Environmental Alarmists pledge to put their heads up their butts for an hour Saturday night

The World Wide Fund for Nature is encouraging people around the world to honor, or celebrate, or mourn, or whatever, during “Earth Hour,” Saturday night between 8:30 and 9:30.

The idea is to persuade everybody to renounce technology with the flick of a switch, raising “awareness” of the need for big government to rescue the globe, indeed even the universe, from the scourge of global warming.

Awesome idea! We can all unplug for an hour for Mother Earth, right?

Oh, don’t forget to keep up with all the Moronpalooza 2014 action as hipsters apparently can’t renounce technology without live stream video.

Makes me wonder what the carbon footprint of a hypocrisy meter is.

   Defy The Narrative

So much for Equality. So much for Progress.

"What I find most wretched about all this is that the more tolerant society becomes, the more desperate the race and gender hustlers become. In their determination to keep their pet victims from escaping the reservation, they spread resentment and division, and deny people an opportunity to be treated as equals. As for those of us who decry the creation of designated victim groups, our stock has steadily fallen over the years. As Thomas Sowell put it: “If you have always believed that everyone should play by the same rules and be judged by the same standards, that would have gotten you labeled a radical 50 years ago, a liberal 25 years ago, and a racist today.” - Russell Taylor

“Do It For Denmark”

OTB
Apparently the Danes are trying to get their citizens to, well, do it:
"Denmark has a sex problem. (Re-evaluating that happiness ranking already?)
Well, it’s not exactly a sex problem, per se. It’s more like a baby problem. According to government statistics, Denmark posted a birth rate of 10 per 1,000 residents in 2013 — its lowest in decades. And the downward trend has left people worried in Denmark.
On Wednesday a bold — and hilarious — campaign emerged in Denmark to reverse the trend. For the salvation of the country, a travel company-organized movement called “Do it for Denmark!” wants Danes to act and act now — without precautions. “Denmark is facing a crisis,” the company, Spies Rejser, says.
”We are concerned. The fewer Danes means fewer people to support the aging population — but sadly, also fewer Spies travelers.”

In reality, of course, this is a fairly clever ad campaign for a travel agency rather than a government program (and one that probably wouldn’t be considered acceptable for American television thanks to the incredibly prudish broadcast rules we have here).

So come on Danes, it’s your patriotic duty!

Pope Francis to Meet with Obama

After a stinging rebuke by European Leaders to further punish Vladimir Putin, with his tail between his legs the President heads for the Vatican for a photo-op with Pope Francis in hope of drumming up the Catholic vote for mid-term elections.

Vatican City (AFP) - "Barack Obama will meet Pope Francis for the first time Thursday for talks on a shared agenda to fight inequality which the US President hopes will help boost support at home. The talks between the first Latin-American pope and first African-American US president will focus on tackling the gap between the rich and the poor, but are likely to spill over into thornier issues such as abortion, homosexuals and contraception.
Obama is "mostly going I think to bask in the glow of the new Pope," said Jeremy Shapiro, visiting fellow at Washington's Brookings institute.
Obama said he was "hugely impressed" by Francis's inclusive approach after the pope called for the Church to stop obsessing debating teachings on abortion, homosexuals and contraception. However, Vatican experts say the relationship is not as cozy as it once was between pope Jean Paul II and Ronald Reagan, and Francis is unlikely to refrain from tackling Obama on his domestic and foreign policy.
Religious expert John Allen told Vatican Radio Obama will be fishing for Catholic votes to help him keep a hold on the Senate."

Putin: "I Will Shut Off Russian Prostitute Pipeline"

Middle Finger News Service

Vladimir Putin raised the stakes in the standoff over Ukraine today by threatening to cut off the flow of Russian prostitutes to Europe. Coming one week after the United States imposed sanctions on several officials within his inner-circle, Putin's latest move is leading many to speculate on his mental state.

"This is either a bluff or the man has lost his mind," remarked Garret Frum of the Guardian Newpaper, "The gas we'd expect, but if Putin skips straight to the hookers, that would be a real problem."

Despite having taken measures to reduce their dependence on Russian natural gas in recent years, Europe still imports over 60% of its prostitutes, and nearly 75% of its high-grade prostitutes, from the Russian Federation.

"Most European countries cannot provide for their own prostitute needs because their women either lack adequate exposure to crushing poverty or are too ugly," stated European Commission Francois Lafayette, "This gives Russia the power to cause problems - because they could force men to have sex with Romanian prostitutes or their own wives."

If completely shut off, the loss of the 1 million harems of high-grade Hookers Russia currently supplies the West per year could lead to catastrophic repercussions.

"Such a move would certainly heighten tension throughout the region," Lafayette said, "Tension that would build and build and eventually could cause a sticky situation that's bound to get messy."
