Historical ignorance in the young works as a valuable asset for the liberal Progressive. Progressivism relishes the individual who has no point of reference other than the present world. This is the best client for one who is a seller of discontentment and grievance. The person has nothing to relate his present quality of life to, except some ideal scenario.
They therefore easily buys the pitch of the Utopian Leftist that his present condition is an intolerable outrage, as opposed to what it is from a historical standpoint: the most comfortable and luxury-filled period in human history for the common man.
