Mixed Work, Personal And Clinton Foundation Business In Email
As the
State Department released emails Hillary Clinton turned over, one email is
raising new questions about her top aides’ use of Clinton’s private email
server. Clinton Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin sent email that mixed
personal information with work and what appears to be the business of the
Clinton Foundation.
Abedin had
received
a controversial special government arrangement to serve at the State
Department, the Clinton Foundation, a Clinton-connected consulting firm, and
Hillary Clinton personally.
The email, sent from a non-State Department address, also renews questions
about whether or not Abedin turned over all of her work-related email to the State
Department before exiting, and whether or not she signed Form OF-109, the State
Department’s Separation Statement, which certified she “surrendered
to responsible officials all unclassified
documents, and papers relating to the official business of the Government” when
she left the State Department.
Interesting Note: So called non-classified emails are now being released, but with heavy redactions.
