Democrats Fly Into Action To Politicize Las Vegas

DT - Not content with turning the Puerto Rican victims of Hurricane Maria into political pawns, a growing number of Dems are doing the same with those killed or injured during the rampage by a crazed man named Stephen Paddock.

Then there was the fanatical Trump hating Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy who was quick on the draw to blame Congress (translation: Republicans and Trump) for not moving quickly enough to roll back the Second Amendment rights of millions of law-abiding Americans. Murphy:

"Congress needs to get off its ass and do something about gun violence" — The Hill (@thehill) October 2, 2017

Murphy’s fellow Democrat Richard Blumenthal took a rare break from conspiracy mongering about the Russians to also demand that Congress act to stop the violence by the flawed logic that taken to its faulty conclusion would ensure that only criminals were armed and citizens were at their mercy:

“Although many details of this mass shooting remain unclear, one thing is certain: yet again, we are watching in horror as another American community is torn apart by the terrible devastation wrought by a gunman. Still, Congress refuses to act. I am more than frustrated, I am furious.” - The Hill.

Murphy and Blumenthal fancy themselves as some sort of national authorities on the drive to confiscate the guns of Americans simply because their state was the one in which the Sandy Hook Elementary School murders took place, thereby giving them free reign on exploiting victims to push their vile and unconstitutional agenda.

They will soon be joined by even more members of their party like maggots on fresh roadkill for whom disarmament is a winning issue, right up there with race-baiting, transgender bathrooms and incredible yarns of the Kremlin infiltration of the highest levels of the United States government. Expect Trump and the NRA to take the bulk of the attacks because the Democrats are no longer driven by reason, they are just lashing out blindly, instinctive actions of the basest animal instincts of their psyches which have been eaten by terminal TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and the fury over a lost election.

The mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico may have bitten off a little more than she can chew by politicizing the Trump administration’s Hurricane Maria relief efforts. When not busy cranking out nifty custom T-shirts and hats by candlelight, Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz has made a name for herself complaining about the people who have come to her island to help with recovery efforts.

The mayor is all the rage in political circles because of her driving criticism of President Donald Trump, and does she ever play up to the billing, appearing on CNN with a T-shirt emblazoned with the words “help us, we are dying.” The anti-Trump media only needs ONE person to trash the president and they flock to the political stooge like moths to a light.  And as expected, CNN was only too happy to help disseminate the anti-Trump political narrative Cruz is pushing

But Angel Perez, the mayor of nearby Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, said the Trump administration has been fantastic in providing hurricane-relief aid, and suggested San Juan Mayor might better serve her city if she actually did her job by attending FEMA.

Fox News Correspondent & Reporter and Attorney Geraldo Rivera, who’s Puerto Rican, is on the ground in San Juan. Rivera saw things differently too. “On the ground I see the suffering-but feel deeply that attacking @realDonaldTrump for the ravages of nature &neglect is politicizing tragedy,” he tweeted.

Rivera caught up with Mayor Cruz, without her custom-made T-shirt and said she was “being partisan in her sharp unfair attacks,” although he did not agree with President Trump’s most recent assessment of her criticism he point blank told the mayor:“I’ve been traveling around, I don’t see people dying.  I spoke to the doctors, they say they saw 53 patients and they had a person who was septic, but nobody dying.” 

San Juan ‘s mayor has been all over CNN and MSNBC bashing Trump but doesn’t bother to attend critical meetings to help residents get the aid they desperately need. But what the hey, for the dems and the media, its too good of a fake news story to pass up...........

Standing Up to Pee Gives Boys an Unfair Advantage in Physics

PJM - Yes, you read the headline correctly. In the latest example of identity politics taken to its absurd end, three Australian college professors believe that "playful urination practices may give boys an advantage over girls when it comes to understanding physics."

The three professors didn't publish their thoughts on a satirical website like The Onion.  They published on Tes, a website that provides "educational materials, jobs, news, and courses from the world's best community of teachers and school leaders."

In the article entitled "Taking the pee out of physics: how boys are getting a leg-up", Anna Wilson, Kate Wilson, and David Low argue with a straight face that peeing standing up provides an advantage for boys over girls. Explaining what prompted their conclusion about the advantages peeing standing up gives boys, the professors write,

"The gender gap in physics, and other related subjects including engineering, has long been a cause for concern."

After casually going through a list of possible explanations for why young women might not perform as well in physics as do young men — things like lack of female physics teachers, cultural pressure and expectations, and gender bias in the teaching materials — they conclude: "there may be another reason, too."

After noting that girls lag in areas of physics that deal with projectile motion, the article reveals:

"Like many parents of small (and not-so-small) boys, two of us (KW and DL) have observed the great delight young males take in urination, a process by which they produce and direct a visible projectile arc." 

Laying further groundwork for the assertion that standing up to pee aids in learning physics, the three detail the ways in which peeing standing up is a central yet fun part of the male life:

"The fact that boys (and men) play with their ability to projectile pee is hardly contentious. Boys are trained to pee into toilet bowls with floating targets, a huge variety of which can be bought on Amazon; Amsterdam Airport Schiphol famously cleaned up its urinals by encouraging men to hit flies etched next to the drain. 

All this is experienced up to five times a day, so by 14, boys have had the opportunity to play with projectile motion around 10,000 times. And 14 is when many children meet formalized physics in the form of projectile motion and Newton’s equations of motion for the first time."

So according to the three esteemed college professors, peeing standing up is not only a "delightful" activity for boys (who I have been told take to an entirely different level of activity on a regular basis as they get older) but also gives boys an intellectual advantage over girls also.  But to their credit they do acknowledge that "there is no simple way to provide girls with the same opportunities for exploring projectile motion" that boys have. While the authors of the article don't propose it, in today's world it may not be a stretch to assume that the next step for progressives pursuit of equality and social justice on college campus would be to make it illegal for men to pee standing up.....
