employee who is genuinely bigoted -- whether it's against black people, white people, or any other sort of people -- will continue to be that way. And the other 99% of the staffers will resent being scolded for things they haven't done, and/or grateful for a paid day off to dick around watching videos and talking about their feelings. Or at least what they want everybody to think their feelings really are.

ESPN Doubles Down: Brings Back Keith Olbermann

Just a day after the Wall Street Journal published an article titled, “How a Weakened ESPN Became Consumed by Politics” the sports network announced they were raising the profile of the self-aggrandizing blowhard, a man reviled by his past co-workers, the one known as Keith Olbermann.

Olbermann, sports correspondent for CNN, host of ESPN's SportsCenter, political commentator at MSNBC, chief news officer of the Current TV network, host at ESPN2 and TSN2, fresh from his gig doing a little known political web series for GQ.com from a cheesy set that looked like it was rescued from a dumpster behind a local community theater company and sounding as if being broadcast from an abandoned warehouse somewhere in New Jersey, has been back at the network doing a variety of odd jobs (cleaning the ladies room, poking through the desks of laid-off producers for unopened snacks). He’ll now be doing radio and making a variety of appearances on network shows.

"The new pact with Olbermann will likely be dissected by some right-leaning commentators, many of whom have hammered ESPN over an alleged left-leaning bias." Olbermann has been a frequent – and forceful - critic of President Trump and other Republicans on social media and other mediums."

Um, no, he’s been a snarling, unhinged left-wing psycho, wrapping himself in outrage and smearing anyone he disagrees with. And as USA Today also notes:

"Olbermann, who left ESPN for the first time in 1997, gained prominence outside sports by hosting Countdown, a political show on MSNBC and Current TV. Olbermann had a show on ESPN2 from 2013-15."

Not exactly a rock of stability for a network that’s in deep trouble. With every change of management and new round of layoffs, it’s easy to think ESPN has hit rock bottom and is ready to make a change. Olbermann's bathering should please the SJW crowd just fine we're sure, and maybe the network could bring in Rosie O'Donnell to do some expert Lesbian Wrestling analysis.....

Crazy Ol' Gray Headed Woman Joins Another Unhinged Washed up Comedian as Trump Hate Artist

Where do comedians turn when they're no longer funny and become angry, hateful and unhinged because the world is not to their liking? In the case of the now slightly disturbed Jim Carrey, he has taken to relieving his hate by doing demented anti-Trump art.  Word is that Porky Rosie O'Donnell has also taken to doing artwork as a way to cope with her own intense Trump Derangement Syndrome, and is trying to selling it online. Now I'm not old enough to remember Rosie O'Donnell ever saying anything funny, so I'll have to take y'alls word for it that she's actually a comedian.  I do know the portly O'Donnell and Donald Trump have had a long standing feud and the election of DJT pushed her right over the cliff and straight into mental la-la land, and probably some serious meds.

She writes in a disjointed description on the website:

“I started doodling on my ipad..... many images of trump and his regime sadness, rage and disappointment flowed out my finger and then an apple I pen...... selling six at a time all money collected with me matched by me and donated to charities ones he hates........we can do this America save our nation love and peace as we move forward we are getting closer…he’s going down, and then we heal.”

I'm not sure I've ever heard of someone who hates a charity, but I guess we have to remember who's talking. Anyway, here's a taste of porky's artwork you too can own for as little as $125.

Yeah, first thing that does comes to mind is an element of a hostile, and fragile mind. Among other pieces for sale are “Vote Him Out,” depicting Trump with a red race and has “vote him out now,” written across the top and “illegitimate liar,” written across the bottom of the painting.  I wonder if any of those other has-been comedians like David Letterman and Kathy Griffin ever considered a more healthy, cerebral outlet for their hatred and rage in this age of Trump.
