MFNS - On this weekends Sunday TV political gabfest, Susan Rice will once again take to the airwaves to defend the Obama administrations decision to release the Gitmo 5 and prove the success of the swap of army deserter Bowe Bergdahl for the five terrorist held at Guantanamo Bay. Fear arose by some that the notorious terrorist would rejoin jihad and continue to make trouble.
But Rice is set show the 5 men, with a generous grant from the US State Department (a forerunner of their Jobs For Jihadist program idea)are a shining example of the success of the Obama State Dept and their compassionate foreignpolicy toward Muslims.
Rice says the 5 have given up their jihadists ways and adopted full tilt American style entrepreneur capitalism.

UPI- The first lady's visit to Cambodia was part of the the White House's
"Let Girls Learn" initiative but her cause rang hollow to Cambodia's
outspoken prime minister. Michelle Obama's tour of Asia to promote girls' education was marked by blunt criticism from Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, who said the first lady was "playing around" and using hopeful rhetoric about making improvements but not guaranteeing aid.
The Phnom Penh Post reported that Hun Sen told U.S. embassypersonnel Wednesday that Obama's
Saturday visit with 10 schoolgirls in the Cambodian city of Siem Reap,
part of the White House's "Let Girls Learn" initiative, was good but not
enough. He said the U.S. government should promise scholarships – if it
sincerely seeks improvements to education reform in Cambodia. "Her mission is very good, but I suggest the United States should
help completely and not play like this," the Cambodian prime minister
said. Obama's visit has led to a request from his education minister on
Tuesday for state university scholarships for the 10 students who met
with Obama on Saturday. "What if she chose 300 students? It would be death. I don't have that money to give....."

A Retrospective Defense of U.S. Army Deserter Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl
by Robert Janicki On Wednesday, the United States Army charged Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl with
'desertion of duty and misbehaving before the enemy', while on duty and
serving in Afghanistan in 2009. Most people understand the concept of
desertion, which implies voluntarily leaving an assigned military area
without permission or privilege. Since the trade of the five Taliban
military commanders in 2014 for Sgt. Bergdahl, a rising chorus has
arisen to indicate that Bergdahl voluntarily left his assigned post in
Afghanistan because of his disgust and disdain for America, not a charge
to be lightly made, which thus characterized Bergdahl as being at the
very least a deserter.

Rice as National Security Adviser to President Obama going on the Sunday
TV News talk show circuit when the Obama administration traded five
Taliban terrorists for the return of Sgt. Bergdahl back in 2014. Pay
special attention to Rice's comments describing Sgt. Bergdahl as having
"served with honor and distinction" while in the Afghanistan theater of
operations. At the time this deal was made, there were comments already
being made by those who served with Sgt. Bergdahl accusing him of being
no less than a deserter and a traitor.
Now flash forward to the Army announcement on Wednesday charging Sgt.
Bergdahl with at least two crimes under the Uniform Code of Military

It is now becoming obvious that the trade to return Sgt.
Bergdahl was principally made on a political basis. It appears to
knowledgable observers that President Obama used the trade opportunity
to reduce the Guantanamo Detention Center population by five inmates in a
continuing move to reduce the population to the point of being able to
close Guantanamo Detention Center through shear attrition of inmates.
Secondly,
the Obama administration made the specific decision to use the release
of Sgt. Bergdahl as a photo opportunity with Bergdahl's parents in the
Rose Garden of the White House. It would appear that the Obama
administration believed that they could get a 'two fer' with this photo
op. The Obama administration wanted to be cast in the role of patriotic
savior of Sgt. Bergdahl using the tag line of "no soldier left behind",
while being able to point to their political supporters that the
administration was working to close the Guantanamo Detention Center,
which Obama promised to do in the first month of his administration in
2009.
The Obama administration had to
know at the time of the prisoner trade that the circumstances of Sgt.
Bergdahl's leaving his post was most probably desertion, since so many
soldiers who had served with Sgt. Bergdahl, had already spoken up about
the facts of Sgt. Bergdahl leaving his post, which clearly implicated
him as a deserter and by extension, a traitor.
What
is amazing is the arrogance and hubris of the Obama administration in
believing that they could actually get away with using Sgt. Bergdahl as a
political pawn and the photo op with Bergdahl's parents as an
opportunity to enhance the president's political popularity rating in
the polls.
In a development that has largely been missed by mainstream media, the Pentagon early last month quietly declassified a Department of Defense top-secret document detailing Israel's nuclear program, a highly covert topic that Israel has never formally announced to avoid a regional nuclear arms race, and which the US until now has respected by remaining silent.
But by publishing the declassified document from 1987, the US reportedly breached the silent agreement to keep quiet on Israel's nuclear powers for the first time ever, detailing the nuclear program in great depth.
The timing of the revelation is highly suspect, given that it came as tensions spiraled out of control between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama ahead of Netanyahu's March 3 address in Congress, in which he warned against the dangers of Iran's nuclear program and how the deal being formed on that program leaves the Islamic regime with nuclear breakout capabilities.
Another highly suspicious aspect of the document is that while the Pentagon saw fit to declassify sections on Israel's sensitive nuclear program, it kept sections on Italy, France, West Germany and other NATO countries classified, with those sections blocked out in the document.
The revelation marks a first in which the US published in a document a description of how Israel attained hydrogen bombs. The report also notes research laboratories in Israel "are equivalent to our Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore and Oak Ridge National Laboratories," the key labs in developing America's nuclear arsenal.
Israel's nuclear infrastructure is "an almost exact parallel of the capability currently existing at our National Laboratories," it adds.
Aside from nuclear capabilities, the report revealed Israel at the time had "a totally integrated effort in systems development throughout the nation," with electronic combat all in one "integrated system, not separated systems for the Army, Navy and Air Force." It even acknowledged that in some cases, Israeli military technology "is more advanced than in the U.S."
Declassifying the report comes at a sensitive timing as noted above, and given that the process to have it published was started three years ago, that timing is seen as having been the choice of the American government.
"We are led by men and women educated to believe in the irresistible authority of their own words. When they encounter others who use words solely to deflect and defraud, or, worse, when their opposite numbers ignore words completely and revel in ferocious violence, our best and brightest go into an intellectual stall and keep repeating the same empty phrases (in increasingly tortured tones):
“Violence never solves anything.” “There’s no military solution.” “War is never the answer.” “Only a negotiated solution can resolve this crisis.” “It isn’t about religion.”
Or the latest and lamest: “We need to have strategic patience,” and “Terrorists need jobs.”
Every one of those statements is, demonstrably, nonsense most — or all — of the time. But the end result of very expensive educations is a Manchurian Candidate effect that kicks in whenever the core convictions of the old regime are questioned. So we find ourselves with leaders who would rather defend platitudes than defend their country.
Once-great universities have turned into political indoctrination centers worthy of the high Stalinist Era or the age of Mao’s Cultural Revolution. Their aims may be more benign, but their unwillingness to consider alternative worldviews is every bit as rigid. Students in the social sciences at Harvard or Yale today are cadets being groomed to serve a soft-Socialist form of government conceived not in the streets, but in the very same classrooms.
