Obama’s Worthless Threats

by Peter Wehner
"Oh, my. According to press reports,
President Barack Obama had condemned the violence in Ukraine, saying that the U.S. holds the government “primarily responsible for ensuring they are handling protesters peacefully” and that “there will be consequences if people step over the line.”
“We expect the Ukrainian government to show restraint, to not resort to violence,” Obama said after arriving in Mexico for a brief trade summit. “We expect peaceful protesters to remain peaceful.”
Have more empty words ever been uttered by an American president?
"In the aftermath of Mr. Obama telling the Syrian regime that using chemical weapons would cross a “red line,” and then doing nothing serious in response to it, the president’s latest threat is probably evoking belly laughs in Kiev.
It’s clear that around the globe today, the person who is respected and feared and shaping world events is not Mr. Obama, who is seen as an impotent amateur, but the brutal Vladimir Putin, who is reasserting Russian dominance in Ukraine and the Middle East, among other places.
We all know Barack Obama is weak and essentially powerless; he simply makes things worse with his bluster. He’s a pushover, and the entire world–our adversaries and our allies–know it."

The classic education of the past can be a dangerous thing.
It opens your mind and make you think .......like those Founding Fathers did.

Another Rat Crawls Out of the Sewer to Run for Congress

Former Louisiana Gov. Edwin Edwards is plotting a return to politics after serving nearly 9 years in prison for racketeering, extortion and money laundering.

 Former federal prison inmate #03128-095
is running for Congress in Louisiana
"Edwin Edwards, a popular pol in his day, will try to make a political comeback despite his federal racketeering conviction 12 years ago and his advanced age: The Democrat is 86 years old.
Edwards told Bloomberg News on Wednesday that he'll try to win the seat held by Republican Bill Cassidy, who's vacating it to run for the U.S. Senate.
'I'm the only hope the Democrats have here,' the disgraced four-term governor said. And the kind of voters who will dismiss him because he's a convicted felon, he reasoned, 'wouldn't have voted for me anyway.' Edwards insists he's serious, saying he's 'just figuring out all the legalities and how to set up a super PAC, and then I'm going.'
That could be illegal in itself: Super PACs are independent political committees that aren't allowed to coordinate with the candidates they support. But there were no Super PACs in the 1960s, the last time he ran for Congress – and won.
Edwards was sentenced to 10 years in the slammer – he served eight and a half – for racketeering, extortion, money laundering, mail fraud and wire fraud in connection with a kickback scheme involving a for-profit company that built prisons all across America."

I recently met former Governor Edwards at a Book-signing at a local bookstore. He is as sharp, charming and slick as ever. He once admitted to "60 Minutes"  Mike Wallace in an interview he was crooked. He was promptly re-elected to the Governor's Mansion.  Bill Clinton has nothing on this guy.

Outside of the Family of Huey Long, Edwards is possible the most popular politician in Louisiana history, and given the district he has chosen, it will be no surprise if he is given by the voters the opportunity to join Nancy Pelosi's Pack of Rats.

Prepare to Launch Led Balloon!!

"The New York Times tells us that Democrats have hit upon an exciting new strategy in the midterm elections: Talk about ObamaCare!
'Party leaders have decided on an aggressive new strategy to address the widespread unease with the health care law,' Ashley Parker reports, 'urging Democratic candidates to talk openly about the law’s problems while also offering their own prescriptions to fix them.'
The late Ed Koch was once asked if he would consent to have his picture taken with a tiger. 'The mayor is not a coward — and the mayor is also not a schmuck,' he said. If Democratic candidates adopt this 'aggressive new strategy,' they won’t just be posing with a tiger, they’ll be putting their heads in the tiger’s mouth.
They will demonstrate that they’re not cowards. But they sure will be schmucks." - John Podhoretz

Allah Prohibits Muslims on Mars

"Promoting or being involved in a one-way trip to the Red Planet is prohibited in Islam, a fatwa committee under the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment in the UAE has ruled."

“Such a one-way journey poses a real risk to life, and that can never be justified in Islam,” the committee said. “There is a possibility that an individual who travels to planet Mars may not be able to remain alive there, and is more vulnerable to death.” Whoever opts for this “hazardous trip”, the committee said, is likely to perish for no “righteous reason”, and thus will be liable to a “punishment similar to that of suicide in the Hereafter”.

The committee, presided by Professor Dr Farooq Hamada, said: “Protecting life against all possible dangers and keeping it safe is an issue agreed upon by all religions and is clearly stipulated in verse 4/29 of the Holy Quran: Do not kill yourselves or one another. Indeed, Allah is to you ever Merciful.”

Late in April 2013, Mars One, a Dutch company, invited volunteers to fly and live on the Red Planet, but there is no technology so far that would enable a return trip from Mars to Earth. The company is planning the first such trip to Mars in 2023 and another crew every two years afterwards with the goal of establishing a permanent human colony.
Thousands of volunteers, including some 500 Saudis and other Arabs, have reportedly applied for the mission which costs $6 billion. The committee indicated that some may be interested in traveling to Mars for escaping punishment or standing before Almighty Allah for judgment.

“This is an absolutely baseless and unacceptable belief because not even an atom falls outside the purview of Allah, the Creator of everything. This has also been clearly underscored in verse 19&20/93 of the Holy Quran in which Allah says: There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. (Indeed) He has enumerated them and counted them a (full) counting.”

Echoing the same, Islamic researcher Dr Shaikh Mohammed Al Ashmawy said there is no debate in this issue. “Almighty Allah said in verse 2/195 in the Holy Quran: Do not throw yourselves with your own hands into destruction.”

Sheikh Mohammed Yusuf, Imam of the Amena mosque, said: “Man’s life is not his or her own property; it is God’s creation, and therefore suicide is prohibited in all religions, and of course by law."
