Yes Virginia, "In a Time of Universal Deceit, Telling the Truth Is a Revolutionary Act"

Yesterday the left lost their lunch over remarks perceived as incendiary or inflammatory by commentator Laura Ingraham. From the pages of DailyKos and Splinter to even writers at the formerly respectable RedState stridently went after Ingram for her commentary, some even calling for her punishment. I happen to have been watching when she responded to remarks by the loony leftist Alexandria Ocashew-Cortex and her repeatedly gleeful commenting on America’s changing demographics.

From what I heard, I give Ingraham the benefit of the doubt and believe she was referring to assimilation, not race:

"Because in some parts of the country, it does seem like the America that we know and love doesn’t exist anymore. Massive demographic changes have been foisted upon the American people and they’re changes that none of us ever voted for and most of us don’t like. From Virginia to California, we see stark examples of how radically in some ways the country has changed. Now, much of this is related to both illegal and in some cases legal immigration that of course progressives love."

I read her comments as referring to assimilation because of context, the inclusion of legal immigration, and her past statements. She's become a big target for the left, but far from being the robe wearing racist they make her out to be. She's adopted three children from foreign countries, and not here to clean her pool or cut her lawn, eh Hollywood?

But still, to some these latest comments by Ingraham somehow prove her inherent racism, because as we all know, any white person born before 1970 is a closet racist.  The demographic change she notes goes hand-in-hand with the political changes being foisted on the country, and that is what she comments on, Politics.  There ARE enclaves of immigrants (both legal and illegal) who would prefer NOT to assimilate into American society and culture, and even some elements that would prefer to radically alter it. There ARE fewer and fewer people who identify as strictly “American” and would instead prefer to be a member of the growing number of hyphenated groups.

What leftist media keyboard stalinist refuse to acknowledge is that not every negative comment about immigrants or black celebrities, sports heroes and politicians is born of racial or ethnic animus. Those who make those connections through their righteous indignation and their propensity to signal their virtue while seeing a racial/ethnic bogeyman behind every tree, one has to ask: who is the one preoccupied with race or ethnicity??

Alexandria Ocashew-Cortex Claims Democrats Conquered the Moon and Gave You Electricity

It's always amazed me how much crazy that leftist are able to squeeze into such a small space. In this case it's the cranium of "The new face of the Democratic Party", who made some absurd claims in a speech at the annual meeting of the Nutroots Netroots Nation in New Orleans. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t seem to know anything about economics or politics, and it turns out very little about history. I think it only fair that Boston University refund the money for her education because it clearly didn’t stick.

No, Ms. Ocashew-Cortex, the interstate highway system was an Eisenhower initiative, MLK never endorsed a Democrat politician, and the majority of democrats in congress opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Now I could be wrong, but I don't think The Democratic Party filled a space capsule full of liberals and shot it to the moon. While politicizing the moon landing is ridiculous, taking Democratic Party ownership of electricity is downright insane.

She did manage to get one thing right: they are the party of Roosevelt, and as we all know FDR put thousands of Japanese Americans in prison camps, so maybe claiming him isn’t the best boast democrats can come up with. He’s a leftist hero, but by their own standards he was also a racist monster. She also conveniently left out a few things: Dems are also the party of slavery, the KKK & Jim Crow. They were the slave owners who revolted against the United States. They were the ones who lynched black people. They are the ones who segregated public places for “white’s only.” I guess she could have given dems credit for inventing global warming and the internet, but just ran out of time.....

The Lovely Alyssa Milano Makes the Case for Voter ID

Alyssa Milano has emerged as a major voice in the highly populated, unhinged Hollywood left. She’s been a vehement Trump critic from day one, and someone who can be counted on anytime to support whatever crazy left-wing cause du jour may come down the pipe. She currently has a staggering following of over 3 Million on the tweeter and possesses the superpower to spot a Nazi from afar.  So, when you say “who cares what she thinks” just remember: as hard as it is to believe, a lot of people do. All of that being said, we give credit where credit is due.  If you’re right, you’re right, and it’s finally happened.

We.....we actually agree with Alyssa Milano. But Wait!! Before you go calling the men in white coats from the asylum to come chase me down with a net, let me explain.....

Tuesday night, like many of you political junkies and junkettes, she watched the Ohio 12 primary results roll in. Being a staunch, self-righteous Hollywood liberal, she was utterly crushed and demoralized to see that DJT's chosen one wind up with a probable win.  This wasn't supposed to happen (that blue wave thingy coming and all ya know). But because it did happen, it's clearly another case of “The Russians” interfering in US elections:

Guess what. She’s right. This election was so close, so reliant on a razor-thin margin that we should never again allow even the possibility of voter fraud to enter our minds. Voter ID's for all! No one should tolerate the idea that the Ruskies could generate fake protest votes in an effort to derail the ascension of duly elected superior liberals. We need strong Voter ID laws that ensures every vote is cast by those who are legally empowered to do so and protects against the disenfranchisement of citizens. Darlin', you've made the case!

CNN Laments: Where Are All You Hispanic Anti-Trump Voters?

 CNN Reporter Interviews an Unaccompanied Undocumented Minor Child at Undisclosed Border Patrol Camp

According to a new report at CNN, despite the over-the-top coverage and numerous misleading news stories about happenings at the southern border, a once believed guaranteed segment of the midterm Blue Wave vote doesn't seemed to have materialized. If you are one of the head honchos in charge of the cable news programing, this has to be a bitter pill to swallow considering the non-stop drumbeat of CNN’s 24/7 anti-Trump coverage.

"Democrats have hit an unexpected speed bump in their drive to regain control of Congress: unsettling signs that the party may not generate as much turnout or support among Latino voters this fall as it expected. 

Despite a procession of provocations from President Donald Trump — from ending deportation protections for so-called “Dreamers,” young immigrants brought to the country illegally by their parents, to his now-terminated policy that resulted in children being separated from their undocumented parents at the border — a growing number of Democratic strategists are privately concerned that their candidates are not consolidating Latino support as much as they anticipated in several key races."

Allow me to translate that last bit from its native, unintelligible, CNN-speak. What they’re really saying is: “Despite the fact that we spent 2 years coughing up an endless stream of news stories telling you that you’re supposed to hate Donald Trump, you Latinos haven’t been listening. We’re very important and we don’t understand how you can possibly ignore our epic 700-day rant.”

In case you didn’t get the message, they’ve even outlined some places where people are, apparently, doing a little too much “thinking on their own.” There is, CNN suggests, still time to turn this around.

"While cautioning that there is still time to reverse the trend, they point to signs of wavering Hispanic support and engagement in House districts in Texas, Nevada, Florida and California, and in Senate races in Texas, Nevada, Florida and Arizona. 

“I still think it’s a little too soon to push the panic button, but having said that, we are not seeing the types of numbers with Hispanic voters that we should be seeing with the most hostile person to ever hold public office against Hispanics as the President,” said Fernand Amandi, principal at Bendixen & Amandi International, a Democratic polling firm that specializes in studying Latino voters. “And that in and of itself is a concern. I’m flabbergasted.”

This basically translates to: “How dare you ignore our tribalist identity politics? We simply can’t understand why you’re not acknowledging our superiority. You’ve been told what to think, and yet you’re thinking other things!!” And when some guy named Fernand Amandi starts using words like 'flabbergasted' you should know right there things gettin' real round the hacienda.

Just last week there was encouraging news about rising African-American support for Trump, and now we have this. Are you listening CNN? MSNBC?

Comedians Have Totally Ruined The Art of Political Humor

I recently read that The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, who some say is funny(?) had used his show to make a preachy, lengthy speech about the nature of national identity, arguing that he’s right to celebrate the French World Cup players as both French and African. Why anyone would really care is beyond me. Then I came across an article in The Atlantic that argued the present crop of comedians see themselves (and also seen by their mostly ill-informed millennial audience) as the new public intellectuals, fashioning themselves not just as joke-tellers, but as truth-tellers, as intellectual and moral guides through the cultural debates of the moment. Yeah, let that sink in. 

In the past,  philosophers and political theorists held a public role of guiding national debates and parsing the nuances of current affairs. Nowadays, narcissistic comedians have appointed themselves to increasingly taking on that responsibility, but not doing a very good job.

Comedy is no less powerful a weapon today than in earlier decades, but what has changed is the environment and audiences that comedians address. Just as politics has become more partisan, so too has culture more broadly jaded and resistant to any ideas of which they don't completely agree. Comedians today are predominantly on the left of the political spectrum and cater to an audience that shares the same views.  More and more comedians are losing the joke part altogether. Having become political comedians, they’re dropping the comedy, offering up instead propaganda, goofy skits and caustic sarcasm strained through a twisted filter of the news. They care not if what they say is based in truth, they're "comedians", it need not be true if they oppose their object of scorn.

Comedians are becoming, as their like minded comrades of the media, straightforward leftist commentators, live action versions of the more vile left wing websites, while nightly their ill-informed audiences lap up their half-truths and clap like trained seals when the Applause Sign lights up.

West Hollywood Politburo Wants Star of Fame Terminated

When there were calls for the removal of Bill Cosby's star from the Hollywood walk of fame amid multiple sexual assault claims leveled against the comedian, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said it did not remove stars over backlash and cited historical landmark status.

But The West Hollywood City Council will vote Monday night on a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to permanently remove Donald Trump’s walk of fame star. Why?

"The City Council will consider adopting a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Donald J. Trump’s star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country," reads the agenda item for the Monday meeting."

Shared values of the City of West Hollywood?!! Now that's funny to anyone who has ever been to West Hollywood. This is understandable I guess. In a city of full of weirdos, perverts and the queerest place outside of Frisco and hard to tell who is really a man or a woman, it seems they're okay with one of their own like Bill Cosby drugging and rapping women  .
