Barack Obama is fiddling while the world burns. Iraq, Pakistan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Kenya, Syria. These foreign wildfires, with more surely to come, will burn unabated for two years until the United States has a new president. The one we've got can barely notice. 

The big Obama bet is that Americans' opinion-polled 'fatigue' with the world (if not his leadership) frees him to push his progressive domestic legacy. Meanwhile, Iraq may be transforming into (a) a second Syria or (b) a restored caliphate. Past some point, the world's wildfires are going to consume the Obama legacy. And leave his successor a nightmare."

ISIS Advances in World Cup Tournament

(MFNS) RIO-The soccer world was shaken today as the team from ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) overwhelming defeated heavily favored North Korea in the most chilling and sound defeat of the 2014 tourney.

Quickly down 2 to 0, Isis' Syrian born Belzal-el-Rosheed, better known as "The Assassin" went to work on the hapless Korean team and scored 3 unanswered goals to take the win. The coach of the NORK team lodged protest of two of the goals, claiming human heads kicked it into the net do not count as legal scores. The protest was quickly overturned by visibly shaken referees. 

This win for ISIS sets up a much anticipated and highly explosive eye-to-eye match with the rival Iraqi Al Qaeda Team set for this weekend. 

Update: The entire North Korean Soccer team has refused to return to Pyongyang and has ask for consideration of political asylum anywhere by anyone.

Like any corporate document, it uses computer-generated graphics, details a management strategy, lists performance and targets."

"The report, written in Arabic with a photograph of an ISIS gunman on its cover, has been analysed by the US think-tank, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which has corroborated much of the information. John Lawrence, of the Washington-based institute said: 'These numbers are not just purely propaganda figures.'

ISIS even records the number of people who renounced Islam then repented – and contains one sickening category headed 'apostates run over."

"Prosecutors are alleging that Governor Scott Walker and Karl Rove were part of a “criminal scheme” which coordinated illegal campaign fundraising."

"Prosecutors allege Gov. Scott Walker was at the center of an effort to illegally coordinate fundraising among conservative groups to help his campaign and those of Republican state senators fend off recall elections during 2011 and ‘12, according to documents unsealed Thursday. In the documents, prosecutors lay out what they call an extensive “criminal scheme” to bypass state election laws by Walker, his campaign and two top Republican political operatives — R.J. Johnson and Deborah Jordahl. The governor and his close confidants helped raise money and control spending through 12 conservative groups during the recall elections, according to the prosecutors’ filings. 

The documents include an excerpt from an email in which Walker tells Karl Rove, former top adviser to President George W. Bush, that Johnson would lead the coordination campaign. Johnson is also Walker’s longtime campaign strategist and the chief adviser to Wisconsin Club for Growth, a conservative group active in the recall elections."

"It’s hard to say at this point how big of a scandal this really is. Often times, my first reaction to anyone being charged with a crime is: “Now, why is that illegal again?” Campaign finance law is generally one of those issues for me.
