Has Obama Sought Legal Counsel On Immigration?

"If the White House press corps wants to keep government honest, here's a question to ask as President Obama prepares to legalize millions of undocumented immigrants by executive order: Has he sought, and does he have, any written legal justification from the Attorney General and the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) for his actions?
This would be standard operating procedure in any normal Presidency....
It's possible Messrs. Obama and Holder haven't sought an immigration opinion because they suspect there's little chance that even a pliant Office of Legal Counsel could find a legal justification. Prosecutorial discretion is a vital legal concept, but it is supposed to be exercised in individual cases, not to justify a refusal to follow the law against entire classes of people." — The Editors, The Wall Street Journal

ISIS Sets Sights on Saudi Arabia

Not Really a Good Time to be a Prince
"In a 17-minute audio message, purportedly from its elusive leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the group sets its sights firmly on Saudi Arabia, birthplace of Islam and the world's largest oil producer and exporter.
The speaker does not refer to it as Saudi Arabia, since this is a name derived from the ruling tribe, the al-Saud, whose authority ISIS does not accept.  Instead he calls it "the land of Haramayn", the land of the two holy places, meaning Mecca and Medina.
Reaching out to ISIS's growing number of Saudi followers, he sets out a target list for attack, starting with the Shia who make up a minority of Saudi nationals, living mostly in the oil-rich Eastern Province, and whom hardline Salafi radicals view as heretics.  So deep are the sectarian divisions opened up in the Middle East by the insurgency in Iraq that many Saudis view ISIS not as a marauding band of terrorists but as brave defenders of Sunni Islam against the encroaching forces of Iran and its Shia allies.
Saudi officials have long been warning that their country is the primary target of ISIS.
Having declared itself a caliphate this summer, it was inevitable that sooner or later the group would turn its attention to the largest and most important country in the region.  Saudi Arabia's supreme religious authority, the grand mufti, has branded IS as the "greatest enemy of Islam".
A recent op-ed written in the New York Times by Saudis close to the government said: "Saudi Arabia is the only authority in the region with the power and legitimacy to bring IS down."
Today the Saudis find themselves in an extremely uncomfortable position.  Their air force has joined the US-led coalition in conducting numerous air strikes against IS positions in Syria, yet this is deeply unpopular with many Saudis.  A prince who has flown sorties against IS in an F15 jet has reportedly received death threats.
More than 2,000 Saudi nationals are estimated to have joined the ranks of ISIS, bringing with them an extreme brand of "takfiri" ideology that views large portions of the population with suspicion and intolerance."

AWD: An Open Letter to Ghetto Black America

The organizers of the #Ferguson riots to come when Officer Darren Wilson is not
indicted are telling white people they will have to “deal with it.” And deal with it,
I hope the people in St Louis do. Enough is a whole hell of a lot more than enough!

by Angry White Dude
Dear Ghetto Black America,
We’ve needed to have this talk for a long time. Because of the rules of political correctness, we have been prohibited from speaking our mind about your behavior. But that time has ended. Decent people in America are tired of your behavior and, more specifically, we are tired of you!
AWD should define what I mean by “ghetto blacks.” I do not use this term to define all black people. There are many, many black people in America who live peaceful, law-abiding lives. They contribute to America in a very meaningful way. I am not referring to them as ghetto blacks. They are welcome in my home and as my friends. But there is a too-sizable percentage of the black population that remains in “the ghetto.”
Ghetto blacks are those who are a burden to society and decent, responsible people of all races. Ghetto blacks are those who have dropped out of school, have numerous illegitimate children with several “baby-daddies,” pack our courts and fill our prisons because of rampant crime, etc. Ghetto blacks are those who will not work and are content to live on welfare and other social programs. These people will stand in line 8 hours with thousands of other ghetto blacks in 100 degree heat for a spot on the waiting list for Section 8 housing but won’t fill out a job application as we witnessed in Atlanta last year. Ghetto blacks are violent, sullen, ignorant, disrespectful, immoral, profane and filled with hatred. They especially possess a true hatred of all white people.
Ghetto blacks ridicule black students who make good grades as “being white” and blame their own failures on whitey, the man, Jim Crow or slavery. Ghetto blacks idolize gangstas, pimps and rappers covered in tattoos and bullet wounds. They ridicule other blacks who choose to be responsible, educated and contribute to society as “selling out.”
Ghetto blacks are led by race pimps like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan whose message of hatred further poisons the empty souls of other ghetto blacks. If you are black and reading this, you will know if you are a ghetto black or not.
Because of the corruption of government, ghetto blacks have been allowed to live off of American taxpayers without producing anything for generations. Welfare, social programs, Affirmative Action, Section 8 housing, etc have turned you into violent, worthless moochers who are a tremendous burden on productive Americans. The reward we receive for feeding, clothing and housing you is ignorance, violence, hatred and crime. We, the responsible, law-abiding Americans have had enough....."
I have said many times over I believe each race can achieve equally. I also believe in judging everyone by their actions and not the color of their skin. I don’t like trashy people of any race so don’t waste your time calling me a racist.

Who Be the Stupid Ones?

Middle Finger News Guest Editorial
By Dr. Jonathan Gruber

I’m not the egomaniacal, deceptive monster you think I am. Making the rounds on the internet is an unflattering videos of me speaking at an academic conference, a place where great minds share the fruits of scholarship.

To the uninformed viewer, one of my remarks may seem disparaging, as if I were suggesting American voters suffer from below-average intelligence. The 22-second clip if often viewed out of context, and it’s a far cry from what I was clumsily trying to express, which was simply this:

You stupid. Me not stupid.

Here’s the rub: I was recruited to help with the architecture of the Affordable Care Act. My only goal, I can assure you, was to humbly offer my expertise to improve the way health care in the U.S. is financed, administered and regulated. In short, we wanted to reduce overall costs, improve efficiency, and extend quality coverage to everyone. However, we faced seemingly insurmountable political barriers, because people wanted to know who the hell was going to pay for everything. Voters wouldn’t accept a law based on raising taxes or costs to individuals, even if everyone would benefit from it. Pardon me, I’m using too many long sentences. If I may, I’ll put my thoughts in terms I think you’ll find rather comprehensible:

I smart, but me good. I use brain to help you. You stupid. But I like you.

After thousands of hours of pure thinking, during which I literally burned millions of calories, I understood we needed to obfuscate the content of ACA, to spread its many provisions, sections, bells and whistles between thousands of pages, thereby hiding the costs and confusing legislators into concession. People are more likely to support something they don’t fully understand, especially if you assure them it’s for their own good. What we came up with was a nation-sized Rube Goldberg machine, beautifully complex and clever. Yes, we took a few liberties with the truth, but only to impose a law on people for their own good. That’s not wrong, is it? What is wrong is a few self-interested politicians and fear-mongering demagogues trying to get in the way. Oh dear, I’ve adopted my fancy speak again. Allow me to rephrase:

Bad guys say: we no want doctors for all people. Bad guys say: we like people get sick and have no doctors. Not me. I good and me smart. I write law with many big words to trick bad guys. Bad guys say: we ok with law, now. Ha ha.

That’s to say, we wrote the bill in tortured way so the Congressional Budget Office would not score the health insurance mandate as a tax. It would have been much better to simply give people money to offset their health care costs, but that was not feasible, politically speaking, so we had to make changes to the tax code that no one can understand anyway. Lack of transparency is a huge political advantage, as you can see my dear imbiciles. Oh my, I’ve slipped into brainy talk again. What a goof. Believe me, I don’t in any way doubt your intelligence, it’s just that we economists tend to communicate in academic shoptalk. Let me summarize this heartfelt mea culpa by putting my thoughts in the simplest terms.

You stupid. Me smart. Really.
