BALTIMORE, MD (WUSA9) - "Activists lifted a modern sculpture depicting a pregnant African-American "Lady Liberty" onto the pedestal where a monument to Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson was removed overnight.
The new statue is not sanctioned by the City of Baltimore which owns the site, but there was no immediate action to remove it by police or city officials. The removal of the Lee-Jackson monument and three other Confederate statues was ordered by Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh. Pugh told reporters she ordered the removals as a matter of public safety. In 2015 plaques were placed on the Lee-Jackson statue calling the monuments examples of the revisionist history "Lost Cause" movement.
Pugh said the monuments have been moved to safe locations for storage, but she did not say where. One city council member is calling for the destruction of the statues."

Dem to Introduce Impeachment Articles over Charlottesville
I find this truly ironic. Things like this coming from a group of politicians who coddle and refuse to condemn the violent anarchist and fascist brown shirt tactics of antifa or BLM assassinations of law enforcement officers. The hypocritical liberal hate-fest marches onward.......
The Hill - Rep. Steve Cohen (D), a Tennessee liberal, announced Thursday that he will introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump based on his defense of the white supremacists who participated in a deadly rally in Charlottesville, Va., over the weekend.
“Instead of unequivocally condemning hateful actions by neo-Nazis, white nationalists and Klansmen following a national tragedy, the President said 'there were very fine people on both sides.' There are no good Nazis. There are no good Klansmen,” Cohen said in a statement. “President Trump has failed the presidential test of moral leadership.”Cohen’s decision follows on the heels of a similar effort by Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.), who last month introduced his own articles of impeachment contending Trump obstructed justice amid the federal investigation into Russia’s interference with the 2016 presidential election. - Read More

You cannot impeach a politician for a "contenting " of wrong doing without proof, of which there is none. And you certainly cannot impeach for your own misinterpretation as to what is actual meant in statement of broad condemnation. His statement was not a defense of the white supremacist. Besides, if the test of "moral leadership" were applied to the democrat party representatives, there would be a whole lot of impeaching going on.

Chicago Pastor Wants Presidents Names Removed From Parks
A Chicago pastor has asked the Rahm Emanuel administration to remove the names of two presidents who owned slaves from a South Side Chicago city park.
A bronze statue of George Washington on horseback stands at the corner of 51st and King Drive, at the northwest entrance to Washington Park. Bishop James Dukes, pastor of Liberation Christian Center, said he wants the statue gone, and he wants George Washington’s name removed from the park.
The pastor also said President Andrew Jackson’s name should be removed from nearby Jackson Park, because he also was a slave owner. He said he’s not necessarily asking the city rename the parks altogether.
The Good Pastor suggested Washington Park could be named after the corrupt tax evading, cocaine snorting former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington, and that Jackson Park could be named after
